M's Cores

Here's all the cores M's taken under his wing. C2 got his nickname as a joke as the name is normally two 'C's, but C2 seemed to like it and it stuck. C2 is very attached to M, usually literally and it's very rare not to see the core resting on M's head or shoulders or clinging to M's arm.

CS got his nickname because he's the scared CC. CS was one of the first cores captured by Alice and was alone and isolated for a long time. CS is often hiding under furniture or under M's shirt. CU's nickname also started as a joke because CU always watches everyone with a wide eye so Gregory joked that CU can 'C U'. CU is very curious and likes to watch people do their various activities, usually from a high position such as on M's head.

EV got her nickname because Gregory refers to her as the 'Evil E'. EV is basically a feral cat, hissing at those that get too close that isn't M or her fellow cores and likes scratching things with her claws. She's also pretty protective of CS, though they were form different squads.

MN got his nickname because he's a "Mini" version of M. MN tends to act as the leader of the cores whenever M or Vanessa aren't around. Otherwise, he just sticks close to EW and CD, as they're his squad/siblings.

EW got her nickname because she hiss at things she finds disgusting, such as Gregory's messy room. She acts like a pampered princess and loves accessorizing as best she can in her current state.

CD got his nickname because he loves music and often communicates his mood via short melodies.

Uuuhhh well here’s 5 books I think are absolutely phenomenal??? In no particular order

The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black: The way this book spoke to me at 16 when I read it canNOT be over stated. The realization that she had asked to be a hero without knowing the cost, only the ideal. The looking back on her past with a rose colored lense because she could not bear the truth of her childhood. Her brother being allowed to be gay and happy. When I tell you I saw myself written in these pages and wept. Anyway it probably doesn’t hold up without that interaction BUT! It’s damn near the top of my all time books.

The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See: if you’re not ready to read unapologetically honest history that doesn’t look away from its brutality do not read this. Or any other Lisa See novel for that matter.

We Ride Upon Sticks by Quan Berry: Hope you’re ready to laugh your ass off

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alice E Harrow: I lived how it told two stories and I continue to be obsessed with Harrows writing. Also her short story The Six Deaths of the Saint is incredible everyone go read it.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee: Do I like explorations of parental abuse in queer stories? Yes yes I do and I do not apologize.
