Visual Exploration
A single image can take you to a lot of places.
I saw the following illustration on the FT.com website, and it struck me:
Tumblr media
I used ChatGPT and Google Image Search to track down the artist: Ann Kiernan.
Looking at her website I see not only a load of her awesome work, but also what the work has been used to illustrate. A number of interesting projects and articles.
This is not the first time a striking piece of art has led me to a path of exploration and discovery. And it makes me think of just how powerful a piece of art can be.

Discover the Magic of Venice: Digital Images That Tell Stories of Elegance and Romance
Venice, with its serene canals, historic bridges, and lights reflecting on the tranquil waters, is a city that has always inspired artists throughout history. While the city itself is a living work of art, its beauty has found a new expression through digital art, which captures the timeless and romantic essence of La Serenissima in a completely new way.
The images you see here are not just simple representations of the city, but true digital artworks that merge the historical charm of Venice with the modernity of digital art, allowing for the addition of painterly details and shades that make each image unique.
In "Venice: The Magic of a Dream" and "A Night Under the Stars of Venice", the central element is the figure of the woman, who not only serves as a subject but also represents the connection between Venice's romantic past and the contemporary vision of art that knows no boundaries. In these images, every detail – from the elegant and sophisticated gown to the bridge spanning the canal and the soft evening light – has been designed to evoke a sense of timeless beauty.
The Charm of Digital Art
Digital art, while using technological tools, still retains its ability to evoke emotions and tell stories. Every digital brushstroke, every shade of color, is the result of careful design and a passion for detail that is characteristic of all great works of art.
The images we present are not merely views of a famous city but true artistic interpretations of its magic. The use of light and shadow, the selection of vivid colors, and the refined composition ensure that each image tells a story, one that can transport us to another time and place, where Venice is always stunning, always captivating, and always mysterious.
Digital Art as an Expression of the Soul
In the contemporary art world, digital art has emerged as an authentic form of expression. Artists from around the globe use technology to bring their creative visions to life, creating works that challenge tradition and open up new horizons. And just like a painting on canvas or a marble sculpture, digital images are the result of an artistic vision that aims to touch the deepest chords of the soul.
"Venice: The Magic of a Dream" and "A Night Under the Stars of Venice" are not just images; they are digital artworks that invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a world of elegance, romance, and mystery. Each piece is a window into the beauty of Venice, created with digital techniques that highlight every intricate detail.
If you too are captivated by the magic of Venice and its ability to inspire creative minds, I invite you to explore these works and let yourself be transported by their beauty. Each image is available on Fine Art America, ready to be part of your digital art collection.

OKAY SO- was looking through all your sonic au's (peak art and plots btw, absolutely love it!) And I saw the metal au. Does metal ever regret killing tails and how exactly did he even manage to kill tails? (Both capturing and methodhof death). I am morbidly curious- answer with visual aid if possible please. No rush. Love your art, the plots, your personality, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Tumblr media
Oh, yes! He absolutely regrets it! That's what the AU aims to explore!
I don't think I'll elaborate much on what exactly happened during the Tails vs Metal fight, but the basics are that Metal jumped him in his workshop, and that the only reason things got so messy was that Tails put up a HELL of a fight. It's so, so important to me that Tails is treated as the competent fighter that he is, even if he does lose this specific confrontation.

"SubTerra" by Nestor
Step into the depths of the unknown with "SubTerra," a haunting black-and-white ink drawing that delves into an eerie underground realm. Surreal caves, nests cradling fragile eggs, and twisting organic veins weave together in this intricate composition. Amidst the landscape, mysterious mushrooms and flowers bloom while an abstract creature emerges from the shadows, urging viewers to explore hidden worlds and nature's dark secrets. This gothic-inspired piece evokes contemplation, blending fantasy and reality into a dreamlike vision.

I'm curious how many piercings does Moon (slasher au) have?
Tumblr media
@mother-of-horror i was thinking of some of your recent work and talk of religious imagery while painting tonight :3c
Just the one lobe pair on Sun! He likes wearing his big gold hoops or gemstone studs.
(Also Sun in a half-bun to satisfy the people in my inbox asking to see him with a different hairstyle)
Tumblr media
Moon has two lobe and two helix piercings on his right, and two lobe and ONE helix on his left. Soon after he got it pierced, the second helix on that side got infected and he had to take it out to let it heal. He prefers the look of small hoops and metal studs.
Tumblr media
I got carried away with these paintings but i wanted to experiment with some abstracted shapes and textures.

text transcription:
Many springs ago, I perceived a sea of flowers upon a lake. I thought to myself that those fleeting colors held indescribable beauty.
The next time I perceived those colors was many years later, when the medic’s tent had blinded me to all but red. The radiance of that shining star was lost on my eyes.
Now, my eyes no longer perceive the subtleties in the colors around me.
But I am content.
For I can now see the most brilliant colors in my universe.
anyways yeah why did they fucking do that to jiaoqiu bro
