Say Goodbye For Now was an excellent book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Pete Solomon and his friend are on their way to go fishing when they find a dog that has been hit by a car. Pete can not leave the dog there to die. This is the beginning of his friendships with Justin Bell and Dr. Lucy Armstrong. It also begins the unraveling of his contentious relationship with his father. Again this is an excellent read and one of my favorites of the year. I would highly recommend it.

Remeber this today

I respect fathers day and the people who choose to celebrate it, but that doesn’t mean you have to shove it down a child’s throat. I grew up without my father and then an adoptive father that only cares about his reputation, not me. I grew up with men that abused and tormented me. On father’s day instead of celebrating I miss the man who left me and the man thats here but doesn’t care. On father’s day intead of sharing stories and hugs with a father figure I hide in my room trying to understand what that’s like. You are entitled to your opinions, but do not tell me I have to suck it up and move on. Do not tell me I have to celebrate something that doesn’t mean anything to me.
