Hello again my followers! Sorry for disappear for so long, i was very busy with personal stuff, so i couldn't work on the comic and my schedule for update got reallyyyyy delayed. But now I'm free (kinda of it) so I can work more in this comic! I still delayed tho so i gonna still update once on Monday every two weeks like usual.

Also I will try to update more of art stuff (Tho in don't think is going to be Undertale related because right now I'm fixated on Cookie Run Kingdom, so probably I'm posting about cookies or my Ocs) but the comic will still on going no matter what! This is my priority after all.

Somehow, that managed to bring a faint smile to his lips, despite the deep furrows between his brow that were threatening to become a permanent fixture there. Rough hands twisted a fresh cloth in the ice water bucket beside the crash couch where she lay, pulling the old one away from her forehead and gently placing the fresh one in its place. "You can't see the stars, darlin', cause you're on the ship," he reminded her, another clean cloth dipped into the cold water to brush along her jaw and neck, trying to do what he could to cool her down. He had already given her the antibiotics and pain meds that he had on board, after she'd spend the last two days trying to hide her injury from him. Now, it was infected. If he had to set down somewhere and go in search of meds, it would mean having to leave her alone on the ship, and that was the last thing he wanted to do.

The twitch did not go unnoticed. Murtry had never been overly fond of the idea of the simulacrums that had been developed to serve as assistants on board the MCRN and UNN vessels - the idea of allowing anything that wasn't human that much access and even a whiff of their own sentience was idiotic and dangerous. He'd been anything but surprised when the majority of the models had been recalled. Most of the ones still in use had been repurposed for brothels and simple labor. He wasn't altogether surprised to learn that James Holden had one of the troublesome ones still active and on board his ship. It fit rather well with the man's rebellious and naively optimistic approach to all the things that went wrong in the galaxy, despite being, somehow, in the center of nearly all of them.

"Ah, so I should very easily be able to confirm that you are registered and licensed to operate as an independent artificial intelligence." The comment dripped with the sort of condescending placating tone that one might use with a toddler. "Because, of course, the representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations would not dream of willingly and knowingly blunder about on such important missions with an illegal and volatile a.i. on board."

Rules:

You must be part of the Malec Discord Server to participate in this event. 

You must be over 16 to participate and over 18 to create explicit works.

All content must be brand new and never before posted to any forum. All content must be polished and finished. No unfinished works or WIPs that you plan on continuing later will be accepted. Works that are added chapters/continuations of previously published works are not permitted unless they can be viewed/read as a standalone. 

Plagiarism and AI content will not be tolerated. All content must be the creator’s own original work. 

Writers are asked not to talk about their projects until after claims with anyone participating in this event to keep beta/artist claims fair. 

All content must focus on Shadowhunters universe characters (show and/or book verse.)

All Shadowhunters characters/ships are accepted. OCs/borrowed characters will be accepted as minor characters. 

AUs and crossovers are accepted as long as the Shadowhunters characters are the main focus.

Content of any rating and subject matter is accepted, but participants must make sure to include any relevant warnings throughout the entire event (I.e. warnings for betas/artists during matching) and properly tag their work. 

No blatantly hateful content of any kind. 

All participants are required to check-in with moderators at least twice throughout the event. All check-ins are integral to continuing to participate in the event. 

All participants must communicate readily with their assigned partners and vice versa. This is a collaborative effort. All participants must be open to the ideas of their partners. 

When you sign up for this event you are making a commitment to yourself, the mods, and your future partners to meet all posted deadlines and to communicate with the mods and your partners regularly. Please don’t sign up for the event unless you are confident that you can fully participate and be honest with yourself about what you can commit to.

Writers must write a minimum of 5,000 words to participate in this event. There is no maximum limit but please keep in mind the time constraints.

Submitted summaries (provided at check-ins) should provide a solid framework of what your fic is about and the final fic should not deviate too much from those summaries. In the event that it does, please contact a moderator and your partners. This is to ensure all partners are comfortable with their role throughout the event. 

Writers are expected to be respectful of their partners’ ideas. Writers will make all final decisions on their fics, but this event is a collaborative effort.

Question: So we all know that hit threw continuity out the window with the show and all of us have at one point or another tried to make it work with a headcannon (Don't lie to yourself). Now my question is, is there any crazy stupid retcon, detail, or any of the such from any point in the series you've worked into the floof au?

Well, at the moment, as i'm still not working so much on the situations before, between and after the infection, i could say just some comments or dialogues that the engines do could remind about the original series (Both model and CGI eras it doesn't matter)

Or i could also use some little references. Like in a scene i usually imagine animated in my mind, where Hannah says that she would love to be an express coach. And then in the background and for just a few seconds, Gordon appears pulling the express and Thomas with it too. (Ref to "Thomas Gets Tricked")

Or the already usual headcannon of Henry being the most cat-like engine towards water.

Still, yk i'm still not a professional at adding details and good references. I must rewatch the whole series (At least what i can find because in Spain is very hard to watch the series without paying).

Y'know. I started this AU when i discovered the monster engines verse, shortly after i joined the fandom at the beggining of this year.

I couldn't find the complete model era at that time, so i started at the Brenner era, mostly with episodes like "Signals Crossed", "Emily in the Middle", " Hasty Hannah", or "The railcar and the coaches". Which aren't of course the best ones, but were the only ones i could remember from my last TTTE era (2017-2021).

So. Now that i finally found the Model, Miller and Brenner eras in spanish at Tiktok i'm able to rewatch them.

So. Apologies for not being so EXP on the real lore and stuff. I will some day, but for now i will just stay in the brenner era and with some details and refs to the miller and model era.

What Happens After You Take Over A City?

Summary: Taking over a city is one thing. Dealing with the aftermath of taking over the city? Now that’s a whole different can of worms. Brad Tudabone, commander of the Shark Army, really has to wonder if it was really worth it.

A/N: From The Writers Of Destiny comes round 7 of Who Wrote That, this prompt being “Write a character who has less than 10 minutes of screen time.” Thankfully Brad and Gene both have less than 10 minutes (I timed it) so I did them. Anyway, have some funky movie verse au. :)

Brad resisted the urge to rub at his forehead as he walked into his assigned room. While he was happy that the shark army had finally conquered Ninjago after over a decade of fighting, it did not make the logistical nightmare of it all any less. Now Brad had to figure out what to do now that they were not constantly going to have to fight to just have Ninjago and instead had to figure out how to keep control.

Plopping down on his bed, Brad barely had the mind to kick off his combat boots before he lied down. Perks of being a commander: you got some of the best accommodations in the shark army. That included an actual bed and not just a cot, or master forbid a sleeping bag. Brad really liked his thick pillow for moments like now, when he wanted to scream into it.

“Are you just going to sleep after getting one of the greatest achievements ever? You earned so much exp, it’s wild,” a nasally voice questioned from behind him. Brad grumbles and raised his hand enough to show a very certain finger. The voice chuckled, and then Brad felt the bed shift as a figure sat down next to him on it.

A hand started to massage Brad’s sore back, and Brad let out a content sigh. “Genie, have I ever told you I love you?”

Gene laughed softly in response to the question. “You say that you love me like it’s an achievement to say it over a million times. I bet I can make a machine to tell how many times you said, and you get exp points whenever you say it.” Their hand moved to rub at Brad’s shoulder and Brad felt the knot go away.

Taking a deep breath, Brad took in the smell of motor oil and soot on Gene. Being the head scientist assistant tends to make someone get very familiar with explosions, and Brad is used to Gene smelling like they stepped out a car accident.

As Brad laid there, Gene gave him an update on what was going on with their friends outside. Sally was put in charge of the speaker system at the huge party that was apparently going on, and she was now general 20, and was worried she would have to dye her hair back to red from pink. Olivia was now General Number 1, and she was taking full advantage of this to dress in a mermaid like she was destined to be. Finn had, thankfully, been fired.

For Brad, he was going to have a lot more new recruits to whip into shape. There was apparently an influx of applications being sent in after Garmadon conquered the city. Gene was going to have to stop their ‘boring side quest of making mechs’ and instead ‘continue on the main path to make inter dimensional travel possible.’ Brad had to laugh at their video game metaphors. He was glad their ‘evil genius’ was being put to good use.

Eventually, Brad sat up and stretched his loosened muscles and smiled at Gene. They had their signature mop cut hair style and round glasses, and they were still wearing a lab coat and t-shirt.

Gene shoved Brad slightly. “Come on, go take a shower. I’ll wait.”

Rolling his eyes, Brad grabbed his shower bag and was about to go when his phone went off. Checking it, Brad groaned.

Seemed like his shower would have to wait until after this meeting. Hopefully it wouldn’t result in a giant cat invading the city….

A few days later, Brad really regretted jinxing it.

Thiiiisss is more or less relegated to just Axe (and Baggs, later, I suppose) and Dust, sort of.

Yes, he has. Axe introduced him to his brother (Crooks) once when Nightmare came to retrieve him and he was summarily greeted as "Sans' Strange Drippy Friend!" Crooks absolutely tried to wipe the goop off but got nothing. Nightmare was thoroughly amused and a little charmed by being doted on. (No one ever does and Crooks took it in stride.)

He knows about Dust's brother hovering around, since he's... sort of actually there (sustained by his own dust and Dust's ambient DT, he'd work like Flowey does if there was more of it and his own vessel, but since he doesn't have a body, he floats around as a ghost that Nightmare can occasionally hear, but not clearly.) Nightmare largely ignores his presence but will look directly at him if he's saying something Nightmare can hear and doesn't especially like the sound of.

He's yet to meet General (Baggs' brother) and he's hesitant to. Baggs is kind of a special case for him in that he's not violent and doesn't have LV or EXP. While Nightmare does think of him as one of his boys (in R&R, largely) he is also keeping Baggs at a certain arms-length-distance from everything they do in order to keep him safe/ maintain his lack of LV and EXP. This also means sneaking in and out of his AU for pickup and drop off-- he doesn't want to be seen and he is a little uncomfortable in labs that aren't the one in his castle. Too many bad run-ins in fell, horror, and swapfell verses with literal mad scientists. (Part of the reason he waited until Baggs was too loopy from lack of rest to fight him, actually, he didn't want to have anything like lab defenses sprung on him or questionable things in blow darts shot at him, either. Both have happened, and he braces for the worst.) Meeting that world's Papyrus, with or without his brother present, is also something that Nightmare would rather not deal with, thank you. He's watched from a distance and figures he'll either get the third degree or just... get watched. He wants none of that, no thank you.
