introduction

this is a roleplay blog based off c!wilbur in limbo run by @qwilbur. all posts are in character unless otherwise specified. this blog is associated with @lovinglyvivisected. otherwise, this is still mainly an independent concept.

soot (he/him, around 24) is quite literally a dead man walking, trapped in a train station. (maybe. probably)

this blog will feature themes of paranoia, dissociation, unreality, and (eventually) manipulation quite heavily. as a disclaimer: soot's mental state is primarily based off the admin's experiences, but other plot points are not. proceed with caution.

i am going to be taking this blog fairly seriously! committing to the bit is fun and i will do this but in general i will be leaning away from overly indulgent/fluffy/silly interactions.

suggestive interaction is in general alright and might happen. however if you flirt with soot he probably will not give a fuck about you.

this blog is not a depiction of someone having a healthy time or at all an endorsement of how to handle situations. however please try to be sensitive in what you send in, considering that i am writing a lot of this from a personal place.

So I’m thinking about Ixeotol and the ways the language kind of changed between Ixalen, Eolen, and Paradise.

Ixalen generally have a more short and concise version of the language bc, to them, wasting time speaking is just a bitch move, so they get right to the point. They also just really don’t do conjunctions and have a different word order and rules, so a sentence like “It is so cold outside, so I brought you a jacket.” would come out more like “Cold outside. (I) brought your jacket.” The I is implied since there’s no other person specified, and the jacket belongs to the target.

Eolen just fucking suck and tend to have longer, more discriptive sentences, and they describe fucking everything if they get a chance to. They also are very much into conjunctions. The example “It is so cold outside, so I brought you a jacket.” sentence would roughly be “cold outside (description modifiers) and I have this jacket (modifier) and it’s yours”. there are specific suffixes that add on to the words themselves, and while generally the rule is Two per word, a lot of Eolen just ignore that.

Paradisian Ixeotol is actually very similar to Spanish in sentence structure and rules. For example, simple sentences referring to oneself won’t actually have a subject, so it’ll just be “brought your jacket”, the I is implied similarily to the Ixalen variety. Pronouns go before the verb, adjectives come after the noun, but Paradise doesn’t do the entire conjunctions or description bullshit that Ixal and Eol do, preferring to keep it closer to Spanish.

Last is Paradisian Pidgin which is used by a specific subsect of people in Paradise, but not by natural Ixalen or Eolen themselves. Like, the Lab-made Ixalen (Samba, Mamba), and trainees like Francis I and Kaden use it naturally, while others, like Acatl’paq and Savannah, kind of picked it up somewhere along the way. It blends a lot of the Eolen and Paradisian versions together, and while it does have Ixalen influence, it’s not really a big part of it. Paradisian Pidgin also is a more common language; while they’ll use it for everyday speech and casual conversation, trying to convey more complex ideas with it can be really challenging. It’s still a developing language.

SPEED: If I’m online when you reply, then usually as soon as I see it.

REPLIES: God I suck at keeping track of things. I do have a thread tracker for longer threads, so just tell me if you want me to add your thread to it, otherwise, know that I have a decent chance at losing it.

STARTERS: Starter calls and sometimes at random, or if we plot. Depends though.

INBOX: Send me anything and everything, and I’ll usually respond as soon as I see it.

SELECTIVITY: Eh, moderate I guess. I usually need people to have a rules/about page that I can find, and I won’t RP with any Sonic the Hedgehog, MLP, or IRL person blogs, and I won’t RP with Sans or Papyrus from Undertale. I’m also super iffy with Homestuck and DBZ blogs if I don’t already know the muns. This is more for my own comfort and safety than anything.

HONEST NOTE: If I ever word something weird and it doesn’t make sense or sound right, yell at me about it and I’ll fix it. This is mostly bc I use sign IRL and it uses a dif structure. I’m p good at not fucking this up though.

Also, if I ever, EVER do something to miff you off or hurt you, then please actually tell me about it. Not about that hiding-shit life and I would rather we sort things out and be cool, than be crashing over lines and things without knowing and hurting you more.

So this is mobile but I wanted to make a post of things associated with Tera + Their abilities, as well as the significance of Acatl.

**Associations**

The colour red - Terakawa themself actually doesn't like the colour red, but Paradise told them they had to like it.

Shields - Terakawa's signature item during the war they fought in was their shield. It was called Terrorguard (Teraguard bc I can't actually pronounce Terror) and allowed to block any physical blow, as well as mental/emotional attacks.

Fortitude and Endurance - A huge chunk of Terakawa's theme is being able to endure and push through anything, every time. They have the strength to do so and refuse to give up under any circumstances (not good!)

Sky - Since Terakawa's vehicle is airborn, they're associated with the sky and being free. Ironic since theyre in hell.

**Abilities**

Aside from standard werewolf shit-

Bites - Terakawa is a carrier for the disease Chroneverine, which Paradise gave to them. The disease basically strengthens the body and makes somebody unable to age/catch other diseases, but it makes them have rabies-esque behaviour for a few months after infection. During that few months, theyre incredibly weak mentally. The physical effects stay while the mental effects somewhat heal.

Terrorguard - Essentially just force fields, but they can break. A lesser version of their actual shield.

Time/Dimension hopping - Terakawa can go to any point in time (if they have their equipment/vehicle) and can go to the Paradise dimension at will.

**Acatl'paq**

A lot of Terakawa's theme is also focused on their need to dominate and control. They hate when anything isn't according to plan or when people don't do what they say. Their biggest fear is losing the control they have, and they base their identity on the "Commander" figure.

Acatl challenges every bit of that, and it often results in Terakawa physically lashing out to defend their self-image of a strong leader.

He doesn't do as told and he is not a planning type if person. He does whatever, whenever and has no regard for what Terakawa actually says. His role is to act as that roadblock to Terakawa's growth, through no real fault, just incompatible behaviour until either 1) Terakawa gets over their controlling behaviour, or 2) Acatl's wild spirit is crushed by Tera's authoritative take. Hopefully its 1.
