Your WOL has the chance to time travel again and this time they could change ONE major event that has led them to where they currently are.

HOWEVER, they are forbidden from changing anything having to do with Haurchefant Greystone. In fact, doing so would tip the balance so much that anything else they have done would be nullified and the world would end instantly. Every world tied to the Source would cease to be in an instant.

What other event do they change or stop from happening?

Welcome to my blog for Liolaeus, my Warrior of Light!

A dragoon and a lifelong wanderer, born in the countryside of Nagxia and raised by the Viera of Skatay, who likes to live as free as a bird exploring the world and everything in it, from cities to wilderness.

He loves nothing more than his chocobos- in the photo is his steed Samuel, a young Ishgardian draught chocobo who's closely bonded to Liolaeus and incredibly loyal. He also keeps a tiny jennet named Rosa as a pet, you'll often see her following him around!

I've been playing FFXIV since patch 6.1- I thought I should make a separate blog for it to keep all his stuff together and do @wolpromptaday 's prompts.

WoL Prompt A Day #1

Fight. Come on. You know this dance. You've done it now for years. Feel the aether flow through my body, through the aetherotransformer. Through to the weapon. You know why you have to do this.

The waves of malice and opressive aether that flowed off him threatened to choke Kerina if the pain from the overflow of stagnant light aether didn't first. However a strength they didn't know they had lately begun to blossom forth from inside. A stronger force, a third force fighting against everything. Different from the 'blessing' that they called a curse. A tempering. From a primal. The disgust in them rose, a fury to rival that of whatever Halone supposedly had.

They were themselves. They were not bound to a primal. They refused to be. They refused to let anyone else be anyone other than themselves. It was intrinsic. Themselves was all they ever could be. All they ever would be. No one, not even he could change that.

"This is what he would want if he had control of himself enough." They muttered to themselves as they reconfigured the gun and leveled their sights at his chest. This was it.

Loser becomes untempered.

Winner leaves knowing their heart's blood is on their hands.

For once, the curse and their heart were in agreement. As much as it hurt. To save him, he himself needed to die. They just prayed they had enough strength to do so.

"I'm sorry." They shouted up at him, finishing reassembling the configuration of their revolver "I love you! I'm sorry!" And with that, they opened fire.

To Jarbs they are a burden.

"Oh gods, not again. I'm sure they didn't bury this on their own property AGAIN. If it's Darvis from the Cape again, I will scream. Was this public property? Thal give me strength if it's on Monetarist land. If it's Sultana land I might have to confiscate it. Could go to new uniforms if I did tho. The new recruits are making holes in holes at this rate....

The amount of paperwork I'm going to have to turn in to file this report it's gonna eat up the weekend I had planned with my husband. Sigh..."

Hi all, happy Friday! The Compendium update is happening a little earlier this week; mostly because I'm working on it in between Rabanastre queues (c'mere tomes) and because I can. 🦀 If there's a belated addition, I'll update at the end of this weekend as per normal.

However, as of today (05/24) the following resources have been added to Sea's Community Compendium for XIV Creatives.

Below are the following things I do not accept on the Compendium:

Personal/Single-Character LFC ads.

Content intended for or can be used for bullying, harassment and OOC gossip. E.g. ‘Secrets’ blogs, receipts, callout posts, etc. This does not include in-character tabloid blogs used to generate RP.

Communities that do not have an RP/writing element (large-scale exempt).

Anything I find personally distasteful or goes against the spirit of this project.

Common-sense rule applies.

FAQ.

I want to put my community on the compendium but we have an application process. Is this okay?

Yes! Just note somewhere in your application that's a requirement. The only thing that is mandatory for the Compendium is that you must be open to new members or have a public-facing/accessible facet. There's no point advertising a community if no one can join it in some way!

I want to put my community on the compendium but I only have x number of members —

Also totally okay! People don't start with large communities. Activity is a must but, whether your server has two or two thousand members, if you're looking for new people to join, I'd love to help you find people.

I want to put my community on the compendium but I worry its too niche?

Okay, and? If your Eorzean Fishing Alliance has four members but you roleplay every second weekend, I still want to know about it.

What resources/communities can I add if I'm not the owner of them?

Mutual consent is extremely important to me, so anything that isn't a large-scale community OR a publicly accessible resource must be endorsed by the owner/admin/moderators in order to be added to the compendium. I operate under the assumption that a resource posted to a public space (tumblr, googledocs, youtube, etc) is open to all. A large-scale community is one with a significant member count or openly advertises itself as being accessible to everyone for whatever purpose it serves. If in doubt, please get in touch with me. I'm happy to contact your community owners for you!

How active does a community need to be?

If you find a community has not been active in about two/three months, send me a message and I'll take a look at it. Communities have ebbs and flows, especially event spaces that may take hiatuses depending on member interest/life events. I'm not strict in my implementation provided a space isn't dead. If a link or anything is broken, absolutely contact me about that.

on 11th september we had this banger tweet from @ WOLpromptaday, and then doubling down, and while i dont have receipts, they claimed it was fine to post because it was just a writing excercise and they too lost people in 9/11, and how you can use creative writing to help with grief etc

and meanwhile on the 10th september, we had this raider (@ FFsifa) scratching his noggin, genuinely wondering why no girls apply for world first clears, gee i wonder why

user @ re_Mishaniz has quite helpfully collected a couple receipts from the replies and quote retweets in this one handy tweet. the replies and qrts are all basically calling him out or telling their experiences with ffsifa, including cheating (several instances)

then on the 12th september theres this tweet with a single discord screenshot as an apology (i think), no body text just screenshot

G'raha Tia was never sent to Sharlayan by his family. Never had the chance to become an Archon. Never volunteered for the expedition to explore the Crystal Tower.

In effect the Crystal Exarch never exists, neither does the Crystarium. The First and all the people of Norvrandt die to the light and become Sin Eaters. They’re now a threat to other worlds much like Void Sent.

G’raha is never there to assist Alisaie in finding her cure. The people in Radz-at-Hand subsequently die from darkest despair. He’s also never in Ultima Thule.

Without him there’s only one member of the Students of Baldessian left, the order is not free to pursue petitions and they never accept the request to assist in Tuliyollal. Thus Kryle never follows through with her quest there either.


What if the adventurous bard was instead found by House Van Darnus and his heirloom exploited?
