I've been getting back into HTTYD recently, so here's a quick thunderdrum. I love these guys, they are the widest boys :)

This is the Exotertidae (species name) no commen name yet feel free to suggest some

It is kind of inspired by the lionfish and flying fish

They are a nocturnal carnivoric species, they are quite smart (think whale and octopus),they range in sizes from 5.11 feet long (1.81 meters) and 1.5 feet tall(0.53 meters) to 20.2 feet long(6.15 meters) and 5.3 feet tall (1.62 meters) or terrible terror size to baby scuttleclaw. Concept art

Some examples and designs of what Emmets team looked liked as babies, granted very similar to the original pokemon design just with a few minor differences.

Archen have some spikey feathers and their beaks are harder and heavier than normal so they tend to have balance issues till they evolve this affects their flying as babies.

Joltiks have tougher hides mostly the exposed spots on their backs which are also electric sacks that help in defence against large predators, they mostly don’t go on their own lest confident so they cling to their mothers back hiding in their fur.

Tynamo tend to stick in schools of fellow Tynamo , since their electric output is low, together they can generate and share power for defence mechanisms, a lone Tynamo is a dead Tynamo, unless they master the art of stealth.

Eelektrik are lone wolves, now they big and strong they hunt by themselves and have a serious bite for gripping prey and leaching their life.

The Purple Death

The Purple Death is a powerful Tidal Class Dragon that is stronger than the Red Death and Green Death, and probably even a Bewilderbeast.

Just like the Green Death it originated from the How to Train Your Dragon Book series specifically the first book. It made it's appearance in the Dragons: Rise Of Berk app game but also the comics as well. This dragon that was thought to have been extinct was so powerful it could only be taken down but putting it back to sleep through a Changewing's hypnosis.

I've been looking for motivation to draw for a while, and I decided to go outside and take pictures around where I live. And since I LOVE LOVE LOVE How To Train Your Dragon, I decided to also bring dragons into the world, so to speak

yknow, thinking about it, the tidal class of dragon went really unexplored in the httyd universe, i mean they got some great dragons, it's my favorite class for a reason but every dragon has been an open salt water dragon, and for a lot of the dragons they cheat with making them deep water dragons that barely surface so they can just straight up ignore the class, with the only exeption being the sculdron and thunderdrum, who still don't really get a whole lof of screen time, expecially in the movies i mean, just think about how cool a fresh water tidal dragon be? or maybe even a swamp dragon

I sunk 24 hours of rendering into this piece so MAY AS WELL POST IT

I had to design and illustrate an underground city for my concept art class, and decided to go with subterranean aliens building a vertical metropolis! I’m very inexperienced and no real good with xenobiology, so they ended up like walmart brand bug ferrets….. but I’m definitely happy with the style of architecture!!

Emmets team of PokeDragons.

Eelektross is of course his main , doesn’t mean he doesn’t love the rest equally as much! he spoils them and trains them specially , especially since he has two flightless Dragons but he happily still uses them in Races and Competitions.

Galvantula is semi Flyable as it’s wings are really extra legs/arms, so it uses webbing to glide or fly for short distance (of course Emmet has done special training to fix such flaw)

(I added Gurdurr and Boldore from the games since they aren’t mentioned as much nor noticed in many Au’s/Fanfics, frankly i don’t like Gurdurr but i can tolerate a Dragonfied one, Boldore i do like)
