Interesting 🤔

My former colleague who got fired texted me out of the blue. I was hoping not to hear from her anymore since our last text (which was about a few weeks ago) 😑

She acted weird and sour about the whole situation in the beginning and took it out on me instead of the company lol

She texted me randomly as if I was her daily journal.

“let me guess, who stole my position??”

“I’m gonna sue the company for discrimination”

“I bet he/she is sitting at my station”

“tell me, who replaced me?”

“So, who stole my $xxx.xx a week job where I was the sole provider for my family?”

I’m just looking at her random texts going “uhh…..” and never responded back coz seriously, I didn’t know what to tell her!

I ended up telling her that I can’t help her and she would need to reach out to HR herself and ask. I told her best wishes.

She never replied back so thought she moved on, thank God!

But here I am with another text from her 😂

This time was a normal text. She told me to feel free to use her stuff she left at her work station then told me that she’s getting unemployment then lastly added “I hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday”

Wow 😳 for the first time she greeted me with holiday wishes. The past year she was never the one to initiate conversations or any type of heartfelt greetings. I remember her as someone with just full of negative energy 😅

Anyway, guess what? I didn’t respond back lol

I ought to stay away from someone like her for my own safety reasons lol tbh, she’s got some psychopath vibes.

I want to be accepting towards her but there are some people who will never learn and grow from their mistakes.

I’ve observed her for the past years and I know that she’s got some mental issues and I am definitely not the one to help her ✌️

I should really start organizing this topic of her.

Anyone who came across my post might think I sound so cruel and mean towards my former colleague haha 😂

So..I was going to just ignore my former colleague BP’s text and block her but I personally don’t think giving the silent treatment is a good idea because it seemed like she has been ruminating about “why” she got fired for the last couple of weeks.

(She texted “So, who replaced me? Who stole my job?”)

Some times it is not easy to deal with awkward situations and we all have tendencies of avoiding them. I believe what she has been ruminating about was she was let go due to an unfair situation 🙄.

She believes that the manager was prioritizing his acquaintances/referrals and found someone else to replace her and she got let go because of that. Which I don’t think is the case.

I replied back “There is no replacement. If this is bothering you, you should contact HR/Employer about this matter. I am not able to provide any further details because I have no idea what’s going on either. I hope you stay safe, peace” I hope she got that relief and stop bothering me about it.

We all go through crap and unfair treatment at work! It’s just part of life and some times we just gotta suck it up although it’s easier said than done. What I mean is, we can’t throw tantrums or show emotions at work just because we feel xyz. If you don’t like the job then there are many options to make it better.

1. Gain power/leverage

2. Discuss it with your manager

3. Tell HR

4. Leave the company

I believe she never took any of those steps. I only remember her as being angry, spiteful and rude especially depending on her mood.

In one words, she was not a great team member.

One time our warehouse manager asked if any of us drink coffee because he refilled the creamer. He made an eye contact with BP and BP snapped at him “I don’t drink coffee 😑” I was like “…….😅😅😅”

Now, this is nothing compared to the extreme ones that she has done at work lol

Slamming the door, throwing objects on her work desk, ignoring colleagues when they greet her, everyone remembers her as this “angry” person.

I haven’t got to the extreme ones yet. Not yet. 😂

One of the extreme ones is that she threw a box lid across the office…I think I was the only one who witnessed it. She was mad because our manager pointed out some of these errors that she made on this project. He said it nicely too but to her this is already giving her a “bad day” 😂

She walked over and was like “I’m not having the best day 🤬” I’m thinking to myself “um…I’ve gone thru worse than that……”

It seems like she isn’t able to move on from this job. Maybe because she has been dismissed by the company and have no control over it.

While I understand her frustration about this she truly needs to self reflect on herself. The sad part is I don’t think she knows what self reflection is lol

I’m not saying that I’m better than her but she’s bothering me about her situation and rubbing it on me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be posting about this stuff. I needed a place to vent. 🫢

Oh and like I already said, she has been saying “I fuckin hate this job” in the mornings 😂 now she’s so mad and spiteful that she lost her job 🤷
