About the collection, the composer says: "It makes me feel very good … It's another way of saying the music is going to get out there. The music is going to have a life independent of me … It's a great thing. And I'm very proud that it happened. Ah yay thank you! I love sharing wips and this just made me write a couple new lines! I’m the worst at following this rule, even when it’s my own, so just pretend these are all one line 😉

Lovesick:

“Oh dear,” came a chastising voice off to his side. Anakin whirled to see none other than the man of his dreams, Doctor Obi-Wan Kenobi, leaning against the bar in a way that should be illegal: hip popped out, ass defined, arm strong and sturdy against the bar. Anakin’s mind went blank at the sight.

Some Dance to Remember (Some Dance to Forget)

Obi-Wan closed his eyes and felt Quinlan all around him: his hands on his waist, his hips moving in time to his, his chest breathing heavily, hot and sweaty against his back.

Vampire Smut Part 2:

Anakin turned to Obi-Wan, a snarl building in his chest purely on instinct at the threat of razor sharp teeth pressed against his throat, even as he obeyed his command. The sight of him, the feel of him overpowering his new body - a body brimming with power and strength unlike anything he had ever known - filled him with an entirely different kind of hunger even as his every instinct screamed out a warning of danger.

Kudos to composer John Adams, whose opera Antony and Cleopatra opened at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC last night. On NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday, NPR's Jeff Lunden spoke with stars Julia Bullock and Gerald Finley, director Elkhanah Pulitzer, and the composer, who concludes: "Part of composing is creating an alchemy between the colors and the gestures of the orchestra and the beauty of the voice. And, of course, in this case, I've got Shakespeare's language, which is incomparably wonderful." You can hear the piece here.
