MAGA is big mad that Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats have opened up a whistleblower portal for federal employees to report illegal conduct within the Trump administration.

What a shame it was when the ā€œconservativeā€ (not sure exactly what they conserve honestly) sect of American society chose a, we’ll call it, unconventional candidate in 2016, the progressive sect also had an unconventional candidate (unconventional in a not insane or malignant narcissist kinda way like the rights candidate though) as well.
The difference is, the right let their self absorbed, racist, batsh*t crazy, compulsive liar win the nomination. The left, they felt a Jewish man with socialist tendencies was too extreme and went with a candidate who could be the very definition of the establishment.
How did that turn out?…….
Bernie Sanders has been fighting for the working class for decades! A no nonsense, straight shooter with fabulous sarcasm. Just dry, subtle and absolutely amazing cynicism.
In this speech he points out some good figures. Hey maga! Listen up because y’all keep defending this sh*t instead of your fellow working class Americans or the Constitution overall.
Elon musk possesses more wealth than the bottom 52% of the American earners. More than likely that’s the vast majority of maga, I know I’m included in that bottom 52%, as are many who have the misfortune of reading this.
The top 1% of American ā€œearnersā€ possess more than the bottom 93% of the Americans workers. I can say with certainty that is anyone reading this. That’s fkn CRAZY!!
While 60% of us are living paycheck to paycheck, just a handful of people own all but 7% of the available capital.
You gotta look at it like this. There’s only a certain amount of money to be made in the U.S. If there was an infinite amount, the dollar would be worthless. Let’s break it down into hundreds. There’s a hundred bucks to split between one hundred people. One guy gets $93 and the other 99 of us split $7.
I think the top 10% can pay a higher percentage than the 40% tax rate 93% of us do.
Call me crazy. Call me dumb. But they can afford to pitch in more to our country. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øļæ½ļæ½ļæ½

Congratulations, America. It looks like Republicans will definitely win the Senate, which will allow a Republican President to push through judicial appointments much more easily, and the next President will probably appoint at least two Supreme Court justices. That's going to directly impact your life for the rest of your lives. Remember how I always say ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES? These were always the consequences.

2026 Senate elections
Very early impressions for the 2026 Senate elections are that Ossoff (D) in Georgia, Collins (R) in Maine, and Tillis (R) in North Carolina will be the closest contested seats. If Senate Democrats are able to sweep all three, this won’t immediately win them the Senate back (it would go 49-51 best case scenario, assuming no other flips).
Here are states that we have to retain.
Peters (D) in Michigan is retiring which leaves a vacant Democratic seat in a state that Trump won. Peters (D) in Michigan, as well as Smith (D) in Minnesota, had very underwhelming performances the last time their seats were up. Peters (D) kind of leaves office partly disgraced, given he oversaw the unfortunate circumstances on the Senate map in 2024 (particularly regional upsets in Ohio, with Sherrod Brown, and especially Pennsylvania).
I’m unsure who runs to replace Peters, though I feel pretty optimistic about the field that’s forming to replace Smith, especially current Lieutenant Governor Flanagan.
Hassan (D) in New Hampshire is the third confirmed Democratic retirement. This was a state which Harris still managed to carry but was unexpectedly close (given the national conditions). She’s likely made the political calculation that her reelection would be kind of an uphill battle.

Al Green is a real one!!! Too bad the Dems didn't have spines to join him. They just held up sad little signs while Al Green showed real courage šŸ™„
Btw, I seem to remember a bleach blonde bad built butch body (Marjorie Taylor Green) doing the same thing to Biden and NOT getting kicked out... The hypocrisy is unreal.

Thank You Senator Booker
Tomorrow is World Autism Awareness Day, and that is what this post was supposed to be about. But something absolutely incredible happened yesterday/today and we have to talk about it. At 7 p.m. on March 31, 2025, Senator Cory Booker (Democrat of New Jersey) stood on the Senate floor and started to speak. He spoke about the Republican administration’s decimation of the federal government and…

Okay, this is exactly what I was afraid of the first time Trump was in office. His ultimatum to Iran last night and his mysterious "much bigger" agenda that is "better than a ceasefire" makes it crystal clear that he has already committed the US to war.
Because going to war was always the trump card he was willing to play if public opinion started to really go against him. He will absolutely do this for the sole purpose of being a wartime president—a time-honored way for any wannabe dictator to swing more public opinion and grant himself more emergency powers and really crack down on dissent. And Trump is a man who runs headfirst into gambles like this. And I hate it say this, but it's a smart play.
To be clear, Netanyahu has stated that the bombings have already set Iran's nuclear program back by years. A declaration of war is not necessary at this time.
So yeah, this scares me more than anything else he's done so far.
God have mercy on us, and on the people of Iran.

It shouldn't get lost that just today, Senate Republicans have voted to close nursing homes, close rural hospitals, and cut food stamp benefits for children and veterans. - Pete Buttigieg

I know this may come as a shock to all of us but. Donald Trump lied on the campaign trail! 😳
Turns out, just like everyone said, that his tax plan would exponentially benefit the top 10% and leave the rest of us footing the bill.
He said no tax on tips: lie
He said no tax on overtime pay: lie
He said no tax on Social Security benefits: lie
And the Republicans are ready to jam this thing through. Why?
Because they don’t give a sh*t about the working class. They don’t give a sh*t about the middle class. They don’t give a sh*t about the elderly. And they sure as sh*t don’t care about the working poor.
We can only hope one day those who vote Republican will abandon their disdain for the liberal values of honest pay for honest work. The virtues of fair tax policies, even amongst the upper class. The integrity to show respect to all humans despite their race, sex, religion (or lack thereof), sexual preference, immigration status or gender identity.
Until then. The overwhelming majority of Americans will be stuck in this endless cycle of debt, overworked, underpaid, exploited and forgotten.
If we joined together there is no change, no success, no aspiration we couldn’t achieve.
The U in USA is for United. Let’s do that…

Do you think there should be age limits on politicians?
I think that age limits would be ideal and reasonable -- I mean, as we recently saw, even the Catholic Church has an age limit (80 years old) for the Cardinal electors eligible for selecting a new Pope during a Conclave. I just don't know what the target age should be because people age differently than one another. I also don't know what the mechanism would be for instituting an age limit on politicians. Would it apply to office-holders in all branches of the federal government? How would that work with someone who has a lifetime appointment, like members of the Supreme Court? It seems like there would first need to be term limits across the board, and then maybe some sort of age cap.
But it's clearly unhealthy to the governance of the country for all three branches of the federal government to effectively be a gerontocracy. We've seen the issues with President Biden and now President Trump holding the most powerful office in the world at advanced ages. But I don't think most Americans even realize that the person who is third in line to the Presidency -- the president pro tempore of the U.S. Senate, Chuck Grassley -- will be 92 years old in September. He's been in the Senate since 1981 -- practically my entire life and in Congress since the Ford Administration. And here's an even crazier fact: Grassley, who again is third in line to the Presidency, was first elected to the Iowa state legislature during the Eisenhower Administration (1959)! The president pro tempore is usually the longest-serving Senator in the majority party, which means the person who is third in line to the Presidency (after the Vice President and Speaker of the House) is usually one of the oldest members of Congress. Strom Thurmond was third in line to the Presidency when he was 98 years old (in 2001, just a few months before 9/11 when continuity of government was genuinely threatened). Robert Byrd was third in line when he died at the age of 92 in 2010. It's crazy to think one of the highest-ranking leaders in the federal government is routinely someone north of 90 years old. But that will likely never change because it would require politicians to vote against their own ambitions and self-interest, and that's not something that American political leaders do.

An open letter to the U.S. Senate
Vote NO on Project 2025 author Russell Vought for OMB!
9,081 so far! Help us get to 10,000 signers!
I’m a constituent writing to say that I’m outraged that Trump is working with Elon Musk to shut down the functions of our federal government. I’m also furious about the attempts to ā€œfreezeā€ federal spending. And I know that all of this goes straight back to Trump’s nominee for OMB Director, Russell Vought. If confirmed, moreover, I know that Vought will further enable Trump’s and Musk’s unconstitutional power grab.
Vought has made it clear in his confirmation hearings that his allegiance is to Trump and not to our Constitution. If he is put in charge of OMB, he will greenlight Trump and Musk’s coup which would cause devastating harm to millions of people in our communities.
Please stand up against Trump’s assault on our democracy. I expect the Senator to call for Vought’s nomination to be withdrawn and to vote NO if his confirmation moves forward. Remember that you work for us. Thanks.

GOALS FOR THE CONGRESSIONAL RECESS AND WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Make Republicans hold a town hall. Every Republican owes their constituents answers for why they’re willing to risk a government shutdown to enable Trump and Musk’s power grab, and why they support ripping away Medicaid and other essential programs. If they truly believe that their MAGA agenda will benefit our country, they should be eager to face the people they claim to fight for at a public town hall.
If they won’t hold a town hall, turn their silence into a story. Even if Republican MoCs go out of their way to avoid public confrontation during this recess, we’ll be organizing hard-hitting events in their district, with or without them.
Expose their government funding deal for what it truly is: a tax break on the backs of their own constituents. They’re planning to slash funding to Medicaid, SNAP, early education, housing assistance, and countless other programs that working families rely on in order to give the wealthiest massive handouts. It’s up to us to tell their constituents the truth about this outrageous betrayal so Republicans are forced to own the public backlash.
Call out their corrupt alliance with Musk. Republicans are enabling Musk to make decisions and push policies that directly hurt working families while enriching billionaires like himself. We cannot allow Republicans to abandon their responsibility to uphold our constitution and serve their constituents in order to curry favor with Musk.
Call on Democrats to hold a town hall. We need Democrats to demonstrate to their constituents that they’re doing everything they can to block, obstruct and disrupt Republicans’ plans to ram through the Trump Tax Scam.
Call out any missing-in-action Democrats who refuse to host a town hall. Democrats who aren’t boldly speaking out and engaging their communities this recess must be put on notice.
Ensure that Democrats publicly hold the line on government funding. Democrats must not support anything beyond a clean, two-week continuing resolution — keeping the government open without giving Trump and Musk a blank check — until Republicans agree to their terms:
Reject extreme funding cuts and MAGA poison pills attacking abortion rights, LGBTQ+ protections, and immigrant communities.
Include real, ironclad protections to stop Trump and Musk from hijacking federal spending.
