KPop Demon Hunters Fic Idea

Been looking forward to this movie since the trailer!

BOY I WASN’T DISAPPOINTED!

As soon as I finished the movie, I went through withdrawal symptoms. I love this movie so much I’m praying for the fics and fanart to satisfy my hyperfixation.

SO I HAVE A FIC IDEA! HEAR ME OUT!

(P.s: my personal taste in fics tend to be more oc/mc based with sometimes various characters)

So there’s always been three hunters to create the honmoon and it has continued that for generations. But in recent times, the hunters discover a fourth hunter that has existed as long as them. Destroying the demons in their own way.

The Sunlight Sisters track down the other hunter (being MC’s mother) to get more information about her. By the end she joins the group but only in producing and backing vocals, because of the notion of bad luck with the number 4.

In the future, MC is being trained to be a singer and producer along with her hunter skills.

Though MC has a bit of a problem.

VERY afraid to joining the group as much as she wants to internally. So she’s kept as a mysterious backing vocals in all of Huntrix’s songs. Even performing backstage live and being part of their managing team with Bobby.

If they ever get a TV show sequel, I would love an episode where this demon fan comes back but tries to convince the girls to kill him after claiming to be banished by Gwi-Ma for his uselessness to a point where he's not even worth incineration. Rumi keeps Mira from killing him cause she figures that if he was banished, he is no longer bound to Gwi-Ma anymore and thus has a chance of redemption. Zoe would agree to help but Mira would be the most hesitant not just cause of past history but her personal distain towards water demons. The girls eventually agree to the plan after Rumi makes a compromise where if he does actually feed off of a human, then they can kill him.

Over the episode, the water demon fan would actually start to get closer to the girls with him enjoying nail polish art thanks to Zoe and a private moment with Rumi where they both share their grief about Jinu. As for Mira, she still believes he will betray them but has stopped being aggressive towards him.

Unfortunately, after a stand alone musical number by the demon fan, he's suddenly pulled back to Gwi-Ma, having seen how he was able to get close to the Huntrix and wanting to use this opportunity for his benefit. He whispers promises of reviving the Saja Boys so he can continue being their fans in exchange for staging an ambush that will defeat the girls.

Not sure how the ending will go specifically, but the idea is that the water demon fan and Rumi set up a plan where they pretend that the water demon fan successfully took her soul, planning an ambush against the ambush by Gwi-Ma. After one last fight, the water demon fan would go off as a disguised human so that he can attempt to blend into human life as a Nail Technician.

This is at least how I would do it if I could write an episode about this guy.

I watched KPDH the other day. My thoughts and maybe spoilers are beneath the cut

It was good, the music was fun. The art style was very anime which I can appreciate. I also like the message of "stop listening to the evil voice telling you you're not good enough, you have to fight past it to escape the devil." It's a christian-esque message.

I just wish that they gave us more lore. I have so many backstory questions.

About the hunters: How did Mira and Zoe get recruited for the hunters? Rumi is apparently half demon, do they mean that literally? Was her mom a monster fucker? Was it a forbidden romance, or something a little less consensual? If Celine is the only Hunter left from the last generation, how did Rumi's mom and the other (who was never mentioned) die? If they're both gone, I take it Rumi's mom didn't die in childbirth, because that wouldn't take down the other one.

And the demon side of things: Are there different classes of demons? They obviously have very different looks to them, so do they just progressively get more demon looking, or are corrupted humans their own thing? And if they're a different thing, are demons like Jinu a rare occurrence? If the HonMoon didn't start having cracks until the Saja boys showed up, how were demons getting in?
