spent part of last weekend replicating a necklace design I saw online and when I was done I was like ah such a shame I never DIY pieces to wear...how tragic...what an oversight...never mind why I have silk beading thread on hand and also special tweezers.

anyway here's some stuff I swiped off my bathroom counter that I've made over the years. The problem isn't that I don't wear them. I wear them until they break and the urge to mend is not as strong as the urge to make. see also: editing vs writing.

I have wicked metal allergies and sometimes get so sensitized I can't even wear a watch or your average fitness tracker because of the metal backs, so there's a lot of plastic kiddo clasp going on here. And apoxie sculpt. No, normal hypoallergenic materials do not work. No, clear nail polish does not work. Thank you. If it worked I would have done it by now. If I wasn't wildly allergic to what seems like most metals on this planet I would abandon all of you in an instant to go apprentice with a jeweler somewhere. No hard feelings.
