Does Tumblr know that Reddit retconned all Reddit Gold, Silver, and other awards last month (even the $50+ ones, introduced only a few years ago), and deleted all Reddit Coins (the currency used to purchase awards) from everyone's accounts, ending with an ominous message about the site "heading in a new direction," then finally came out with a new system where the site will pay you $1 per Reddit Gold so long as you adhere to a YouTube-tier restrictive monetization policy and accumulate at least 10 within a year?

Site's going down the shitter. Thank god the monetization system is comically difficult to profit off of (keep in mind that gold costs several real world dollars on the viewer's end, and must be given willingly), if it was something actually viable the site would be flooded with algorithmic slop (which it already kind of is, but the bot problem is manageable assuming a sub's moderators actually give a shit/are still active)

Btw, Russia and China just vetoed a resolution to pause the invasion of Gaza too. And how about the fucking puppet-master Iranian theocracy government, that hamas said funded their attack? They likely wanted to cast the already abused victimized people in Gaza to fire just to distract the west. If you wanna say fuck America, you’ll have to fuck the security council too, especially Russia and China that vetoed ceasefire. Earlier in invasion of Ukraine, a ceasefire was also vetoed by Russia, the aggressor of the war. The security council is namely useless: can’t guarantee anyone’s security but that of the five or so states. It enabled them to perpetuate their selfish wills and ignored less powerful countries and peoples of the world.

It is also important for everyone to realize how censored and unreliable the state of social media currently is. There isn’t much stopping them from messing with your account if they don’t like you. Remember this: If your entire online identify is subject to the arbitration of some social media staff, you better back up all your important posts and anything you don’t want to lose, as well as find other ways to connect to important friends you made here.
