I feel like I say this a lot but it’s genuinely so unfair to me how people treat Kristen in Junior Year. She’s a teenager who has died multiple times, bravely abandoned the truly cult-like church she was raised and chosen to lead, and was essentially abandoned by her parents after she came out.

It’s not fair to say that she doesn’t care enough or that she doesn’t want to do hard things. She’s constantly doing hard things. She chose doubt and mystery, which was arguably one of the most astonishing and brave things she ever did. She reached for Cassandra before she even knew it was Cassandra in the Nightmare Forest. She saved Cassandra from being the Nightmare King instead of fleeing in fear. She has saved the world with her friends multiple times, keeping them alive as best as she can. She watches her brother get mistreated by her parents but knows there’s not anything she can do now that she’s gone. She watched another cleric of Helio get stabbed by one of their own party members, and tries her hardest to bring him back even though he doesn’t respect or like her. She performed a miracle after stumbling upon the bodies of her teacher and another classmate, keeping them safe in her afterlife with Cassandra.

She might be silly and not very dexterous, but she is always doing hard things. I’ll die on this hill

Shoutout to my family last night at supper indulging me in my shows but also lowkey embarrassing me a little bit:

Me, talking to my sister about what show we should watch, thinking we should probably watch Supernatural since it's earlier and we have more time but realizing that we could also watch Stranger Things sine we haven't watched that in like two weeks since we finished season 1: "Or, you know what else we could watch?" (Implying Stranger Things)

My mom: "Gilmore Girls?" (God bless her fucking soul because I found out she had all the seasons on DVD and I do really want to watch the show sometime for Jared but like. I've got three shows and one podcast and one book I'm reading and one (kinda. Technically like 583) books I'm writing going on so that's got to wait a bit lol. But she brings it up all the time lol.)

Me, joking around a little bit: "No, I gotta restrain myself. I've got too many shows going on."

My mom, turning to my dad: "She wants to watch it because that Supernatural guy is on it. But he's like younger."

My dad, who I ALSO DIDN'T KNOW FUCKING WATCHED GILMORE GIRLS LIKE I THOUGHT YOU WERE A HILLBILLY: "Rory's boyfriend?"

My mom: "Yeah."

My dad, turning to me: "I thought the Supernatural guy was Tracker's brother." (taking about Jensen lmao)

Me: "There's two brothers. (thinks about Cas) There's a lot of guys on that show. Why do you think I watch it?" (joking lol but also not really)

So yeah, I love my family <33 but also I was probably blushing this entire time.

so much happened this episode...

i spent the whole time kristen was talking to naradriel fucking convinced that nara had done the spies/spy's tongue curse/agreement on that 3 week retreat with her family and been taking devil's nectar/honey to start to believe the lie that she believes in wolf song and loves tracker

when emily mentioned spies/spy's tongue i got incredibly excitwd and then was immediately crestfallen when she was talking about the gods

but clearly something is up with the gods! AND ADAINE LEARNED THE NAME OF THE DEAD GOD! and everything went IMMEDIATELY WRONG!!!

the moon attacking fig's curse! adaine counterspelling it! the curse on fig being broken, sort of not quite maybe! baron's return!

i'm so excited for next episode, but having minis for baron... seeing his fucking. skeleton smile as a weird little boy. and then his final form of long, snaking limbs of bone with that same smiling face... terrifying! i look forward to it!

final thought is that i hope the werewolf we saw isn't jawbone, but also i think it is jawbone and that makes me nervous about emotional damage, which is turn actually makes me hope that it is jawbone bc i enjoy pain and suffering in my stories
