Hey Tumblr staff — we need a “Temporary Deactivation” option.

Not everyone wants to delete their blogs forever. Sometimes we just need a break — to pause, breathe, and come back when we’re ready. Right now, Tumblr only lets us delete everything permanently, which is extreme and honestly discouraging.

If you’ve ever wanted to step away for a bit without losing your content, blog name, or entire digital history, you’re not alone.

Let’s ask for it. Together.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Go to tumblr.com/support

2. Choose “Something else”

3. Politely ask them to consider adding a temporary deactivation feature (“Hi Tumblr team, Please consider adding a temporary deactivation feature. Sometimes we just need a break without losing our blogs or content forever”).

🩺 Surgery Update from Sunbeam007 | General Sunbeam 🎨

Yesterday, I underwent surgery for the removal of a pilonidal sinus cyst, and I’m relieved to report that the operation went smoothly. Honestly, it felt like one of those “2-second time-skip cutscenes” from an RPG game—blink, and it was done. Minimal sensation. Minimal awareness. But definitely not minimal impact.

💡 Reality Check: As expected, the cost is expensive—a reminder that healthcare in our current society remains a heavy burden for many of us who aren’t sitting on 6-figure salaries or sponsored benefits. Recovery is underway, and I’m surrounded by my family, which I’m grateful for.

Despite the surreal nature of the procedure, I haven’t had much time to return to what truly brings me joy—writing immersive stories and working toward my long-term dream of becoming an animator. These passions remain on hold, temporarily, while I prioritize healing and managing the financial aftermath.

I thank anyone who reads this and understands. Life often throws unexpected quests our way—and this one was personal, physical, and expensive. But I’m still here, still planning, still dreaming.

Wow hello...it’s been almost 6 years!

I’m revamping my tumblr just for fun and I realized that I haven’t been on here since I was a sophomore in college...so it’s been a minute. 

Update: 3 jobs, 1 heartbreak, multiple embarrassing moments, and a lot of growth later... I am freelancing, opened up an Jewelry Etsy Shop, started a blog, and am in the process of applying to MFA programs across the country and the world :)

Finally! An Update!

I want to start off by formally apologizing (to the best of my abilities) for not posting anything on this Tumblr in a really long time. In fact, if my memory serves me correctly (or fails me miserably) I don’t think I’ve posted anything since before my name change, which I did back in January, but failed to make a formal post/comment on. So, yeah. Mea culpa.  As a brief update and, hopefully, a fair explanation for lost time, I would like to start off by talking about the name change from JWTifa to EverybodySims. In the grand scheme of things, I’m sure my username or what I choose to go by doesn’t really matter, but I did feel like my previous username didn’t really showcase or draw attention to the kind of content I post onto Tumblr, on YouTube, on my Twitter, etc. And if you follow me on Twitter, then you probably already read all of this back in January when I changed my username. If not, the main point is that I went ahead and changed my username to EverybodySims because I felt like it was more descriptive and encompassing of the kind of content I post on all these different social platforms. I had been thinking about changing my username for a while and the start of 2020 seemed like a good time to do it.  And with the start of that topic, I should talk about why I haven’t posted in some time (okay; so, like a lot of time actually). We all know that 2020 has been a wild ride and we’ve all had to deal with change and the total disruption of our daily habits to some extent. I was not free from these changes or disruptions of daily routine either my friends and, unfortunately, I had a hard time adjusting. I didn’t mean to take a long and extended break, but the need to get back into daily posting and blogging as a healthy outlet for my stress and anxiety became overshadowed by, well, all the stress and anxiety. Basically, I kept blowing it off even when I had time and knew I needed to post SOMETHING. Like literally anything. Anyway, to wrap up. I’m here now. I started a new The Sims 4 challenge and I actually can’t wait to share it with you guys and post pictures of our little adventures together. So, look forward to a post about the new challenge I’ve started real soon.  All the best!!! -- Jess
