About the queerbaiting video I actually I'm certain it's not baiting with Kinjo at least, like I genuinely don't know how else is one supposed to read it, as. In my personal experience writing, sometimes you write a character and mid it, you notice it's like "wait a minute. what. theyre so homosexual- this was not the intention I meant them to be straight or aroace or whatever", you just can't not notice, you notice eventually sooner or later. And one can correct it, go "okey this was not intention" or super double down on it and go "fuck it, part of the character" And Kinjo is just—I really don't know how else is someone supposed to read it. Zero dating experience (confirmed bachelor sounding shit, I'm sorry), only close relationships with others guys (any other relationship he has with a woman is him telling 'em to kys, neutrality, or the girl being five minutes away from killing him with righteous reasons), that stupid fucking final fte I hate (/lh), the general bond with Yuki through the whole game. And SDRA2,,, like. With Soruko, at least, there's those like two times Sora tells Yoruko shes like a sister to her or something, and now that feels more like "oops made them too lesbians, fixing it". But Kinjo?? Guy appears, acts awful as always, FUCKING MIKADO AKNOWLEDGES IT (as a joke) and then the game just doubles down on how fucking gay Kinjo is later in the trial. There's never "you're like a brother to me" something like that, no. Linuj knew and doubled down. How else is one supposed to read him????
hhhhdgggggwhdhd for me it’s like… i want to believe creator intentionally wrote that, but im far too jaded from various media queerbaiting to the point where i usually default to the ‘intended as bros’ explanation. AND DONT GET ME WRONG I LOVE KINJOMAE. But there’s very little aside from mikado’s joke that points to explicit romantic feelings on kinjo’s part aside from… Vibes. And certain nondescript Vibes are undeniable. But me as a lesbian is like… am I picking up on the correct vibe, or is this bias here cus i really just wanna see cute gays?
In the FTEs it’s expressly platonic (compared to the romantic commentary Yuki gives in the girls), Yuki’s Kinjo apologism seems like a reflection of linuj/general danganronpa 2014 sympathizing with the morally dubious characters type dynamic, etc… the ‘there is no heterosexual explanation’ moments are far fewer than something like soruko, even if it wasn’t expressly discredited in canon
Idk. My sad skeptic heart may be broken. If they blush at each other or get anywhere else that couldn’t be described as friendship then i will begin to believe again
And until then I will furiously write Kinjomae while killing the author
(THIS ISNT MEANT TO SHIT ON ANYONES HEADCANONS BTW. I CAN TOTALLY SEE IT. I HC TSURUGI AS GAY TOO ️ i personally just default to the unfortunate base assumption that it was unintentional)

No need to publish but since you mentioned the disturbing amount of likes F stuff gets--I've now seen SO MANY video compilations of him in Louis' tags and the worst part is having been around for years I know that half the pics are either not F or not even Louis 😬 I see no difference between these "fans" and the ones that relate everything to H. It's depressing that his team isn't interested in fostering a fan base outside of the loonies.
It's really disturbing to see the obsession ngl. And it's not only fans. Just a few days ago, i saw a PEOPLE's article about Freddie's recent pic and i'm like wtf? I don't know if they ever wrote ONE article about a louis music release but just randomly writing a whole ass article about a child? It's so so weird. And i hate larries and babygaters for igniting this obsession amongst fans. If babygaters didn't exist, i don't think we would have this amount of posts or even accounts that work as Freddie's ua. In one hand we have the freaks who allow themselves not only to believe but to fucking post their proofs how Freddie isn't Louis' son daily (just imagine someone coming to you and saying you're not your parents' son/ daughter and i won't believe it until i see your birth certificate. Like seriously who tf they think they are). I still don't know what they think they're achieving with that, even if you think he isn't his child, holding that against him and always threatening to boycott his projects if you see the kid (which never works btw 💀) and hating on a kid daily is just disgusting and (bc i know that's what they care about) frankly useless. No one with a working braincell will ever believe a single word from crazy people like larries (i came back to Twitter the last couple of days and they're honestly truly schizophrenic there's no other explanation to the utter and complete dissociation in their thinking). They don't even think on how it reflects on louis, to have them as fans. I can't tell you how many irl friends became fans of louis after fitf but were so so put off by larries, they chose to remain casual fans only. On the other hand, we have some fans who work a little too hard to prove larries wrong. They hold on too strong to Louis' heterosexuality and fatherhood as a got you moment for larries. Totally ignoring how weird it it to keep posting a child's face. PS: A lot of the likes for Freddie's posts come from hrries who cling to that (and Louis' Larry denials ) as proof that larry isn't real since their fav didn't really give them a firm denial to shut larries up. I think louis is too talented to have a fandom like this. I always thought that his discography is too good to be included in this circus. Someone like him should've had a carrer trajectory similar to some of the top actors'. Drama free, promote his projects when the time comes, charms everyone with his wit and sense of humor then disappears until the next masterpiece drops. Unfortunately, he was sabotaged for too long and his current team is so useless, non creative and non ambitious it really is depressing. Even the big side projects if you will (afhf, aotv, lfl...) were all louis' ideas and made reality out of sheer will and determination from him. I will never forget in the afhf documentary where HE was the one telling Matt that the festival will happen and the logistics will be figured out and insisting so that the lazy man gets on with it and does his job. Like you're his MANAGER and not only you have zero useful ideas to promote him but also act like you're doing him a huge favor (against your will just so you could shut him up) when he asks you to do something that is in reality your job. His label is also useless (no radio, no playlisting). Hoping LT3 will have a better promo cycle (i'm a clown i know) and some miracle happens so we can get rid of larries, they're so harmful to his career and replace them with new healthy normal fans

I also joined after bi Buck and I also get the sense that I'm watching a different show than half the fans - and I think that about the fans that were jumping on BuckT/ommy endgame after two episodes (just absurd) and those who love Eddie but think anything bad happening to him is a punishment. The set-up for Buddie seems extremely obvious to me once I tune out the fandom noise. They're not switching from a queer Eddie plot to a queer Buck plot that quickly if there weren't plans for both of them. Eddie being compared directly to Tommy multiple times was not an accident, neither was Eddie being all over the coming out plot, Maddie's bonkers "if there's something you need to tell Eddie" line, Tommy not wearing a costume while Buddie are matching (pure romcom shit), Eddie not wanting to fuck either of his female love interests (like he says it out loud not subtext), Buddie being presented as a family unit with Chris right from episode one, them being joined at the hip all season - I could go on. Them unpacking Eddie's delusions about his relationship with Shannon could not come at a better time. Yeah there was a PR shift after 706 but if they had really shut it down, they wouldn't be allowed to ask about it in interviews at all. And Oliver being so emphatic about not wanting to bait and being a Buddie warrior all season also speaks volumes. It's a soap opera, let it cook.
Here I thought I would regret allowing anons after such a long break without them, but I digress—thank you. I've grown so frustrated by the Eddie fans who've spent the past couple weeks arguing that he's being punished by the narrative. Like I fundamentally disagree and cannot really understand how they got there. I get having doubts or concerns about how everything might get resolved next season, but the complete write-off is just insane to me. Just listening to (or, rather, reading) Ryan's answers shows how much care and pride he has for Eddie's storyline. There is a lot of thought behind Tim Minear's intentions and the choice to do the Vertigo homage. At no point does the show asks us to laugh at Eddie. Frankly that's just all audience projection because the show was asking, no, outright begging us to empathize with him. Eddie is terrified of living for himself and prioritizing his emotional needs, especially now that Christopher's growing up and becoming more independent. It makes sense that Eddie, the character that we've seen over the course of six seasons, retreat to a fantasy. Even though neither he nor Shannon happy, their marriage was the only time he feels like he provided Christopher everything. Like everything else you pointed out is also completely true. The season open and closed with Eddie asking Buck for his assistance, which I cannot stress enough, he'd never directly asked of Ana or Marisol. The Tommy of it all. Literally the only reason he isn't getting the filler girlfriend treatment from this fandom is that he's white man. Maddie's baffling reactions, lol.
Like the PR shift can even be explained because I don't think LFJ was supposed to say this:
My friend and I go back and forth by the meaning of "that fell through," but either way, it's still been very clear that dragging Edmundo "Eddie" Díaz out the closet is still very much in the works for 9-1-1 now on ABC. There's zero explanation for Eddie's current storyline, they're capitalizing on some things that had been set into motion last season when he started his Shannon idealization while still only connecting her to motherhood. Oliver gets a lot of attention for being a Buddie Warrior, but lol Ryan Guzman is right there with him. The only difference is that he clearly got coached because even when he calls Eddie heterosexual, he's still answering with enough fluidity that creates doublespeak and causes doubt. Every single interview Ryan has done post midseason hiatus is the most circular bullshit I have ever read or listened to, but for whatever reason that shit is given more respect than him openly saying this after 705.

Basically, long story short, I AGREE thank you for giving me this platform to be insane, I wish I had turned it back on earlier lol.
#to whom it may concern#911 abc#buddie#trying to maintain a tagging system that I started when I was unmedicated and more fixated lol I should give up#it's the Wild West now#this is a post about eddie díaz’s sexuality

I am still reading my way through the Fourth World! Last time I talked about all the stuff published in the 70s; now let's talk about the 80s.
Kirby:
New Gods #12: In 1984, DC reprinted Kirby's original New Gods run and threw in an extra issue (not to be confused with Gerry Conway's New Gods #12) so that Kirby could finish the story. This was partially DC being nice and trying to give an aging Kirby money, and partially not because they refused to let him produce the ending he wanted, which was Orion and Darkseid both dying. After a couple scrapped versions, we got this, in which Orion goes down in a hail of laser fire. It's a real bummer, but at least he's extremely homoerotic with his best buddy Lightray first? (Oh, they're getting a whole separate post, just you wait.)
The Hunger Dogs: This "graphic novel" (it's only 64 pages but back then that counted) came out a year later and was the "conclusion" to the Fourth World saga. Once again DC and Kirby butted heads because Kirby really wanted to kill everyone and DC was like "But our IP!!!" In the final version, only supporting characters Himon and Esak die, which is sad but not going to do any damage to DC's bottom line.
It turns out Orion is not dead despite being riddled with holes (there's an intriguing suggestion that he has some kind of healing ability because he possesses the Life Equation, which like everything else in this book is presented with zero context or explanation), which is great because it gives him an opportunity to be homoerotic with Lightray again, although he has also been given an Obligatory Heterosexual Love Interest, Himon's daughter Bekka.
Anyway this book is baffling. Highfather blows up New Genesis (everyone survives) to taunt Darkseid, who is overthrown by the downtrodden masses of Apokalips. There's some shouting about the dangers of technology and maybe some anti-Cold War rhetoric about stockpiling weapons, but it's all so hysterically overblown - Kirby at his most grandiose - that it's nearly impossible to parse beyond "war bad." I do appreciate that Orion is able to break free of his rage and death wish and just...leave Darkseid behind, but the fact that he's emotionally mature enough to do that now comes pretty much out of nowhere. The art is extremely powerful, at least.
My final thought is that Kirby clearly gleefully ignored everything Englehart, Conway, et al. did and I love that for him.
Super Powers: Darkseid fights the Justice League. This was a comic created to sell a toy line and you can really, really tell.
Post-Kirby:
Legends: I've read this before, but it's great. If you like pre-Flashpoint DC, you should definitely read this, which introduces Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad, sets up the JLI, and brings Wonder Woman into the post-Crisis DCU. Neither Orion nor Scott are present but this (along with the Happyland issue of the original Forever People) really makes the case for why Glorious Godfrey is one of Kirby's best and scariest Fourth World creations. And I will never complain about John Byrne art.
Forever People (1988): Blecch. It's definitely arrogant to read something and think "I know for certain that Jack Kirby, a man I never met who died when I was a child, would have hated this" but like. I'm right. And it's obvious from the very first page.
Basically, at the end of Kirby's series, the FP were marooned on a random, idyllic planet somewhere with no hope of getting home, so they embraced it as their new, hopeful future. This catches up with them years later, with Serifan (the sweet young kid) drooling and raving alone in the woods, Vykin (the only Black character) dead (he gets better), and the rest of them...living in yuppie paradise? Apparently the planet they ended up on was populated (missing the point) with "primitive" people (racist) so they decided to use Mother Box to forcibly "evolve" the people (SO RACIST) and were able to create...modern-day America? Literally why would they even do that, they're from New Genesis. Mark is mayor and married with kids, and Big Bear and Beautiful Dreamer are married to each other with a baby on the way.
Anyway a nebulous villain/evil force called "the Dark" undoes everything which brings Vykin back to life but takes away Mark's wife and kids (she's alive but still "primitive" and the kids were never born) and Bear and Dreamer's unborn child, which means the only female protagonist spends the whole rest of the miniseries clutching her stomach and going "my baby!" I absolutely don't mean to make light of pregnancy loss but this doesn't feel like a story about a three-dimensional woman experiencing pregnancy loss. It feels like a story that reduces a woman to a) whether or not she's having a baby, which is the only thing she cares about and b) the central point on a vague love triangle with Mark and Bear. SIGH.
Meanwhile they all go to Earth for...some reason...and then Mark gets possessed by the Dark and is evil for a while but then they manage to summon Infinity Man and Mark isn't evil anymore. And it's bafflingly revealed that they're all from Earth in the first place from random different historical time periods and Highfather kidnapped them as babies. Okay???
The Forever People are perhaps Kirby's purest and most optimistic characters, and this cynical take on them actively angered me even though I don't actually care about them at all. I've also basically never cared for J. M. DeMatteis's writing outside of JLI, and I don't like Paris Cullins's art, so this book just had absolutely nothing going for it for me.
Cosmic Odyssey: I do not trust Jim Starlin with the New Gods since I know he's going to kill them all off in 2007. This is...fine, I guess? Starlin really does not like Orion, who he has slaughter a bunch of innocent, brainwashed Thanagarians, and also be deeply bigoted against Forager. Everything else is...fine? It's basically all action. The only character who has an emotional arc is John Stewart because this is the story where he fails to save Xanshi because he's being an overconfident moron, but the moral at the end of the comic is like "Get over it already" so...that happens. It's fine.
But man, that Mike Mignola artwork is worth the price of admission alone. That guy's great at drawing.
Mister Miracle Special: The plot of this is that Barda doesn't want Scott to be an escape artist anymore because it's too dangerous, even though a) she's a warrior of Apokalips and b) he's an active Justice League member and she seems fine with that. So okay.
Mister Miracle (1989): Okay, so the basic premise here - Scott and Barda try to adjust to normal life in the suburbs - is good. And it's a spiritual spinoff of JLI, which is of course one of my favorite books of all time. But this book is like...imagine someone screaming "Iiiiiiit's WACKY!" over your shoulder constantly while you're reading. That's what reading Mister Miracle (1989) is like. Highfather wears a tuxedo! Funky Flashman shows up a lot! Scott fights a giant alien noodle! Some of it is actually funny, but most of it is trying so hard to be funny that it's just exhausting.
There are some interesting character moments in there. Scott, Barda, and Orion all get to call Highfather out. Orion mentions wishing he was closer to Scott. There are hints at Scott's depression and suicidal tendencies, which I find really fascinating. But all of it is always immediately overshadowed by ZANINESS.
Anyway, I think we as DC fans deserve a do-over with a new Scott and Barda book about their lovingly domestic (kinky) life together on Earth that is funny but not desperately mugging for laughs in every panel. And I think it should be set in Vegas where Scott has a residency. Call me, DC!
New Gods (1989): This book was mostly written by Mark Evanier (a couple issues were by Starlin), who was one of Kirby's assistants back when he was originally creating the Fourth World, so you might think it would feel the closest to a continuation of Kirby's vision. Instead, I am making it Exhibit A in my argument for why a character should never be assigned to a writer who obviously fucking hates their guts.
I mean, I don't know that Evanier hates Orion. But boy does he write him like he does. Starlin's Orion (who again, we get a couple issues of here) is a monster, but Evanier's Orion is just an incompetent idiot, forever slamming himself against the brick wall of his inevitably becoming his father. Almost every single issue has at least one character, often multiple characters, bemoaning Orion's absolutely unproductive violence and inability to learn or comprehend basic concepts that should not be at all new to him after living most of his life on New Genesis (i.e. justice, mercy, compassion). Even fucking Kalibak is like "Wow, you're a useless idiot." Kalibak! The king of useless idiots!
The comic is so into hating on Orion that it hates on him when he's not actually doing anything bad; at one point he walks into a nuclear reaction that's melting down in a desperate attempt to stop it before it kills everyone, and Big Bear is like "Wow, he's just like his father." REALLY, BIG BEAR? Show me the comic where Darkseid risks his life to save thousands of strangers. I'll wait.
This series also features:
a hawkish, bloodthirsty New Genesis military leader who keeps trying to overthrow Highfather, which both seems to undercut the whole point of New Genesis as well as Orion's uniqueness as The Angry Guy;
an Earth woman with the worst gaydar in the universe repeatedly failing to fuck an increasingly uncomfortable Lightray;
but then Lightray falls in love with a dead woman he never met?;
also Orion gets a crush on a bug lady and learns to stop being racist against bugs (she's not impressed and good for her)
and Lightray and Orion parade around Earth in the WORST fashions of the late 80s/early 90s, which is about all this book has going for it.
Anyway it was bad and I'm glad I'm done with it. Next up: the 90s!

That thing you said about Bruce Robinson stating that Withnail and Marwood not having girlfriends, because they are poor. That’s really funny and it does make sense! However, it’s really noticeable, if you’re used to forced heterosexual references in buddy films, that women as a whole are never mentioned by the two, never mind attraction to them. The closest we get to this are pictures of women in their walls, but most of these are press photos of actresses. As Withnail and Marwood are thespians, it looks like their interest is an artistic, rather than sexual. And as you pointed out, the only sort of attraction referenced is homosexual. As you rightfully said, Marwood comes across as almost absurdly afraid of it, but interestingly never asserts heterosexuality to compensate, as many characters in similar films do. I’m a big dummy when it come to reading films properly, but it’s interesting that while none of these things alone make Withnail and Marwood explicitly queer (gay, bisexual, asexual, etc), there is absolutely zero effort spent on trying to convince you they are straight. If it took an interview to bring it up, Bruce Robinson probably just did not think it relevant. Again, the relationship between them is treated with greater importance. Of course, we are not sure by the end that it is completely platonic, and I don’t know how intentional that was (definitely was on the part of Richard E. Grant) but the point still stands. Sorry, this is such a long message, I hope it makes sense!
Absolutely! Thank you so much for sending me this, you've given me an excuse to go off on a rant. I've put some of my own ramblings and scattered thoughts under the cut. Sorry in advance for a complete lack of coherence.
Totally agree that it's unusual for a buddy film to have Marwood simply deny he's homosexual, then not show any interest in women to prove his point. No aggressive assertions of heterosexuality or forced female love interest, hell, no mention of women whatsoever (Mrs Parkin doesn't count)
I know he's essentially Bruce Robinson's self insert, hence Marwood being sexually harassed by Monty, who was based on Franco Zeffirelli, the director who sexually harassed Bruce Robinson (sorry if I'm just saying stuff you already know here). But yeah, Marwood isn't an aggressively heterosexual character, which makes him very inviting for a queer reading, among the various other reasons. I mean....look at him. Tboy swag off the charts.
I could list all the queer codings and references in the film but we would be here forever. Don't even get me started on all the ways Withnail is easy to read as queer. But yeah, in summary, I agree with your point that the complete lack of heterosexual attraction in the film can support that queer interpretation.
That's a good point that the photos of women/actresses in their flat could be purely for aesthetic reasons because they're thespians.
As for Bruce Robinson's intentions.... There was an interview where someone asked if Withnail was gay, which Bruce Robinson and Richard E. Grant refuted (timestamp about 21:09). Here Robinson actually jokingly (?) says he thinks Withnail is asexual because he only loves himself.... asexuality isn't caused by narcissism, but hot take!
So, Withnail was never intended to be homosexual. Which is crazy to me, what with... Withnail being Withnail. There is no possible heterosexual explanation for that man's behaviour!! And it's telling that so many people have seen the film and thought he was gay. But good news! Paul McGann has made a lot of comments about Marwood and Withnail being "young marrieds" in his commentary of the film. Also, in this interview (timestamp 6:58) he says Withnail was probably in love with Marwood. Big win for the gays. Overall, Bruce Robinson did not intend for Withnail and Marwood to be read as queer, but everyone say thank you to Paul McGann. Thank you Paul McGann
(Goes without saying, the creator's intentions don't prevent people from interpreting the film the way they want to. Death to the author etc etc. I've always liked to see Marwood and Withnail as queer because that adds another layer of meaning and just....makes sense if you ask me. Their relationship is compelling, platonic or otherwise. I personally found that it doesn't make sense for either of them to be 100% heterosexual, and asexual or bisexual readings are really cool as well.)
(On that note, not sure if it's worth mentioning... I read here that Vivian MacKerrell, the man Withnail was based on, was bisexual. So. There's that. Bisexual Withnail 2023)

Okay so this is my roman empire, as well as one of the best parts of the series
I realized here that they had made a subtle romance in the plot that is never said aloud by them, but which is nonetheless starting its blossom in this series.
Han Juwon’s love map is a mess of lines and clear fences for people in his life, and Dongsik just salsa dances all over those lines and gaily hops the fences from the very beginning.
And the reason that this is one of the best parts for me is because here, he’s not trying to win Juwon over. He never tries. He’s just himself, unapologetic, selfless, and joyful.
There is zero heterosexual explanation for Juwon to stare at him with such a mix of awe, confusion, dread, and even fascination. Call it the Pre-Yearning Phase.
This is so moving. Alexa, play “Something There” from Beauty and the Beast
this wasn’t the lee dongsik that han juwon came to arrest. actions can deceive as wells as lips can lie. he knows this. he learned that lesson from his father long ago, but this… this is different. this level of kindness, of compassion, can it truly be fake? this wasn’t the actions of the killer, lee dongsik, that han juwon had built up in his mind, and i think it terrified him

lmao that "tonto has a gf" shit from 2006 comic is fr like
— we need to show the reader that homies ain't gay, but stating that they aren't gay is not enough because no one will believe us
— let's get one of them a gf which appears like 5 times during a comic and the dude has never spoken to her & they have absolutely no chemistry between them, unlike this dude and his homie
— yeah, that's perfect, everyone will absolutely believe that they aren't gay
LIKE FRRR LINDA'S NEVER TALKED TO TONTO TFFF??? THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO DYNAMICS, FUCKING ZERO, FUCKING ZE-RO DYNAMICS. BUT JOHN & TONTO WOULD MAKE HELLA COUPLE BECAUSE A. THEY ARE ALMOST ALWAYS TOGETHER B. THEY SAVED EACH OTHERS ASSES SEVERAL TIMES C. NOT THE FUCKING JOHN RUNNING IN FRONT OF TONTO TO SAVE HIM FROM THE BULLET, GETTING WOUNDED HIMSELF INSTEAD AND ALMOST DYING IN TONTO'S HANDS??? D. TONTO SEWS CLOTHES FOR JOHN. THERE IS NO HETEROSEXUAL EXPLANATION

Memories 2021 Thoughts
Ohhhh myyyyy goodness!!! I feel truly spoiled, we’ve gotten so many great moments from Memories 2021!
Honestly new things are still coming out every few hours or so, I feel like, so this post might develop more over the next couple of days, but I want to start compiling my thoughts, opinions, takeaways, and favorite moments. This is going to be sort of a catch-all for everything I have to say, so click to read more if you want some sweet moments and my takes on them!
One thing that jumped out at me right away, and only seemed to get more more obvious as more moments came out, was just the way that BTS, as a whole, truly seems to have absolutely zero physical boundaries. Usually I think of that as being mostly a Maknae line plus Hobi kind of thing (and that was confirmed today as well, I feel like, with the clip of Jungkook putting his hand on Jimin's waist and then Hobi coming up behind Jimin and standing ass-to-crotch with him while putting his hand on Jimin's hip -- like, okay guys), but I guess I have to include Jin in that too after watching this wildness!
It really just goes to show, I think, that when it comes to looking at the members' individual relationships with each other, ultimately it's more telling to look at consistent interactions than single, standout, suspicious moments. So with that in mind, let's look at some of my favorite Taekook crumbs from the day!
There have been so many great moments in this Memories. I'm going to try to keep my list reasonable (while still being indulgent, because that's who I am as a person), starting with this:

I love that they're just playing around with the camera, checking themselves out, and stop in the middle to make eye contact when they're that close to each other's faces, just to smile at each other. Please help, I think I'm melting into a puddle.
In not-so-soft TK news, I'm uhhhhh shall we say living for this moment:
That little eyebrow raise!!!! It is ruining my life!! Is there a heterosexual explanation for this? I don't think so. Also: Jungkook wants me dead these days, I'm officially convinced.
Then there's this one:

Bickering over a game they're only playing to pass the time? Sorry but that's couple behavior.
I couldn't resist including this in my faves:
It's obviously really adorable, but it's the ease with which they get into this position that stands out to me the most. I mean, Tae really just jumps up there with no hesitation! And Jungkook doesn't even flinch! I'm impressed and also feel like they must do this a lot.
Another one I feel like I just sort of have to mention is them holding hands and bouncing. Very 2014 fetus Taekook of them and I'm here for it:
How are they still so precious after all this time??
There are genuinely so many moments that have come out of this DVD, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing even more, just because I know there's a lot of material to comb through and people are probably still working on it.
They're not included in this list because they're harder to isolate in this way, but I feel like there were several tiny, in-the-background moments that, once again, just show how Taehyung and Jungkook spend a lot of time near each other, touching each other, interacting with each other, whether it's the focus of the camera or not.
A stand-out little interaction for me was this moment where Jungkook softly held out his hand for Tae out of nowhere and then they shook hands in the middle of practice:

The dark horse of the day for me is this conversation between Jungkook and Jimin where Jungkook says that Taehyung is being flirty every three seconds, and then Jimin starts talking about how Taehyung can use all of his different features or something (???) including his lips and tongue and Jungkook just giggles?? And then seems to mention Taehyung's body????? I??????

But of course my favorite moment we got today has to be Taehyung running his fingers through a sleepy (or sleeping?) Jungkook's hair and then touching his shoulder (and lying against his back). This moment is just so sweet and undeniably loving. I don't even really have anything to say about it to be honest. It's just such a heart-achingly tender moment and I'm really happy we got to see it.
I might add to this post, or make a part two, if I think of more moments that I feel strongly that I want to include, or if we get more as time goes on, but for now I'm pretty happy with these as my favorites of the day! I've had a blast just watching new content trickle in over the last several hours.
Have your favorite moments made my list? What else have you enjoyed today, or what's stood out to you?

Gale Reviews: Sonic 2 (The Movie)
So I finally got to watch the Movie and I will be giving my reaction as well as my review on it
(Spoilers below)
-Eggman on the mushroom world was a lot funnier than I thought. I liked all the gadgets he made and the fact he survived that long was amazing
-The three random goobers are probably dead from Eggman's traps.
-KNOCK KNOCK ITS KNUCKLES
-(Knuckles is surprisingly chill with the fact that the three minions are gone. But they arent relevant)
-And thus the tradition of Eggman tricking Knuckles has begun
______________________________________________________________
-Sonic aka Blue Justice manages to stop an armed robbery in a rather comedic scene. I think its actually one of the weaker scenes in the movie but the part where he Disassembles an ARMORED TRUCK IN SECONDS is pretty cool
-Sonic is basically a kid that was sneaking out.
-Props to sonic's elaborate plan to hide that he snuck out despite failing
-Sonic playing airport security was adorable. Tom and Maddie play along. They are basically his parents and its adorable
-I Like how Tom basically knows that Sonic is causing chaos and is like "Just have it cleaned up by the time we are back" Its sweet.
-Tails first appearance is adorable and he steals a car. Perfect.
-Knuckles showing up with Eggman and just being epic. Though I wish he said the line when it showed in the trailer. Because it was actually not as cool.
-Tails saves sonic by hitting Knuckles with a car. Amazing.
-So Knuckles is apparently the strongest warrior in the galaxy. Which considering he has warp rings, it makes sense that he would be out an about.
-Eggman getting fixed up was a nice touch
-Stone missed Eggman (and there is ZERO heterosexual explanation for his devotion to Eggman.)
-Also the coffee shop is called the Mean Bean (love that reference)
-Also Tails acts as the exposition machine in this most of the time, but it never comes off as boring or dull because Sonic knows very little and its usually changes the way they tell it.
-The map just activates to tell sonic his mission, but I argue its cause he never really talked about the emerald that it didnt activate. But whatever.
-Wade being cringe yet hilarious.
-Longclaw's design is still similar to her first appearance but they make it less uncanny.
-So in this iteration for the emeralds, They were fused together to create the master emerald and it was guarded by Longclaws clan
-Anyway, Sonic and Tails bonding and having an epic dancebattle in Siberia is amazingly more fun then you would think. (they are adorable together. Their friendship is pure)
-Knuckles is Hilarious (Idris KILLS IT AS THE WARRIOR ECHIDNA)
-Knuckles reading the texts.
-Tom trying not to ruin his sister in law's wedding. (and she is still salty about the first movie)
-(The wedding part feels like a completely different movie)
-Eggman reveals how he knows where sonic is.
-Lore that the Echidna's made the master emerald and one of them went mad with power and Longclaws clan of heroes had to step in and stop him was interesting. (the animated sequence was epic as hell)
-Also we find out that Knuckles is the last of the Echidnas. Which means Longclaw BY HERSELF. Managed to kill the rest of the echidnas which means she is an absolute UNIT.
-So the emerald was hidden on earth, and the map is relevant again.
-Sonic and Knuckles fight in an epic way. I dig it.
-Tails got hurt though and Sonic needs Tom's help to escape.
-So due to some teasing, the warp ring got mixed with the wedding rings and Tom ruins the wedding.
-UNTIL IT IS REVEALED THAT THE WEDDING WAS ACTUALLY A SET UP TO CAPTURE SONIC! BECAUSE G.U.N.!!!
-The general obsessed with olive garden returns!
-The sister in law then becomes the best character as she is going through a LOT (she takes out like 5 guards)
-I swear it felt like a different movie for like 10 minutes but it was fun
-Eggman and Knuckles find the temple of the master Emerald.
-Another fight occurs between sonic and Knuckles and
-Eggman betrays knuckles and takes the master Emerald becoming (While it isnt given a name) I call it Mega Eggman
-And he gets crazy powerful!
-Sonic saves Knuckles and vice versa and they become friends after bonding.
-Mega Eggman uses his powers to create his death egg robot and its powered by him
-so the emerald can turn thoughts into power so... (which is align in canon) its crazy powerful
-The plane that was used in the wedding becomes the Tornado for this.
-Sonic knuckles and Tails work together and Knuckles gives Mega egg a knuckle sandwich
-Sonic gets the Master emerald but it shatters and the chaos emeralds fall out.
-Maddie, tom and Sonic are about to be crushed but Sonic becomes Super sonic (in one of the coolest scenes in the movie)
-Sonic wins, eggman is believe gone but isnt
-Sonic gives up the emeralds because he thinks he isnt ready for it yet.
-Knuckles takes the destroyed master emerald and restores it (so the chaos emeralds and the Master emerald are now in canon)
-Knuckles sonic and tails decide to become the heroes that will guard the emerald and stop evil from using it.
-The heroes play baseball and then go out for Ice cream. and that's how it ends
-Oh and Shadow got teased for the next movie
______________________________________________________________
So I will say that the movie is CHOCK FULL OF REFERENCES. if you love sonic, you will love this movie.
This movie is pretty by the numbers and while many would say its predictable I think its a good thing, it only does one good twist and I appreciate how they kept it pretty by the numbers. You see what you get and thats good.
This movie also had the humans still but I actually enjoyed them more this time around, (but the movie stayed focused on the stars where it needed to be.)
There were some scenes where the CGI stuck out, like Eggman in is Eggpod in Siberia.
Sonic and Tails had amazing dynamic and I adored it.
Tails felt perfect. He was exactly like his videogame iterations and I loved it. He also is so precious.
Idris Elba is the star of this and I think his Knuckles is one of the BEST ITERATIONs of knuckles in media. And I would fist fight anyone who disagrees. He has the balance of warrior and naive knucklehead. Without playing him too dumb or serious. Its perfect.
Eggman/Robotnik was good. I think this was a case where I think the new look is better, but he isnt completely there yet. I hope he completes the look with a fat suit.
There are a few plot holes and some things work out conveniently.
But it was a very straight forward movie. You knew what you were getting going in. It also was funny and a touch cringe.
It is a movie I had a ton of fun with.
As a Sonic fan, I give this a solid 9.5 out of 10.
But if you arent a sonic fan, I would say 7.5
It is aimed at kids but there is a lot of jokes for everyone.
I think this movie is much better than the original and I CANT WAIT for the third one.

10 Anti LO Asks
1. I don't think LO fans get this but the having to resort to tearing everything else down to prop it up is actually a worse indictment on its quality than not. If LO is truly this great of a piece of work, it should be able to stand on its own, not having harassment/smear campaigns against even remotely similar (or not) pieces of work to make it look "better" in comparison. What happened to H/P Ficlets is probably the most nasty example of LO fans being cruel in the name of making LO look "better"
2. I want to know what Kool-Aid LO fans are on because I've seen so many of them say the art is actually BETTER than it was in the beginning. Like girl what, go check your eyes 💀
3. I saw Overly Sarcastic Production's explanation of the Persephone myth. It started out really good, covering the 'possible' ancient background on the myth, and reiterating how the Homeric Hymn to Demeter is the best version we have in terms of detail. They also don't try and demonize Demeter or try to make the myth seem like some kind of romance epic.
Then the end of the video comes along and ruins the entire thing - they basically encourage people to read Lore Olympus and continue the false narrative that Persephone and Hades are the 'most functional relationship' in mythology.
It's just so frustrating to see even a popular myth youtube channel is falling for the Tumblr false interpretation of the myth that ruined Lore Olympus while completely missing the point of the story. It was always meant to be about the relationship between mother and daughter - not a damn romance.
4. ive seen so many lo fans condemn zeus (in comic) for being more flamboyant/not being hyper masculine as hades and im like 1) ok so hades is boring while zeus is fun, got it but also 2) considering zeus' myth canon bisexuality and lo's obsession with being very heterosexual that just seems ... wrong. like i dont think they mean to be biphobia/harmful while saying stuff like this but the fact they do zero relfection on it is a big issue.
5. tbh i was willing to give the benefit of a doubt about hades and minthe but then we find out HADES is the one who blurred the lines and chased after HER and started the relationship and made her to have an apartment and stuff all under HIS control so its like?? he went after her, he's the one who wasnt being professional and went after his employe, he controls all her finances and the literal roof over her head, but we're supposed to be on HIS side and see her as ungrateful/evil??? girl what!!
6. im sorry i just cant take the "sexy" panels hades seriously because 1) its always very clearly traced, 2) it just doesnt look right given how bad the anatomy is, but also 3) its just weirdly ooc?? like rachel cant decide if hes this serious brooding king who you dont mess with or an empty headed, horny teenager. im not saying he cant have duality to him but its hard to be like "isnt he cute?" when he owns slaves, neglects children, & takes advantage of vulnerable young women into relationships
7. im begging rachel to pick up an anatomy book or something on her break WHY is hades' head so tiny now??? how did she go from semi ok anatomy to whatever this is?? and you cant go "thats her style!" because it legit doesnt even look good or cohesive or even like what we know she once could do, it just looks like a mess. i dont get how you draw non-stop for years and actually get WORSE at it.
8. i just get sad because i follow a lot of webtoon creators who feel dejected and neglected by WT meanwhile they just throw up more and more promotion for LO and shove it everyones' faces (when it very much does NOT need the help) while these other creators feel so left behind many that many of them don't even want to make another comic again. i cant imagine that feels good that they have to work twice as hard if not more to even get noticed meanwhile rachel just gets everything handed to her.
9.i do not get why rachel went with the "gods dont care/hate mortals" take in LO. even just a skim of any myth will show you the gods, for all their faults, did care about mortals and wanted the best for them. like if they hated them so much, why even let them exist? why care persephone killed so many of them? why provide them with food, water, etc? also most of the male gods have children with mortal women, why would they do that if they hate them? it's such a bad take to go with.
-----FP Spoilers/Mention-----
10. Eris' head looking like an apple is not a smart design it's a mistake. I still can get over how they massacred my baby ;__;

if youre still doing the character thing, how about spirit or marie?
I sure am. How about Spirit And Marie? Both wonderful characters. I’ll do Marie first, then Spirit. Thanks for the excuse to infodump, really. You people are too kind.
Marie Mjolnir
My first impression of Marie was the same impression I get of most female characters in anime. It’s either “why do their clothes have to look like that” or “oh god here comes the obligatory sexist heteronormative romance”. For Marie, it was more of the second. They mention in the same episode she’s introduced that Stein is her “first love”, which told me that if she had a large place in the plot, her assigned male counterpart around which to orbit would be him. Though I’ve never read the Soul Eater manga, I believe they do end up getting together there (I could be wrong). Whatever the case, I was relieved that Marie’s and Stein’s relationship (though heavily implied to be romantic, at least on Marie’s side) was left open to interpretation in the anime. I’m just very sick of cool badass female characters like Marie being reduced to the man they pine after. So, I guess my first impression of Marie and my impression of her now are largely the same. While I appreciate the moments we get to see her strengths and ability to operate on her own, I do think that her character really suffers because of the whole sexist “oh gosh all I want is to find a husband and retire” “oh my I have to take care of Stein” like okay, I had enough at the cat girl smothering Soul with her humungo-tits. I had enough at sexualizing underage girls and women in general. I had enough at making sexual harassment a punchline. That being said, when we push all of the shitty writing to the side, I admire Marie for her strength and how she interacts with the children, Crona in particular. Which leads me to my favorite moment(s).
The relationship Crona and Marie have interests me the most, since I’m really drawn to the parallels between Marie and Medusa. As parental figures (and as characters), they’re about as different as you can get. As Crona’s mother, Medusa is obviously abusive. Along with being negligent, she abuses Crona mentally, emotionally, and physically. In general, Medusa is a person who doesn’t appear to value interpersonal relationships, putting it nicely. She instead is more focused on her own interests, often to the detriment of those around her. Crona is Medusa’s only immediate family (besides Arachne who she is estranged from), and so they suffer the most from her refusal to show even a shred of human decency or warmth. They suffer especially because they are her child, meaning they’re stuck with her essentially, and repetivie abuse between family members like a mother and child often becomes complex because of the necessity of having a parental figure in your life to support you as you grow up. Medusa teaches Crona that their boundaries don’t matter and that they are only good as long as they are useful and do as they’re told. This is what makes Marie’s influence on Crona so cool to watch. Marie is caring by nature, loving and nurturing by nature. Her very wavelegnth is healing. She is kind and does what’s right reflexively. Marie is the exact embodiment of what Crona always needed but what, even upon being rescued by the academy, still felt so foreign to them: unconditional love. Crona struggles to understand why the other kids helped them, why Maka felt the inclination to stop their battle and save Crona instead by trying to understand them, why the kids are still so kind to them even after everything. They do not understand that love is not a bargaining chip. It isn’t leverage in an argument. It’s not a tool for emotional manipulation. Love is caring for the people close to you, just because. Love for the sake of love. The other kids and teachers at the academy are the ones who are able to pull Crona out of all Medusa’s lies, and Marie is a Huge part of that. Even though I have greivances with this being the largest part of her character and what that implies for female characters in general, it doesn’t stop being so beautiful to me that she could help Crona heal in this way. Marie = best mom for the win
Most of the story ideas I have for Marie involve her relationship with Crona or Stein. Say, this covers my unpopular opinion too. I don’t like Stein and Marie as a couple, but I really enjoy writing them as friends, because even though I don’t really jive with them being together romantically, I think their dynamic is an interesting one to explore because they Are so different.
Getting into that a little bit more, I’d like to start by saying I don’t care if other people like Stein and Marie being a couple. That’s great doods, keep doing you. The fanart’s adorable, the meta’s fantastic. Whoever you are, SteinMarie shippers, ffs keep kicking ASS. This is just my preference and opinion. Zero shade in this house. That said, because of my frustrations about Marie’s character I discussed in the first paragraph, I don’t like the idea of her and Stein being together romantically. It’s really a classic sexist trope: the troubled man and his sweet nurse. I’m also just fed up in general with the hetero-nonsense, so there. However, they are both wonderful characters that I enjoy very much seperately. Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that I’ve only seen the anime, so I can’t speak for the manga as far as their relationship or Marie’s character in general.
Oh shit I accidentally already talked about this one lmao [see the second paragraph]
One headcanon I like to think about when I’m writing Marie is that she likes women (in addition to men or not) and she struggles with comphet. Just something interesting I like to think about. It’s really fun for me to take characters who have been written as pining or had 10 million failed relationships and be like “say what if they can’t find a husband cuz really what they really need is a wife”. I’ll talk about that more with Spirit inevitably.
Spirit Albarn
My first impression of Spirit, obviously him being a cheater, really came with a lot of distaste. I come from a family that was torn apart by infidelity, among other things, so it really rubs me the wrong way. However, his saving grace for me was that he genuinely loves his daughter. It appears that, whether it’s played for laughs or not, he just can’t find fulfillment in his romantic relationships. The reason is left up to the veiwers. Spirit, ultimately, is not just a shitty person, which is how most cheaters are protrayed in media. “Well, they cheated because they don’t care if they hurt people”, “they cheated because they are shit and that’s it”. That’s a fine explanation if you plan to do nothing with whatever character you’re describing, but Spirit is relatively recurring and is shown to be neither mean-spirited or emotionally unintelligent. It bothers me that his cheating and routine sexist behaviour isn’t taken seriously enough to be a subject that Soul Eater tackles and deals with. But that’s fine. I’ll just do it myself. At any rate, I still feel that same way about Spirit’s character, but I find it intriguing that he seems to genuinely want to become a better father and is actually a pretty good dad when it comes to his interactions with Maka. If Soul Eater had been brave enough to develop him more, maybe delve into the reasoning behind his impulsive romantic affairs, I think Spirit as a character could have been done more justice. It seems to me that he could be suffering from some of that wonderful compulsory heterosexuality that I mentioned before, then becoming confused when the woman he claims to love leaves him feeling empty. Rattling my gay little cage
When I think of my favorite moments with Spirit, I think of his moments with Maka, but I’m gonna hold off on that until I get to favorite relationship(s). In reference to what I talked about in the first paragraph, one moment I find really interesting when I’m thinking about my interpretation of Spirit’s character is the scene where he and Maka are on the roof talking. Maka asks Spirit why he cheated on her mother if he did, in fact, love her. He doesn’t appear to know the answer, and he doesn’t really understand how to effectively communicate that, though he was shitty husband, what he really wants now is to try and be a better dad. We hear his inner monologue, and he says something like “I love you [Maka] and your mama. That’s the truth. That’s the truth. That’s the truth.” Every time he says “its the truth” it sounds more like he’s forcing it. This is actually something that is SO strange to me. Even if I didn’t project a queer narrative on to the characters I love, I would look at this and be like “huh that is a Weird thing to say in that specific way”. Why does he say it like that? Why does he have to say it more than once? He’s only talking to HIMSELF. It isn’t like he’s trying to convince Maka. Why does he have to convince himself?? Could it possibly be because he’s reached a conclusion about his romantic/sexual orientation that he’s been trying to swallow his Entire Life??? makes ya wonder, doesn’t it, queers?
Just like I said when I talked about Stein, most of the stories I have in mind with Spirit center around that sweet gayness. But also, I like to think of ways Spirit could come to terms with his sexuality, how it might have affected him when he was young, his relationship with all these women, with his wife. I love to think about him being a dad at 18 and trying his best, but how much responsibility that must have been. Lots of great ideas when it comes to Spirit.
Um? unpopular opinion would be all the standard like I said with Stein lmao. “Oh no!” scream the heteros, “that they/them on tumblr is making Soul Eater queer we canst not allow that in our church!!!111!” But besides that, maybe even the fact that I think he’s redeemable?? Idk most everyone I’ve met thinks Spirit is funny at least and just calls him a dumbass and a slut (affectionate). Doesn’t mean anybody thinks cheating on your wife 56 times is okay so. I like this fandom, it’s chill here. My favorite is when I see my art tagged like “aw the stupid man and his crazy bf” like YOU ARE RIGHT
My favorite relationship when it comes to Spirit (besides Stein cuz if I start talking about them again I’ll never finish this ask) is the one he has with Maka. If you can call it a relationship lol. I guess I just find Spirit’s approach to Maka as a parent really refreshing. Not that the parents in other shows don’t love their kids or whatever, it’s just that the loving parent always seems to be paired with some other trope that makes their character hard to approach. especially in anime. Like the perfect mother who dies in the first episode, and we spend the rest of the show mourning her. Or the father whose love is somehow everlasting even though he’s never home. It’s really the fact that Spirit is even THERE that I love. He knows what Maka is up to. He talks about her. He’s invested in her life, and he loves her. All he wants is to spend time with her, and though he’s sad when she turns him down, he doesn’t push her. god dammit I just like a dad who actually loves his kids without all the usual strings attached like. oh my kids are a huge pain in my ass, but I love them in spite of it. oh i’m a man so can’t relate to my children in a meaningful way but i try. Get the fuck outta here with that shit. I want all the dads to get so happy when their daughters wanna hang with them that they throw up like Spirit. Give me the guy who loves his daughter so naturally, whose daughter is such a huge part of his life, that it doesn’t even occur to him stop trying even if she literally wants to murder him. That’s Spirit. jfc
To end with a cute little headcanon, I really love to think that when Spirit gets older and starts losing the color in his hair, instead of getting white or grey, his hair turns a pale pink color cuz he’s such an aggressive redhead. Wouldn’t that just be adorable? late 30′s, early 40′s, Spirit starts getting little pink streaks in his hair and then bam. Little pink old man Spirit XD
There ya have it. Thanks for the ask, and feel free to send more.

I know it’s so 2 weeks ago but...
Rewatching atots from ep 1 really makes you want to celebrate that there’s no heterosexual/my-heart-recognize-you explanation for anything Tian or Phupha do in this show. None. Zero. The iconic hand touching in the hall scene? That’s cause they are soulmates. Phupha’s shock face the first time he sees Tian? Tian is really hot your honour. Tian’s heart speeding up when Phupha is near him in the mosquito net scene? He had a reaction to Phupha’s arms.
#hate that it's not a given in bl but you all know what i mean#1000 stars#atots#a tale of thousand stars#the gods rewarded me for dropping HIStory1:my hero#great men academy? don't know her

Do you think you could do headcanons for if Richie got a woman pregnant on a one-night-stand, and the woman just ended up dropping the baby on his doorstep, and how the losers, including Richie, would react?
- let’s say this happens a few months after Derry 2.0
- because before that Richie was still very deep in the closet and he trying to prove to everyone around him that he’s very heterosexual.
- The woman he has a one night stand with is friends with Steve, mostly because he is secretly hoping she tell Steve about their night
- (Richie thinks Steve is suspecting that he’s gay and want to nip it in the bud)
- They go back to Richie’s place on evening after getting McDonald’s and it’s fine, obviously Richie doesn’t feel anything for her but she’s nice enough that he likes talking to her
- One thing leads to another and they spend the night together
- The next day things aren’t hostile between them but it is akward because Richie is nervously fluttering hoping she’ll go home soon
- She does and they don’t keep in touch, which is fine for Richie. He doesn’t want to feel the guilt every time he looks at her knowing that he used her for his own gain.
- Richie mostly forgets about that night and her, and after Derry he’s too busy to pay that night any thought
- His head over heels for Eddie now, and he’s gearing up to tell him soon.
- He’s waiting for Eddie’s divorce to come through. He doesn’t want to add pressure on Eddie during such a demanding time but, he’s excited for what will happen after.
- So they’re not yet dating, but they’re getting there. It’s just a matter of time.
- And then Steve shows up with his baby one morning.
- He’s pale white, and the hand of which he’s hold the maxicosi is trembling
- Of course, Richie being the trash mouth that he is, starts making fun of him.
- He doesn’t understand why Steve would have a baby with him (as far as he’s heard Steve didn’t want kids) but the comedy gold is right there for grabbing.
- ‘What’s the baby for Steve? Did you father a baby I didn’t know anything about?’
- Uno reverse card
- When Steve bashfully admits that it’s not his kid, but Richie’s, the latter laughs.
- At first he’s convinced it’s just Steve messing with him, but Steve would never go as far as to kidnap a baby.
- He still continues to chuckle even after apprehension starts to take hold him off
- ‘It’s not a joke Richie, this is your daughter.’
- Instead of becoming serious as the situation calls for it, Richie begins to cackle.
- Not laugh, not chuckle or snort, cackle.
- He’s so confused, and flabbergasted and he can’t believe this tiny human thing crying in her crib is his.
- ‘I’m just the messenger man,’ Steve placates, slowly sinking the carrier to the ground.
- When Richie is finally done laughing ( it goes on for a very long time) Steve is itching to get out of there.
- He leaves with very little more explanation other than; ‘it was your one night stand from a few months ago, she doesn’t have a name yet, and her mother is refusing to take care of her.
- Richie finds himself just staring at this tiny little thing that’s beginning to cry and whimper as she kicks her tiny feet in the air.
- She starts to cry earnestly after about five minutes, not to fond of not being payed attention too for so long
- Richie tries to shush her gently, but it’s a baby and they don’t listen to what anyone tells them too.
- The cries grow in intensity, and Richie’s slowly losing his mind.
- He’s pacing his apartment, in a daze. He’s working on automatic pilot, because he can’t comprehend the fact that he just became a father, he’s clueless about what to do
- His own daughters birthday remains a mystery to him for god sake.
- If Richie were thinking logically, he’d call Steve and ask him to come back and explain everything in a better way, but he’s not, and he can only think with his emotions.
- He ends up calling Ben and Bev.
- His first instinct was to call Eddie, seeing as Eddie is his best friend and all, but Eddie would panicked just as much as him and that would be of no help.
- Reaching out to Stan also pops up in his mind, but he can’t deal with cynical saying right now. He needs people who will be sympathetic towards him and hopefully tell him what to do.
- On the phone he barely explains anything to bev and Ben, but he does tell them to hurry up.
- When they get to the apartment, Ben and Bev are shocked at seeing the little baby, and get concerned after Richie fails to give them an answer about how or why she’s in his house.
- Regardless, they step up up to the task and do their best to take care of the girl they know nothing about.
- Ben drives to the store to get formula and blankets and diapers, while Bev fishes her out of her crib and begins to slowly rock her. They’re both calm and collected.
- Richie on the other hand is snapping out of his haze, and the reality of the situation begins to dawn on him.
- Bev tries to console him but it’s hard when she has zero background information.
- Ben comes back and heats up her formula, but she refuses to drink and lets out a piercing cry in refusal.
- Even Bev’s rocking isn’t doing anything the south the baby, and out of desperation, Richie begins to cry.
- Because Bev is out of option herself, and doesn’t have a clue on how to help Richie, she passes him the baby.
- Richie is terrified of holding this petit thing that fits just exactly right in his arms. He’s scared of crushing her or dropping her and messing her up for life.
- But miraculously, as soon as she’s snuggled in his arms, she stops crying.
- She’s just content to lay there with her dad, who eventually tries to bottle feed her and it works. She eagerly drinks from it.
- First crisis evaded
- But, after everyone has processed the first major shock, Richie needs to give Ben and Bev the answers they deserve now.
- Richie tries to be as straight forward as he can, but he hasn’t had the details yet himself.
- The two losers insists that he tells the others of their group right away. It’s too big of a secret to hide, and they need all the help they can get.
- Again, none of the losers are informed as to why they have to go to Richie’s house ASAP, but they still do, because he’s there best friend and they wouldn’t be called if it wasn’t important.
- It’s Stan and Patty that arrive after Bev and Ben.
- Stan and Patty are less astounded for some reason.
- Patty doesn’t even inquire, she just goes straight into cooing over the baby fase.
- She’ll sit next to Richie (still holding his daughter) and begins talking gibberish to the baby about how beautiful she is.
- Richie agrees.
- Stan follows her lead, but he simply observes the two of them together and then sits near touching to Richie.
- ‘I should have know you’d be the first one with a kid Trashmouth.’
- But he doesn’t lecture Richie, or starts to interrogate him about anything.
- He must have sensed that Richie wasn’t up to it at the moment.
- Bill and Mike are next.
- Within stepping one food inside the place, and spotting Richie with a baby, Bill laughs, and asks him who he knocked up.
- He intends it as a joke, obviously, but when no one else laughs, he realises how right he is.
- ‘Richie... have you been keeping your baby from us for three months?’ Mike asks, a little offended.
- ‘What do you mean three months?’
- ‘She’s clearly three months old. You can tell by her development.’ When everyone just stares at him, Mike explains further. ‘I had a lot of time on my my hands after you all left Derry. Maybe I spend that time reading children books.’
- He doesn’t more time to elaborate, because that’s the moment Eddie arrives.
- It’s his reaction Richie is most frightened off.
- He’s in love with Eddie, loves him with all his heart, but he can’t ask Eddie to date a man that just became a father. That would mean not only choosing him, but also his child.
- Eddie looks at the baby, at Richie and then back, and follows it up by cursing;’what the fuck’. loudly.
- The harsh sound startles the baby, but with a gentle kiss on the forehead that Richie gives her, she’s pacified back into sleep.
- ‘Oh shit, oh no. I need an explanation, right now.’
- Richie explains the story yet again, and hopes that none of his friends will label him as an asshole at the end of it.
- Of course they don’t, but Eddie is headed up over the whole situation.
- ‘I know a lot of lawyers after my divorce with Myra, I could hook you up someone.’
- ‘She can’t just dump her baby on you without any of the proper paperwork. What if she has a deadly disease and needs to get continuos treatment?’
- Eddie’s ‘advice’ turns Richie’s complexion green, and his stomach in knots. He’s never had to thought of that stuff before, and now he has a whole human being that depends on him for everything.
- Stan snaps at Eddie to stop him from adding more stress onto Richie, which Eddie does with a guilty apologie.
- ‘Look Richie,’ Stan says to him with full seriousness. ‘You need to decide what you’re going to do,and unfortunately you do not have a lot of time. You cannot put this off, she needs a name, and a crib and everything she needs to survive. You need to make a decision if you’re keeping her.’
- Richie gazes down upon his baby. The same baby he hasn’t let go off from the second he held her. He’s so scared, beyond explanation or able to put it in words, but this is his daughter. He could give her up for adoption, and he live would remain the same, but he knows she excites now, and to give her away to strangers? He don’t think he could have the heart.
- But...
- ‘I can’t do it by myself’, he admits, voice small and honest.
- ‘You’d never have to.’ Eddie responds, one of his fingers stroking over the ring babies head. He looks absolutely smitten.
- His life was uprooted once again, but last time the change wasn’t bad at all. Richie is confident, this won’t be bad either.
- Barely a month later Eddie moves in with them full time, and becomes pops to Maggie lover Tozier.

headcanoning villains as lgbt is super problematic and you shouldn't do it
Bruh.
You already sent me this like...a week ago?????? I think??? I responded to it here
Get like a hobby or something, I am begging you, rather than try to virtue signal at me. Twice. With the same exact message.
As a queer person, I genuinely do not care what the fuck you think I should or shouldn’t do with LGBT+ headcanons for any character. I like thinking that Primo is queer. This might sound weird to you, but Primo is a comfort character of mine. Yes, he’s a bad man, he does bad things. He’s part of the fucking Calabrian mafia, but by God I love him to bits. (And despite what so many on tumblr think, that doesn’t mean anything about me as a person. Shockingly, you can like bad people and not be bad or even agree with the things they do). He lives in my head rent free.
Primo also literally has so much queer-coding in the series and I made a post about a bunch of it here. Even my fiancee who re-watched the series with me agrees with the headcanon and was also pointing things out as well whilst watching and agreed that Primo is very much queer-coded. We both say that Primo bugging Leonardo like he does is him flirting with the other man ffs. There is also absolutely zero heterosexual explanation for sharing his coke with Paul like he does in episode.4.
And don’t come at me with ‘but Primo called Gail hot!’ I mean, yeah, of course he did. He possesses working eyeballs and Hilary Swank is a beautiful woman. Queer men can appreciate female beauty. And literally outside that one like throw-away line which, for context, is when he’s high off his ass and making plans for how he wants the ransom money from her delivered, he shows zero interest in any other woman. The scene takes place in a strip club. Tons of scantly clad women around him and this man doesn’t give a single flying fuck. He was sitting with a prostitute in this scene as well and nothing at all about their interaction carries the least bit of sexual anything to it. And when do we see the prostitute character next? When she’s helping Primo to kill his misogynistic, abusive, piece of shit uncle lmao. Again, not a sexual interaction between them.
That one line in episode.9 is nothing compared to all the queer-coding of Primo Nizzuto. He’s gay af. This man has never seen a vagina in his life except the one he came out of.
I can and will headcanon characters anyway I want. If I want to headcanon Primo as gay, bi, trans, genderqueer, WHATEVER, I can. Him being a “villain” (and frankly even that’s debatable if he’s the real villain of the series. I say no though I do say he’s still a bad man cause he is) changes nothing for that. I like me some queer villains too. Cisgender straight villains only is the most boring shit in the world.
Now leave me to write Primo however I damn please. Keep pushing me and I will be forced to piss you off more and just make LGBT+ headcanons of ALL of Luca Marinelli’s characters (except Fabrizio de André because y’know, he was a real fucking person).
#Anonymous#;;tbd#;;the pagan speaks (ooc)#{//the fucking audacity}#{//this isn't solely about primo but i made it about him because i'm writing him}#{//this is also about zingaro and mickey like lmao whatever}
