We are heading into severe weather season in the US soon (and by soon I mean tomorrow) (disclaimer, this is all general advice. pay attention to the official weather sources in your area for alerts and important information. I am not an expert, weather info is just a hobby for me.)
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Weather Service (NWS) has (for now anyways) the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) which is a great source of information to stay weather aware.
The SPC puts out Convective Outlooks. These show where thunderstorms and severe weather have the potential to pop up. (With temperatures warming up, the movement of warm air leads to convection in the atmosphere which results in thunderstorms and sometimes severe weather. There is a good blog post going into more detail here)
Specifically, the outlooks are:
Day 1 Outlook (today and early tomorrow morning)
Day 2 Outlook (the next 24 hours following early tomorrow morning)
Day 3 Outlook (the next 24 hours)
Day 4-8 Outlook (the next days, but these are never too certain due to the way the models work)
These outlooks are timestamped with Zulu time aka Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). You can see how that compares to your local timezone here.
Today (3/13/25), the weather outlook is okay, just a slight risk of thunderstorms across the US. However, Friday (3/14/25) and Saturday (3/15/25) both have a widespread risk of severe weather including strong winds and tornadoes.
If you are in any of these colored regions, stay weather aware! Now, this doesn't mean you have to panic, but keep an eye on the weather reports in your area!
I tend to check the SPC in the morning so I know when I have to really be paying attention to the weather for the day/coming days.

Tips on staying weather aware, it's important to have access to several weather sources.
Check the SPC for updates!
Find your closest NWS Forecast Office via zip code on weather.gov
Keep an eye on the local news and local weather reports
Consider getting a weather radio! (info here from NWS) This is good for if you lose power/internet as you can check the automated radio stations near you
Check the radar (I use the radarscope app) but you can check online with websites like radar.weather.gov or wunderground.com
Ryan Hall Y'all is a youtube channel that livestreams during most severe weather outbreaks

What to do During a Tornado (via NWS):
Stay Weather-Ready: Continue to listen to local news or a NOAA Weather Radio to stay updated about tornado watches and warnings.
At Your House: If you are in a tornado warning, go to your basement, safe room, or an interior room away from windows. Don't forget pets if time allows.
At Your Workplace or School: Follow your tornado drill and proceed to your tornado shelter location quickly and calmly. Stay away from windows and do not go to large open rooms such as cafeterias, gymnasiums, or auditoriums.
Outside: Seek shelter inside a sturdy building immediately if a tornado is approaching. Sheds and storage facilities are not safe. Neither is a mobile home or tent. If you have time, get to a safe building.
In a vehicle: Being in a vehicle during a tornado is not safe. The best course of action is to drive to the closest shelter. If you are unable to make it to a safe shelter, either get down in your car and cover your head, or abandon your car and seek shelter in a low lying area such as a ditch or ravine.
NOAA and NWS are under threat from everything going on right now. (Hundreds of weather forecasters fired in latest wave of DOGE cuts.) They provide vital services and do very important research about our weather and climate. While 5calls.org does not currently have a template centered on NOAA/NWS, they have similar ones that you could reference, modify, and use. (I have modified one below that you might consider using.) (5calls.org also has other very important scripts that you might use for other issues.) Please consider calling your representatives and telling them how important weather information is to everybody and that they should be protecting it, not defunding it. Not only for severe weather, but for climate change research and more.

I'm calling to demand that [REP/SEN NAME] oppose any legislation, or efforts by the executive branch to dismantle or abolish the National Weather Service or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. very funny to see people being all "why do we need smart tvs to replace the functionality of the devices plugged into them". buddy most people don't plug in shit to their tvs anymore because they are smart tvs lol. if you don't want a smart tv you just buy a big monitor! and if you think they don't make ones big enough for your tastes than you're just going to have to remember to look for "commercial/industrial displays" cuz that's what the product segment tends to get called.
like yes yes you, me, we have like some game consoles and maybe even a dedicated media player of some sort plugged in. but lots of people don't even have a cable/satellite box anymore. lots of people no longer have a dedicated media player. and for game consoles a lot of people find using the media player/web browser features (if present) a pain to use when they could just use a tv remote.
like really the fundamental thing at work here is that a modern TV, capable of handling high definition content, let alone 4k content, it needs substantial processing power to handle speaking HDMI to connected devices, to handle upscaling (and if neccesary downscaling) to the actual panel resolution from sources, this is all shit that means you have to put a reasonable smartphone's level of processing power into the device already.
you really might as well just make the damn thing run a phone os anyway or sometimes just a generic linux OS customized to the task, which is why most of them do, sometimes ones that have been long dead. you get your android TVs and your tizen (samsung origin linux) TVs and your WebOS TVs (ain't it crazy how WebOS has lived far longer as an appliance OS than it ever did for mobile devices??) or roku os (roku origin linux) etc. and people love this, they love not having to have the other device to do the things they wanted to do anyway! that's kind of the most important bit.

Fic Prompts: Snippet Monday
A short scene that doesn't have a story to go with, and is therefore free to incorporate into just about whatever.
Viper
"-look, all I'm saying is we need a break!"
Damas paused to listen to the voices floating up from the elevator shaft. Ah. He'd been beginning to wonder when, exactly, the boys had been planning to turn in their report on the sandstorm evacuation. He stifled a smile and went back to watering the date palms nearest the window as he listened to them arguing.
"A break? Dax, just being here is a break!"
"...you've been out in the sun too long, pal. You seem to have forgotten the life-threatening nonsense these people keep putting us through!"
Jak's laugh grew louder as the elevator rose higher. "So? We have entire days where we don't have to go anywhere or do anything! And we get to go wherever we want! C'mon, Dax, you can't possibly tell me this place isn't like a vacation compared to Haven."
The elevator locked into place and Jak ambled out, looking perfectly at home amid the artificial streams. He lifted a hand in irreverent greeting when he spotted Damas, and made his way across the stepping stones. And if he seemed to be making a game of skipping every other stone, well, Damas wouldn't tell anyone.
"All scouts accounted for!" Jak announced cheerfully as he landed on the last stone, right at the foot of the dais. "Oh hey, the Crawler's making some weird noises though. I think you should have Kleiver do some maintenance on it."
Damas raised a brow. "Hm. A mobile sandstorm shelter won't do us much good if it breaks down. I'll make a note of it."
He set down the pitcher he had been using to water the tree and made his way back to his throne, looking for one of the data recording devices he kept to hand.
"I don't have any other work for you at the moment. If you can find a way to amuse yourselves that doesn't involve violent destruction of private property, the rest of the afternoon is yours to spend as you wish."
Daxter snapped his fingers in a pretense of disappointment. "Darn, well, that rules out all your plans, doesn't it, Jak?"
"Swimming doesn't destroy private property," Jak suggested, bouncing his shoulder.
"Not during a storm," Damas cut in. "I don't want to hear that someone had to take a boat out there and haul you out of a rip current."
Jak was about to argue when he felt Daxter go rigid on his shoulder. Following Damas’s surprised gaze, he found his friend squinting around the room. His ears swiveled and rotated like satellites, as if trying to catch a specific sound.
"Dax? What's wrong?"
"Say, uh, Jak?" Daxter piped up nervously, "Anyone else hear hissing?"
Hissing? Jak frowned and scanned the room, wondering what his friend was hearing. As his eyes swept across the dais, something caught his attention. It wasn’t that noticeable, just the barest hint of motion. But when Jak reached for just a hint of dark eco, suffusing his sclera in darkness, it stood out as clear as lightning.
Instinct took over and Jak had a knife out of his boot before he could even process what he was seeing. In an instant he'd hurled the dagger at the throne, just missing Damas’s calf.
"Jak!" Damas snapped, "Watch it!"
With a pained squeal, something began to thrash beside his foot. Pinned to the leg of the throne by Jak's knife was a massive snake. A Dust Demon viper, slowly losing its camouflage as death throes sent it thrashing in pain.
Damas examined the creature impassively, then slammed down his boot, putting it out of its misery.
"I thought something felt different," he remarked, entirely too calmly. "Next time, aim for the head for a cleaner kill. There's no need to make it suffer."
Daxter’s fur stood on end like static electricity as he clung to Jak’s shoulder in an arch.
"How long was that there?!" he demanded, "Is this a regular problem for you?!"
Damas prodded the still twitching viper with the butt of his staff. "Hardly."
His eyes narrowed in thought, and lowered himself into a crouch to examine the animal. "This little one did not get here on its own power."
Jak was already thinking on the same track.
"Someone brought it here," he realized, and his face twisted into an angry, inhuman snarl.
He jumped up onto the dais to crouch beside Damas and glared at the offending creature.
"So...so what? This was an assassination attempt?"
"Hm. That is very likely," Damas agreed. He didn't seem particularly bothered.
Glancing up, he directed a smile at Jak and Daxter. "Very well done. I commend the both of you. This will not be forgotten."
Daxter perked up, glowing at the praise like he'd had a spotlight shone on him.
Jak missed the praise entirely. He was fully focused on the words assassination attempt. Who would try to kill Damas? And in such an underhanded way? If someone had a problem with the king, there was a perfectly good Arena to settle the dispute in!
Well. To be fair, Jak supposed that would be a fight the dissenter wouldn't walk away from. He wasn't even sure he could beat Damas in a fight. So what did that make this? Cowardice?
Jak hated it. It reminded him of the backstabbing he used to see among the prison guards under Praxis's reign.
Jak glowered at the dead snake, and jerked his knife out of it. He just missed Damas’s approving nod when he bent to clean the blade on his boot before sheathing it again. The snake lay sprawled in unnatural angles, no longer twitching. With dark eco rumbling in his chest like a warning growl, Jak reached down and picked the viper up by the tail.
"I'm gonna find out who did this," he vowed, looking Damas in the eye, "And they're gonna pay."
He started to stand, but a hand on his arm anchored him in place.
"Leave it," Damas commanded. He stood and jerked his chin towards the foot of the throne. "Let everyone who enters this chamber see it there."
"Why?" Jak furrowed his brow and stood to follow, viper dangling from his hand. "Won't that just show the assassin they should try something else?"
Damas settled into his throne with a scoff. "No no, think, Jak. What did I teach you about choosing battles?"
Jak blinked. Was this a test of some kind? He looked to Daxter, who only shrugged. Damas had that secretive glint in his eye, which meant it probably was a test. Jak closed his eyes and tried to think.
He's not facing this head-on, or at least not the way I would. Which means he's probably taking a more subtle approach. Jak, admittedly, was not very good at "subtle". He wracked his brains for an answer, looking between the snake, the throne, and the doors before realizing that Damas was watching his facial expressions intently.
Oh.
"You're...going to watch everyone's reactions? When people come in, right? If...if the assassin or an accomplice comes in, seeing the snake will send a message. Or...or it might spook them into giving something away?"
The answer lacked his usual brash confidence. Jak hoped the king wouldn't pick up on that, but at the same time he knew it was unlikely that he wouldn't. But he couldn't help a little trepidation! Damas clearly expected him to know the answer and he didn't want to get it wrong!
To his relief, Damas dipped his head and smiled proudly.
"Excellent! That is precisely what I intend to do -- so I can't have you running around the city to threaten people with a dead snake."
He gestured to his right meaningfully.
"And as you have no other tasks for the afternoon, I think this would be a good opportunity for you to hone your observation skills. After how quickly you two picked up on the viper's presence, I can think of no better choice to help me suss out our would-be killer."
This time Daxter wasn't the only one to light up and stand a little straighter in response to the commendation. Jak may not have been familiar with ranks and hierarchies, but he understood the gesture of trust Damas was extending to them. And he understood that being asked to stand by at the right hand of a warrior like Damas was no small thing. Damas was asking them to help him find an assassin in the ranks as though he hadn't the slightest doubt that they would be successful.
Jak squared his shoulders and nodded sharply. "We won't let you down," he said firmly.
Damas returned his nod with an almost fond smile. "I know."
Jak leaned on the pillar right of the throne and considered the viper thoughtfully before tossing it to land closer to Damas’s feet. Then, after perhaps a minute of silence, he asked,
"Can I have the fangs though?"
Damas let out a startled laugh. "The fangs?!"
"Yeah," Jak shrugged, suddenly sheepish. "It's- I have a- there's a thing. I need them."
Daxter translated with narrowed eyes. "He means his horrible, horrible, bone collection that he's been making jewelry out of."
Leaning back, Damas laughed again. "Then by all means." He smiled indulgently, gesturing, "Take the fangs! Just be careful of the venom."
"I will." Jak waved off the warning just a touch too nonchalantly. "How long do you think before people start showing up?"
Damas checked his data device. "Four meetings this afternoon, two more after evening meal. The next one is in approximately twenty minutes."
Daxter hopped down and settled into a more comfortable position on the dais steps. "Welp. Sounds like we're gonna be here a while. Jak, you brought snacks, right?"
"We could eat the snake if you're hungry enough," Jak teased.
Daxter made a disgusted sound and looked to Damas, pointing an accusing finger at Jak.
"Will you please do something about him?!"
"Don't eat the evidence, Jak," Damas snorted. "Go get some roasted crickets out of the kitchens if you're hungry. You have a few minutes."
"CRICKETS?!" Daxter shrieked. He clasped his paws to his head in horror. "You're an enabler! Jak! Don't listen to the man!"
Jak pushed off of the pillar and rolled his eyes at Daxter. "If you'll eat a decapod, you can eat a hexapod. Besides, they're good! Damas, you want me to bring you some?"
"Naturally."
Daxter groaned and pulled his ears down over his eyes. "Great. Lunatic and Lunatic Junior are sharing meal plans now. Goodbye, normal diet!"
Jak looked just a little too smug about being labeled "Lunatic Junior".

Help what is MV Agusta?? I’ve seen that name dropped earlier this year, but I know fuck all about motorcycle brands. Will it be allowed?? I know Dorna wants a new manufacturer, so what’s the possibility they’ll accept??
MV Augusta is another bikes manufacturer, and it uses to be in the championship on their own (it's an historic one actually), and recently it was in Moto2 with their logo on the Forward bikes (they used to be called MV Augusta, but they didn't do anything on the team). They are also at the European Moto2/JuniorGP and WSSP.
MV Augusta has been partially brought by KTM/Pierer Mobility and apparently they want to revitalize them and a way to do it is bringing it back to the championship (more exposure means more people knowing about them and selling more bikes).
Would it be allowed? Yes but only in 2 ways:
New customer team from an existing manufacturer in Moto2 and Moto3. Basically buy a bike from Kalex, SpeedUp in Moto2 and/or KTM (Husqvarna, GasGasor CFMoto) in Moto3 and put teir own logo.
Or build their own bikes and put together a new team for any category. (Rumours indicate it's MotoGP with all the moviment and singing rider/test riders under the Pierer Mobility group.
What won't be allowed is create a new satellite team in MotoGP to slap the MV Augusta logo on it. they can brive other teams to switch manufacturers and do a GasGas/Tech3, but it didn't work with Gresini and LCR Honda is staying until finishing his contract with Honda (ends nex year I thin).
DORNA will actually be happy to have back an historic team, but the problem will be making sure they are not completely coping KTM if they are going to be developed in the same place. I know there's a few blurry lines as Husqvarna and GasGas and CFMotos are allowed to call themselves new manufactures when in reality their base is the same as KTM bike in Moto3.
This actually will make some teams *Ducati* mad, and protest, to make sure it's not a KTM in other colour (says the team with a fucking army), but as far as they can prove they have come up with those new stuff on their own and copying from looks something they already know it works (remember that this is how team are developing currently with the hole shot or aero), but has not been produced and tested by KTM they will be okay (I think).
I'm talking about MV Augusta because it's the one will be less criticized, and its the one being floating around, but it could be the same for GasGas, which actually was suggested already last year in the Tech3/GasGas or Husqvarna (but KTM said they prefer them to stay off road).

Day 15: Technology of the System
There are many, many technologies in use across the Solar System, so this will be the largest section as all of them will need to be covered in detail.
Magnus Rail Stations
Mass Driver Stations that use magnetic rail systems to propel ships and vessels across the Solar System. The development of these travel hubs opened the solar system up to humanity at large, being capable of accelerating travelers to significant speeds and thus reducing propellant cost for traversing the system at large. With the nuclear salt and fusion engines developed later, the distance one could travel became greater and greater. These days the rail stations cover the entire solar system and have reached out as far as Pluto itself in terms of distance.
Rail Stations are also major commerce hubs and have numerous facilities and rotating gravity sections for travelers waiting their turn to get their vessel passed through the rails themselves. Holding numerous hotels, restaurants, and other services, the bustling nature of Rail Stations makes them attractive sites for any major corporate investment. They have thus served as neutral points for many parties in the system, Magnus Kinetics even advertising executive suites for corporate types.
Entanglenet Communications
Based on the idea of quantum entanglement theory, the Entanglenet is an information network covering the entire solar system that serves as the internet of the 26th century. A black box of technology developed by Eincomm Communications, the entanglenet has proven too useful for the various powers and they don’t want to risk pissing EC off at all.
Specialized satellites, receivers and transmitters, and even antennas connected to the entanglenet are what EC produces, these technologies are all hooked into the system and are rigged with specialized self destruct systems that if tampered with will automatically detonate at the slightest provocation and render everything inside useless. It’s to maintain their absolute monopoly over the technology.
Due to the usefulness of faster than light instantaneous communications across the solar system, the Entanglenet has become the biggest form of negotiation that Eincomm has over everyone else, at will they can shut down entire sub-networks for any major power in the system and leave it for others. Using this they help enforce the Zeus Accords, seeing as they majorly benefit from the Accords themselves, with this a status quo has been enforced across the System.
More commonly however it works as a modern internet, with users paying an annual rate for use of bandwidth and access to various sites and applications.
Heavy Knights
The major vehicle of combat under the Zeus Accords. The Heavy Knight is a mobile weapons platform that makes use of a variety of advanced technologies to even exist in the first place. From advanced computer and AI systems, muscle webbing for basic locomotion, to nuclear pulse thrusters and wheel systems for rapid movement across the field. The Heavy Knight is best described as a modular mech frame that has become in vogue for those following the Accords due to the nature of warfare the Accords proposed.
Originally developed as a form of construction exoskeleton, the very first Heavy Knights were originally a joke made by a disgruntled engineer at Prydwen Electronics, who took the design and strapped weapons to it as a joke, hoping to get fired. The executives however liked the idea and marketed it as a weapon meant for warfare under the Zeus Accords, smaller scale battles could be easily conducted with these machines. The original design lasted about 2 generations before being replaced entirely in the 3rd generation with a new design.
As the original 2 generations became known as Proto-Knights, the need for advanced designs capable of doing more was growing, and the PKs weren’t holding up to it with their twin stick designs. Watanabe Heavy Industries put out the first fully humanoid design, and to handle the complexities of action needed, gave it Artificial Intelligence in control over any need for a human pilot. The result worked and was devastating on the field, it took nearly 20 PKs to take on even one. The message was clear, the Autonomous Knights were ready for battle.
The AKs as they became known as were soon dominating the battlefield, with PKs only kept on hand as auxiliary support. Efficient and deadly it seemed the modern battlefield would become covered in automated mechs, though there was a growing concern of where this would lead especially under the accords. Talos Robotics was thus faced with the challenge of ensuring the conditions of the Accords were met, while matching the power of the Autonomous Knight on the battlefield.
Research into cybernetics was conducted, based on old designs from Earth before the Red Rains, the end goal was to grant a human pilot the same reaction time as the Autonomous Knights. The end result was the Neural-Gear system and series of implants, designed to be uncomplicated; the implants directly linked the pilot to the control system of their mech, granting far greater control and reaction times that matched those of the AKs.
The Autonomous Knight, while capable of processing information far faster than a human, was limited by the hardware it used, so in an even match human pilots stood a decent chance, as well as operational ability outside of designated parameters for missions made it clear human pilots still had a place on the modern battlefield. While AIs were capable of adapting to any major changes in a mission, they were limited by designated goals and restrictions in said missions, which left room open for human pilots to abuse, such as going outside mission zones.
The modern Heavy Knight was born, with Neuro-Gear integration at command, pilots became their machines and the modern battlefield was dominated by their presence.
The greatest benefit to modern designs is their modifiable status, with arms, legs, heads, and torso units able to be swapped out at any dedicated garage or hanger with ease. This allows pilots with access to parts of the licenses for printers to set up their HK in any configuration they need, with different parts providing different benefits based on mission need. This has led to numerous other corporate entities vying for contracts based on designing the perfect HK build, even partnering with others depending on the advantages brought.
The technology of the Heavy Knight has also seen miniaturization into mobile powered armor units for ship to ship boarding in rare circumstances. These Boarding Knights have seen rare use but have still found niches elsewhere in warfare under the Accords. As well as improved Industrial Knights built to serve similar purposes that the old Exo-frames used to so long ago.
Printers
Also known as Fabricators, Mini-Factories, Replicators, etc. Are a form of construction technology born from the idea of the 3D Printer from the early 21st century, these are a rare sight to see and only appear in heavily industrialized zones and colonies, or on the most advanced and outfitted spaceships crossing the solar system, due to the material needs and dedicated space required. If one has access to a Printer and a good set of licenses and the space, you can print nearly any mechanized piece you need.
Human Modification and Augmentation
Cybernetics, biological grafts, nanomachines, etc. The qualification of “what is human” isn’t as burning of a question in the 26th century thanks to the ease of which these are available. From black market modifications to dedicated military augmentation under the numerous powers, humanity is experiencing a peak in terms of altering one’s self.
The most common is the Neuro-gear jack, a nerve integration connector located on the spine and back of the head; this implant is used along with NERVE-suits to connect a pilot to their machine. From Pilots in dedicated warships making maneuvers, to HK pilots controlling the movement of their machine through thought. These interfaces are also seen in more commercial use, with very minor basic implants serving as the basis for intensive VR access for many people across the solar system.
From there comes numerous prosthetics and implants, meant to replace damaged parts in the dangerous lines of work across the solar system from military to industrial. These prosthetics and implants can also be outfitted with new functions or weapons, but are often limited by basic physics and the cost of outfitting someone with them. Many employers these days make use of the 6th generation of cybernetics for replacement parts, often because they’re cheap but they get the job done easily.
Other modifications include biological grafts and nanomachines, which have seen a rise in underground niche cosmetic modifications that let people assume nearly any look they want. While expensive many do spend their money on just basic cosmetic overhauls, with a popular set being more animal based.
Engines and Rocketry
Most modern vessels make use of Nuclear Pulse Engines for propelling themselves across the void of space when not under Rail Station Acceleration, the pulse of these engines while effective is quite low and can barely be felt as 0.01 of acceleration, thus most vessels have rotating sections to provide gravity for passengers.
While the impulse is quite low, the engines are capable of far heavier burns, most of them are used with Military vessels needing to cross distances when Rail Stations may not be available or aimed in the general direction of certain locations. While they aren’t capable of a near 1 G sustained burn they are capable of crossing vast distances in a far more reasonable timeframe than old engines from before the early days of space colonization. Just for the sake of efficiency and repair a decent low burn while under a boost from a Rail Station ensures maintenance and upkeep is kept low.

[2025-05-18 image @researchgate] Satellites are becoming used more for backhaul from the 4G / 5G mast. This is having implications regarding how the mobile network is being implemented away from cities.
In a built up area the backhaul, the route from the cellular tower to the core network (and Internet) would best be served via fibre. A few years ago when fibre was not so common we had our backhaul via copper wire which is much slower. Most urban areas are well covered with mobile connections by at least one mobile operator; 4 would be nicer.
Now (mid 2025) the issues for mobile companies is to get their network to more remote areas. In many cases these areas do not have fibre. Depending on the remoteness, and especially the line of sight the backhaul could be via microwave communications. But as areas to be fulfilled with mobile become more remote this is not an option. So the remaining option is satellite. The costs of this are much higher than other forms of backhaul, mainly due to the mobile companies not being in control of the satellites. The higher costs may result in higher customer bills, but we shall see.
By putting satellite into the mix the mobile companies can get nearer to the target of 100% geographical coverage for the UK much easier. All they need at a mast site is electricity, and more and more they are using solar panels and battery power.
Another side effect of these developments is that the residents within range of the mast can use mobile communications as their broadband supplier, as often they will have very limited copper FTTC connection. many places in remote Scottish hamlets have no better than 1Mbps speed which is worse than useless.

Export Log for 7/21/2024-7/27/2024
This week, not a lot of notable things happened. Last week was described as a slow week but would be the stepping stone for new and greater things, but honestly, with the amount of exports and sales that happened then, it didn't deserve that label. Instead, this week much more deserves it, as there were far fewer things happening this week, but it will have huge implications for the future.
The biggest announcement for this week was the installation new experimental technology that allows us to have cheap and easy satellite access, allowing for accurate mapping of terrain, better drone transportation, and more. To oversimplify, the tech is basically transforming Crates into mobile satellites, allowing to make them for much cheaper without having to create an entire new system, and since they are technically space ships, they can leave the worlds on their own and avoid debris.
This has major implications on many worlds. To start off, no progress was made on Default as all focus was put on mapping out the planet. A large task, but not as large as expected. That being said, it may take another week before the mapping is complete, as hundreds locations are being identified thanks to a combination of the GPS systems and the Tomes of Memory. It will mean that the warehouses will continue to be full until this process is finished, but it will well worth it.
Another major situation where the mapping systems made major changes to was MazeRun. While we cannot abandon the waypoint system, lest an employee gets attacked by a terrorist if the position is not secured, it has helped a lot in more... unfortunate ways. The situation is still being sorted out, so we'll leave this alone until the supervisor of that world is ready to release the information. There were also major progress made in general on the world as well, but those either have had or will have their own posts about them. The warehouses were not full either though.
Finally, we get to C8H. As mentioned in the board meeting, the territory of C8H was tripled in sized, and while most it it will be wilderness, that just means more resources to collect, and more caves to fill. We're nowhere near ready to get ready to harvest the world's resources anyways, so there is nothing that can be done about it. Afterwards, work was started on the goods from the Solar Isles, though there is... we're looking into a situation, but it should be nothing to worry about. We're not posting on what the significant sales were for the Solar Isles loot until all of it is cleared. Considering there is a ton of oil and onyx... that will take a while. Still, it will be worth it in the end. It will 100% be worth it...
Now for the Side Projects. First, for our atmosphere clearing project, we have managed to reach 734 sectors clear. That puts the progress percentage at 36.7%. Then we have the work done for our art commissioning service. We made a decent amount of commissions, but we're surprisingly getting them done faster then they come in. We're not expecting this to last thankfully, especially since we are taking part of a gallery meant to raise health awareness. That being said, our artist team is on a roll and have nearly finished it, so we'll have it ready with lots of time to spare. Anyways, here are the commissions we have received:

SCP#: AKO
Code Name: Matt Garetty, Soldier of the Serpent's Hand
Object Class: Prodosa
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-AKO is in the unfortunate custody of Group of Interest: The Serpent's Hand and thus has found shelter in the Wanderer’s Library. For obvious reasons no containment procedures will be made now and possibly in the foreseeable future as anomalies that have made it into the Wanderer’s Library rarely if ever get into Foundation custody unless snuck out by MTF units. This is clearly impossible for SCP-AKO’s case, especially since he does not have a fond impression of the Foundation since his discovery.
Description: SCP-AKO are three boys who seemed to have been exposed to an unknown anomalous material. They are known as SCP-AKO-1, SCP-AKO-2, and SCP-AKO-3 all of which have the same telekinetic abilities. They were originally three normal 18-year-old boys with no anomalous properties until they encountered the unknown material, how exactly this all happened is unknown. When Foundation researchers pinpointed the origin of their anomalous abilities all that was found was an oversized quartz crystal that easily shattered upon the slightest touch.
Whatever makes each SCP-AKO anomalous seems to be linked to their brain and acts like a muscle. It can grow stronger over time so long as it's used but if stretched too far it will tear, though always grow back stronger than before. This has granted each SCP-AKO individual numerous abilities with their telekinesis such as levitating objects, levitating themselves, controlling acceleration around them, controlling gravity around them, and even being able to enhance their bodies to withstand any force directed at them. Unfortunately, due to two being dead and the third escaping to the custody of the Serpents Hand it's impossible to know if there was a limit or if they could go even farther.
SCP-AKO was discovered in 2012 when Foundation satellites picked up anomalous wavelengths from the three of them. Foundation command observed them and was initially about to form a simple MTF to capture them all. However, after it was revealed, they could fly and even move large cars, capabilities they previously had according to the reports made the first week of their discovery. It was concluded they were getting stronger as time went by and thus were getting dangerous. Thankfully none of the SCP-AKO individuals seemed to want to bring any legitimate harm to others and were put on a watch list for the moment, at least until a better plan to contain them would be made. As time went on they even decided to suppress their abilities only to use it in the background to enhance small things like their capabilities in a magic show.
However, SCP-AKO-1 soon started showing clear signs of depression, nihilism, and overall mental deterioration due to social issues in his life. Before the Foundation could create a proper Task Force to deal with him, he ended up in a hospital due to a robbery gone wrong and soon after went on a rampage in [data expunged] city, leading to massive exposure and nearly breaking the veil over the anomalous world. Thankfully MTF Command was quick to implement Protocol “Ignorance is Bliss”, with MTF Gamma-5 already firing bombs with Class B Amnestics.
This did not deny that SCP-AKO-1 was causing damage and getting stronger as time went on. SCP-AKO-3 was trying to stop him but proved to not be as strong and thus was getting beaten badly. Because of the severity of the scenario as well as the massive power required Captain Charlie Wells of Mobile Task Force Alpha-9 “Last Hope” was deployed immediately. Due to Protocol “Ignorance is Bliss” already being implemented the O5 Council and Ethics Committee agreed that Protocol “Censorship” can be disregarded given the circumstances. This led to a bad but quick battle between Captain Charlie Wells and SCP-AKO-1 and SCP-AKO-3. Please see Addendum X-88 for details.
After the battle SCP-AKO-3 retreated and was never seen again, however Foundation agents who enter the Wanderers Library have reported seeing him alongside members of the Serpent's Hand. This unfortunately has led to the Group of Interest gaining a powerful ally that could help them stand toe to toe against MTF Alpha-9.

Canelo Álvarez vs. Jaime Munguía: Cinco de Mayo Super Middleweight Showdown!
LAS VEGAS – March 12, 2024 – Mexican superstars will go toe-to-toe as Canelo Promotions presents a Cinco de Mayo weekend blockbuster that will see pound-for-pound great Canelo Álvarez put his undisputed super middleweight world title on the line against unbeaten all-action former world champion Jaime Munguía headlining a PBC Pay-Per-View event on Prime Video on Saturday, May 4 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
In addition to the PPV being available for purchase on Prime Video, regardless of Prime membership, fans will also be able to purchase the PPV via DAZN.com. On top of those options, fans will also be able to continue to access the telecast through traditional cable and satellite outlets.
Canelo vs. Munguía is the first four-belt undisputed title fight between Mexican combatants and harkens back to the great Mexico vs. Mexico matchups of the past including classics such as Erik Morales vs. Marco Antonio Barrera, Carlos Zárate vs. Alfonso Zamora and Jesús Castillo vs. Rubén Olivares, amongst many others. Canelo has already etched himself in history alongside the greatest Mexican fighters to enter the ring and can add to that legacy on May 4, while Munguía hopes to move himself up the pedestal and make his own lasting mark in the boxing annals with a signature victory Cinco de Mayo weekend.

The reigning WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO Super Middleweight World Champion, Canelo Álvarez will look to extend his own record of successful undisputed title defenses in the four-belt era as he defends his belts for the fourth time in a 12-round matchup against the unbeaten former 154-pound world champion Jaime Munguía, who will compete at the full 168-pound limit for the third straight fight.
Having captured world titles at 154, 160, 168 and 175-pounds, Canelo (60-2-2, 39 KOs) returns to action after a dominant victory last September that saw him drop former undisputed super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo on his way to a unanimous decision. The fighting pride of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Canelo became undisputed at super middleweight in November 2021 by taking the IBF belt from then unbeaten Caleb Plant via an 11th-round TKO. After dropping a light heavyweight title fight against Dmitriy Bivol in May 2022, Canelo rebounded to defeat Gennadiy Golovkin in their September 2022 trilogy fight before besting John Ryder in May 2023.
Under the guidance of his renowned manager and trainer Eddy Reynoso, Canelo has triumphed over a long list of elite fighters since turning pro at just 15-years-old in 2005, including Golovkin, plus Shane Mosley, Erislandy Lara, Miguel Cotto and Sergey Kovalev to name a few. Outside of the Bivol fight, Canelo’s only other defeat came against undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather in September 2013.
“I’m very proud and excited to be able to make this fight,” said Canelo. “A Mexican versus another Mexican is always a huge fight and it’s been a while since there’s been one like this. It’s great to give an opportunity like this to a fighter that’s earned it like Jaime has. It gives me a lot of joy that two Mexicans will be facing each other in such a big fight for the sport.”
The 27-year-old Munguía (43-0, 34 KOs) first burst onto the scene in 2018, shocking Sadam Ali via a fourth-round TKO to claim a 154-pound world championship, which he would go on to defend successfully five times. A native of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Munguía continued his dominance after moving up to 160-pounds, going 6-0 at the weight class from 2020 through 2022, including triumphs over D’Mitrius Ballard, Gabriel Rosado and Tureano Johnson, all while garnering a reputation as one of the most fan-friendly fighters in the sport.
Munguía made his debut campaigning at super middleweight in June 2023, facing longtime top contender Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Munguía emerged victorious with a unanimous decision in the back-and-forth affair that garnered Fight of the Year honors from the BWAA. In his most recent fight, Munguia joined forces with legendary trainer Freddie Roach, who helped guide him to a dominant ninth-round stoppage of veteran contender John Ryder in January.
