The tree bumblebee or new garden bumblebee (Bombus hypnorum) is a precious little one. She is known for wearing a red coat and being an important pollinator for the raspberry. She can be found in Europe, Asia and the Náttúruval deck game.
Checkout our crowdfunding for the fantastic family game Náttúruval, a friendly game that's great for introducing kids to the animal kingdom.

Aesculus × carnea (red horse-chestnut) and Bombus ternarius (orange-belted bumblebee)
The red horse-chestnut is a cultivar produced by crossing Aesculus hippocastanum (common horse-chestnut) from southeastern Europe and Aesculus pavia (red buckeye), a shrub native to the southeastern United States. The history of this hybrid is a bit murky but it was probably developed in Germany before 1820. Full grown, a red horse-chestnut can top 12 meters tall (40ft) and it's crown will be almost as wide. They can live for centuries but this one is just a baby, probably about five years old.

Taryn: My father used to tell me that the earth would heal our wounds. That the ground would swallow our woes and our tears would nourish the soil beneath us. Pain was no stranger to the garden. A stubbed toe. A scraped knee. A fall. Physical discomfort is a natural part of the living. But to be afflicted by another is quite the wound. You can’t heal something you can’t touch. Atlas is a different kind of hurt. Like picking a rose from a bush… Easy to admire as long as you don’t touch the thorns underneath.
