The Family Social Structure Stands

Communism will not stand. South Africa will stand. Socialism cannot. Why, you ask? I will declaim: the invention of the phone was closely followed by the Radio. What was the radio used for, you ask? The answer is far- from that point. Even from that point, in human society, far into the future. Its 1991. A society 729 larger, goes to war against the Bosnian Christians. Its 1993, the radio is used to call up armies of desolute Rwandans to flee before Greek seperatists. Certainly, and the radio in Rwandan Tutsi dialect, calls over the hills and plains. Does it matter what the wire says? Over rivers of pure blue, trees that hid our ancestors from the hyena and the wildbeast stampede. Over the stones that took form in our ancestors hands, body and bodies that ran from the beads of ice, slowly releasing the gel of ice grown from rock into rock water cacades. Over the fears and independence, the trees and consensus. Radio. It started it all in 1929, the worlds first radio broadcast.

That absolutely is a lie pushed on society by big pharma and the industrial complex (don't fact check me on this) I mean everyone is different snd everyone has their own fun little insanity inducing ~quirks~ to their cycle, but most people I've known who have periods usually have the week or so leading up to the period where you are either extremely hungry or hate the sight of food, ya bloat, boobs are sore, ya get so fucking horny that a bitch gets close to licking their own phone if someone hot enough scrolls through. And none of that covers potential skin issues, sleeping issues, depression issue, etc.

Then the actual period begins 😒 which is a whole other clusterfuckery bag of systems to deal with. And they say 2-7 days. If you just felt like you heard an echo in the distance, that was the feral wildbeast screech of every person who is on day 9 of their period. Who thought they were done and went back to regular clothes only to fUCKING START SPOTTING AGAIN 😤

And none of that even begins to account for anomalies like endometriosis or polycystic ovarian syndrome which can lead to even longer periods, more frequent periods, intensely painful periods (think stabbing pain. Burning pain. Feeling like your lower intestines are being wrung out like a wash towel.)

And we do this every month. While working. And cleaning. And cooking. And being general useful members of society.

My point in all this being, everything you've ever learned as a "generalized rule" about periods is a gotdamn lie and just, just listen to people who have periods when they say it's hell and we deserve to nap, complain, and eat our little treats in peace

8: what's an old project idea that you've lost interest in:

hmm projects just always exist in my mind. it never really feels like I've abandoned them. i guess I've given up the idea of making amvs with video clips but that's only because I'd rather draw/animate them now

11: do you listen to anything while drawing? if so, what?

ok so I'm unhinged with music. speaking of amvs i think a lot about how music applies to characters and I have massive playlists dedicated to characters that ill listen to as I'm drawing them. but I'll also listen to Indian Ragas and flute meditation music. it all depends on the vibe. I've been writing about Astarion so I've made a tiny playlist of songs I associate with him which consists of a lot of Wildbeasts and Placebo (enter the void)

16: something you are good at but don't really have fun doing:

this question is blowing my mind...i think i like everything that I'm good at.... because, especially with art, either i do something tedious enough times that i begin to like it because it becomes second nature, or I like it so i do it a lot. if there's flaws or problems in my art its probably because i don't like it enough to put the work in. (which is not great) but i do try to push past it
