Though i am very attatched to Ultrabees, Ultracows were my first Furry Legions idea for them and I would like to familiarize everyone with it

Ultramarines can sleep standing up (do not tip them over, that is very rude)

Ultramarines are herd animals with complex social rituals and have best friends

They are very routine oriented (Roboute's autism + cow genes) and that's why they hate any deviation from the Codex

All Ultramarine barracks must include a salt lick and a scratching post

Roboute does some really embarassing shit whever Yvraine comes over, Flehmen response, mooing, headbutting walls, etc. but goes back to normal when she leaves

(Making this it's own post because I don't want to hijack someone's mini post and take away attention away from how much effort they put into making that thing.)

(Shout out to @chaplain-joey that mini looks great.)

Theoretical: The bits sticking out from the Dark Angel's miniature helmet are bird wings. Mirroring winged helmets irl.

Practical: I always mistake those for Moth antennas (can't off the to of my head recall wether male or female, but you can tell from the antenna).

To continue, there've been those posts floating about of the Legions as different animals, among them the death guard, or ay least Mortarion, as a Moth.

I eventually recalled that post/drawing comparing owl heads and astartes helmets (insert here if i can find it), and the classic connotations for owls in fairytales and fables (it also fits with their whole King Arthur aesthetic so that's a bonus too).

In conclusion: For a Disney's robin hood era movie, I would cast the dark angels as some type of owl.

Have you also considered the zoomies?? The jumping around?? Playing silly buggers??

Cows are very curious critters too and if you camp with them, you can expect to wake up surrounded by them. Imagine waking up with half a dozen Ultramoos standing over you like come on.

This also makes total sense to me, cattle don't often deviate from their routines. Have you ever seen them when they're doing one? They all walk in line, it's pretty cool to see :3
