Lego: we're gonna have tonally appropriate, stylistically cohesive creature designs in this children's show, right?

Ninjago:

I have a strong love hate relationship with this show's absolute lack of design consistency. On one hand it's hilarious to see literal Legos face off some eldritch horrors with horrifyingly realistic textures, but it's also really jarring. And when they decide to go cartoony, the designs are usually just....bad. Some of the realistic designs are real bangers tho

I respect Dragons Rising a lot because it's the most cohesive Ninjago has ever been, the only thing standing out was that giant crab monster. Somehow they made it look like everything belongs in the same world and that's so cool :D

Because I feel like that got just glossed over far too quickly

Like they are hive (mind?) that look like trees

Will attack unprovoked

And not like eat you or anything as far as we can tell

No they'll just kick you around like a soccer ball

And who knows if they stop once you're dead?

Like they may just play kick the corpse around until they're bored of you

That's fucking horrifying and we just don't even talk about it or see them ever again

I have a little headcanon that his right arm and most of his body glows when he uses his powers post Season 11 I find it very silly
