Most monsters when they get in a human disguise dress as their preferred gender. I appreciate when the tmnt just go full drag like a normal Tuesday.

Sure there's the classic trench coat or regular hoodie. But sometimes you just feel too fabulous for that ✨🐢✨

thinking about the continued gag in Rise where people wear really bad disguises that are somehow still convincing (i.e. the turtles disguising themselves as turtle aliens or Splinter as a turtle) and how that would translate to 2003. Maybe it still works because of the cartoon logic they run on, but only if they're disguised as things that 2003 characters would recognize

I actually wasn't sure if I was gonna sketch for this- it's a super fun story, I really enjoyed it, I just wasn't in the mood- but then.

And well. I had to draw Sister Krang flipping off Bishop. And then I just kept going!

Anyways! Shelldon is a Tom Cardy fan, Leo is playing Untitled Goose Game, irl edition, Sister Krang learned what flipping the bird means just for this, and I! Forgot Baxter Stockboy exists! in! the! show! and based the pov character's design off Stockman. Oops!

Do you mind if I ask how the cloaking broaches work for your rottmnt dragon AU? Where'd they find them? How they work? I love your art and the story is amazing

Okay so! There are two kinds of cloaking brooches in COI: the normal ones that make you look human, and the ones that the boys have. Ultimately, since Yokai range in all shapes and sizes, I thought it would likely be important for some of the larger ones to be able to shrink their bodies down in order to access certain places they otherwise wouldn’t fit in very well, like restaurants, shops, or markets.

Most of the more important places allow for larger guests to borrow a cloaker like these in order to accommodate larger customers/guests, and Big Mama’s hotel is one of such locations. So, when they’re running around collecting oozquitoes, she “graciously” allows them to pick from her more special collection as a show of “trust.”

Mikey picked some colorful bracelets, Leon got his bird brooch, Donnie grabbed a choker like piece, and Raph got a necklace (that I forgot to add to the Casey comic absolutely crushes me). All of them have a gem embedded on it somewhere, which is what gives the piece the cloaking effect.

They can’t really return them after that whole battle, so they just end up keeping them in the end XD
