Now because of the attack on #WCK all aid is halting in Gaza. There are ships with tons of aid at sea stopping there couse to Gaza because of what Israeli military did by dropping a IDF drone attack and murdering 7 Civilian aidworkers who were helping feeding the 2 million Palestinians starving in Gaza, oh of those half are children. Anyone going to have the Steel balls to tell any of us with a fucking brain that wasn't done on purpose to stop all aid to Gaza!! That Netanyahu and Israelis are infact right at this very moment and every moment since this war started actively engaged in the GENOCIDE of Palestinian people. Because if you try, I definitely think you need to be slapped. I don't care if you're the President of United States or just some dude on the internet!

Nearly a month after 15 unarmed health workers were killed during a rescue mission in Gaza, Israel has finally acknowledged a chain of fatal military errors. An independent investigation—triggered by global outrage and a video found on a dead worker's phone—revealed the truth behind the strike that buried ambulances, a fire truck, and a UN vehicle under bulldozed sand. Initial claims from the Israeli military stated the victims were Hamas operatives. But new evidence contradicts these statements, showing clearly marked rescue vehicles with flashing emergency lights, and health workers shot at close range. One of the deadliest single incidents involving aid workers in recent years, this tragedy is being called a potential war crime by global humanitarian a\gencies. Was this truly an accident—or a violation of international humanitarian law? In this video:
Timeline of events leading to the ambush
Footage from the mobile phone of a slain aid worker
Official Israeli military response
Reactions from UN and OCHA representatives

Boko Haram: Buhari, UN condemn killing of four aid workers
Tumblr media
President Muhammadu Buhari and the United Nations Office or the Coordination of Humanitarian affairs (UNICA) in Nigeria have condemned the alleged execution of four aid workers by terrorists in North-eastern Nigeria. Buhari said that the defeat of evil by good is inevitable, no matter the pyrrhic victory evildoers seem to win. The President disclosed this in a statement by Femi Adeshina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, in Abuja on Saturday. He expressed sadness over the development and commiserated with the family and loved ones of the aid workers. The ISWAP faction of Boko Haram on Friday shared a gory video recording that detailed the execution of four out of the five abductees that remained in their captivity. The aid workers were staff of Action Against Hunger (AAH) working in the region to provide humanitarian assistance. They had been abducted near Damasak, Borno State in July and had been held by the insurgents in spite of efforts to secure their release. The murder of the four aid workers has brought the number of the abducted humanitarian workers slain by Boko Haram to five this year. This leaves only Grace Taku, a female humanitarian worker of the AAH, in Boko Haram custody. Her captors have now declared her their “slave.” “Evil will always be defeated by good at the end of the day. Whatever seeming victory evil records, eventually rebounds on the evildoer. “We are resolved to beat evil in this land, and we remain unrelenting till we achieve it,” the President said. He urged all insurgents to lay down their arms and rejoin decent humanity. The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, in a statement condemned “the announced execution of four aid workers by armed groups in Nigeria’s northeastern Borno State on 13 December, according to a statement released Friday night.” Kallon pleaded that Taku should be released at once. UN Humanitarian Coordinator said he was “deeply saddened and outraged by the news of the tragic killing of four aid workers who were held captive by armed groups for almost five months. “My thoughts go to their families, friends, and colleagues who are enduring unspeakable pain and hardship,” the UNOCHA statement quoted him. He said the four men were amongst the six aid workers who were abducted when their convoy came under attack near Damasak, in Mobbar LGA. “They were working on a health project implemented by the INGO Action Against Hunger. One of the drivers was killed during the attack and another was reportedly executed on 24 September 2019.” Kallon maintained calls for the release of other humanitarian workers still in captivity. “I plead for the immediate release of Grace Taku, the only woman who was in the ACF team, and whose whereabouts remain unknown,” he said. “I also call for the immediate release of Alice Loksha, a nurse and a mother, who was abducted during an attack in Rann in March 2018.” He described December 13 as “another sad day for the people of Nigeria and the humanitarian community supporting them. “These colleagues were devoting their lives to helping the most vulnerable communities in Borno State. Despite the risks, they were driven by the values of solidarity and humanity.” He said the United Nations and NGO partners in Nigeria are working to bring vital assistance to over seven million people in the crisis-affected states of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe. “They are increasingly the target of violent attacks. Seven aid workers have been killed since the beginning of the year, amongst 26 UN and NGO workers have lost their lives in the conflict since 2011. “Violence against humanitarian actors jeopardizes access to much-needed assistance for people affected by the armed conflict,” stressed the Humanitarian Coordinator. “I renew the call for all armed actors to respect the principles of humanity, neutrality, independence, and impartiality which guide humanitarian assistance, and to ensure the protection of aid workers.” “The armed group responsible for kidnapping six humanitarian workers in northeast Nigeria on July 18, 2019, today claimed that they have executed four hostages. This brings the number of fatalities to five. We extend our deepest sympathies to their loved ones and our colleagues in Nigeria.” Read the full article

Alhamdulillah, Allah sends help from where you don’t expect... Seen here is our brother Ibrahim - our Sierra Leonean liaison - who was offered support from Islamic and Arabic studies author Abdullahi Hassan in the UK. Not only has brother Abdullahi offered to custom tailor Islamic and Arabic studies books for us specifically, but he’s offered to go to Sierra Leone personally with us in order to teach our schools’ teachers... May Allah reward him immensely and allow huge progress and benefit to come from this for the Ummah. This is a big step forward. Alhamdulillah! 😁 #AfricanRevival #SierraLeone #IslamicSchool #Islamiceducation #dawah #Islamicstudies #ArabicStudies #Ummah #internationaldevelopment #aidwork #Islamicbooks (at Birmingham, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDzY_SNDSmi/?igshid=600rxvnej6a6

SO YOU WANT TO BE AN INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN WORKER❤...
I get asked all the time from parents, “Will you talk to my daughter or son, they want to work internationally and help people?”  It is important to share our knowledge and lessons learned and hopefully we can make the path a little easier for the next person. I love that there are young people in the world that still dream of making a difference, BEING THE CHANGE THEY WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD....I am impressed that parents are involved and trying to connect their children to “mentors”.  I would be more excited if the kids themselves would come to me, but this is our over involved parenting culture now, I am guilty of it myself. Knowledge is power and the kids that dig in, get curious, learn as much as they can, ask questions, network and hustle will probably be able to create whatever they dream of. So parents if you are reading this please forward it to your young person...The rest is for them.
Young people....I know I can offer you many different perspectives especially during this time of your life. Some of you are trying to figure out what is next, you are getting ready to go to college or trying to figure out what the heck to study in college or what are you even going to do with this expensive liberal arts degree that you worked so hard for.  I have been and done what you dream of doing. It looks way sexier from the outside, the reality of international humanitarian aid work as an actual career is very different from your fantasy.  If you are interested in this path it is because you have probably done a “mission trip” through your church to an impoverished part of the world, you may have helped build houses in Mexico or maybe you went to Haiti for a week to “help” orphans. These are all experiences that stretch us and give us a taste of “international work”.  I do believe there is great value in that. Do I think they “help” the people they are intended to serve? Well that is for another story....But I do believe any personal experience that takes us out of our comfort zone, pushes us to grow, and brings awareness to things we didn’t know before is awesome. I believe it makes us even more curious, gives us courage to keep exploring and connect to a life and purpose bigger than ourselves.  That is a good thing!
I am a straight talker about this stuff and not all people will love what I have to say... Young people you need to start really thinking about what you want the next 5, 10 years to look like... It is extremely valuable to think about, get real and answer these questions for yourself before you consider a career in international humanitarian work.
1. INTENTION:  Why do I really want to help impoverished people?   What do I personally gain from it? What do they authentically gain from me?   2. VALUE:  What expertise or knowledge can I offer that improves lives?  Or what knowledge or expertise would I want to learn to then be able to share and why? 3. MONEY:Do I need to make money? Am I OK being poor? Do I want to make "real" money?   What is my ideal livable salary?  4. LIFESTYLE: Can I be gone for extended periods of time?  Do I have a partner, friends, family etc...that support me having an unpredictable, possible dangerous job?  What do I want my work/family life to look like? Can I be physically uncomfortable?  5. EDUCATION: How much more school am I willing to do?  How much debt or how much will it cost my family? Will my actual job ever even be able to pay these loans back....do I care? 6. FULFILLMENT: I am happiest when..... What activities bring you joy?  What do you love doing?  7. DRIVE: My passion is.... What issues in our world really get you going? Be specific! You could have a few but start identifying them.  Childhood cancer, malaria....etc...specific issues you would want to dedicate your life to improving.
NOW WHAT?
Here is what to do after you answer these questions.
Start looking at jobs within the WHO and the UN
What looks interesting and what are the requirements needed to get these jobs? Get those requirements done!
If you are serious about international "aid/development" work join the Peace Corps after college. Look into now.
Thank you for wanting to make our world a better place! DO IT! We need you! Live a Life you Love! Live it Powerfully! Contribute Authentically!
I am hear for you...Let me know how I can help and support you.
Much love and respect,
❤Corinne

It’s not about honour or recognition. In fact, it’s not even about lending assistance to the Ummah and the oppressed. These are noble objectives along the path, but they’re just means to an end. The ultimate goal is purely to please Allah the Most High; to show Him just how much we love Him. Soon we’ll meet Him, and we hope that day He will tell us He is pleased with us, and will comfort us with: “O reassured soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], and enter among My [righteous] servants, and enter My Paradise.” [89: 27-30] Never forget this. #ikhlas #Allah #islamicreminders #ummah #africanrevival #SierraLeone #humanitarian #aidwork #purposeoflife #jannah #quran #sunnah #sincerity #pureintentions

The Decies in Ireland My Rich Cultural Heritage Never Discussed Until Now!
A style of writing called ogham writing, and said to be in use two thousand years before the introduction of Christianity, has been met with upon ancient megalithic structures or monuments in the south of Ireland. These monuments are marked in the ogham characters with words akin to "Desii in some places, such as Deag, Degaid, genitive form, while on several other monuments the actual ogham word is Deceed, Now, from very early times, centuries before Christianity, a tribe called Clanna Delgaid are mentioned as possessing territory in the south, including the west of Limerick, Kerry and Cork. And where have these monuments been found starting at the south-west of Kerry, Ballintaggart, the ogham inscription there is Maqi Deceeda (son of Decei). Within half a mile the strand at Dingle Bay, at Ballycrovane, where a great monolith overlooks the Bay of Kenmare; on the borders of the sea in the counties of Cork, Kerry, and Waterford and inwards to the Rath of Dunbel, in the County Kilkenny; thence to the eastern boundary of Kildare, ogham inscribed monuments, or other memorials, testify that the Degaid, or Deesi, left marks of their fame and greatness long before the suppose migration from Tara or Leinster could have taken place, such evidences proving that they were an original, independent people, who landed upon the south coast, and thence established their power and supremacy over the entire plains of Munster. These people whose history has a monumental record existing, and in evidence at the present day in the ogham inscribed monuments raised to their chiefs; or great men, we find mentioned in ancient annals as "Delgaid or Desii".
