Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl Official Trailer Released

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl," the latest stop-motion animated feature from Aardman Animations. Directed by Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham, the film is set to premiere on Netflix on January 3, 2025. The beloved inventor duo Wallace and Gromit return in this family adventure, their first full-length feature since 2005's "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit." Aardman Animation has been working away on Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, the sequel to the 2000 animated comedy Chicken Run. We’re keeping track of everything you need to know about Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, including the plot, cast, trailers, and, most importantly, the Netflix release date, which is expected to be in December 2023.  Directed and written by Sam Fell (Flushed Away, ParaNorman), the screenplay for the Chicken Run sequel was written by Karey Kirkpatrick, John O’Farrell, and Rachel Tunnard and is based on the characters created by Peter Lord and Nick Park. Thandiwe Newton leads a new voice cast as Ginger, while Zachary Levi portrays Rocky and The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey plays the couple's daughter, Molly. The trailer meets Ginger and Rocky as Ginger prepares to lead a mission to break into a chicken farm rather than break out of one, as the group did in the original movie. Though some appear to doubt whether or not Ginger can pull off the latest mission, the chickens seem determined as ever to break into the high-security farm — until they re-encounter the villainous Mrs. Tweedy (Miranda Richardson), who returns after attempting to bake the chickens into pies in the original film.

It’s not like washing windows, it’s not like getting of veggie eating rabbits, and it’s not like baking where the dough needs to be fresh and hot before delivery. Can the two pals from West Wallaby Street pull off putting out fires before another conspiracy happens in this small neighborhood of theirs?

There's a scene from "Chicken Run" that really gets me hysterical where Rocky the Flying Rooster rides out of the Tweedy's farm riding a tricycle and listening to "The Wanderer" on a little portable radio. Also, who's excited for the sequel? And also, who's upset that Aardman's running out of clay?!!

📽 ARTHUR WEIHNACHTSMANN 📽 TobiView 🎄 ARTHUR WEIHNACHTSMANN – für mich persönlich ein viel zu unterschätzter Film, der von vielen gerade in der Vorweihnachtszeit zu wenig Beachtung erhält. Ich schaue ihn seit seiner Veröffentlichung im Jahr 2011 jedes Jahr zu Weihnachten sehr gerne und sehe ihn in der Riege der besten Weihnachts-Animationsfilme. 🎅🏼 Besonders gut gefällt mir der Animationsstil, der sich von dem fast pixarhaften Einheitsbrei abhebt. Da der Film von Aardman, einer britischen Animationsschmiede, stammt, die u. a. auch für “Wallace & Gromit“ oder “Shaun, das Schaf“ verantwortlich ist, ist es wenig verwunderlich, dass die Charaktere britisch-schrullig angehaucht sind. Die Figuren sind sympathisch, jede hat ihre Eigenart, die man entweder mag oder nicht. Besonders die Hauptfigur Arthur gibt der ganzen Sache aber eine Seele. 🎁 Die fast schon an eine Satire erinnernde Inszenierung rund um die erwähnten, sympathischen Figuren mag evtl. nicht jedem schmecken, aber die Story, die dank der Hauptfigur den Zauber von Weihnachten atmet, kann absolut überzeugen und grenzt sich, wie auch die Optik des Films, vom sonstigen Weihnachtskitsch ab. Viele kreative und lustige Einfälle sorgen für Unterhaltung bei Groß und Klein. ❄️ ARTHUR WEIHNACHTSMANN hat seine Schwächen, keine Frage. Das kühl wirkende und mit Technik vollgestopfte HQ der “Santa AG“ lässt weihnachtlichen Flair vermissen und die etwas zu militärisch angehauchte Organisation des Kinderbeschenkens ist nicht unbedingt die beste Wahl, was den Mythos rund um Santa Claus etwas bröckeln lässt. Dennoch ist ARTHUR WEIHNACHTSMANN seit gut 10 Jahre fest in meinem Gedächtnis verankert, nicht nur wegen seiner guten Story und dem kreativen Produktionsdesign.
