Also, people will hate whirlpool but turn a blind eye and fawn over scarlet even tho scarlet LITERALLY said in the books that she groomed peril and planned to groom cliff. In fact, if I remember correctly (correct me if I'm wrong) she literally USED the word groom. Not to mention she had a FETISHI (YES, FETISH, THEY SAY FETISH IN THE BOOKS) for forcing dragons to kill each other....

Basically, whirlpool is a conniving , evil guy. A great villain, one of my favourite villains in the series, but he's not a pedophile. He didn't actively seek out dragonets to groom.
