My Club (Alec x Reader) Imagine

You sat on your couch as you watch everyone dancing and partying around you. There were so many different species here. You spotted Mundanes, Vampires, Warlocks, Foresakens and Shadowhunters. Wait shadowhunters you thought. Why were they here? You got up from you seat with your drink in hand and made your way towards them.

“The last time I checked I don’t remember anyone inviting shadowhunters to this club” You spoke as you appeared in front of them.

“They didn’t now move” A blonde haired boy said as he pushed passed you with three more shadowhunters following him. You started to follow them when they all suddenly stop. Quickly the blonde boy was in front of you.

“Stop following us” He spoke

“What are you doing here?” you questions

“You don’t need to know” He said

‘Jace she proably knows where he is ask her” A redheaded girl told him.

“Are you a warlock?” The blonde haired boy who you figuerd was Jace asked you.

“I am but what does that mean to you shadowhunter boy” you tease

“Magnus Bane do you know him?” Jace once again asked.

“Nope doesn’t ring a bell” you said as you turned around “Now get out of my club” you started to walk away when an arm grabbed you pulling you back. It was Jace.

‘Your club? The last time we checked it was Magnus Bane’s” Jace said. You looked around them, they had you trapped in.

“Well it’s not anymore” you rolled your eyes hoping they wold let you go but they wouldn’t.

“Your lying” A black hair girl said

“What if I am? It shouldn’t matter to you where a warlock is” You sass back

“We need his help with something” The other boy spoke “He’s not in trouble, so where is he? It’s his club so he must be here”

“Like I told you already this is my club too he’s no-“ you were saying but the redhead cut you off.

“Wait your club too? You never said that early” You cursed in your mind that you let that slip out in front of them. How could you be so stupid.

“Oops must of forgot” you said with a grinned “ I owned this club with Magnus”

“So you do know where he’s to” Jace yelled

“Not at the moment, I say he gone off with one of his lovers but I’m not sure so leave me a message and he will get back to you” you spoke as you took a sip of your drink.

“We need him now not later” the redhead girl demanded

“Well I can’t hel-“ you started to say but stopped when your vision started to get burry.Why was this happening?

“You put something in my drink” you yelled soon your feet gave out from under you and the black haired boy caught you.

“Why did we do this again” the boy asked

“We need to know where Magnus is’ Jace told him

    You woke up in a strange room. Soon everything came back to you.Those damn shadowhunters. You should of known they would pull something like this.

“Look at who’s awake” Jace said

“Who are you?” you asked

“You don’t need to know that” He answerd

“Well Jace since I know you, you might as well tell me who your fellows shadowhunters are”

“How do you know that?”

“You don’t need to know that, names?”

“Clary” the redheaded girl

“Isabelle” the other girl said

“Alec” the black haired boy said

 “That’s great. I’m not going to tell you where Magnus is so you might as well stop trying” you said standing up onto your feet. Truth is you didn’t really know where he was but they didn’t seen to care.

“Please we’ll do anything” Clary bregged

“What do you need his help with?” you questioned. There had to be a good reason if they were going through all of this trouble.

“Our friend that’s a werewovle got hurt and Bane is the only one that can help”

“Why him”

‘His magic is the only one powerful enough” Maybe you can help them you thought. After all you were warlock too with the same power.

“I’ll do it” you said

“Your not Magnus” Alec replied

“But I am a Bane” you told them “My magic is the same as my brother it will still work”

“Magnus has a sister?” Izzy asked

‘Yes and I’m right in front of you, never saw that one coming did you?” you laugh. All of them stood there in shock looking at you. You didn’t know if it was because you were Magnus sister or was it your weird sense of humor. Who cared anyway.

“Are we going to go or what?” you asked.

‘Yeah lets go” Isabelle said as they left, with you following not to far behind them.

    “Nice place you got here” Alec said while looking down at you while you crushed up spices for the spell.

“I’m trying to save your friend life and your talking about how nice my house is?” you laugh while Alec turned the color of a tomato. “Can you hand me some of those tea leaves?” you asked pointing towards the ones you wanted. Alec walked over to get them and handed to you while asking

 “Are you sure this going to work?”

“Yeah it’s one of Magnus spell I’ve seen him used it before.Trust me I know what I’m doing”

‘You seems different”

“What do you mean?” you questioned

“When we first got to you earlier you seems like a different person. Like you didn’t really care about anything. You had this whole evil vibe about you” Alec told you.

“Yeah I could see that, I guess when I’m protecting something like my brother and my club I put on a fake act so no one would really get me.” You made your way over to the sofa where their friend Luke was laying. You sat down in front of him and started to wave your hand over him, you were started to heal him as you could see the purple smoke that was coming from your hands. After a while you could feel your energy starting to fade.

“Alec come here” you yelled as he made his way over towards you. “Sit please” You grabbed ahold of his hand when he sat. “I’m sorry I need some of your energy I hope you don’t mind”

“If it helps him I don’t care” Without Alec’s energy you didn’t know if you could do it so when he let you, it took a weight off of your shoulders. Soon you were done and when you finally remove your hands you fell right back on Alec.

“I’m sorry” you said slowly as you try to get up.

“Hey don’t worry about it, just rest” you didn’t even have time to argued as you eyes slowly shut as you fell alseep with your head resting on Alec’s shoulder.

    “Alec we told you to help her, not sleep with her” Jace said as him and Clary enter into the house. Alec glared up at the boy.

“She resting, after all she used up all of her energy healing Luke.” He said as he pointed towards the man on the sofa.

“LUKE” Clary yelled as run over to the man laying down.

“Quite” Alec said “She’s sleeping”

“Oh what does Alec have a crush” Jace tease

“Shut it” Alec said. Right after that your eyes started to flutter open. You sat up from leaning against Alec. Your first thought was to look over at Alec

“Thank you” You said as you got up and walking over to a now sitting up Luke with Clary. He looked fine and you were happy that the spell worked.

“How are you feeling” You asked Luke handing him a drink from your table.

“I’m good,thank you for helping” He said as he sipped the drink.

“No worries, I have magic might as well do something useful with it every once and a while”

“Warlock? He questioned

“Oh yes, sorry I forgot you were out of it when I met you. My names Y/N Bane” you told him as you held out for him to shake his hand. He shook it back and asked “Would I be able to leave? I have a pack that needs me.”

“Yes you can leave, but try and take it easy for the next little bit”

“Don’t worry he will” Clary said for him as she helped him put on his jacket. Jace walked over to help the two and to also help them leave. As they left Jace said “Help the girl clean up Alec”.

“What do you need me to do” Alec asked

“Umm” you said looking around. You really didn’t need any help, you were just going to used your magic. “I think I’m good” you told him as you waved your hand around making your purple magic appear once again. You soon had everything back in place.

“I forgot about your magic” Alec stated

“Don’t worry about it, I think Jace did too” You said as you turn to face him. For the first time, you atcually got a good look of his face. His hazel eyes stared down at your Y/E/C eyes. You both leaned in when you heard a voice.

“Really Y/N? I leave for a few days and you already have a boy in our house” It was Magnus. You both pulled back and turned to look at your brother.

“Oh at least he’s cute” Magnus said as you stood there rolling your eyes. Giving your brother one last glance you pulled Alec towards your room.

The Moment

Notes: I know Alec is a gay character but this is an imagine so in my imagination…this time he wasn’t. I hope you like it ;)

It had been a long day and even a longer mission. You never thought it would end at the Pandemonium, protecting yourself and the team against so many downworlders while Izzy looked for the demon and Jace had her back. You ended up with a drink in your hand and another one down your back, making you smell like a bar during the rest of the mission. All you wanted to do was going back to the Institute, take a shower and get dressed.

The moment Jace told you Izzy had took care of the demon, you nodded and hurried out of the club. You were just exhausted after spending the whole time chasing that demon all around Manhattan. It wasn’t easy walking down those streets being invisible without touching anyone, you could guarantee that. When you finally walked into the Institute, you tried to go straight to your room but Lydia spotted you and stopped you the moment you passed through the doors.

“How was it?” Lydia asked. With a sigh you looked at her.

“Good. All done. Alec will tell you later, I need a shower”, you said as fast as you could.

“What’s that smell?” She inquired scrunching her nose.

“As I said… I need a shower”, you repeated, ruder this time.

Seeing you weren’t in the mood she just let you go, not saying anything else. You didn’t use to be rude to her but you just wanted to be left alone after a long day. The second you walked into your room and closed the door, you let out a deep breath as you kicked off your boots and walked to the bathroom turning on the water immediately. While the water got warmer you took fresh towels and clothes from your closet and went back to the shower.

The hot water against your body really relaxed you and calmed your nerves, making you feel better in a moment. You even felt bad for behaving the way you did with Lydia. Probably, you would apologise next day. Once you were done, you wrapped a towel around you and walked to the room, trying to dry your hair a bit with another towel as you looked for your underwear.

Finally you found your black bra and panties so you let the towel down and put on the panties. Just when you were about to take the bra from the bed the door of your room opened all of sudden.

“Hey Bea, are you alright? Jace told-oh god sorry!” You gasped and took the towel quickly to cover yourself with it as you heard Alec’s voice coming into the room.

“Damn Alec! Haven’t you heard about knocking?” You exclaimed as you hurried towards the bathroom where your clothes were.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were…you know” you heard him mumbling as you got dressed as fast as possible.

Damn Alec. His timing was always so freaking perfect. Yes, you wanted to have a chance with him but you were never alone with him and when you did, things like those always happened! It was frustrating. When you finished getting dressed, you walked to the room when you found Alec facing the door, with his head against it. You had to admit that it made you laugh a little.

“You can look now”, you said.

He looked over his shoulder first before turning around. His cheeks were completely red due to embarrassment, making him look even more adorable.

“I’m sorry for that. I should’ve knocked”, he said while you put the dirty clothes in the basket.

“It’s ok. Next time just remember”, you smiled a little and walked to stand in front of him. “So… what did you want?” You asked.

“Oh yeah, eh…” he cleared his throat a little. “ Jace told me you basically ran away as soon as we finished and I wanted to make sure you were ok”, he said finally looking down at you. Damn, he was so tall.

The gesture made you smiled warmly. He wasn’t a caring guy, he was more reserved and opening up was hard for him so you really appreciated his concern.

“I’m ok. It was just a really long day and I got that drink poured all over my back which just put me in a bad mood”, you explained crossing your arms. “I just wanted to get out of there”, you added with a shrug.

“Oh…” he said nodding. “I understand”, he said biting his lip. “Are you feeling better now?” He asked.

With a smile you nod and it was then when silence came in between you two. Probably that was the best moment to tell him how you felt about him but you just couldn’t find the words or even your voice to speak so you cleared your throat and looked away biting your lip.

“Well um… I should go. I kinda need a shower as well”, he commented awkwardly.

“Yeah…you smell”, you teased making him smile.

He opened the door of your room and walked out, looking at you once again before closing the door. For the second time since you got there, you let out a deep breath that was cut when Alec opened the door again, popping his head in.

“I just wanted to say that…you’re beautiful”, he said. This time it was yours to blush.

“Thank you”, you chuckled biting your lip. He nodded and closed the door again, disappearing, but he opened again.

“Would you like to watch a movie? Tonight? Maybe my room?” He proposed.

You raised both eyebrows surprised. Surely you would have never expected such thing from him.

“I’ll bring popcorns”, you said.

“Nice”, he nodded and closed the door again. This time you could hear his footsteps walking down the aisle so you could finally let out the nervous laugh you were holding and covered your mouth to shut up a scream of excitement. It was your moment.

You’re currently running after your sister, who’s running towards the clocktower on Piazza dei Priori in Volterra. Bella’s trying to save Edward, the bastard who ditched her like she meant nothing to him. You’re here for her, not for him. Someone has to look out for her.

When Bella throws herself at him, you can see he doesn’t believe it’s her. Once he gets it through his thick skull, they disappear inside and you follow closely. You try to tune out their reunion as much as possible. It gets cut short when two guards show up, telling Edward Aro wants to see him.

Carlisle had told you about the Volturi. There are three kings: Marcus, Aro and Caius. It looks like Aro loves to be the centre of attention while his fellow kings don’t care for it. He has the gift of seeing every thought you’ve ever had through a simple touch. You knew about Marcus’ trauma concerning the death of his wife. It made you sympathize with him. His gift is that he’s able to see the emotional connection people have with each other, more commonly used to see connections between mates. From what you’d gathered, Caius is the most ruthless and the only one without a gift.

The kings are surrounded by guards. There is Felix, who has extreme strength and his height is higher than average. Most of the time, he’s accompanied by Demetri, who’s one of the best trackers and seems very cheeky according to the stories. Last but not least, you have the witch twins, Alec and Jane. Aro praises them, they’re seen as the most dangerous weapon the Volturi has. Alec can cut out all of your senses and his sister can make you feel crippling pain.

When Jane walks towards you, a chill runs down your spine. You cast your eyes down and follow them quietly. If there’s one thing you want to avoid, it’s setting one of the guards off and giving them a reason to kill you.

When you walk in the throne room, your eyes immediately fall on Alec, who’s focused on his sister. But when your eyes meet, all the air leaves your lungs and your lips part slightly, letting a small gasp escape.

Aro’s voice makes you break eye-contact. What you didn’t know was that Marcus had seen the exchange the two of you had shared. It wasn’t hard for him to see the line that connects you and Alec. A fleeting smile comes over his face.

The tension rises when Aro tries to read Bella’s thoughts. Your eyes find Alec’s once more, oblivious to the fact that he already has his eyes on you.

Your eyes are being pulled towards Jane and then Bella after hearing they want to test if she’s immune to all powers. You almost take a step forward in a futile attempt to shield your sister, but Alec sends you a tiny shake of his head to stop you. Edward still tries, but Jane simply focusses her powers on him. You gasp in surprise, looking in horror at Edward, who seems to be in excruciating pain.

Jane refocusses her attention on Bella, but nothing happens. Only Aro’s laugh breaks Jane’s concentration. Both Marcus and Caius believe your sister is a liability, meaning they’re going to kill her. If they’ll kill Bella, they will definitely kill you because you have no connection to any vampire, no reason to keep their secret. You’re the real liability, not your sister. Why aren’t they discussing your life?

It looks like Edward was reading your thoughts, only he took it a step further. “Wait, Bella isn’t the liability here, her sister is.” Your mouth falls open, not believing he’s throwing you in front of the bus. “Bella’s loyal to me. Y/n is loyal to no one. She has no reason to keep our secret. She’s the liability. Take her life instead of Bella’s.”

You frantically look around, feeling like a deer caught in headlights. When your eyes meet Alec’s, the feeling quiets down. However, you’re surprised when you find anger in his eyes.

Marcus, who’s usually silent during trials, speaks up: “Y/n is linked to Alec. She will not be harmed.” Once again his face carries a fleeting smile while Alec moves to stand next to you. He forms a wall between you and the Cullens. 

His hand rests on the small of your back while he addresses his masters: “We can’t let her go with the Cullens. They proved they don’t care for her life. I wish to keep her here.” Aro, who puts the twins on a pedestal, agrees.

Alec guides you out of the room towards his private chambers. He sits you down on one of the chairs while taking a seat across from you. “This must be very overwhelming for you, but you’re safe here. No one is going to feed you to the wolves, just to safe their own skin. Everyone in the castle knows you’re with me and I will protect you.” 

You nod, trying to find your words. “It is a bit overwhelming, but thank you.” You take his hand in yours and give it a little squeeze. 

“Of course, mia amore, always.” He kisses your hand soft and sweet. A promise for the future.

You were just changing into some comfortable clothes when someone walked in on you without knocking. You clutched your shirt to your chest and looked at Alec, who stood in the doorway. He looked at you for a moment with an unchanging expression, before he apologized and walked out.

 "Izzy what did I ever do to your brother? He hates me. Always looking at me with that same expression on his face. He never laughs either or at least not when I'm around." You asked your friend after you had trained together. She snorted and began to laugh.

"That's not funny! Seriously have I done something wrong?" You asked.

"He doesn't hate you, he likes you. It's Alec we're talking about. What did you expect? Did you really think he'd just tell you."

"Well, that is what any normal person would do." You said, sighing.

"Yes, but Alec is not normal."

 Later you went to his room and knocked on the door. He yelled to come in from the other side of the door.

"Do you have a moment?" You asked as you entered. He looked up at you and nodded.

"Sure, Y/N."

You sat down awfully close to him on the bed. "Can you zip up my dress, please?" You asked him turning your back towards him.

"Uh...yes, sure.." He said a little irritated at your request. He did his best not to stare at you too much. When you turned around you had to suppress a smirk. Izzy was right, he was terrible at these things.

"Izzy told you didn't she?" He asked when he saw you, trying not to smile.

"Told me what exactly?"

He rolled his eyes. "That I like you."

"She might have." You answered.

"I'm going to kill her..."

You glared at the brute guarding your door. It was obvious you hated being here. So obvious in fact that Aro deemed it necessary to keep a guard stationed outside your door so you didn't try to escape. You didn’t bother learning the man’s name. That would be a sign that you actually cared about anything other than getting the hell out of here.

“Y/N?” Came that pain in the ass voice. The voice that belonged to the vampire that started this mess. Alec.

He walked in with a half dead human in tow, obviously fresh from Heidi’s pull. “I brought you blood.” He offered kindly.  That was another thing. He acted so civil towards you. Like you weren't being kept hostage. You were sure that he just ignored your discomfort because that’s what the Volturi did. They ignored everyone else’s needs but their own.

“I'm not thirsty.” You said stubbornly. It was a blatant lie. You hadn't fed in weeks but you refused to take anything they gave you. This was the fifth human Alec had brought you and you were sure it would end up like the other four. Left in the corner to rot until they were forced to take the body away because of the smell.

Alec huffed and tossed the human to the ground, the unconscious body landing on the stone floor with a ‘thump.’ You looked away in disinterest and waited for him to leave, but he didn’t. Instead you felt his hand cup your chin in a strangely intimate caress. He tilted your head up so your eyes met his.

“As lovely as your eyes are now, I think a stunning crimson will do you wonders.” He purred. You raised your eyebrow in question at the sudden 180 in his attitude. What is he trying to play here? You decided to ask him instead of questioning yourself. “Why are you touching me? I don’t believe I gave you permission to touch me.” You snapped.

“But you're not pulling away, are you?” The retort made you freeze for a moment. He was right, you didn't try to move away. It felt rather nice honestly. But you didn't want him to know that.

You swatted his hand away with a frown. “You can go now Alec. I want to be alone.” His face dropped its confident smile and it was replaced with a more frustrated and upset frown. “Very well. Enjoy your evening.” He mumbled before leaving. Once you were sure he was gone you went to your mirror.

You stared at your face, cautiously running your fingers over where he had his hand. It still tingled from his touch and you weren't sure what to make of the feeling. While still rubbing your chin you glanced at your black eyes, the obvious sign of thirst for vampires.

As lovely as your eyes are now, I think a stunning crimson will do you wonders.

You bit your lip and looked over to where the human was waking up. Without another thought you attacked it, sinking your teeth into its neck with ease. You were too focused on the blood to notice the set of red eyes watching you from a creak in your door. Alec smiled to himself and left for the throne room, his once lost confidence now back 100%.

Your boyfriend?”, Alec asked after he took the information, you had given him, in. “He is really nice and cares about me”, you tried explaining, knowing that most Shadowhunters had problems with being in a relationship with downworlders. One of the reasons why you hadn’t told anyone till now.

But Alec was your best friend. You wanted him to know and to accept it. You always knew his secrets and kept them to yourself so you just wanted to give something back.

“Are you happy, (y/n)?” You didn’t have to say something. That smile that started spreading on your face seemed answer enough to Alec. “If he hurts you, I’ll kill him!” “I think Raph knows that”, you suggested and finally Alec smiled too.

You find it hard to swallow as your eyes burn, and blink open. At first all you can make out is the dark ceiling in front of you, but slowly the fixtures came into view. Your head turned slightly and made note of your two friends, both slumped together in a rather uncomfortable position. One of their legs over yours.

You gently slipped away from the satin sheets, and you friends various limbs. Your throat only constricting further. A slight headache overcoming your senses. You figured you just needed some water.

You swipe the the key to the hotel room with some change from the bedside table, sighing as you shut the door as quietly as possible behind you. You pad towards the vending machine, purchasing a water bottle, seeing a figure on the common veranda for your floor.

He seems to be a boy you’re age, from his profile at least, he’s staring right out into the night sky. You sense an air of danger, but you charge forward anyway. Hesitantly making your way towards the boy.

“Can’t sleep?” You ask, his head snapping towards yours. His crimson eyes hidden away by the night sky. But they make your heart flutter when they direct themselves towards you.

The boy before you was beautiful, in every sense of the word. His hair a thick mane of chocolate brown, wide eyes, and a straight nose. Creamy ivory colored skin, flawless like fine porcelain. Two thick eyebrows hung over dark eyes, long eyelashes casting a shadow on his cheeks. A pair of full lips pulling into a smirk, no doubt at the flush that was coming over you from being spotted in your fluffy pink pajamas without a bra by a cute boy.

“Yes, something like that.” An unusually pleasant smile curling into his lips. “What about you?” His eyes flickered to your clothes before meeting your own. A flush fanned across your neck, creeping over your body.

“I think I got sick, on the way back I got caught in the rain.” A frown creased onto his face, a cold hand brushes against your forehead. Your eyes close shut, as a sigh escapes your lips. His hand feels like an ice pack, relieving you from the headache for a moment. You have to suppress a frown when he pulls away

“You feel a little warm, have you taken any medicine?” You shake your head, taking another sip of water.

“If it gets any worse by tomorrow I’ll take some. I really don't want to waste any of my time y'know? “ He nodded, but there was a sort of clouded look in his eyes. A hidden emotion you couldn’t quite place, and so in the heat of the moment, either to grasp his attention or to elude your own thoughts of the upcoming awkwardness you spoke:

“My name’s (Y/N), by the way.” You said, and to your surprise he smiled. It was the most beautiful smile you had ever seen. His eyes grew soft, and his entire face seemed to soften. He shone like a diamond, and the sudden urge to pull him into our arms and protect him surged through you. 

“I’m Alec.”

    “JACE!” You screamed as you entered the building and saw your brother. You ran right up to him, giving him a bone-crushing hug. He looked down at you smiling, hugging back. Clary who was standing right next to him rolled her eyes and walked over to Izzy.

“They’re all over Jace,” Clary looked at the two with a frown.

“Yeah I think that’s the point, they haven’t seen each other in a while” Izzy replied smiling at the two siblings. You and Jace started to walk over to the others. Clary who was clearly jealous walked up to you with a smirk and held out her hand for you to shake.

“I’m Clary, Jace’s girlfriend,” she said. You could tell she thought you and Jace had something going on. You smiled and then shook her hand while laughing.

“I’m Y/N, Jace’s twin”

You could see the shocked look on Clary’s face. You could tell what she was thinking, she thought you and Jace had something. You had seen it before with some of his other flings.  It was understandable, Jace didn’t really look like you. The only thing that you guys had in common was the same eye colour.

“Don’t worry Clary I’m not planning on going out with my brother anytime soon plus I’m happily in a relationship with someone that’s not him”

“Sorry about that, I don’t really know many people around here and I just assumed,” Clary said embarrassed, her face turning red.

“It’s fine,” You turned towards your best friend and as quick as you did Izzy crushed you in a hug just like you did to Jace minutes ago. 

“I was waiting for you to notice me girl”

“I can’t breathe Izzy,” you say out of breath as Izzy let go. “Thank you, I missed you so much”

“By any chance do you know where your brother is?” You asked her, knowing you guys would catch up much later.

“He’s in his room finishing up some work for mom,” Izzy answered.

“Thank you,” You said your goodbyes to the others and headed towards his room.

“Why do they want to know where Alec is?” Clary asked, clearly not getting it.

“I guess they miss their boyfriend,” Jace said with a shrug. Leaving a shocked Clary standing there once again.

   You walked up to Alec’s bedroom door. It was slightly open, it was just enough for you to be able to look in. He was reading papers that you assumed Maryse gave him to go over. You could tell by looking at him that he was stressed and tired. He always seems to overwork himself when you weren’t here. You knew it was because he misses you and the more he worked he wouldn’t think about you.

“How is my hard worker?” You teased when you entered his room. Alec looked up from the papers in his hand and smiled at you. His mood improves just at the sight of you.

“You’re back early, why didn’t you call and tell me” Alec questions

“I wanted to see your face when I surprised you,” You and Alec walked to meet each other in the center of the room. He opens his arms signalling for you to walk into them. You guys stare into the eyes of each other for a while just admiring. It’s been weeks since you guys last saw each other. It's been the longest time apart since you have known each other. You had to go away on a mission for The Clave and what The Clave wants they get.

“Kiss me,” Alec said. You crashed your lips into his. Your guy’s kisses were always slow and filled with passion. You loved the feel of his lips; they were beyond soft, you felt like you could melt into them.

 “Oh sorry,” Someone said from the doorway. You and Alec pulled away from each other to find his mother Maryse standing there. When you saw her your face turned into the colour of a tomato from being embarrassed, that she had just caught you guys making out.

“I hate to bother you guys, but I need Y/N for some final paperwork about their mission, plus you have work of your own to do Alexander” Maryse stated but smiled at you two.

“I’ll be there right away” You replied.

“Good,” Maryse said as she left for her office.

“Babe can’t you wait” Alec wined, he wanted to hold you for just a little while longer.

“Sorry duty calls,” You said as you kissed him on the cheek and headed out.

“We’ll finish this after” Alec shouted

“Maybe not, go find the other Wayland to help you” You yelled as you left the room. Alec rolled his eyes before sitting back down to finish work of his own.

MASTERLIST

You didn't really remember for how long you had been living at the New York's Institute, just like you didn't know when you became part of the Lightwood family. All you knew was that you loved being there, you loved being part of the family.

Izzy had always been your confident, your best friend and also your opponent. You two trained together since you were old enough to beging your training. Ever since, every practice had turned into a competition. You had so much fun teasing her just like she enjoyed defeating you. Max wasn't around too often but when he was, he loved spending all the possible time with you. Playing football, training, playing board games and, of course, annoying Alec.

He had always been the quiet and grumpy one. You used to think he didn't want you around but Izzy explained that it was just how he was. So you decided it would be easier to forget about it and live your life. You tried not to bother him since he was kind of intimidating and you never knew what to say around him. You knew why, you had admitted the crush you had on him a while ago but you forced yourself to hide it. It was easier than rejection.

"Nice shot" you congratulated Alec after watching him practising with the bow.

"Thanks" he simply replied as he moved to fetch back the arrows.

"Will you teach me someday?" You asked watching how he got ready to shot again.

"You're good enough with the sword" he said making you roll your eyes.

"I don't want to be good just with one weapon" you replied.

"I'm busy, okay?" He snapped, surprising you with his sudden harsh tone.

"What's your problem?" You asked crossing your arms.

He turned around and looked at you like he was really about to answer your question. His eyes kind of scared you, making you take a step away which made him frown. He sighed and just put the bow and arrows in its place.

"Nothing" he said. "I'm just busy", he added walking by your side without even giving you a second look.

After that moment you didn't see him in the whole day. You asked Izzy and apparently he had gone out to patrol or something. It was strange since you had heard him many times saying how much he hated patrolling. With a sigh, you went to your room, knowing he just left so he didn't have to see you.

You spent the rest of the day in your room, listening to music or reading, or just staring at the ceiling, wondering what on earth you had done to Alec to treat you the way he did. Eventually you ended up falling asleep.

You didn't know what time it was when you suddenly woke up covered in sweat. You just had an horrible nightmare that had woken you up, feeling so scared and lonely that you didn't dare going back to sleep. Not on your own at least.

Slowly, you got off bed and changed into your pajamas since you had fallen asleep in your regular clothes. Then, quietly so you wouldn't wake anyone up, you left the room and walked to the end of the aisle, where Alec's room was. You didn't know why you were looking for his comfort but, somehow, you felt like seeing him would calm you down.

After knocking a couple of times on his door and receiving no answer you decided to just walk into his room and close the door. It was dark but the moon provided enough light for you to know where you had to go. You spotted Alec completely asleep on his bed and smiled. Maybe this was wrong, maybe he would kick you out but now that you were there, there was no way you were going back to your room where you knew you wouldn't be able to sleep.

"Alec?" You asked climbing on his bed. He moved and groaned but didn't wake up. Biting your lip, you shook his arm, waking him up.

"(Y/N)?" He asked sleepy. You nodded biting your lip. With a sigh, he let his head fall back on the pillow. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I..." You bite your lip, knowing what stupid It was. "I'm sorry to wake you. I... Had a nightmare" you explained.

"Really?" He said looking at you, his eyes brighting in the dark. "You woke me up because you had a nightmare? What are you? Five?"

He rolled over and laid on his side, turning his back to you. If you were honest to yourself, that was the exact reaction you expected but it still wasn't nice.

"You died" you mumbled.

"What?" He asked turning to look at you.

"In my nightmare... You got killed by a demon and no one could save you" you told him. "I... Needed to make sure you're okay" you added before starting to climb off the bead but suddenly your wrist was caught by his big hand.

"Wait...come here" he said pulling your arm.

You looked at him hesitantly but you ended up moving closer to him. He managed to move you so you ended up lying by his side, with your head on his chest, one of his arms around your back and the other hand stroking your hair.

"I'm here okay?" He whispered. You nodded closing your eyes as you felt your fear running away. "And I'm going to be for a very long time" he added making you smile.

"Thank you" you whispered. He kissed your head and squeezed you.

"Tomorrow I will start yout bow training" he said. You raised your head to look at him surprised. "I need someone to protect me if I'm attacked from behind right?"

You smiled widely and hugged him tight, pressing a kiss to his cheek before laying down your head on his chest again.

"Thank you" you said happily.

"You're welcome" he replied. "Now sleep" he added rubbing your back, relaxing you until you fell asleep in Alec's arms.

You had to admit to yourself that it had been a long time since you slept that good. You didn't know what Alec had but when you woke up you felt like you had been sleeping on the clouds, you barely even remembered the nightmare. You turned around in the bed and saw that he was still asleep, an arm stretched out and the other one over his bare stomach. You bite your lip taking in the sight. He was gorgeus.

"Are you staring at me?" He suddenly asked, almost scaring you.

"Were you awake?" You asked. He chuckled and opened his eyes. Why didn't he smile more often?

"I've been awake for a while now" he admitted. "You're cute when you're sleeping"

A blush was formed in your cheeks due to his words so you forced yourself to look away, making him laugh again, You felt the bed moving and then, his hand was on your face, making you look at him.

"I'm not teasing you, okay? I'm just stating a fact" he shrugged.

"Well thank you" you whispered, still blushing. "Are you still willing to train me?" You asked, afraid that last night's kindness was a product of the tiredness.

"On one condition" he said scooting a bit closer to your face, so your lips were inches away.

"What condition?" You whispered, moving your eyes from his to his mouth alternatively. He smirked and bite his lip.

"That you sleep with me every single night from now on" he said. You opened your eyes widely, definately not expecting that. "I... I want you here. Always. I loved having you in my arms and...waking up next to you" he confessed. "So...will you?" He asked.

It took you a time to reply since you didn't see this coming at all. You thought you would get along now but you never thought it would escalate so quickly. After a couple of minutes completely lost in his eyes you nodded your head slowly, making his smile grown and the distance between you two disappear when he placed his lips on yours on trhe sweetest kiss you had ever had.

Alec watched as you talked with one of the other shadowhunters. You were always nice to everyone and didn't realize when people were flirting with you. Alec did. He didn't want to make a scene but the guy was pissing him off and he obviously couldn't keep his hands to himself.

"Could you keep your hands off of her?" Alec tells the guy in a stern voice after he walked over to you and puts an arm around your waist.

"Why?" He snorts, "Is she your girlfriend or what?"

"Alec don't..." You say quietly so he's the only one to hear you. You really did not want him to start a fight.

"Yeah she is." He steps closer to the guy, his hand on his weapon.

The other one tries to draw his weapon but as soon as he reaches for it, Alec kicks his feet away from under him and he hits the ground with a dull sound.

You roll your eyes and take his arms, pulling Alec away from the scene.

"Was that really necessary?"  

"Definitely." He adds with a smirk.

"You know jealousy isn't attractive."

"I'm not jealous just protective."

You were typing away at the computer, making sure all of your paperwork got done. You had to update passports, forge birth certificates, and monitor the news for any hint of vampire activity.

“Y/N.” You looked up to see the one vampire that had been haunting your dreams. Alec. Your heart started racing in your chest. “Good morning Alec. Can I help you?” You greeted as professionally as you could. It was hard because Alec had a way of making you melt in your spot. 

The Volturi were not known for their love of humans, so you did your best to make sure you were as helpful as possible.

You really did not want to become dinner.

Alec rolled his eyes and played with the pencil holder on your desk. “You can drop the formalities Y/N. I’d like to think we’re friends, are we not?” You stared up at him, not bothering to hide your shock. Did he just say ‘friends’? As in he wanted to be in my company?

His confidence visibly faded away the longer you took to answer. “I see. I suppose I assumed incorrectly.” He stated in a stiff tone. You snapped out of your daze and shook your head. “No no, I just assumed you were above making human friends.” You admitted quietly. 

Alec’s cold exterior melted away and he let out a chuckle. “You’re right about that... you’re different though.” He eyed you with a sly smile. “Interesting. You intrigue me. So I’d like to consider you a friend.” At this point you were sure this was a dream. Only in your dreams would Alec be this sweet to you. 

Alec stood straight and set your pencil holder back in it’s original spot. “I must get back to Aro. Until next time Y/N.” He winked and disappeared in a flash.

You sat at your desk with wide eyes, trying to register what just happened. “He wants to be my friend... He finds me interesting.” You couldn’t help but smile at the thought.

What you didn’t know was that around the corner, Alec was watching you with an identical smile on his face.

I smiled as I walkes down the hall, with a bag of cookies Izzy and I attempted at making.

Jace and Clary are her victims as Izzy likes to say. Judging from their reactions, she’d know what to change and what to stay the same.

And my “victim” was Alec, my boyfriend. I’ve already tried the cookies, and they seem fine. Hopefully Alec likes them!

Knowing Alec, he was probably in the training room about right now.

A bright smile spread across my face, thinking of Alec’s reaction and compliments as he tried the cookies.

 Once I neared the training room, I furrowed my brows when I heard giggling.

  Alec does not giggle. 

“So buff!” A foreign voice praised and giggled once more. I scrunched up my features, who the hell was with Alec? When I reached the training room, I arched a brow at the scene being displayed before me. 

A couple of younger shadowhunters were giggling and squealing at the sight of Alec. “Like wow! Your six packs is amazing!” One of the younger hunters flirted and I felt my eye twitch.

“Um…thanks?” He awkwardly replied and went back to training. 

“I wonder how you were let out of heaven,” Another purred. “You seem like a hotalicious angel.” I clenched my fist and tried my best to stay calm. 

“You know what, I bet that (Y/N) takes you for granted, right Alec?” Another winked at him and placed her disgusting hand on his arm. 

 My eyes widened and I felt my body burn in jealousy and anger. How dare anyone lay a hand on my boyfriend like that!? Knowing he’s already taken!!! “Calm down (Y/N)… Calm yourself…” I whispered to myself, and continued to watch those idiots hoplessly try to flirt with my guy. 

 Alec was being oblivious to their flirting, which was a good and bad thing I guess… 

I narrowed my at the younger shadowhunters and walked into the training room. 

“Betcha that (Y/N)–” 

“Hey babe.” I said behind them, with my voice laced with menacing and dark tone. 

 The younger shadowhunters froze and Alec stopped what he was doing and smiled at me. They knew they were screwed, messing with me meant hell.

“Hey (Y/N).” Looking into those dreamy orbs of his, made my anger fade away.

“H-hello (Y/N).” One of the nervous younger ones greeted, causing my anger to rise again. 

Sending light glares their way as I waltzed over to Alec, handing him the cookies and placed a kiss upon those lovable lips of his. 

“What’s this?” He asked, leaning in for another kiss.

 “A sweet surprise.” I mumur against his lips and deepened the kiss, showing off whom Alec belonged too. 

 “W-we’ll be going…” The younger shadowhunters frowned and shivered. They left the room and I felt Alec tug on my wrist. 

 We went back to his room, and I watched in excitement as he opened the box. 

“Cookies.” He said surprised with a smile playing at his lips. 

“Try one already!” I urged him and smiled wildly when he bit into one. 

“They’re really good.” He grinned as he praised the cookies. My heart fluttered at his appraisal. 

I sat down next to him, and instantly jumped away.

“What’s with you?” He arched a brow as I covered my nose. 

“You smell terrible.” I scrunch up my features, and try to fan away his scent with my hand.

A mischievous smile spread across his features and I scotted away even more knowing what he was about to do. “Come here (Y/N)!~” He pulled me closer, trying to pull me into a sweaty and smelly hug. 

 “No!!~” I swatted his arms away, and tried to run but he grabbed me by the middle, engulfing me into a hug. “Oh you smell so bad!” I pinched my nose and gagged. 

He merely laughed and placed a kiss on my neck. 

The perks of dating Alec Lightwood, him teasing you with nasty sweaty and smelly hugs. But I wouldn’t trade him for the world.

“Go please take a bath or something, you reek.” I tell him, and he rolls his eyes at me. 

“Be back in 10.” 

 “You better smell like a freaking flower bed or something when you get out or else I’ll send you back in.” I jokingly threaten, and he smiles at me before kissing my cheek. 

 “We’ll see.”

“It’s not ‘we’ll see’, it’s a ‘will do’ Alec!” I yell as he entered the bathroom, laughing. 

“Damn, you smell good.” I hummed as I sniffed him once he exited the bathroom shirtless. 

 “Wasn’t in the mood for another shower.” He gave me a lazy smirk and pecked my lips. 

“Good.” I winked at him, and he started to rummage through his drawers for a shirt.

“I so don’t know what he sees in that (Y/N).” I heard irritating voices come from down the hall. 

A scowl spreads across my features, clearly those idiots didn’t know whom Alec belonged to! Well now’s a great time to show them, wouldn’t you agree?~ 

I peeked out of Alec’s room, and a smirk spread across my face. “Alec, come here.” I quickly say and he turned around with a quizzing look. 

He walked over to me, and I grabbed his face, I placed my lips on his jaw and sucked on it. 

"(Y/N)?" His voice held a questioning tone.

I heard a small gasp from outside and smirked against his skin. Once I pulled away, I admired my fine work. 

A nice and dark purple like bruise, a love bite as I like to say was there on his jaw. A proud and beautiful marking it was! 

 "What was that?" He arched a brow at me and I gave him an innocent look. 

I moved away from him and turned around, outside stood those shadowhunters that dared to try to flirt with Alec. 

 Alec walked away back to his dresser and grabbed his shirt. I gave them all smirks, knowing they had seen the mark I placed on Alec. 

I then placed a hand on my hip giving them all disapproving glares and hmphed at them while lightly shook my head.

They all just stared with wide eyes and lightly gulped, they ran for the hills in a blink of an eye,

Next time I won't be so nice.

 "Jealous?" Alec's teasing voice rang through the room.

 I turned and he was buttoning his shirt. Staring at him through the mirror and I scoffed at his claim. “Never.” I fiercely denied, and crossed my arms.

"Possessive much?" He continued to egg on and I shot him an annoyed look. He merely just laughed. "I like it though."

 I rolled my eyes at him with a light laugh. Oh angels, this boy will be the death of me. 

"But you should let me return the favor." He winked at me, his tone was low and musky. With me he was different, more open than he is with the others, and less awkward... sometimes... 

"Maybe you should." I reply back with a light smirk, and smiled when another mischievous smile spread across his face.
