Seeing people still being weird about cinema.... girl it's been 17 years since it came out. Move On!!

#the funniest aspect is they keep acting like han was stripped of HMH and that he was the only member who had a solo song that was #special to him or something so they 'stole' it from him to give to fake gay lee know and seungmin #and it makes me laugh bc firstly han directly said he wanted to do a song with felix so 🫢#but everyones just ignoring that as we are was just as special a song for seungmin?? he said in that interview its probably his special son #for the whole of his 20s he put a lot of love into it?#he was the one who carried his guitar around the stage when it was the final stage holding it #and everyone thought he was being funny until it occurred those were the last concerts the solos were performed at #and he was saying his little farewell to his guitar bc he loves that song so this thought is just funny #like yeah only han loved his solo song. seungmin totally didnt love his just as much #so its just like babe if you are sad about the solos i sympathize but being a mental case about seungmin ruining everything....#how is he to blame?? like actually seungmin isnt responsible at all #he literally i think had more of an attachment to his song than anything and yet #its so funny too bc seungmin girls were upset about not getting to see as we are but they didnt try to blame felix and han lmao #like just admit you are angry lee know and seungmin run into rainbow confetti and have a sentimental song together #and what a stupid thing to be upset about lmao #and its all because of the hmh/youth stage transition like they dont even care about the song bc seungmin wouldnt come up if that was it #seungmins not in charge...#oh wait no hes the secret boss and he stole lee know for a duet and ruined everything. sorry. i forgot hes evil.

◈ Back when music meant iTunes and a folder of MP3s, I had a bunch of smart playlists that divvied up my music library by the year the songs were released. When I signed up with Spotify, I used some tool to try and migrate all my stuff from iTunes and it was mostly not good, but a few of the released playlists made it over. And then I forgot all about them for a half dozen years. Because streaming.

Anyhow, I finished Warbreaker at the beginning of the week (it was mostly good, I'll venture into other Brandon Sanderson in the future) and didn't have another book lined up, so I went trawling through Spotify and found these ancient playlists. Mosquitos in amber. And so I've spent the back half of the week revisiting curated tunes from 2014-2016.

The connection between music and memories is wild. 🎧

◈ It was barely drizzling for most of today's lunchtime walk but I'm Californian. I'll melt. ☔

◈ My biggest hesitation about booking a trip out to Richmond in February was the potential for Winter. I don't love dealing with slippery roads at the best of times, less so in a rental car in an unfamiliar city. Last week the long range forecast had like 3.8" of snow and freezing temperatures next Wednesday (when I arrive and have to drive across town at night). Now they're saying just loads of rain and temps mostly above freezing, so I think I'll survive. Probably. Unless I melt. ❄️

◈ I installed TurboTax and plugged in a bunch of preliminary numbers and now I'm very sad. And very broke. Here's to hoping things shake out differently once the final final numbers are ready. 🤞

◈ Somehow I got 9 hours and 13 minutes of sleep last night? If I could figure out how that happened—and repeat it—I think I'd be like 3 steps away from unstoppable. 🛌
