TW:: racism, death
!! VERY IMPORTANT TWITTER LINK ABOUT SOMETHING I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT UNTIL JUSTICE WILL ARRIVE !!
Not my usual content but please, please listen. Here's the copy of the text that can be found on my Twitter :
Last year, a teacher from my future college was attacked and drugged in a bar. He was attacked by racist individuals, threatened with a hammer and eventually died. He was found in the St-Laurent, a large river across Quebec.
The authorities did so many mistakes and handled the case extremely badly. They were biased against Eduardo. It all started with him going out with few friends in the evening, drinking 2 alcohol intakes. His friend left and then he started acting quite oddly.
He began to act troubled and agressive, along with losing the capacity to speak french, being only able to express himself in Spanish, his mother tongue. Two men assaulted him in the bar and then threw him out, without his coat, which was followed by him getting threatened with a hammer. He then disapeared and was found dead 6 month laters. Lacunes are, first of all, someone had called the police in the evening, saying the man seemed confused, under substances. The police was also aware that two other individuals were drugged this day in the same bar. They began searching for Eduardo DAYS after he disappeared, already making assumptions about him maybe having bad "acquaintances" being a criminal, etc. They stopped searching for him few days after, saying he probably just left the city.
6 months later, he was found at the almost end of the St-Laurent, leaving behind him a wife and his son. So much flaws were made by the police I can't even list them all. The police handed this case poorly, Eduardo could've been saved if the case had been taken seriously or they could've avoided 6 months of sadness and stress for the wife and the child. The cop had no will to deal with the case whatsoever and ended it with a supposedly "suicide". Exept Eduardo was deeply scared of water and never had any suicidal behaviors.
!!! LINK FOR A PETITION TO GET A PUBLIC INVESTIGATION !!!
copy of the text that can be found on my twitter:
The link I put up is to sign something to get a public investigation on the case, to get true answers. The real answers. And consequences for the lacunes and racism of the police, along with the two guy who assaulted Eduardo. Pls sign it, my heart genuinely aches everytime j see this story on my screen and I do not know what to do. I don't know anyone irl and it's just. Depressing. I want to do something for it.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟖𝟐

In 1982, a tragedy struck the Chicago Metropolitan area. 7 people died due to tampering with Tylenol, finding Cyanide in the capsules.
Johnson & Johnson ended up with-drawling Tylenol from shelves, the FBI investigation continuing. News began slandering the medication coming up with sayings, for example, “Tylenol, Killer or Cure”
After multiple deaths from the laced medication, Johnson and Johnson lost about 100 million dollars in the recall and aftermath of the situation.
The case remains unsolved, after many years of investigation, interrogation, and curiosity, no one has been found completely guilty.

The Enfield Poltergeist
On a quiet street in Enfield, London, a seemingly ordinary house became the center of one of the most perplexing and debated paranormal events of the 20th century. Known as the Enfield Poltergeist, the bizarre occurrences between 1977 and 1979 at 284 Green Street involved claims of supernatural activity that left investigators and skeptics deeply divided.
The strange events began in August 1977 when Peggy Hodgson, a single mother of four, reported that her daughters Janet, 11, and Margaret, 13, had witnessed furniture moving on its own and heard unexplained knocking sounds on the walls. As the days passed, the activity escalated, with reports of disembodied voices, loud crashes, and even levitation. Over the next 18 months, more than 30 people, including neighbors, journalists, and paranormal investigators, claimed to have witnessed these phenomena.
The investigation into the Enfield Poltergeist was led by Maurice Grosse and Guy Lyon Playfair from the Society for Psychical Research (SPR). Grosse and Playfair spent extended periods at the house, documenting various occurrences. They reported strange whistling, barking noises, and objects being thrown across rooms. A particularly disturbing aspect was the emergence of a deep, gravelly voice, which seemed to emanate from young Janet. This voice identified itself as "Bill," a deceased former resident of the house. Despite their conviction that some of the activity was genuine, Grosse and Playfair were aware that the girls might be fabricating certain events. They caught Janet on video attempting to bend spoons and admitted that she had faked some of the incidents.
Skepticism was rampant, with critics arguing that the entire case was an elaborate hoax. Members of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP) and other investigators pointed out inconsistencies in the evidence. Stage magicians and ventriloquists suggested that the so-called "poltergeist voice" was nothing more than vocal trickery by Janet, and photos of her levitating were dismissed as her simply jumping off the bed. A remote-controlled camera set up by one investigator appeared to capture Janet faking the activity when she thought she was unobserved.
Despite the controversies, the Enfield Poltergeist case left a lasting impact on the field of paranormal investigation. It became a focal point for debates between believers in the supernatural and skeptics, highlighting the challenges of distinguishing between genuine phenomena and human deception. The case was widely covered in the media, inspiring books, documentaries, and the 2016 horror film *The Conjuring 2*. To this day, the Enfield Poltergeist remains a compelling and controversial chapter in the history of paranormal research.

The Rape of Jani Lane: Unsolved
In the entertainment industry, we always hear stories of women being taken advantage of by big names with the promise of success and stardom. But we rarely see male victims come forward.
When I heard this story a while back, I was shocked and disturbed at the fact that nobody ever talks about it, considering it seems that everyone in the 80s was rocking out to Cherry Pie by Warrant. I was lucky enough to have caught wind of it and I want to share it with the world.
Rape against men is a topic that has been swept under the rug for far too long, and it's time we bring it to light.
Bobbie Brown was married to Jani Lane of Warrant from 1991-1993. She co-wrote an autobiography in 2013 titled 'Dirty Rocker Boys' and wrote another autobiography titled 'Cherry on Top' in 2019.
In both books, she touched on the time Jani had told her about his experience being raped when he was just starting out in the music scene. According to Brown, Jani had been taken advantage of by a member of a famous band and his accomplice.
"He was nineteen when it happened. It was after a show. An older man, a major rockstar, had invited Jani to hang out with him and the big guys...
Later that night, along with an accomplice, that major rockstar put Jani through an ordeal he had been too ashamed to talk about until this moment. It was violent. It was ugly. It was exploitative." (Brown, Bobby, Dirty Rocker Boys)
This confession occurred just a few years before Lane passed away from alcohol poisoning. In her writing, Brown suggests that his alcohol problems had mostly stemmed from this traumatic assault.
She expanded on details in her second book, 'Cherry on Top', mentioning that the man was part of a famous heavy metal band, and the accomplice was the artist's manager.
The story of Jani being raped was proven true when a 2004 interview with Jani on the Hollywood's Monsters of Rock radio show on 92.1 The Wolf, where Lane said, "I've been divorced, married, raped- I don't care."
In Jani's biography tab for his personal website, he wrote that he had moved to Hollywood in Spring of 1985, which would make him 21 at the time of his rape, not 19 like Bobbie's book says. Perhaps this was a miscalculation on Brown or Lane's behalf.
People have always had their own suspicions on who could have been Jani's assailant, but the two bands I've seen mentioned the most are Kiss and Judas Priest. Both bands were in the area at the time, and both have had very sketchy managers during their run as bands.
In an interview with Earl Skakel, Bobbie mentioned her dislike of Judas Priest, saying she has a "specific disinterest". She also mentioned that she had a reason on why, and she said she would tell Earl later when the interview ended.
Unfortunately, that's really all the facts that I have for this case. I haven't seen any deep dives on this, but I would love to come back and look further into it when more information is found. I'm hoping that the readers who stumbled upon this post investigate further if they are interested.
Jani Lane deserves justice and I urge anyone who has information that could help lead us to solving this and get justice to reach out to me at my email with any tips or information you may have. I will not reveal any personal details unless permitted.
Thank you.

Unsolved Case - Game Review
Happy Saturday!
It's been a while since I did a game review but my friend and I played a co-op point and click puzzle game for the first time last weekend and I thought I'd talk about it. The game is called Unsolved Case, it's by Eleven Puzzles and it's free to play on steam.
The game was fairly simple and the puzzles easy. Not so easy that you were bored but simple enough to not be that much of a challenge. This was definitely a chill fun co-op than a hardcore mystery or master puzzler.
It took us about 63 minutes to complete the game in total (the devs said 30-60 so just over), which is inclusive of any cut scenes. The cutscenes were pretty interesting and were voice acted which was nice. I wouldn't say that we struggled much with any of the puzzles, though the forklift puzzle took us some time. Actually, i did struggle a bit with the TV guide puzzle as well, because (mild spoiler) I was treating it as connect the dots as opposed to bingo.
The mechanics were easy and I had a fun time playing with my friend. Both parties are required to have a copy of the game but it is free to play. You also need some way to communicate with your partner externallly as the game itself does not support audio communication. We used discord but you could use whatever calling method works best for you.
My biggest problem with the game was how it ended. The game was advertised as the prequel to the Cryptic Killer Series, however in my opinion it was a prologue to that storyline as opposed to a prequel. I'm not sure if it's a mistranslation as I know Eleven Puzzles is based in Poland or a miscommunication because I'm used to books instead of game. In my mind, a prequel is usually a book/series that is set prior to main storyline and usually used to give backstory. Where as a prologue is more the preface/introduction to a story or act. They're both similar but a prequel can be taken my itself whereas the prologue cannot exist without the rest of the work. Maybe I'm wrong in how there terms are defined and used, particularly in gaming space, but that is how I understood them going into this game. And by those standards, this game is a prolgue, not a prequel.
Unsolved Case cuts off on a cliffhanger which apparently continues in Unboxing the Cryptic Killer (which is Cryptic Kill Series Part 1). That was very much a let down and we were both startled when it ended as we felt it ended rather abruptly. (We both actually went "it ends here?" simultaneously😂😂). I get that it was supposed to entice you to play the original game but I would have preferred they call it a prologue or demo or teaser as opposed to a prequel so that i could have expected it would have had an open ending as opposed to being a game by itself. In fairness to them, Unboxing the Cryptic Killer is only like £5 and less than $10 in USD, CAD or AUD but still. If it's a free to play demo, call it that. Again though, this could simple be a miscommunication since I'm not a gamer or since English isn't their mothertongue. Still though, it unsettled me enough to take half a star off.
All in all it was a pretty fun hour of our day and it was a good low stress way to spend time together but I wouldn't play it again. Given that my final rating of this game is about 3.5 stars!
Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
(There isn't a half star emoji and that makes me to sad.)

this story has been my roman empire for years and I am SO HAPPY to see this update
AITA for banning my husband and father in law from the delivery room due to their intensely stressful/creepy behavior during my pregnancy?
There’s a famous Reddit post from 2020 where a pregnant woman wrote that her husband and father-in-law were a little too comfortable with their certainty that she was absolutely going to die in childbirth just like her husband’s late mother. It was to the point where her FIL was insisting that she go ahead and put all her clothes into storage, because she was obviously going to die in the hospital and it would save them the grief of packing up her things afterwards. Like. It was WILD.
When I tell my husband [that she feels suspicious of her FIL], he calls me paranoid, but I feel like my FIL WANTS me to die; his whole life identity for the past 35 years has been “amazing single dad” (never dated or had close friends or even hobbies really), and it seems like he’s looking forward to being able to guide my husband through what he went through. At this point, I’d honestly be happy to never see my FIL again, and I certainly don’t want him in the delivery room, especially since he told me he was “putting [his] foot down” about me not being “allowed” to have an epidural…. My husband, in addition to backing his dad on everything, acts like my due date is my death date, and has completely pulled away from me.
The commenters (and me, honestly) were convinced that the husband and FIL were either going to kill her outright to fulfill this expectation, or just make decisions about her care that might conveniently let her die.
And then she never posted again.
Over the last four years, people have frequently mentioned that post, always leading to a thread of people saying, “Oh god, I still worry about that woman.” I did too. It became one of those famous unresolved posts that people always wondered about.
Until yesterday, when someone on r/BestOfRedditorUpdates dug up a 2022 update she had posted on a different account:
TLDR; I had a beautiful and healthy baby girl, and I divorced my ex-husband. I lived, obviously.
She writes that she put her foot down about having her own mother in the delivery room rather than her FIL (!), and she WOULD be getting an epidural. Her husband lost his shit. And in his outburst, he let slip--
I admittedly lost my temper, and told him that I wasn’t going to die- it wasn’t my fault his father’s trauma wormed it’s way into his head, and that he needed to fix it without taking it out on me. He yelled at me that he didn’t need therapy. That caught me a little off guard; I asked him why he went to his therapist and was given advice about my death if he felt he didn’t need it. His expression gave it away, and he caved not long after. It turns out there was no therapist. It was just his dad. During the times he was supposed to be at therapy, he was with his dad. I’m still fuming.
And that was when she got the fuck out.
I’ll wrap this up- I’ve got an adorable little toddler tugging at my leg atm. I’m alive, I’m happy, and I’ve got my baby in my arms. Life is good.
I truly never thought we'd see a resolution to this, and I feel like there's probably a good number of people who remember it, so I thought you might want to know.
ETA: Brilliantly, I put the link in at the top; here it is again for convenience.

Case #002: The Hammersmith Ghost Murder (1804)
In the early 1800s, the people of Hammersmith, a small village on the outskirts of London at the time, were gripped by fear. Locals claimed to have seen a ghost roaming the streets at night, described as a tall, pale figure dressed in white, with eyes like burning coals. Some said it attacked people, while others claimed it just appeared silently before vanishing.
The sightings spread enough that armed patrols of local men began searching for it after dark.
On the night of January 3, 1804, a man named Francis Smith encountered a figure he believed to be the ghost. Without asking questions, Smith raised his shotgun and fired.
The figure wasn’t a ghost. It was Thomas Millwood a local bricklayer wearing his white work clothes.
Smith was arrested and tried for murder. The trial made headlines, raising a bizarre legal debate: could someone claim they acted reasonably if they genuinely believed they were shooting a ghost?
The court ruled no. Smith was found guilty of murder, though his sentence was later reduced.
As for the ghost? Sightings stopped after the incident. No explanation was ever confirmed about who, or what, people had been seeing.
