First impression: ngl i kind of thought she would go crazy and die in the wilderness 😭 she was a rich girl running out of her medication okay? it made sense! everything changed after the seance tho <3

Impression now: she's the love of my life <3 so tall, so sad, so beautiful, so tragic, so brunette with big sad brown eyes <3 she's never done anything wrong ever, she's a victim of the narrative, she never wanted to be a leader, she just wanted to help her friends, she deserves nothing but happiness and love and safety

Favorite moment: OH this is tough. #1 is probably the seance. closely followed by uh everything adult lottie ever did??? when she gives natalie the tour of the compound maybe. bonus: the baptism, doomcoming lottie, and adult lottie judging the others <3

Idea for a story: unfortunately, adult lottie in the metal hospital or whever they sent her, chatting with all the ghosts of her past (laura lee, nat, even travis and javi) and then with callie!

Unpopular opinion: so i'll fight to the death against any villain lottie opinions, i genuinely think she's only ever trying to do good, but, hypothetically, i think it would've been so much fun (hot) to see lottie's evil arc. like yeah girl stay posessed, make increasingly disturbing rituals, talk to the dirt and wear your antler crown!!! and as an adult, after hearing "who the fuck is lottie matthews?!" i wouldn't have been upset to see lottie actually leading fucked up cult.... THIS IS HYPOTHETICAL

contemplating the (theoretical) alternate version of the ending of the heart killers that goes: deleted mid-lilly-arc scene -> matricide -> kant and bison with the cats -> fadel and style at the garage -> dance scene at the club.

it wouldn't have eliminated my concern about them getting caught (...would style's line about not getting sent back to prison lampshade the issue?), but it might have felt less jarring tonally; both the cats and the club are a little more subdued than the iceland tickets.

there are certainly things i like about the dance scene too! in particular it emphasizes a theme of loving openly and unafraid, in the reprise of fadel and style kissing on the dance floor and in (...walk with me) bison proudly boasting about having had sex in the prison yard. but while i liked seeing the four of them together and happy, ultimately concluding in the same place fadel and style had their last night feels to me more like stasis than freedom.

and i love the ending that aired: kant and bison traveling the world! fadel and style driving off into the sunset! there is….an openness to it that we don’t quite see in the rest of the show, and i'm glad we leave them on that threshold.
