Energy Work On The Body: Hittin' The Right Spots For Tension Relief
While evidence does not suggest that energy healing alone is a reliable method of curing serious illnesses, there is still some evidence that energy healing techniques do provide some benefit. For example, Reiki applied by trained practitioners was found to promote relaxation and improve one's mood. And that's not nothing! Stress is hard on your mind and body.
Now, I will not be talking about chakras here, but I will instead offer an alternative approach. The main reason is that the concept of chakras that most of us are accustomed to is pretty bastardized from their origins. Another reason is that our bastardized concept of chakras isn't really a useful framework for what I'm about to talk about.
(If you want to learn more about how chakras have been appropriated and bastardized, scroll down to the end.)
Instead, I'm going to ask you to consider where your body tenses up under stress. This might be:
Your forehead
Your jaw
Your neck and shoulders
Your upper chest/heart region
Your upper back
Your abdominal area
Your hands
Your hips
Or maybe you tense up somewhere else! But in any case, try and observe where your body tenses up or where you start feeling pain when you're stressed out. (If you start feeling sick to your stomach when people talk about politics or religion, that's a stress response!)
Once you've figured this out, you want to get yourself relaxed. You can try any meditation technique you want, or you might try laying in bed with relaxing music or even a podcast or audiobook, whatever helps. As you lay there, visualize peaceful healing energies on your tension spot. You may not notice anything different immediately, but if you keep it up for several days you might find that it makes a difference.
Happy witchin'!

Cure Vol.201 - キズ KIZU feature (April 2020)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I always thought that this world is hell.”
Kizu is set to release their latest single, "Jigoku" (Hell) on April 28. Previously, Lime mentioned that after releasing Kuroi Ame, he felt that he had "said everything he wanted to say." So, what led to the creation of this new song? We asked them about their thoughts at this moment.
For the members' safety, this interview was conducted online. Interview by— Atsuhiko Kamiya
Lime: Hello, hello! Is this your first online interview? This is the future of work, huh.
Yue: How do I turn the camera on?
Reiki: Am I visible?
Kyonosuke: Yeah, we can see you!
Interviewer: Let’s begin. You’re releasing "Jigoku" (Hell) at a time when the world itself feels like hell.
Lime: I never imagined things would turn out like this. The title was decided around December. But maybe because of the timing, there’s something about Jigoku that resonates even more now.
Reiki: Kizu hasn't changed at all. Though, I did move and basically became homeless for a while.
Yue: I've been working out, and my shoulders got bigger.
Kyonosuke: The only real change for me is that it’s harder to go to the studio for practice. But safety comes first now.
Lime: Alright, let’s talk about the song! (laughs) This time, I went back to the way I used to make music. No, wait, what does "went back" even mean? More like, I tried to return to the basics… No, that’s not it. Ugh, thinking from home makes my head even more messed up than usual (laughs).
Reiki: When Lime sent me the demo for Jigoku, I felt like "he wasn't thinking about anything at all."
Lime: That’s it.
Reiki: Not in the sense that he made it carelessly, but it felt like the sensibility of the empty Lime had come through. It shows his aggressive attitude, purely concentrated into a song.
Interviewer: Why did you feel "empty"?
Lime: After releasing Kuroi Ame, I really felt like I had said everything I wanted to say.
Interviewer: You once said, "I feel like Kizu was formed just to create this song."
Lime: Yeah, exactly. But then I realized, "Wait, I still have more to say." I’ve always thought that this world is hell. That feeling was the starting point for Jigoku.
Interviewer: So the world as you see it became the song?
Lime: That’s the only thing I can turn into music. There are so many different music genres out there, but I feel like the only thing I’m capable of expressing is negative emotions toward society. Every song I create always comes from that place. Jigoku was built entirely from negative emotions.
Interviewer: In the past, you’ve said, "Once I’ve said everything, I’ll quit the band without hesitation."
Lime: No, I can’t quit now. I don’t even think about quitting. In fact, in this current situation—where we can’t even perform live and band members are being frowned upon—it’s precisely because we live in a society like this that I feel even more driven to be active.
Interviewer: When you're told "You can't perform live," it just makes you want to do it more?
Lime: It's rock ’n’ roll to stay true to yourself, even under oppression, right? Of course, we’re cooperating with social restrictions. But you shouldn't bend your own heart, right? The lyrics of Jigoku are nothing but my true, raw feelings. That said, I feel like I discovered a new creative direction in the B-side tracks.
Reiki: Yeah, your lyric-writing style has changed. Especially in Mr. BIG MONSTER.
Lime: Honestly, people might only understand about 20-30% of it. (laughs) But that’s where I found my place.
Yue: It’s like you discovered a new version of yourself.
Kyonosuke: The words are lined up in a strange way, aren't they?
Lime: Yeah, and in a way, I started to see that as a form of art. Up until now, my lyrics were always message-driven, but I started wanting to add a layer of artistry, too. I mean, it might sound a bit "out of this world" (laughs) But that’s just the kind of person I am.
Interviewer: So you are someone who’s hard to understand?
Lime: Right. That’s why I used to try and explain myself carefully through lyrics. But... I stopped.
Interviewer: That’s a big change.
Lime: That was also because of Kuroi Ame. I couldn't think of any message for society beyond that song. So, I thought I’d shift towards lyrics that feel artistic instead.
Reiki: I really love Mr. BIG MONSTER. Especially the way it starts— "Teihen yokubou ÷ arukooru dosuu" (Bottom tier x desire ÷ alcohol content). I like how you stacked words with similar sounds, but they still connect meaningfully.
Interviewer: And the part where it says 'The irrationality you hate—fly' and 'Devouring loneliness'.
Reiki: Yeah, exactly. When I first heard the rough version, it kind of reminded me of Indian or traditional folk music.
Kyonosuke: Yeah, it definitely has a bit of a foreign vibe to it.
Yue: The line "Let’s wash it away with a plutonium shower" really hits hard.
Lime: That’s from Jakusha no Koushin. (laughs)
Yue: That (laughs).
Lime: Jakusha no Koshin (March of the Weak) is a song where we, the weak, say things that we, the weak, do.
Interviewer: Who are the "weak" that you're referring to?
Lime: Us band members—we're socially weak. Think about the current state of society. We pay taxes and contribute to society in our own way, just like other jobs, right? But when it comes to cultural work like ours, there’s no financial support. The struggle we’ve always felt has only gotten worse. … Though, if I keep talking like this, this will turn into a really bad interview (laughs). Anyway, this song is packed with punchy words. That’s all.
Interviewer: That was quite a rough summary. (laughs)
Lime: I’ll be honest—there are parts of this I don’t really want to touch on! So just read the lyrics!
Everyone: Hahaha (laughs).
Kyonosuke: Are you sure that’s okay? (laughs)
Lime: I don’t want to explain it in words—that’s why I put it into the song. So yeah, it’s fine.
Yue: That’s Lime’s strength. If you say it in plain words, people will start analyzing and criticizing, but when it’s in a song, it's more persuasive.
Interviewer: The lyrics are intense, but at the same time, I can imagine things getting chaotic at a live show.
Lime: I want the weak to come together and have a live show in our own way. Once society settles down, I want to do a “March of the Weak.”
Reiki: How about a “March of the Weak Fest”? This song has a circus image to me. And a circus is a gathering of all kinds of people, isn’t it?
Interviewer: A circus? Like with clowns and animals?
Reiki: Right. Would you call this a dance tune? The arrangement was done with a circus-like atmosphere in mind. It’s like a show where each member shows off their specialty. And that chaotic, unpredictable circus atmosphere feels very Kizu.
Interviewer: Would you say this is a type of song Kizu hasn’t really done before?
Reiki: Yeah, we haven’t! Originally, Lime said he wanted to play a song like Jakusha no Koushin live.
Lime: Yeah. I just wanted to leave behind a song that packed more of a punch than the previous ones. That’s all.
Reiki: Jakusha no Koushin and Mr. BIG MONSTER both have fresh new sounds. Not that anyone cares.
Yue: That’s not true at all! (laughs)
Reiki: You think so? (laughs) We’re using distortion on electric guitar and Lime’s vocals. It would be amazing to play it live.
Interviewer: The drums also have a sound that really fits the idea of a "march," don’t they?
Kyonosuke: Yeah, especially the way the rhythm flows and how the snare comes in at the beginning. The steady quarter-note beat throughout really matches the title. When I first heard the song and later found out it was called "March of the Weak", it just made perfect sense.
Yue: As for the bass, I’m actually recording it today. I try not to imagine anything specific while playing. If I think too much about it as a “marching song,” I end up hearing “Turkish March” in my head (laughs).
Interviewer: That one is pretty famous.
Yue: Right. That’s why I try not to visualize anything—I just want to play “March of the Weak” as it is.
Reiki: And then there’s "15.2". This one's my favorite out of the four songs.
Lime: The only lyrics are basically just "Soredemo" ("Even so").
Reiki: Come on, it’s not just that. (laughs) It’s the simplest song, but also the most complete. Artists turn their emotions and state of mind into sound, right? I feel like this song captures something really raw and unfiltered. It kind of reminds me of everyday life.
Interviewer: You get a sense of life from "15.2"?
Reiki: Yeah. Most songs are around three to four minutes long, and before you know it, they’re over. But in “15.2,” there are breaks, clear contrasts between soft and intense moments, it feels like the flow of a day, from beginning to end.
Interviewer: The pauses in the song are quite striking, aren’t they?
Reiki: It's exciting. I love it so much I’d probably just put in my earphones and listen to it on repeat without thinking.
Kyonosuke: When I first saw the title, I thought it might be a continuation of "15"(十五Juugo), like a song capturing Lime’s thoughts from back then. With "Jakusha no Koushin", the marching image stays throughout the entire song, but with “15.2,” what you imagine changes depending on which part you’re listening to.
Yue: Even from the very first demo, I could picture us performing it live. I imagined the fans quietly listening, deeply immersed in the song. The bass feels like it’ll be really satisfying to play, too.
Interviewer: Which part feels particularly good to play?
Yue: The beat in the chorus is something completely new for Kizu. I play the bass in sync with the drums that are driving that beat, and I personally love that part.
Lime: With "15.2", I wanted to bring closure to what I sang about experiencing at 15 years old in "15".
Interviewer: The lyrics are also very straightforward.
Lime: Yeah, after writing this song, I finally felt like, Okay, I can put that chapter behind me. Truly painful experiences take time before they can be turned into a song. If you’d asked when I was 15 if I could write about what happened back then, there’s no way I could have.
Yue: You need some distance from it.
Lime: Yeah, it took time. I thought about it a lot, but in the end, the line in the chorus—"Soredemo kimi wa kirei da" (Even so, you are beautiful)—conveys what I wanted to express.
Interviewer: "15.2" isn’t like the other three songs. The lyrics feel like a letter.
Lime: That’s true. It turned into something like a cry from the heart. The order in which I wrote these songs was Jigoku, 15.2, Jakusha no Koushin, and then Mr. BIG MONSTER. After Kuroi Ame left me feeling empty, the final destination of this single was Mr. BIG MONSTER. Until now, my singing style has been pretty much the same, but with these four songs, every vocal approach is different. Mr. BIG MONSTER is the biggest change.
Interviewer: The world each song evokes is completely different, too.
Lime: Yeah, both my singing style and lyrics have changed. Everything leads to Mr. BIG MONSTER, and I envision a future where the next work is a more refined version of that.

Ah, rock shows. The mix of serious gem and fossil sellers, amazing crafters, random jewelry sellers, and woo-woo crystal magic followers.
One booth owner assured me all the jewelry was infused with Reiki energy and that music bowls were involved and so forth. To me, this is code saying, "all wares are marked up because magic," so I moved on pretty quickly. The next booth had wonderful prices on simple carvings and random tumbled/polished stones. I dropped some money there, while listening to a family discuss the magical properties of various stones while they tried to decide what to buy. At one point, the booth owner was asked about the particular magic abilities of a particular stone, and I'm impressed at how she refrained from rolling her eyes as she recommend they look it up on google. Her booth was NOT selling magical items, so I'm not sure why this group thought she'd know whether serpentine has healing energy or whatnot.
Upon reflection, I probably should have gone back and bought more from her. The agate dragon heads were pretty cool.
I guess I just find it weird because back when I was into all things occult and mystic, "crystal magic" was explained as, "the rocks aren't actually magic. Some rocks are just good at focusing and amplifying certain energies, so they make good tools for doing magic." As in, any magic going on is coming from you, the rock is a rock to anyone else. And these days practitioners insist that the rocks are full of magic energy and just holding or wearing such and such stone will heal all your ills! Funny how there can be bins of $5 quartz readily available in a lot of places, but people still die of cancer, huh?
It's also possibly irritating to me because a lot of my selection IS based on personal vibes, and I don't like people blathering about magic that they haven't even researched properly while I'm trying to decide if this piece of jasper I'm holding will make me happy when I roll it around in my hands and study the abstract pictures in it. "Do you like rock? Does rock make you feel happy when you hold it? Buy rock. Don't expect rock to cure love life. Rock only bring love if you trying to attract geologist."
Which brings us to the multiple bins of penis carvings. The ones with little feet were charming, but most of them were just, "here's a bunch of dicks carved out of onyx!" Not that I'm objecting or anything. I fully understand why you might want a stone dick on your shelf or endtable. It's just with the magic talk floating around, I suspect some sellers would be giving me a lecture on how the carving will cure a person's erectile dysfunction if I showed any interest.
I don't know why the most common carving throughout the show was mushrooms. Except that it's probably a really easy thing to carve. I did consider buying one of the carved t-rex heads that were next to the dicks, but I would have had to risk using a downtown ATM to afford one, and that always gets my cards locked due to "suspicious activity."
I ended up with a bag of angelite that I'm going to try my hand at carving, a bag of I don't know what but they were pretty and the deal was for two bags, and I didn't need TWO bags of angelite, two nice tumbled pieces of ocean jasper that had interesting eye-like patterns, a crude sphere of I don't know what stone, but it looks neat, some beads that were on severe discount, a little bag of little fossils meant as a collector's starter kit, four cut pieces of quartz that were in the bargain bin because they were cloudy and full of inclusions (which is how I prefer them), and one rough opal that I couldn't take my eyes off of. I regret passing up some of the affordable carvings, but I don't exactly have display shelf space, and the cats routinely send everything they encounter crashing to the floor anyway. Maybe next time.

Oren Zarif Review and the Rise of Alternative Healing Treatments
Tumblr media
Oren Zarif review topics have been gaining more attention as people around the world seek new ways to improve their health. With growing interest in holistic and natural methods, alternative healing treatments have started to become a serious option for many who feel traditional medicine has not fully addressed their needs.
This blog explores who Oren Zarif is, what his method involves, and how alternative healing practices are becoming more popular in today’s health-conscious world.
Who Is Oren Zarif
Oren Zarif is an alternative therapist based in Israel. He is known for his controversial method that focuses on what he calls “subconscious energy” to treat various physical and emotional conditions. While not part of the conventional medical community, Zarif has built a reputation among his followers and has reportedly treated thousands of patients.
According to many Oren Zarif reviews, people have turned to him after trying everything else—seeking relief from conditions like chronic pain, migraines, digestive issues, stress, and fatigue. Some claim significant improvement after his treatments, while others remain skeptical. Regardless, Zarif’s method is one of many examples of how alternative therapies are making their mark.
What Are Alternative Healing Treatments
Alternative healing treatments refer to practices that fall outside of conventional medicine. These approaches focus on supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and often take a more holistic view of health. Instead of targeting only the symptoms, alternative therapies aim to treat the root causes of illness by addressing physical, emotional, and even spiritual well-being.
Popular types of alternative healing include:
Acupuncture – Using thin needles to stimulate energy points in the body
Homeopathy – Natural remedies based on the principle of “like cures like”
Herbal Medicine – Using plants to treat health conditions
Reiki and Energy Healing – Balancing the body’s energy flow
Chiropractic Care – Manual manipulation of the spine and joints
Meditation and Mindfulness – Techniques to reduce stress and improve mental clarity
How Oren Zarif’s Method Works
Oren Zarif’s therapy is based on what he refers to as the power of the subconscious mind. He claims that all physical and emotional conditions can be treated by activating energy hidden within the subconscious. Sessions with Zarif involve the patient sitting quietly while he “channels” healing energy to target specific issues.
Zarif does not use any tools, medications, or machines. Instead, he relies on focused mental power and energy flow. According to patient testimonials, the sessions are noninvasive and painless, with some people reporting a noticeable shift in their symptoms.
It’s important to note that this method is not supported by conventional science, and results vary widely. Still, many who have written an Oren Zarif review describe feeling calmer, more energized, and in some cases, physically better after visiting him.
Why Are People Turning to Alternative Treatments
There are several reasons why more people today are looking beyond traditional medicine:
1. Frustration with Conventional Care
Long waiting times, side effects from medications, and lack of personalized attention push some people to explore other options.
2. Desire for Natural Healing
Many prefer natural approaches that focus on prevention, balance, and long-term health instead of quick fixes.
3. Focus on Whole-Person Wellness
Alternative therapies often consider mental, emotional, and spiritual factors as well as physical symptoms.
4. Chronic Health Issues
Conditions like chronic pain, fatigue, or anxiety may not respond well to standard treatments, making alternatives more appealing.
What to Keep in Mind Before Trying Alternative Healing
While stories like those found in an Oren Zarif review may sound promising, it’s important to be cautious and informed. Not all alternative treatments are safe or effective for every person. Here are a few guidelines:
Always consult your doctor before starting a new treatment
Look for licensed or certified practitioners when possible
Understand that results may vary from person to person
Be wary of any method that promises instant or miracle cures
Real Experiences from Oren Zarif’s Patients
Several individuals have shared positive feedback about their sessions with Oren Zarif. Common themes in these reviews include reduced physical discomfort, better emotional balance, and renewed hope after years of suffering.
However, there are also critics who argue that any perceived benefits may be psychological or placebo-based. As with most alternative therapies, patient experience is highly individual, and expectations should be realistic.
Final Thoughts
The interest in alternative healing methods continues to grow, and the story of Oren Zarif is one that reflects this movement. Whether or not you believe in the power of subconscious energy, it’s clear that many people are looking for new paths to health and wellness.
This Oren Zarif review highlights just one of many approaches in the alternative therapy space. If you are curious about exploring such treatments, take the time to research thoroughly, ask questions, and always prioritize your well-being.

"You know I was like you, 20, trying to make my mark. But it left me lonely. And then I meet this woman who suddenly treats me like I have something to offer, like I can make things happen. One morning, there's a knock on my door, and and she's holding this Joni Mitchell CD, tells me to listen to the song 'If,' based on the Rudyard Kipling poem. Kipling says that if you endure long enough, you inherit the Earth, but Joni Mitchell says that that's bullshit, that young people need to wake up, fight. She makes you cum in ways that you never thought possible. She performs Reiki that cures your migraines. She cries mid-story, and you think that you're the only one who's ever seen her tears. And then, like the Sun, she sets on you, shines on someone else. That's just what she does."
"I've never had a migraine."
 "Lucky you."

This is a disgrace of a woman and mother. Convincing people she can heal everything from depression to terminal illness, with colloidal silver. Im glad she's dead. Only wish it happened sooner. The rest of the people in her cult, should have the Life sued off their backs. They should have everything taken from them, for convincing people of the ability to heal everything from a headache, to terminal illnesses, by following this "New Age Lifestyle". And then on top of it, she abandons her children. Just so she can do drugs and drink herself to death. And not one of these special people, are able to question this whole "mother" quality. And the cherry on top, is all of them "trauma bonding" over their childhood traumas and then they traumatize small children living with them -like toddler/preschool aged children-, by locking them in closets, when they misbehave or are stressed out due to their environment. That was the best form of "Mothering" and "Parenting" these losers could collectively think of, in order to SOOTHE a child: lock them in a closet. That, is Mother God & her Imbeciles; who convinced people she could cure their illnesses, with colloidal silver. How many innocent people followed this lifestyle and did not make it. How many people did they rob right out in the open. And then made it difficult or impossible for them to continue seeking further medical attention from a real doctor, because they drained their savings. People do not understand what desperation does to a person, in a terminal state.
Shame on all of these people, for eternity. I hope the rest of their lives, is filled with excruciating mental pain and suffering, that they cannot even begin to comprehend. I view these people no differently than, Casey Anthony. Just out here freely, walking around, as if they're innocent. When in fact, they are not. They're guilty of egregious things.
Fuck Reiki. Fuck New Age Medicine. Fuck New Age Lifestyles. Fuck New Age Spirituality. If I ever hear anyone talking about these New Age things like they're a cure in some type of way, or real... Im always and forever going to assume that there is a very present and very loud drug addiction/drinking problem/severe if not permanent cognitive damage; fuelling that type of language.
Because, FUCK YOU, for convincing people of that.
I can't believe this cult is still active. I do not feel sorry for this narcissistic abusive alcoholic lousy excuse of a mother. Who is not god. is not Marilyn Monroe incarnated. Is not the walking embodiment of Cleopatra. People are 51/50'd, for LESS. Her family didn't do anything for her, aside from trying to call her -a mentally unstable drug addict and alcoholic, and trying to interact with her on livestreams: "Amy? Amy are you there?" ...Because that's gonna do something. The only person I see as trying to do something in this situation, was one of her "imbecile disciples" actual mother, calling the FBI about what was happening. Everyone else is just another enabler. 51/50. Why didn't anyone do that, if they were truly concerned. I guess that, was seen as worse than death. The thought of her being angry with them, over placing her in an involuntary psychiatric hold, was scarier than just watching her die. And it's not just watching her die. It's: Watching her die, while she's continuing to deceive people in the most heinous way possible -misleading people with claims about healing them. The fact that these so-called healers prey on people at their most vulnerable moments is beyond reprehensible. And the family members... of the Love Has Won Cult members, knowing about it and just watching it all happen, live and in actions...even more disgusting. Hope the "check-ins" on the livestream were worth it! Seriously, what is calling someone who is This deranged, going to do. They're never going to say, "Okay I fucked up". or "Yes I need help". It's all going to be another thing to validate their egregious actions and the "3D beings" bringing them down. Amy Carlson from the Love Has Won "Mother God" Cult, was a drug addict. A FRAUD. An alcoholic. An anorexic. An a abusive mother. And a disgusting waste of flesh. She was a stain on the earth and it is good that she is gone. It is the ultimate form of karma, that she died from her own bullshit and when she did request to go to a hospital, her followers were like "bich y'crazy!" and refused to take her to one.

Autistic
Recently I've been battling pretty awful anxiety, which caused my entire skin to flare and turn red (I'm going to be honest and say that I've also been using a cleanser that has been drying and irritating and my face is red and peeling and I'm sure it made my hand eczema worse as well, but I'm not sure). I had a breakdown in front of my mom and sister. They are both in the psych field so they were trying to help me out and understand my behavior which has been so debilitating to me. They believe I might be autistic. And I believe it too. I'm not a psychologist, but I always knew something was psychologically "off" in me. For instance, I don't have much motivation to socialize and find hobbies, am always scrolling on my phone, am obsessed with having a strict schedule/routine and hate sudden surprises, panic over things other people would think are trivial, and cannot engage in activities that require a calm and relaxed mind because mine is always racing (meditation, mindfulness, affirmations, or reading).
I'm almost 30 and everything just clicked for me. I would have never suspected I was autistic. But again it is a spectrum and not a small set of characteristics. I have never been diagnosed and girls are less likely to be diagnosed with autism than boys. I went through a checklist of autism traits in women and I felt like a lot of them applied to me. My mom and sister also agreed. I've done a few self-assessment quizzes and did receive scores that categorize me as autistic.
I'm going to meet with a psychiatrist to do a screening. Because if I do turn out to be autistic, then it all makes sense. Every behavior I had and still have that I could not explain would start to make sense. The missing puzzle piece. I'm sure both the condition and masking behavior cause a lot of anxiety. Knowing something is "unconventional" but not knowing how to fit in and why it's "unconventional" makes me so frustrated and hopeless. I get anxiety outbursts and don't know what is causing them. So I'm left feeling not only anxious, but also confused which fuels even more anxiety. It is hell and I'm sure this is contributing to my eczema.
Stress/anxiety cause increased levels of cortisol and histamine. Cortisol levels peak in the morning, which explains why I had days where I would wake up first thing in the morning and would be the itchiest all day. My stress/anxiety are so passive also, I would even experience a flareup when I speak to someone and I become energetic and my heart rate goes up, from getting up and walking after sitting down for a long time, surprises, etc... This can all cause me to feel an itch coming. It's easy to blame flareups on allergies (some allergies absolutely do cause flareups), but it's most definitely also a stress response which does increase histamine levels in the body, mimicking an allergic reaction.
My mom says the only way my skin will clear is by reducing my stress/anxiety. Because that's what helped her 20 years ago. Something as simple as Reiki. I know not everyone's eczema is caused by anxiety, but it most certainly is for my mom and I. She spent years on steroids and allergy shots, and the thing that really helped her is stress and anxiety relief. I swear the medical industry wants us to be sick and rely on medication when they fail to explore things like diet, stress, and sleep. Because all of these can cause inflammatory conditions! Obviously relaxation won't cure cancer or an infection or an allergic reaction or any other condition that requires immediate medical attention. But it can be so ant-inflammatory and can help reduce the symptoms of chronic inflammatory conditions.
It all makes sense now, the autism, the anxiety. Everything. Growing up being neurodivergent with PTSD and a narcissistic and abusive dad was so stressful and was hell. I'm not surprised why I got eczema. I feel like I healed most of my PTSD (just working on health and social anxiety, the latter being a challenge if I actually am autistic). But despite that I still feel like something is "off" with me till now, especially with all the anxiety. And I doubt it's the PTSD. So it's likely the autism. I'm going to meet with a psychiatrist to perform a screening.
I'm surprised my old therapist (who really was an idiot) could not notice these signs. When she told me I should do socialize and me not wanting to and her asking "why not? you should try". I got so defensive and said no. I'm surprised it flew over her head. But again she wasn't that good of a psychologist.
I'm glad I dedicated time learning about this. I know this will help me heal a lot. Especially physically and mentally.

I'm not from the US of A, lets start here, and I know you're not either, but since you're raising this topic...
While I see your point, here the thing is that for the world, including Palestine, Trump is worse, or in some issues just the same.
I mean, would Trump stop giving weapons or support to Israel? I'm not an expert, but I've been given the impression that this would not be the case at all.
I understand you don't want to reward an asshole. Biden is an asshole, no doubt.
However, this is the wrong approach to politics, I believe.
To put some comparison, politics is choosing medicine for your Cancer.
You can do chemotherapy. You know that shit will fuck your body. You'll feel bad. Some of the worst ones can even kill you. However, if you chose reiki and homoeopathy, that shit won't do anything for you and you'll end up very very dead. Or you can refuse to take anything and then you'll also end up dead. Doing chemo will not even guarantee that you will be cured, but for sure not doing it will make things worse, with whatever of the other two options that you choose.
Biden is an asshole Zionist. But the mindset that unless the remedy is perfect, without side effects, without making you feel bad, you reject the treatment, well, makes you dead.
In a perfect world you could vote for a perfect candidate and party. We're not in a perfect world, so you need to work with the tools at hand and do damage control and go with the less damage.
When the elections happen, there will be just these two valid options, Trump or Biden. Anything else is currently not ready or not an option.
Would it be better to have a better candidate and more options? Yes! So what you need to do is participate in politics, vote in primaries and promote change in how elections and representation work to achieve a situation where a) other political options and parties are valid options and b) where the candidates are good.
This applies to all countries and elections. You work towards better options and representation, but once elections happen, you need to work with the current framework to obtain the least bad outcome. Is it sad that we need to phrase it like that? Yeah. But it's stupid to ignore reality.
You vote, and you vote for the less bad that can give power to change or to less damage, because unless the system has some checks where not voting can achieve anything the only thing you'll get by not voting is happy conservatives.
And after voting you work to have better options. But during the vote the train has passed for that.
Trump will not only continue with Palestine 's massacres and other bullshit, he'll massacre other regions, he'll fuck up climate even more, he'll reduce Queer rights, he'll promote a dictatorship, etc.
Will Biden actually solve all these problems? Fuck no. But you're not given an option between good and bad. You're given bad and worse. You should choose bad before worse.
Purity has been the bane of leftists and the joy of conservatives and fascists since forever.
At the end of the day, ask yourself this question: will my voting decision make conservatives happy?
If the answer is "yes", that's the wrong decision.
I'm disgusted with what USA and the world is doing in Palestine, but rewarding the right for it(and make no mistake, not voting does that) will not solve the problem nor make it better at all.
vote blue no matter who guys love saying "trump would be even worse on palestine" but literally how could he possibly be worse than biden short of nuking the gaza strip. biden might be the single most zionist president in US history lol

Cure vol.222 - キズ Kizu Feature (January 2022)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interviewer: This is the cover story, so let’s dive in. Can you tell us about Kizu as a band? Tell me about the division of roles within the band.
Lime: Division of roles?!
Interviewer: You know, like a mood-maker or someone who organizes everyone’s opinions.
Lime: Honestly, we’re pretty lucky with the environment we have. The adults around us handle most of the non-musical stuff for us. All we have to do is create cool songs and perform cool live shows. But back when we didn’t have a manager, it was chaos—there was this one time when the back of the equipment van was left open, and our gear kept falling out along the way. If it were just the four of us, we wouldn’t even be able to handle transportation. And we couldn’t reach this many people or function as a business.
Yue: If it were just the four of us running the band, I’d probably end up being in charge of the blog. I mean, I’m the only one who updates it anyway!
Kyonosuke: Hmm, that’s difficult for me. I’m bad at expressing myself, so I’d probably just end up playing my instrument.
Reiki: It’d be great if Kyonos became our makeup artist.
Lime: I don’t think I want Kyonos touching my face.
Kyonosuke: That kinda hurts…
Interviewer: S-sorry about that…
Lime: Normally, you’d need a leader or at least someone handling communication, but we’re outcasts from society, so there's no way we could work within society's system.
Reiki: We never decided on any roles from the start. There’s no official leader or anything.
Interviewer: From the outside, it seems like Lime is the one deciding the direction of the band.
Lime: Even if I write the songs and lyrics, I don’t explain anything to the others. Honestly, there are times when they only find out what the songs are really about in interviews like this. We don’t really have discussions about our music. We don’t sit down and say, 'Let’s do this' or 'Let’s change that.' But somehow, it all just falls into place naturally. So if you ask me who's steering the ship, I honestly don’t know.
Interviewer: That’s amazing. It’s like telepathy.
Lime: You think? But honestly, I think we’re just the closest band out there, regardless of genre. Even during the pandemic, the four of us would just be on voice chat playing online games together all the time. To me, this band feels more like a school festival than a professional career.
Reiki: Before the pandemic, we used to just hang out at Lime’s house and have hot pot together.
Yue: But it’s not like we’re always eating together on tour or anything like that. It’s not the of obvious kind of closeness. It’s more like, there's something only the four of us understand.
Reiki: That's true. Everyone does what they want, when they want, and when the timing is right, we come together and create this incredible groove.
Interviewer: In other words, you all are on the same wavelength?
Lime: We’re not even trying to match it. The thing is, we’re not aiming to perform as one band. Each of us is doing our own live performance. In the past, people would say we seemed disjointed, like we lacked cohesion. But if you really want something cohesive, wouldn’t it be best to perform alone? For me, what makes a band cool is that lack of total unity. We’re all living our own lives separately too. But when we do align, the energy is explosive!
Interviewer: I see. So then, over the four and a half years since you formed, what’s the biggest thing that’s changed about Kizu?
Reiki: I think it’s that the band is no longer just ours. We’ve come to feel a real sense of responsibility in our day-to-day activities, and looking back, we were actually expected to deliver from the very beginning. Now, I feel like we’ve finally caught up to the name of the band.
Kyonosuke: I don't think anyone has changed fundamentally, but the way I think and my mental state have matured a lot. I can look at myself more objectively now and see that I’ve grown. I’m less desperate than I was in the early days. Whether it’s as a drummer or just as a person, I feel way more relaxed and settled.
Interviewer: Kyonosuke, since Kizu is your first band, there was a difference in experience between you and the other members. I imagine there was a lot of pressure when you first joined.
Kyonosuke: Yes. I had no confidence in myself and I was really negative.
Yue: But you had a raw quality in your drumming, and your drive to improve was obvious. You really wanted to get better, and I could see that from the start, so I always thought, this guy is going to grow a lot. And in reality, I could see those small improvements—like when you finally nailed a clean bass drum section. I made sure to always tell you.
Lime: If I’ve stopped getting mad at you, doesn’t that mean you’ve grown? Before, there were so many things that bothered me (laughs).
Kyonosuke: Well, it's true that I don’t get scolded anymore. But I do get hit.
Lime: Hey, what?!
Yue: Personally, I feel like I've come to understand what cool is intuitively. In the beginning, I’d question whether what I was doing was actually cool or not. But lately, even when I’m not really thinking about it during shows, people still tell me it's cool.
Reiki: I guess we were trying to look cool. In the old days.
Interviewer: So now you're just able to naturally bring out what you think is cool?
Yue: It’s not that we’re trying to bring out something cool… Okay, I’m about to say something really deep. Whatever we do—it’s already cool.
Lime: Are you drunk?! (laughs) But now that you mention it, yeah, I was creating a fake self. Trying to show off, acting tough, edgy and cocky. But now I feel that way from the bottom of my heart! Back then, for events with other bands or depending on the audience, I used to think, ‘Let’s present ourselves this way.’ But now—I honestly don’t care. When we’re invited to play, we just give everything we’ve got and leave. Nothing more, nothing less. That’s what makes a band cool to me.
Interviewer: That's a big change in mentality.
Lime: Well, everyone has changed. I mean, if you watch the Oshimai MV (1st single), we all look like kids. Kids!
Reiki: We were trying way too hard.
Lime: Yes. Even casual gestures seem fake. Just standing there should’ve been enough, but we were forcing ourselves to look cool—maybe because we lacked confidence. But why did we change? It's hard to answer if you ask me.
Interviewer: Would you say it’s just experience?
Lime: Actually, I don’t think it’s just that. Before starting to tour the country, we were doing solo shows in halls and venues like Zepp, so small venues don't really suit us! Even during the Nanajo tour in August and September, we were like, What should we do? I used to calculate a lot of things, and it's not like I don't calculate at all these days, but my approach to live performances and music has definitely changed.
Interviewer: Maybe your approach has become purer.
Lime: Ah, that might be true.
Interviewer: Earlier, Kyonosuke said that fundamentally, you guys haven’t changed. So, what exactly is that core?
Kyonosuke: It’s the love and belief in this genre and the desire to spread it. When I looked at the bands of my acquaintances and seniors, I saw them straying from the genre because they don't have confidence in it, or their tastes have changed, so I used to worry, 'If I start a band, will I also end up like that?' But now that I’m actually doing it, I realize… I haven’t changed at all. And I think other members haven’t either.
Reiki: Yeah, we really haven’t changed. When I started a band, I didn't think the genre was cool. So I wanted to make it cool myself, and I wanted to change everything. I hated the idea that visual kei has to be the way it is.
Yue: For me, it wasn’t really about spreading the genre, I just wanted to play in a band with people I liked. But if these guys are determined to make visual kei cool again—then I am ready to dedicate my entire life to it.
Kyonosuke: In the end, the core hasn’t changed—we just love music.
Lime: ………… Are you all dying tomorrow or something? Are you okay with the interview being like this? (laughs) But yeah, we all grew up admiring this genre. And now, we feel like we have to give something back. A lot of people didn’t do that, they just took—and then left. That’s why I think visual kei started to fade. So we want to go out into the world and show people that today's visual kei is pretty amazing!
Interviewer: Your one-man VISUAL at Shibuya Public Hall on January 8th is bound to be the perfect place to showcase that. By the time this magazine is out (interview was in December), the show will have already happened, but what kind of show do you think it will be?
Lime: Well, if I say too much now, it will be a spoiler for the three of you. To me, these three guys sitting here are fans too. If I can’t move them, there’s no way the audience will be moved. If it doesn’t get through to them, it won’t get through to anyone. The core idea hasn’t changed—we want to put on shows that move people emotionally, not just physically. We want to be the kind of band that touches hearts. And I think all four of us are always striving to leave a lasting impression.
Interviewer: Well, let’s talk about what’s coming next. At Shibuya Public Hall, you're also announcing future plans—like the men-only live on March 5th, the fan club-exclusive show on March 22nd, and the Zennippon Shironuri Kyoukai: Sakazuki event on April 18th, which will bring together artists who perform in white makeup.
Lime: We’re lucky that Kizu has a lot of male fans. When we did that men-only live with Arlequin and BugLug, the energy was insane! I thought, 'Are these guys always holding back this kind of passion when they come to our shows?' That realization hit me hard. So I wanted to create a space where they could fully let loose.
Yue: Yeah, that time I took off my shirt.
Lime: Right! I knew we put on an amazing live, but afterward, someone from the team said "It was great because Yue took off his shirt." And I was like, 'Wait… we worked really hard on that show, and THAT’S your takeaway?!' (laughs)
Interviewer: Probably because he seems like the one least likely to take his shirt off.
Lime: Yeah, we all knew Yue is muscular and has a great body, but he never really showed it off before. So I think people were just surprised.
Yue: Yeah, most people had no idea.
Lime: As for the FC-only show, I think it’ll feel a little warmer this time. When we did our first one in October, the performance ended up being a bit stiff. It wasn’t until afterward that I was like, Oh yeah, this was a fan club show... (laughs) So for the next one, I want it to be a bit warmer. When we’re in a happy mode, we’re literally grinning the whole time. (laughs) And the Shironuri event—I’ve been wanting to do that for ages! I reached out to the people I admired and thought were cool, and surprisingly, everyone just said yes without hesitation. I’m really grateful for that. I actually played a show with New Rote'ka back in high school in my hometown, Miyazaki. I was this brat skipping school to play live shows, and Acchan (Atsushi, vocalist) said something really memorable in the dressing room…
Interviewer: What did he say to you?
Lime: I can’t tell you that. (laughs) He probably doesn’t even remember, but his words really struck me back then. So, I’m just really happy we were able to put together this event now.
Reiki: Having artists like Inugami Circus-dan, people who have been part of this culture for so long—agree to perform, is really humbling.
Lime: Compared to the lineup, we’re total beginners when it comes to shironuri!
Interviewer: So, what was the original reason Kizu started doing shironuri in the first place?
Lime: When I first imagined starting a new band with Reiki, the first thing that came to my mind was light and subtle makeup and a pop-feel. But that wouldn't be any fun, and I wanted to betray everyone! On the contrary, the thing I couldn't imagine at all was wearing white makeup.
Interviewer: So, you wanted to betray yourself too.
Reiki: Ah, that’s good. That's it.
Yue: Well, I don’t do shironuri, though. (laughs)
Lime: That's right! Actually, back around Kawazu, we made this ridiculous statement like, “We’re graduating from shironuri!”—which made no sense. So we stopped for a bit. Yue has been the only one who’s stuck to that decision to this day. When we ditched shironuri, we felt so exposed, as if we were naked. So, we realized there was no escaping it and we went right back to it.
Kyonosuke: At the time I wanted to be popular, so I wanted to quit too. (laughs) But I was told, “You’re the one who absolutely can’t stop.” So yeah, I was the only one who kept shironuri the whole time!
Interviewer: I always had the impression you were totally into shironuri from the beginning, I didn’t realize you had those kinds of feelings too.
Kyonosuke: Oh, now I’m totally into it. Back then, I wasn’t fully comfortable expressing myself through it, so I felt a little conflicted. But now, I feel like I can become anything, so I actually love it. The idea of stopping doesn’t even cross my mind anymore. I’m way beyond that, it's part of who I am.
Lime: Since it’s a special shironuri event, I really want to see how everyone removes their makeup. Honestly, that’s the hardest part! Since it’s oil-based, washing your face normally just makes it smear everywhere. But it’s bad for your skin, so you want to get it off fast. When I first met Kyonos, his skin was so clear, but now it’s all messed up from wearing shironuri so much!
Kyonosuke: No, seriously, shironuri destroys your skin! The only good thing about the pandemic was that my skin got a chance to clear up. Since we’ll be performing with people who’ve been doing this for years, I’d love to get some tips from them.
Interviewer: And on May 14th, you’ll be holding a solo show at Nihon Seinenkan Hall.
Lime: We don’t know exactly what we’re going to do yet, but the mindset is always the same for every show.
Reiki: Curry and hayashi rice are basically the same thing. So the type of the event doesn’t matter!
Lime: You know what I’m really happy about? Just being able to say, “We’re doing a solo show.” Lately, even when a show was planned, we couldn’t announce it, and we had to keep postponing it. That was the saddest part. Even Shibuko (Shibuya Public Hall) was like that. Originally, we were supposed to perform there in January last year as part of the Jigoku single release. We even made towels with a ticket design that said “Valid until January 10” as a hint. But in the end, we couldn’t even announce the show, and a whole year passed…
Interviewer: So from the fans’ perspective, it was like, “Wait… what was that January 10th thing all about?”
Lime: Exactly! That’s why just being able to announce shows again makes me so happy. And now, we can actually see what's ahead. The moment we finished recording Strawberry Blue, which we released in December, I felt like, 'Yeah, we can do it.' So Shibuko is just a checkpoint. We want to be a band that can show something even more amazing after that. Also, Reiki-kun, what about you? Reiki-kun you’ve been quiet today—
Reiki: I just woke up! …But seriously, the reason visual kei isn't cool anymore is because the older generation—our seniors—were satisfied just benefiting from it and then they left. They had their fun and quit. That’s why, with what we’re doing now, I hope our juniors fulfill their own soul through this. And I hope the fans do too. That feeling of “I want to be like that bangyaru”—it doesn’t really exist anymore.
Lime: Yes. And we’ll keep evolving.
Reiki: And I want everyone else to evolve, too. People who love themselves are cool, so I want our fans to love themselves even more for loving visual kei. We want to create music and performances that make them feel that way.

1. If you want the benefits of relaxing and feeling safe and like things are gonna work WITHOUT the danger of chiropracty or acupuncture, consider reiki. They literally don't even have to touch you and when they do it's light.
2. Yeah this shit kills. Family member of mine is convinced that vitamin c can prevent and cure cancer and is taking 5 GRAMS per day as a result and has told me they would not pursue chemo if they got cancer because "the body has what it needs if you eat the right diet." My guy is gonna fucking die early because of snake oil salesmen like this, while giving himself kidney stones (which he confirmed already has). Wholeheartedly, FUCK Thomas Levy and everybody else who does this shit.
And if that name sounds familiar and you're wondering, "is that the guy who told people to nebulize hydrogen peroxide to prevent and treat Covid in 2021 when everyone was desperate for a cure, while admitting he had ZERO evidence that it worked? " Yup, same guy.
Not that anyone HAS to do chemo - medical decisions are your own of course - but people die regularly because they fall for shit like this, or they seek treatment too late.
Flipping through older books that attempt to legitimize Complementary and Alternative Medicine is so funny because you get to see the fads that didn't make the cut and have faded into obscurity.
Treat your ADD by pressing on your skull bones. Treat your constipation with massage. Treat your deep-rooted conflict with flower-specific homeopathy. ("Deep-rooted conflict is something that can be treated with medication" is also a hell of a take)

BOTAN SMILES MEEKLY at his joke before shaking her head. "No, nothing like that." She watches as the blood is pulled into the current, mixing until the waters glow red with it. She takes back the knife and picks up her ofuda. The kanji for cleanse is written across the paper in black.
"While I was in the archives, I read a story about a shaman dying of disease. In order to prolong his life, he used the souls of others to rejuvenate his own. Like recharging a battery. They would die in his place," she says quietly before hurriedly continuing "N-Not that that's what I'm going to do, I just-- the theory was interesting. I thought I could use part of his ritual. To give you more time. Like... dialysis of the soul. This-- shouldn't hurt. But it might feel strange."
Botan places the ofuda on the small island within the water's ring, she presses her fingertips against it to fuel it with her reiki before plunging the knife, now stained with both of their blood, through the center and into the ground. A second lapses before Botan feels a pulse, her ki surging. Her eyes glow and she sits up, back arched and her head tipped back. "Cleanse," she whispers, voice strained before her head suddenly snaps forward.
With a stronger pulse of energy, the water begins to flow faster, slowly rising up from the earth in a continuous loop. The blood absorbs within the water becomes clear. It seems to dance and spiral, eventually breaking from it's circle into one long stream arching through the air. It curls between them both before darting over Yusuke's shoulder and plunging into his back. The water, ethereal in nature, seems to pierce through his back and reemerge from the center of his chest without leaving a trace behind. As it exits, the water is blackened, as though thick with mud and ash, pulling the decay straight from his core.
Just as quick, it darts to Botan, piercing through the center of her chest in a way that makes her gasp for air. Despite it, she holds steady. She can feel the heat melting through her, like a burning lance. The grass around them begins to wither and die, spiraling out like falling dominoes until the entire space within her barrier is dead, the life siphoned out to strengthen her.
When the water emerges from her back, an almost immediate action that feels torturously long, it's clear and cooled, like an arctic stream. It move back toward Yusuke, recounting to form a continuous circle between them. The whole thing happens in a matter of seconds and continues on for a few minutes before finally the water turns from a river to a trickle and then finally nothing emerges from either of them.
Botan collapses forward, hand on her chest, the other on the ground in front of her. She sucks in a sharp breath and coughs, hoarse and crackling, black smoke puffs from her lips as if she'd swallowed a burning ember and the same sensation burns her throat. There's tears in the corners of her eyes and it takes several minutes for her to catch her breath. When she does, she looks toward Yusuke, panting.
"It's not a cure... All I did was filter it... the rot will start over so you have a few more days. My body will handle what I took but I don't think I can do it again..." Exhausted and uncomfortable, she lays down on the ground, curled in on herself.
Tumblr media
This is that witchcraft stuff he’s seen on TV. Now Botan was one to dabble in a little bit of hocus pocus here and there but THIS was different, now he’s to bare witness of just what she could do when it came to the more potent and darker spells. His eyes then gaze towards the bone blade. He reaches forward and touches it, quite a light blade for one. Now according to her instructions, he’s to inflict a cut unto himself and have his blood pour in with the mixture for this spell..waters from the Sanzu..talk about a big project.
Tumblr media
━━   ❝  𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈'𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜.   ❞  He spoke softly and drags the sharp edge along his flesh creating a small tear. The blood began to pour from his cut and he’d only stop once Botan had instructed. “Please, don’t tell me after this is done I’m gonna have t’ drink this…” EVENTHOUGH it’s not as if this curse had left him with any taste buds as it is. Once the nectar hits his lips and streams through his body he’d just taste..NOTHING, it’s as if he’s just eating or drinking nicotine at this point.

Cure Vol.217 - キズ(KIZU) Lime interview (Aug 2021)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interview by—Atsuhiko Kamiya
Lime: What was this interview about again?
Interviewer: It's an after-show interview, just three days after Jigokumon and two days after Jigokumon II. It's still pretty recent.
Lime: Oh yeah, that was just the other day. But I don’t remember anything. That’s all.
Interviewer: The purpose of an interview right after—
Lime: Where do I start? Well, one thing I know for sure is that my neck hurts (laughs).
Interviewer: Because of infection prevention measures, it was a no-voice live show.
Lime: Yeah, I kind of thought, ‘When the curtain goes up, I'll just go,’ and hadn’t prepared anything. To be honest, I wasn’t used to the no-voice rule. Yue and I were talking about it, and I gave him this comparison: it’s like cooking for someone you love, but they can’t say it’s delicious. We’re up there, putting everything we have into singing and playing, trying to convey something, but the audience is ignoring us. Not that they wanted to ignore us, of course.
Interviewer: It’s a situation where fans want to respond, but can’t.
Lime: Yeah, that’s why Reiki and I were saying, ‘An encore might be tough this time.’ Normally, as a live show goes on, the energy in the venue builds up, right? But this time, it was hard for that energy to rise. It might’ve been my first time experiencing that. I was so unfamiliar with it.
Interviewer: Still, both on the first and second day, there ended up being encores.
Lime: We had a serious talk about it. The people who came knew ahead of time that they wouldn’t be able to use their voices, right? So we thought, ‘Maybe just the fact that we’re right in front of them is enough.’ If simply being there can save someone, then we should just be there, you know?
Interviewer: So whether there are voices or not really changes a live performance.
Lime: I knew that a live show isn’t something the band creates alone. But I never realized just how much of an impact the audience’s voices have. Without call-and-response, I was shocked at how much my own energy dropped. I always see it as my job to hype up the other members first, but I just couldn’t. I can’t lift everyone’s spirits by myself. Voices really are crucial. I can’t wait to do a live show where people can actually shout again.
Interviewer: All you had was applause, right?
Lime: Yeah, we got a lifetime’s worth of applause. Even the encore felt like some kind of ceremony (laughs). Oh, and speaking of the second day, I messed up the setlist—did you notice? The original flow was supposed to be Jusei → Heisei → Kuroi Ame, but I skipped Heisei and went straight to Human Error. Then, when the stage went dark, I was thinking, ‘Guess I’ll grab some water,’ when Kyonosuke looked at me and said, ‘We didn’t do Heisei, what do we do?’ Thats when I realized. So yeah, that's what we were whispering about.
Interviewer: I did notice you were talking about something, but I didn’t realize that’s what it was.
Lime: Yue was just grinning the whole time. (laughs) He loves it when I mess up. But you know, those little mistakes can help lighten the mood. We change up the setlist depending on the day anyway.
Interviewer: The setlist changed quite a bit over the two days.
Lime: The performance certainly changes depending on which songs we choose, but in the end, a setlist is just song order. I’ve never really cared whether a song is placed at the beginning or the end. But you know, I’ve started to realize that sometimes my feelings and the fans’ feelings don’t quite match up. There are moments where I’m thinking, ‘This song really gets me hyped!’ but the audience doesn’t seem to feel the same way. But of course, it's not about who's right or wrong.
Interviewer: In this case, were songs like Milk or Mr. BiG MONSTER the ones that hype you up?
Lime: Nope. Jusei is what gets me hyped. Also 15.2 and Heisei.
Interviewer: What exactly does ‘getting hyped’ feel like for you?
Lime: It’s that feeling where emotions take over and you just want to yell ‘WAAAH!’ and start thrashing around. People might not really notice, but Kizu’s ballads don’t follow the usual ‘ballad-style’ performance. Normally, ballads are supposed to be quiet and calm, right? But Kizu’s ballads aren’t like that at all. With our ballads, it's because they're emotional that I end up moving my body more.
Interviewer: I don’t think I’ve seen anyone yelling and thrashing around during Jusei just yet.
Lime: I want to go wild during Jusei the most! That beat is the best. So when I see people just standing there watching blankly, I’m like, ‘Seriously? I’m going crazy up here,’ and in those moments, I start feeling kinda lonely.
Interviewer: Maybe more people will start thinking, ‘Let’s go wild during ballads too!’ after reading this.
Lime: That would be great. When I see people moving their bodies and getting into the rhythm, it makes me really happy. It tells me that they're really feeling it. There are some people who have an insanely cool way of moving to the music. Usually, headbanging starts from the neck, right? But some people move from their shoulders instead. Not sure if I’m explaining this well. (laughs) It’s mostly guys who do that, I think.
Interviewer: There were a lot of male fans this time too, weren’t there?
Lime: Yeah, I think the number of male fans has increased. I saw a bunch of them right in front of me. But men probably feel a little self-conscious when they’re surrounded by women. It made me think, ‘I’d love to do a men-only live show sometime.’ I really want to break the stereotype that visual kei is only for women or young people. Visual kei isn’t just for people who already love visual kei. I’d love for Kizu to be the catalyst for change. I want to create an era where people see visual kei as something insanely cool again.
Interviewer: Music is something that should be enjoyed regardless of gender or age.
Lime: Now that I think about it, I’ve also noticed that at Kizu’s shows, more people have started raising their hands and getting into the rhythm. You don’t see that much with visual kei bands. I love that the ‘raising your hands’ culture has just naturally made its way into our shows. Live houses are supposed to be spaces of freedom. But they don’t feel so free these days, right? I miss the time when there were no rules, and for the duration of the show—we alone were the only justice. These days, with all the restrictions, it feels like live houses aren’t ours anymore.
Interviewer: You want to get back that freedom.
Lime: I say all this, but honestly, I’m just grateful that people come at all. That’s why, even though the fans could only clap, we still went out for the encore thinking, ‘Us being here in front of them is the right thing to do.’ Speaking of encores, did you feel something off about the second day’s encore?
Interviewer: Was it that there were more songs than usual?
Lime: Who ends an encore with Yume? Like, does that really get you hyped? I wonder if anyone in the audience noticed this. Personally, I’d never put Yume in an encore.
Interviewer: Was there a reason behind it?
Lime: There’s a little behind-the-scenes story. Day 2 was actually our manager’s last day with us. So for the double encore, we lined up the songs they liked. That’s why it went from getting pumped with Henohenomoheji, to calming down with Yume, to then ending with Tokyo—and an indescribable atmosphere. So, because of this we ended up with this weird double encore (laughs).
Interviewer: So that's the story behind it.
Lime: It was the least we could do to thank them. Staff are incredibly important to a band. They’d been with us since right around the time Kizu first started. Maybe we were too selfish and wore them out (laughs). But it’s because we were so picky and stubborn that we are able to hold onto our vision. Oh, and—did you notice something else?
Interviewer: Lots of mysteries to solve today!
Lime: Alright, I’ll just tell you. (laughs) One thing I was really concerned about was whether my voice would hold up for two full days. Kizu had never done two back-to-back shows with such setlists before. I sing at the very edge of the male vocal range. Even though I can hit the high notes, it’s a huge strain. It burns out my throat. That was one of the reasons I wanted to actually sing this time.
Interviewer: So there was more to your decision to focus on singing.
Lime: This kind of live show doesn’t allow for much physical movement. So I thought, ‘Maybe a show where people enjoy it with just their ears is okay too.’ I was planning on playing guitar, but I decided to focus entirely on singing instead. Obviously, when you’re just singing and not playing guitar at the same time, you can sing way better. You can also adjust the mic distance more easily.
Interviewer: Before, you said that holding a guitar helped you keep just the right amount of focus on singing.
Lime: Yeah, but this time, I put all my focus on the singing. And honestly, it felt really good to sing like that.
Interviewer: Was there anything the band as a whole was worried about?
Lime: We don't talk about things that magazines expect.
Interviewer: What kind of expectations are those? (laughs)
Lime: We only talk about silly things (laughs). We don’t talk about the band. Maybe just about games. But even though we don't talk, I can tell. Like, when I look at Reiki’s expression, I can tell—‘Ah, he wasn’t fully satisfied with that.’ And then, he’ll fix it in the most impressive way. Normally, you’d expect band members to say things like, ‘Hey, maybe you should try doing it like this?’ But we don’t do that. Sure, we exchange opinions, but we never give advice. Because before anything is even said, they have already made improvements on their own. And when the rest of us notice the change, we just naturally start adjusting to it. That’s why we never need to have ‘band discussions.’ We don't have any demands or complaints about each other.
Interviewer: From the outside, Kizu might look like a band that has a lot of tension or sparks flying between members.
Lime: Man, that kind of ‘sparks flying’ image is so cool. I admire bands that only communicate through their manager. (laughs) But I don’t want to clash over something I love—like music or the band itself. That’s why it’s fun. We’ve never had any big fights or clashed over music. Unfortunately, the four of us just play Smash Bros together (laughs).
Interviewer: Now I’m imagining a high school clubroom (laughs).
Lime: We talk on Discord, at home, almost every day anyway, so there’s really nothing we need to sit down and formally talk about (laughs). Right now, we’re having the most fun we’ve ever had—like a student band. This is the kind of band I always wanted to be in. That’s all (laughs)
Interviewer: We can’t end on just ‘it's fun!’
Lime: But really, those two days were fun. The dressing room, the studio, everything was fun. I was happy. The photographer took a ton of pictures of us backstage, but we were just messing around the whole time. Apparently, it’s impossible to get serious behind-the-scenes shots of us. The other day, they told me, ‘You guys only start looking serious about 15 seconds before the show starts. That’s when we'll take the pictures.’ (laughs)
Interviewer: So unlike the mood of the songs, you’re relaxed right up to the last moment.
Lime: Deep down, who we are as people, is exactly like our songs and lyrics. But If we stayed like those characters in the songs all the time, we would already be dead. It’s the same with our shows. You don’t have to take Jigokumon at face value. For us, the show was about ‘just being there in front of you is what’s right.’ That’s it. It didn’t matter if we sang or played our instruments, just standing there was enough. When you get this silent, devoted applause from the audience... anyone would start saying softhearted stuff. I don’t know how to end this interview. (laughs)
Interviewer: Next up is Nanajo.
Lime: Ah, here it is, the classic closing question (laughs). It’s a problem when people take live shows for granted, as if they’ll always be there. We always perform at the edge, pushing ourselves to the limit. But don’t worry. I think both we and the fans were still figuring things out during the two-day shows. That’s why I want to find a way to enjoy our live performances together during Nanajo.
Interviewer: Even with restrictions, live shows can still be enjoyable, right?
Lime: Applause is part of that. It’s a ritual that everyone created together. Also, after this tour, I will write new songs. I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ll feel during Nanajo. The way we create live shows together and the environment of the live house directly influences my lyrics and activities. It’s exciting.
