This is great, but they needed to have done this with modders that add "gameplay," as EA (TS4) is already up to their necks in tables and chairs. The game needs core advancements. Modders are making the game deeper with better/added animations, relationship systems and memories. I'm not ungrateful that cc creators are being recognized. I'm sure this makes cc creators very happy. But putting cc into the game is not going to save it. Having MORE items in the game (whether made by EA or cc creators) is not addressing the issues with the game, 6 years running. But I do think this will make a lot of cc creators happy, those that got recognized and now those that will chase this carrot for next time. I DO recognize each of those cc creators. Which also proves I didn't need EA's platform to appreciate them. I already loved them before EA did. EA could have given us this in a patch at anytime and again later at anytime. Let's hope on the next "anniversary" they do their OWN homework and give us things we've been complaining for, things that were missing from the game. Would have been even nice if they patched in bicycles for all ages, but I'm not even gonna go down that rabbit hole. Thank you again to the cc creators. I've ALWAYS recognized you and appreciated you.

Maxis has released a community blog highlighting today’s Sims 4 Game Patch.

As of February 4, The Sims™ is officially 21 years old (wow!). Sure, we’re remembering 21 years of reticulating splines and WooHooing, of missing pool ladders and neighbors who just walk into your house. But it’s not just about us. It’s about you, our community. You make this game what it is today—sometimes literally—and so, as we celebrate our birthday, we’re also celebrating you!

This year, nine creators from The Sims community pitched in to share their talents in honor of the occasion. Starting now, you can unwrap 21 new presents in The Sims 4*, designed by your fellow players!

My love for the Sims 4 started back in 2019 when re-watching Dan and Phil’s gaming channel and then later discovering Clare Siobhan’s dreamhouse series. Watching them inspired me to buy the game and create my own sim family for the first time. I don't know about you, maybe it's because I was sick yesterday and went a week without playing due to power outages, but I'm kinda over it with The Sims 4. Maybe I will feel differently tomorrow...we'll see.
