I stand in the glass,

where shadows stretch long and light fractures clean.

My hands, calloused from gripping dreams too tight,

trace the cracks,

wondering if strength is the grip

or the grace to let go.

In the marrow of my bones,

there's fire that won't yield,

a rhythm carved from midnight hours

and echoes of the streets that raised me.

Yet, beneath the bravado,

there’s a tremor in the pulse,

the quiet fear of slipping

before the city hears my name.

I wear resilience like armor,

but inside,

I’m a poet bleeding ink,

wrestling ghosts

and chasing futures

that flicker like neon signs in the rain.

To know myself,

I peel back the layers—

Strength, the roar in my chest when I rise again.

Weakness, the doubt that lingers

when the world turns its back.

But maybe both are fuel,

fire and ash,

the beauty and the bruise,

shaping something raw,

something real,

something that won’t break

even when the glass shatters.
