Reborn ~ Zane Ro’Meave

This is Mystreet/Mcd stuff! Literally just popped into my head, and I love it! Short little Minific involving MCD Zane and Mystreet Zane.  Enjoy! 

"Zane . . . . how come Ghost is scared of you now?" Kim stared at Zane her eyes wide in fear from where she had collapsed on the floor "Why is  . . .why is she saying Kenmur?"

Zane stood shocked before he finally sighed deeply looking down sitting in a chair. "I guess I didn't fool her . . . ." He shook his head looking back up everyone was shocked when Zane's eyes were a bright ruby red. "Truth is . . . .I wasn't always your Zane . . . sure I was reborn . . . grew up but . . . . that's not my beginning"

"Zane?" Garroths voice was small "Tell me . . . . tell me it isn't true . . . .your my brother . . . aren't you?" he stared at him and sadness filled Zane's eyes

"I'm sorry Garroth . . . i wish I could say it isn't . . .. but I'm still your brother . . . your parents are still mine . . . . " He said softly "As far as I know I'm the only one . . . . but in the era I was first born . . . I had the same brother Garroth . . . . " He gave a faint smile looking down "I was  . . . bad though"

"What . . .w-what do you mean bad?" Kim's voice was shaky and tears were forming in her eyes "What did you do to ghost!"

" . . . . I was . . . . I was a horrible person then . . . " Zane swallowed hard keeping his gaze on the floor " . . . .I-I murdered people . . . and I was hurt so young . . . . it corrupted me . . . and turned me into a monster of a person . . . "

" . . . . But  . . . .  you wouldn't do that" Garroth's voice was hushed as he stared at him "You may have been horrible in high school to people but you wouldn't hurt anyone . . . "

"Your wrong Garroth . . . .I-I hurt a lot of people . . . including my brother then . . .e-even my younger brother" Zane shuddered "I even begged to be a monster . . . a shadow knight"

"Shadow knight . . . . shadow knights are a myth . . . . they don't exist . . . no one has ever found proof other than in folk lore" Lucinda said slowly staring at him

"I beg to differ" Zane chuckled darkly looking up his red eye making her press her lips in a frown. " . . . .  Shadow knights were creatures of darkness . . . .I was immortal . . . unless someone killed me with a blade or magic strong enough to kill a knight"

"Then how were you reborn?" Garroth snapped "You should have been dead!"

Zane flinched at the anger in his voice, but he couldn't say he didn't blame him " . . . . I should have . . . I don't know who gave me a second chance . . . . but they did . . . .they healed my soul and took away the darkness in my heart . . . .Even my powers“ Zane sighed the red in his eyes fading

 ” . . . You said you were a murderer! Who would give you a second chance!“ Garroth growled angrily baring werewolf fangs at him

 ” . . . .I don’t know . . . But I wish I did because they gave me back my family“ Zane said softly looking up at him ” . . . .Emmalyn . . . You should speak“ he looked expectantly at Kim.

“H-How did you know her name?” She whispered

Zane smiled “Please tell her . . . She can speak . . . I want to talk to her now that I’ve figured out who she is . . . ”

“Go ahead Kim . . . ” Lucinda said slowly staring at Zane. Kim closed her eyes before they flew open a deep sadness and hatred in them, shining grey instead of green.

“YOU! YOU KILLED HIM!” Ghost shrieked at Zane tears falling down her cheeks “YOU . . .  you killed my Kenmur . . . ”

“ . . . . And you will never know how much I regret it Emmalyn . . . I spent years drifting . . . Alone in this soft light . . . Healing me . . . . And when I was finally healed I wished I was dead” Zane whispered looking down in guilt “ . . . .I wished I was dead for all the . . . All hurt and . . And harm I caused . . . ”

“You killed me . . . ” Emmalyn whispered “You killed me I remember . . . . You were leaning over me  . . . . And everything went grey. . . ”

“I never killed you . . . . .” Zane shook his head wiping away tears the sight making Garroth go stiff “ . . . .You ran off . . . I had you hostage . . . . It was snowing and I tried to find you . . . . It was too late when I did . . . ”

“ . . . .Then why aren’t you . . . Why didn’t you try to kill everyone again?” Garroth said staring at him with his eyes narrowed

“ . . . Because . . . I was healed in more than my wounds . . .All the hurt and corruption that made me a monster was gone . . . I’d always had a cold exterior . . . But I wasn’t a monster anymore . . .I grew up normal . . . Realized who I was . . . And decided to live on . . . ” Zane sighed

“ . . . . So you managed to become someone better” Lucinda said softly

“ . . . .I became the person I should have always been” Zane muttered “ . . . All of you are familiar faces . . . Aphmau was the Lord of phoenix drop . . . Garroth her loyal Guard . . . .Laurence her shadow knight who sacrificed his humanity for her . . . Lucinda the witch and lord of Piccolo . . . . Aaron . . . . Aaron who killed himself to stop me”

“Vylad was our younger brother . . . ?” Garroth whispered “ . . . You killed Vylad didn’t you?”

“I will never blame his death on me . .” Zane spat looking up “ . . . Vylad would agree if he were here . . . That was never on me . . . But our father. . . ”

“How . . . How old  . . . Who were you?” Garroth breathed staring at him

Zane gave a deep chuckle standing up giving him a smile “I was Lord and High priest Zane . . . The Shadow knight rouge who killed any who got in his path . . . . I’m over a thousand years old I suppose . . . .  but now I’m Zane ro’maeve the knight who got a second chance”
