I have the energy to do a bunch of stuff today but also need to sit with my feet up so the swelling can go down...

unlikely tales —

The thoughts are scrambled tonight

Where do I even begin the sorting

Sit with the feeling in discontent, they advise…

This isn’t wise, I counter, nonsensical truly.

There is this shame that is evident on my skin

All secrets buried beneath now distorting my complexion

consequences I carry in my curved countenance

covering my head, masking my shameful emotions

My words are spoken in apologetic tones,

broken.

From downcast eyes I cry,

not tears; rather

little drops of pear-shaped fire blossoms

landing on my lap.

Some consider my wounds

and associate the scars with the piercings from a too promiscuous mind

Although, I suppose, seeing this implies a broken trust

I am both validated and minimized, insensitive comments are the norm.

When you’re on the receiving end of love from a broken soul,

can it even be called love?

I’m always chasing an ignition, so it feels always and so it is very tiring.

I only have one dream

having it come true will cascade and drag me into my paradise

And that will be nice

Day 7. September Series

Mostly editing first draft of christmas fic (putting together scenes that were written out of order). I wrote @352 words this week.

Week 36 of 2024

Welcome to September. We only have 4 Months until the end of the year. By now, school has started for the entire nation some sort of college, primary/private, kindergarten, Head Start, Montesouri, and/or pre-school education. And we are now gearing up for the fall and winter holidays - and family gatherings.

Last week I thought I would have time to write on Monday, but I was wrong lol. Where I did manage to post 2 chapters:  Everlarked Ever After A Cinderella Story - I only got to write 464 words for the story.

My other sister is visiting this week and well, it's like hearing kittens, along with a cup of familiar drama. Everyone is stressed especially with my mom's BP spiking up.

Jill Weinberger: And seriously, if you have $5 to give, whatever, go to that Act Blue link and donate, because if the first thing that happens after this announcement is a massive surge in donations, it will be incredible optics and give hope to voters who are worried and also make shitty people really unhappy.

Kevin M. Kruse: Yeah, for better or worse, the initial donations will be the first thing the mainstream media will look to as a metric of "Democratic enthusiasm"

Weinberger is one of the writers on Leverage Redemption.

Kruse is a Professor of History at Princeton, per his department page, "Kevin M. Kruse studies the political, social, and urban/suburban history of 20th-century America. Focused on conflicts over race, rights, and religion, he has particular interests in segregation and the civil rights movement, the rise of religious nationalism and the making of modern conservatism."

10:49AM today in Cupertino, California

06:35AM tomorrow in Waitangi, New Zealand;

both are happening right now, yet

there is no opening between both points.

There should be a pocket of time

a gap, a crack, a slip of relief

a bubble in which to stand still for a while,

to space out, to un-be…

yet, time is relentless in constantly ticking

and my rhythm gets lost in frenzied see-sawed tocking.

A perpetual rush to sync up, to keep up

My clumsy dance, my wayward steps

I need a bracket of moment to right myself up

If not this space in time,

then when, then where, and how will I mend?
