Okay okay, Riddler x Riddler is peak, yes. BUT, what about the Riddlers that HATE eachother?😈

So there's a funny Venn Diagram that happens there because I do genuinely think Arkham Knight and Zero Year HATEEE each other ghjksdg twt oomf worded it best;

I also think a good deal of them would dislike 22. I think his "type" of intelligence wouldn't be very valued by them, they might even see it as a sort of savant parlor trick. He's good with numbers, so what? Most of these other Riddlers are building machines, MECH SUITS, I feel like to most of them, because he comes from a universe much more grounded in reality, they wouldn't really *get* that? They'd see his work as extremely mild compared to what they can do, because most of their universes allow for more extravagance.

I think some of the MOST tension would come from Arkham Knight, Hush!Riddler, Zero Year, and other *especially* megalomaniacal Riddlers attempting to control the rest of them, but the others obviously not going for it. I think ones like BTAS and Telltale would see the blood in the water and opt out of any overt argument, choosing to watch how everyone plays the game, and see where they can fit in the most opportunity for themselves.

Excuse my ramble here... But!! Since starting the blog and writing for these characters for you guys, it's always been the most, most important thing for me to capture them right and do each character justice...! 🥹🙏 I never want to disrespect or misrepresent them, that would be absjshs the worst thing for me... So everytime I write for a new character, I take extra care and time to know them as best I can!!

I know they're just video game characters, yes svshgs....!! But!! The AK Operators each have their own stories and traits that you can tell were made with care...even the 4⭐'s and 3⭐'s!! And sort of like how each Pokemon is someone's favourite, every AK Operator is someone's beloved! 🫶 I have that mindset with my writing everytime.... So... It's v v important to me that I do each character I write for well!! 🥹😭 To know it shows... Aaasbjss makes me v v happy!

It actually blows my mind that I’ve seen 3 people insult (the real) Talulah as prideful or something along those lines, because…

She is the opposite of a prideful person. Her keeping her problems to herself and taking everything on herself doesn’t stem from any arrogance. In fact, she actually suffers from a lack of self-esteem and self-value. She tries to make herself less important; she is completely willing to sacrifice herself for others, tried to not hate anyone, and she doesn’t want to be a symbol or special. The immense responsibility she takes on without allowing others in is not because she thinks she’s better than others. If anything, it’s because she values her own self and well-being less than that of others. Her insecurity, no doubt stemming from her past in Lungmen and with Koschei, keeps her from accepting anything less than perfection from herself, which is why her ideals were literally and metaphorically tied to her sense of self (and will to control/continue her own life). That’s the most base reason she was possessed to me. Koschei, the manipulator he is, who helped shape Talulah into who she is, preyed on her weaknesses and drove her to the breaking point where she no longer had the ideals that drove her and lost her will to resist.

another thing i like about hivers is that a "hiver assembly" is in essence just a really big hiver whose frame happens to also be a massive industrial space station (we're talking dimensions measured in kilometres)

like yeah they're the main "political units" of the Hiver Assembly in Aggregate

but also that name literally just means "the consensus between hiver assemblies", and each of those assemblies is called that because they're massive concentrations of hiver units, that is to say, the little cyborg roaches

like these are just massive intelligences that bud off smaller little hiver instances that just.. hang around in systems all over orbiting the more undesirable planets, and it's just a thing people accept because they're good for business, they extract resources more efficiently than colonial or hanni or castigar efforts could so it's usually cheaper to just let an assembly build itself in-system and buy it from them

but the end result is these weirdass roach DI swarms end up becoming one of the major powers in the setting despite being originally created as tools and also not actually controlling any systems as such

and the whole time there's basically just one really weird old-ass assembly mind in each orbital

and basically none of the pov characters seem quite aware of that at first

because hivers are just around, they're helpful, flexible, reliable, you find individual hiver assets all across known space

but they only ever see the small ones, and that leads them to interpret "assemblies" as basically hiver space-cities, unconsciously

and sure, assemblies do have a significant number of instanced little ones in and around them at basically all times

but those aren't the assembly
