ok last #faustpost for today (probably) but. also re: the potential emotional bleed. I DO think John ALSO wanted to Kill Him Badly, bc that’s Very in character (see: Eddie), and they sort of. unintentionally worked each other up over it in a kind of rage-mania-bloodlust feedback loop until they snapped during the killing itself. and I don’t think either of them were fully aware this was a factor or that the other was on the same page, at least not until Arthur actually Tells John he wanted it in 26. and that’s why John is so quick to accept and move on from it. it’s not just the urgency of trying to unfuck Arthur’s mental state in general, he’s been dealing with the exact same guilt and feeling of monstrosity. and he can’t bring himself to say that point-blank, but he can at least reassure Arthur that he (and John, by proxy) isn’t irredeemable bc of it.

how do i explain to people that the one-off character who existed on a metafictional level as a personal writing project built on my struggles as a creator is now one of three different characters who are all molded by the mediums of the story they appear in and who all have a different outlook on said medium based on the different perspectives you can have on creating art and stories and also their designs and stories are insanely different between them all but they've also got opinions on each other and all form a group of "abstract" characters and also one of them is literally sound

Your posts are some of the highlights of my tumblr experience – I've always been focused on Luffy/Zoro but before OP:LA released it seemed kinda? Rare, almost? At least in comparison to other things. But now so many people like it too! And are writing wonderful little essays like yours! I feel understood. Personally they've always been a qpr to me (I hold Luffy's basically-canon aroace status VERY close to my heart) in the most soulmate, ride or die, married without even kissing once, forever and always with their own special kind of love no matter what anybody else thinks, kind of way. I love reading your thoughts because even if may not be in the exact same flavour as me (which I respect) I feel like you get them already. Keep having fun! The world of OP has so much in store for you!
