It's a lavish hotel for the few days of rest in between travel on the road. The team put their coins together for it at the twin's recommendation.

"It's got everything!" Vex had told them all. "There's hot baths, food-" When Scanlan raises his hand to ask her something, she cuts him off quickly. "Yes, that too."

Percy’s brow furrows. "You've been here before?" Nothing he knows - and he knows quite little - about the twins suggests a life of expensive hotels, unless… "Um, with your father?" He isn’t one for probing questions - for the most part, he usually doesn’t care. His own father had taught him that it isn’t his business, until it is. Though, he had to admit, with the twins his interest was more often  It seems safe enough, too. He figures if they went traveling with him, surely a place like this would’ve been enough to entertain a noble and his two children.

"No," Vax says shortly.

He's taken a tone already, Vex notices. She isn't sure if it's because of the mention of their father or his usual antisocial impatience. Maybe both. Likely both.

She doesn't think Percy's picked up on it. She's curious to see if he'll push. They've never had companions before and certainly never a large and mysterious ex-noble man. He's exactly the type they usually avoid.

He's been holding his tongue, Vex knows innately about her brother, regarding Percival. The extra hand in a job or two couldn’t be turned down, especially when it came with a weapon that literally put holes in their targets. But the longer it seemed Percy was sticking with them, his mysterious pepper box strapped to his hip even in his sleep, and the more the young man seemed to ask questions without answering any of his own, well…that was always a recipe for disaster, when it came to Vax.

Percy doesn't dig for more. Smart man. But for the rest of the night, after they regroup for dinner and drinks, she watches him watch everyone else. He's curious, extremely so. She can tell he's taking in every detail, green eyes cast downward if he thinks anyone almost catches him staring.
