UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2025 Set for May 25: Key Guidelines and Instructions
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to conduct the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 on Sunday, May 25. The highly anticipated examination will take place in two shifts across designated centres nationwide.
The first session will run from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Reporting Guidelines
Candidates must arrive at their examination centres at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their respective sessions. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter under any circumstances.
Mandatory Documents to Carry
To avoid any issues on exam day, candidates must ensure they carry the following:
Admit Card: Entry will not be allowed without a valid UPSC admit card.
Valid Photo ID Proof: ID details must match those on the admit card.
Recent Passport-Size Photograph: Required only if the photo on the admit card is unclear.
Black Ballpoint Pen: As per UPSC instructions, candidates must use a black ballpoint pen to fill out their OMR answer sheets.
Items Strictly Prohibited Inside Exam Halls
UPSC has enforced strict rules regarding prohibited items, which include:
Bags and handbags
Expensive personal belongings
Mobile phones and electronic devices
Smartwatches and digital accessories
Printed material like books, notes, or guides
Candidates are strongly advised to travel light and avoid bringing any unnecessary items to the exam centre.
