Lazarus only takes around ten minutes before he's excitedly stood in front of the door to Jeanz's office. There's a small insulated bag holding three thermos bottles that hangs around his shoulder. He brings up his hands and knocks on the door

Jeanz heard the knock and grinned, getting up to open the door.

“Yer definitely not too late, Laz. Come in.”

Jeanz turned and headed back to her desk where there was a plate full of chocolates and a bowl full of the fruity gummies and the sour candy.

“What’s in tha bag?”

She tilted her head to the side curiously as she moved the treats Clara made to the coffee table.

Jeanz wandered into the workshop, hoping it would get rid of the energy that was still thrumming under her skin. Ususally watching Lazarus working helped for whatever reason.

Not tonight. She'd been too in her head from that mission, where she had to go back to the worst place, the place she had been through the worst point in her life. She made her way over to Laz, watching as he worked on what he was doing. Then, before she knew what she was doing, because the one bite necklace she had broke and she didn't want to break her teeth on her dogtags, she just, leaned over, biting Lazarus' forearm.

Lazarus hadn't reacted when Jeanz came into his workshop. His door was always unlocked when he was in there and there was a couch in there fora reason. He had been doing mindless work, constructing a gun with easy enough parts to just mindlessly assemble it, but the parts just specialized enough that it wouldn't be worth the trouble to make in a factory.

He had finished assembling a stock, reaching out to grab a pen from his drawer when he felt someone bite him. He initially wanted to jerk away before seeing who it was, "Decided t' finally have a taste of me O'Riley?"

I got the Long Dark on sale recently, and I've been having a blast with it. I'm pretty new to timber wolf encounters in the game, only just seeing them for the first time in story mode (episode 3), but I've found an... unconventional way to deal with them

If you don't ever acknowledge them and just keep walking without turning around, they just-- will not attack you at all lol. They'll follow you, snarling like mad, but won't bite.

I was trailing these wolves behind me for a Long distance, walking most of the way (since I'm carrying too much shit), and didn't get bit once

I assume it has something to do with their AI? In that the wolves like circle you and one of the wolves approaches to attack, but I'm guessing if you just never stop moving to engage them it gets Confused

This is just a lil thing for fun, it is serious but it's mostly just screwing around to see what sticks. I've been meaning to mess with an infection AU for a bit now, and MLP in general I used to love this show growing up and as someone who adores horror and silly zombie plots this is exactly up my alley thank you

This blog is mostly based around Rustbark Disease, which is the in-universe nickname for it, or Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae/Cedar Apple Rust. I love timber wolves, they're neat, and I haven't seen many people use them for one of these AUs just yet so I looked for some tree diseases and bonk, angry puppy. Also gave me an excuse to draw one with a birch body and weird elk-looking antlers, I love making a bunch of variants for things that do not need them. I'll probably make a post about timber wolf variants later on but for now: horror stuff!!

TWs for typical scaries below the cut, body horror, violence, it's based on a fungus disease so pretty much if The Last of Us freaks you out maybe don't, I suck at TWs I am sorry

And while I do want to include more stages, there are more 100%, I feel as though now is a good time to stop it. Leave some room for speculation... also I don't want to burn out before I even get started lol. I do have St3 mostly drawn but aaagh I don't wanna draw this many of what feels like the same thing to my brain so.... haha.. I'll probably scrap it

It moves a bit slower and is a bit less dramatic than some I've seen, but in my defense I am a nerd who loves doing research and most diseases tend to move kinda slow in most cases. I personally feel like that's scarier, anyways. The slow, drawn-out takeover is great for horror.

The infection is based off of a few different things, color-coded for your convenience. Primarily, the real-life Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae, or cedar-apple rust is a big inspiration. The fungus is non-lethal to the plant and mostly affects the appearance, so, with it mainly being transmitted by Timber Wolves, I also felt it made sense to base it off of diseases like Rabies and, since I design Timber Wolves with ungulate-like antlers, Chronic Wasting Disease/CWD. In the final stage, the infected collapses and the body begins to rot, but the fungus and spores continue to prosper.

It is inspired by games like The Last of Us and perhaps some Dying Light, but is not by any means a direct copy of anything. I tried to avoid taking inspiration from other AUs because I simply wanted to go wild with my imagination, so from here on out any unintentional similarities are purely coincidence.

All ponies (except for Zecora) shown in this post are nameless ocs for the point of showing off the disease.

All parts of this will be tagged with #Gymnosporangium, #Rustbark, and #Cedar Apple Rust, for the sake of simplicity. Non-canon entries have #Branch as a tag, as a silly little pun about trees and how it branches off from the main series, and designs I've made for the series are, of course, tagged #Design, as well as the character's name. Art that isn't mine is tagged #Not My Art, of course, such as edits or.. I dunno, picrews or something. Each post will have involved characters' names tagged as well. I never fully finished the original series and am in fact not too far in rewatching sadly, but I will strive for diversity as well as I can.

This is my current reading buddy, Ulfric. He's a Russ Berrie plushie from their Yomiko Classics series. His gray fur is a little rough to the touch (his white fur is pretty soft though), but he is absolutely beautiful and a great snuggling size, about 16 inches. I love finding cool plushies at thrift stores!

Jeanz was sitting on the couch in her office, reading a book as she took a break from paperwork, it felt like she had been drowning in it lately. Either she was doing paperwork or training recruits and rookies. She thought she heard someone outside her door, so she paused, looking up from her book, tilting her head to the side curiously as she waited to see if there was a knock.

I tried posting this before but tumblr keeps fucking up the formatting so trying again. But after some encouragement and thinking I'm gonna start posting my alterhuman art here! Swap Au - Starlight Glimmer

Starlight is swapped with Trixie in this au and is a simple traveling magician. The swap six knows not to take her bragging to heart and stops the towns folk from running her out of town after her show. Unfortunately for Starlight, she gets run out of town when some young ponies lead a group of angry timber wolves back to town for her to defeat, only to be exposed as a fraud and for the swap six to save her and the town

I had a whole book of Wolves when I was a kid that I read religiously. Wolves are one of my special interests and it's no wonder I'm a wolfkin. I used to daydream about being a wolf and had dreams that I WAS a wolf with a pack and didn't have to worry about any human things. It's really funny to me because in the dreams I was always a white wolf and now I'm a dark timber wolf
