a few of my hopes for season two!

-an explanation of Sammy’s strained relationship with her family

-Darius’s crush on Brooklynn was such a strange decision to me. I need this season to justify it.

-let’s hear more about Ben’s gf please. If she’s real or not, how they met, etc.

-the return of Raptor Lady aka Microbangs. She’s so cool I need her

-I want at least some of the camp fam to be genuinely angry at B when they find out she’s alive. They went through so much grief they deserve to be upset.

-as much yasammy as possible they are one of the best parts of the show

-some really good Kenji stuff. I don’t even care what. I just love him and I need him to have something interesting going on.

-I still really fucking want Brooklynn to say “What? Never seen a ghost before?”

What the absolute FUCK do you mean by “She’s a lot more humanized this season” and “will have the viewers worry about her”

Like….is she actually gonna have us, the viewers, sympathize for HER. The pale creepy microbangs lady…?? HER????? Of ALLLLL the characters….HER. What the hell do they have her going through this season?????????????

Like like HYPOTHETICALLY goes through something to the point where it’s so like fucked up that it’s universal outcome among the early watchers, aka the content creators, was to feel BAD for her, INCLUDING THE MEDIA ILLITERATE CONTENT CREATORS. Her HYPOTHETICAL journey is painted in a way that’s so obvious, so dramatic that the byproduct from the media illiterate men was SYMPATHY, CONNECTIONS (cuz Jurassic Outpost and others said that her characterization was emotionally relatable in a way), and UNDERSTANDING a FEMALE VILLAIN. This is a moment in history.

Like J.O (Jurassic Outpost) said, she’s much more humanized and characterized in this season, apparently to the point where she’s falling within the “misunderstood/sympathetic/morally grey” category.

And I say morally grey because the way J.O worded his sentence, and me being an overthinker, has me convinced somehow someway The Handler is supposed to be written as someone on like, a spectrum of morally grey, and I say spectrum because I think she falls into like a more anti-villain category, but at the same time, he didn’t EXPLICITLY say this, but he hints on her being morally grey but like a VERY dark shade of grey if you know what I mean. Like ethically speaking she’s a villain all the way, but somehow theres that little side of her that has the early viewers questioning her role.

I’m glad however season three zeros in on something I’ve been wanting since season 1 though. I won’t say exactly what it is, but I’ve talked about it so many times and how it should be a top priority for her, and they ACTUALLY DID IT.

Season three will be so peak. Yall aint ready for the essays I’m bouta pour out when I finish it.

The third(!) annual Sunhawk September is almost upon us. This year, we're going to celebrate with a Hawk and Thrush ship microbang!

How Does a Microbang Work?

Participants will have ~4 weeks to create and polish one completed piece based on provided prompts.

Creations must focus on a romantic or pre-romantic (aka The Yearning) dynamic between Aloy and Talanah.

What do we mean by creations? We mean ANYTHING you'd like to show us! Fanart, fanfic, comics, virtual photography, fanmixes, fanvids, crafts, you name it. This fandom is so widely talented and we would love to see any and all of the wonderful things you make.

NSFW work is permitted--just be sure to tag accordingly!

Minimum Content Requirements

As there will be a monthlong creation period for your final piece, the following minimum content requirements are set:

Fanart: one fully-rendered (to your own degree) illustration OR one full sketchpage

Comic: fully-colored panels or finalized lineart for B&W

Fanfic: minimum 2.5K words

Virtual photography: make those gals WORK the camera for a couple pretty shots. Editing optional!

Fanvids: Full-rendered and posted edits

Fanmix: completed playlist with cover art

Anything else....ask us!

On August 30th, event mods will post a varied list of prompts to this blog. Choose a prompt and begin working on your piece! (you can combine prompts from the list for added flavor or inspiration!)

Creators will work on their piece until posting day on Tuesday, September 26th: the last Talanah Tuesday of Sunhawk September!

So short hair, right?

• women: gay,

• nb's: gay,

• men: idk they're usually gay anyways

Chin length: GAY

Shoulder lenght

• women: probably straight,

• men: probably gamer/musician

• nb's: GAY musician

Middle back length

• women: if casual, straight, but femme is GAY

• men: straightest shit ever, unless styled, the bi.

• nb's: ???? (Do they actually have hair at this length?)

Longer:

• women: Lesbian butch, for some reason. Or straight and probably POC (native/indigenous)

• men: either the straightest or gayest guy you'll ever meet and there's no in-between.

• nb's: we get it, eldrich creature, and probably against amatonormativity too (aka poly, maybe aroace, something of the sort)

• V-kei haircuts: Gender nonconforming

THANKS FOR THE ASKS!!!! sorry for the late reply skjdksjds my wifi is still dead after around 25 days.... ok this is going to be long, so i compiled the repeated questions as much as i could.1. apple crisp: how do you relax?i cook. and eat. a lot. but right now i’m trying to eat less for health reasons, so i try to take a long walk (which helps when i’m feeling sad), or read a good sci-fi or fantasy novel, or take a nap. lately i’ve also really been into drawing and art history and basically anything on youtube which is super creative, so i watch a lot of youtube videos on that subject and make stuff! also, when i’m super stressed i play the piano and violin to get those bad feelings (tm) out.2. tiramisu: are you daring when it comes to makeup & clothing or do you like to play it safe? this is funny because i had a very daring sense of style at age 11 and then soon realized what i was wearing didn’t match/was super garish/generally looked bad. nowadays, i think i play it safe, especially because i don’t have a steady hand for makeup, but i like a really bold lip paired with classic, simple outfits with nice lines. HOWEVER if you think daring = cutting my own hair with kitchen shears, i have been doing that since i was 12. the other day, i cut my hair, and people said it looks french (it’s up to my nape and i have microbangs!) which i’m very thankful for because it was very very jagged at first lmaooooo3. fudge brownie: do you like your name?i have a lot of names because i’m filipino, but i like the one people usually call me by. i also like samantha a lot! which is one of my many, many names. 4. cinnamon bun: favorite salty snack? lordddddd i’m trying to stop being all about salty snacks this year because of health reasons but. i love sour cream and cheddar potato chips. and doritos. and chicken nuggets. and french fries. 5. pumpkin pie: what were your interests as a child?i have always loved reading and learning trivia and useless knowledge.. but strangely enough, i was a science kid (tm) and loved microbiology and astronomy and marine biology and was fascinated by chemistry-- everyone thought i would be a doctor someday,,,, i also loved music, so i taught myself piano when i was 8.

(source-- i have a boyfriend. we’re best friends and our souls just fit into each other). in a platonic, friendly, or familial sense, i also have found people whose souls-- artistically, humor-wise, or just in some mysterious way -- really seem to resonate with mine. i think everyone has the chance to find people like that if theyre lucky. 7. cherry turnover: who do you live with? i live with my family! my nuclear family, i love and adore them very much. 8. lemon tart: how many languages can you speak?hmmmmmmmmm.... english most fluently, filipino mostly fluently, some church latin that i’ve forgotten, and some italian. the last 2 need lots of practice. 9. chocolate chip cookie: how has your life changed over the past year?WELL considering that it’s the new year, it hasn’t changed drastically, but i think some major changes are that i live in a new place, know how to study properly, have learned to love myself and become more gentle with myself, and generally became a happier and kinder and more friendly person. i think it comes with the fact that i went through hell and fire last year, but learned to find the good things within myself and the world....10. one question nobody asked, but i’m answering anyway because i only found this out last year-- carrot cake: who is your celeb look alike?i look like a filipino, more curvy jodie comer (aka villanelle in killing eve). which makes me feel better about my freakishly high cheekbones and slightly asymmetrical eyes, because a friend called me “delicate” and “ethereal”, which was nice for a change. ok this was very very long, but i loved these questions, and am very thankful for the ones who asked them! hope you’re having a great new year, loves-- @soft-study-vibes, @midnight-walls, @paperadri, @ohshelearns, @galetsstuff, and some v kind anons!!!!
