So wait. Gideon k.o himself to be Hunter? Or his organic body still intact? He's pulling a Springtrap??
.
#it was a very desperate decision honestly!#Guideon had not much of his parents left besides the overwhelming responsibility for the company and an inactive Exocannis prototype#In a way it was like the universe giving him a second chance to make things right for once (and to be useful perhaps)#He could've just let the poison do its job. but just like young Gideon would he sought comfort in his mother's creations#He knew how the Exocannis worked bcs he designed them himself as a kid and gave the drawing to his mother. 'his name's Hunter!' he told her#She made his childhood drawing into reality and now- it came back to save him from this painful fate.#the poison was not something he willingly drank by the way!#maybe Guideon had grown *way* too popular since the UNITY androids granted Bortom's victory against Fusionsprunt#some people are ready to take the credits once the original creator is long gone#and he was too careless to pay attention to that#inbox

As I wrap up the semester, I'm also wrapping up on my game dev class project, Mainframe!
Mainframe is a fighting game about giant mech pilots duking it out in sci-fi sports that defy the square-cube law, inspired by games like Pokken Tournament, BlazBlue, and Street Fighter. It's a game I've been wanting to make for years, and I'm glad to finally have a working prototype of the idea!
This project was created with some HEAVY lifting from Universal Fighting Engine in Unity. While I won't be distributing any playable versions of this for a long time (in part due to the Maya student license), I think this works as a solid proof of concept.

The Uglier you are, the better.
That's how you should address a prototype if it was one of your gang. (don't recommended if the prototype is "finding my love interest", reaction may vary)
The less deceiving and cute a prototype is the less chance has to betray it's purpose: to answer a question... "How it feels and how it works this idea?" I guess i can convince a child that that even the E.T.'s game is really good if i put there, with an HD graphic, some of the latest Pokèmons (or some friends of mine with the oldest), but it's not right? Ugly is better.

TF Stacker Prototype Version 0.1 Released!
Seeing how popular that concept image was motivated me to throw together this bare-bones prototype of TF Stacker. It's only got the bare minimum features at the moment, but it can handle up to 10 different transformations and (presumably) all of the combo images that come with that. There's an undo button to undo the most recent transformation as well. The biggest draw to this prototype is that it's fully customizable, and without any coding knowledge required! I've provided a step-by-step process for creating your own image database that, when loaded into the game at the startup screen, allows you to play TF Stacker with whatever character and transformations you want! I've got a few different features I want to add to this later down the line, but for now I'm happy with what I was able to make. The project is currently designed around Windows 64-bit systems; I'm thinking about maybe trying to get it to work on Mac and Linux but that depends on how differently they handle their file systems. You can find everything you need to play and modify this prototype on the GitHub repo linked below! https://github.com/EV401SALVATION/TF-Stacker

I actually have a playable prototype of the game here, but it's still a proof of concept. I might work on a second version of this because some aspects of the core mechanics didn't age that well in hindsight, but the warwick boss is still pretty good

I'm Sensing a Theme Here.
I'm back to writing a recap blog! There's some UI, accessibility, and systems work that I go over this week. Feel free to check it out!
When I first started doing regular blog posts here, I was treating them as simple recaps of my week. As time went on, though, I discovered two things: The more work you get done in a week, the harder it is to coherently summarize everything you’ve done in under 10 pages. Writing a laundry list of every C# function you wrote is very, very boring. To me. And it’s probably not that interesting to…

Last week I tried to do a quick code in unity where dependings of my inputs (A, B or C), objects assigned to them will grow or reduce depending of how many times I clicked them.
Ex: A = 8, B = 3 and C = 5, A would be bigger than B and C, so more visible. However I don't want the other to disappear. This was my first attempt to make a sort of map of these objects. My goal would be to have an organic transition of elements, where everything could be seen together but in proportion of how many times people woulld have clicked on them.
