i think that ingrid is a LESBIAN and she only has the amount of paired endings with men that she does bc of compulsive heterosexuality and the “need” for a husband that’s been ingrained in her. even despite her pursuing knighthood and rejecting her father’s wishes, i think she still feels a lot of internal pressure to marry and so she just chooses whichever man she happens to be closest to. i think dorothea was her gay awakening but she’s not ready for all that.

speaking of dorothea. BISEXUAL IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD and she pulls too. she is the human being with the MOST game in all of garreg mach, move over sylvain.

balthus loves milfs and ALSO dilfs. i think he wants jeralt.

all three of the lords are bi because you can tell they all have a fat crush on byleth the entire game. especially dimitri and edelgard. azure moon is practically a love story with the way it’s set up. the fact that dimileth cant canonically be mlm is one of 3H’s greatest flaws and i mean that completely seriously.

dedue has probably been a lot of people’s awakenings. especially ashe’s. i think ashe had never really been attracted to many people before meeting dedue. i’m so normal about them actually.

contrary to popular belief i like to keep yuri’s canon bi-ness because i think he takes pride in being able to make any relationship he’s in scandalous. as a man who looks a lot like a woman there’s really no way to win in a heteronormative society (which fodlan absolutely is) and i think yuri has some fun with that. embraces it even.

i think lorenz is the most deeply repressed individual known to man. he looks for a wife as if looking for a business partner. he can’t even conceive of sexuality at all. i don’t know what he is because i don’t think HE knows what he is. this never changes for him.

leonie is my beloved butch. however i do think she and felix getting platonic married and becoming clowns together is fucking awesome. keep it up guys.

hilda’s pan i think. she flirts with everything that moves. sylvain as well but he’s slow to learn. i think he had a crush on glenn and then felix but rationalized it to himself by saying both of them look like girls so of course he’s into them. but it’s deeper than that. he doesn’t wanna unpack that tho he has a job to do.

ignatz and raphael are the definition of a qpr to me. just a good pair of buddies. i love them. i think they’re both aro but judging by that flayn support ignatz is NOT ace. i know he’s a little freak. love him tho 💓

Azure Gleam 15 (Final)

As long as this has gone on for, I'm actually bummed to finish this one.

NARRATION

Those special chapters were so weird. It's kind of funny how the plot is like, just ignoring all of that and going back to regular programming. It's like in an old kid's show when they got a dog and then the next episode - no dog anymore. Like there's kinda no point to it.

Ok, so Thales talking to yeeted Edelgard. I will never not get over how funny it is that's the path the writers decided.

Yep, we're really just jumping back into the regular plot. That is so funny. The writing in this game is a clusterfuck at times.

Ok, so we're going to the monastery to save Rhea. MUCH better than saving Bernie's dad.

TWSITD causing chaos again. I feel this route targeted them more than the other two. Like they barely existed in GW.

Everyone's worried about Rhea.

Dimitri wants to wreck TWSITD and the Empire. Let's fucking go!

MAP

No side quests again! Guys, I'm sooooo close to beating this game I can taste it. Both SB and AG have very short final chapters.

Only Claude is annoying, which tracks how this game's gone so . . .

So I've gotten all the supports for: Dimitri, Dedue, Felix, Sylvain, Ingrid, and Rodrigue. Mercedes I'm only missing Jeritza. I didn't use Annette or Ashe, so they're missing a few, but I feel I did pretty good. Hopefully I can get Mercie and Jeritza this chapter.

Ugh, so I missed the opportunity to deepen my bond with Byleth :( Maybe next time.

So in another route, Ashe had no idea what he believed in anymore. In this one, he's confident about his sense of justice.

In another route, Yuri didn't tell me his history with Varley, in this one he trusted me with it.

Ingrid is a queen. She said it's the people who suffer in war, our leaders should reach diplomatic resolutions. Too bad only Dimitri believes in those :(

Aww, Byleth refused to kill Shez during their fight because he could tell she wasn't herself. I soooo wish I'd gotten their supports.

Ok, so I ran into Raphael again and agreed that I didn't like how we were fighting (which, imo, isn't true, but I wanted to see the difference). Shez thinks Edelgard is too cruel, Claude is too haphazard, and Dimitri is too cautious. She pretty much nailed it.

No Arval in the tent :(

Linhardt just said Caspar revels in bloodshed. That's fucked up.

My heart just broke and warmed at the same time. A Kingdom general asked a Duscur general how the people from Duscur pray. He wanted to learn because he lost a lot of good soldiers from Duscur in the last battle and wanted to pray for them in the way their religion would. It's details like this that make Hopes worth it.

Haha, Dedue was fairly chill considering I attacked allies and posed a possible threat to Dimitri. He brought it up, but didn't harp on it.

BYLETH & JERALT A

Man, I'm glad I got this unlocked in time.

Byleth gave Jeralt flowers. First time in Byleth's life lol.

He's trying to communicate his feelings, thankfulness to Jeralt for being his captain and father.

Aw, it's a throwback to Byleth giving out flowers at the Academy.

Lamo, Jeralt just said Byleth may have been a student or led seminars, but isn't qualified to be a teacher.

Jeralt's like, I knew you cared, kid. But I still appreciate it.

Byleth picked the flowers out himself. It's the same kind his mother liked :(((

Jeralt used to give these flowers to Sitri.

Byleth is being so sentimental and sweet. I can just imagine a voiced Byleth saying lines like that in Houses' supports and buying more into the character.

I swear, this game made me really get Byleth more and "buy into" the character. Also, I'm going to cry so hard when Jeralt dies. I still don't really care for Jeralt, but I'm going to just feel so sad for Byleth.

DIMITRI & DEDUE A

For anyone wondering, I purposefully saved this one and Felix A. I've had them unlocked for a while.

Dedue is worried because Dimitri keeps sleeping at his desk. He's grateful or else he'd get sore.

Of course, he had bad dreams about the past.

Ohhhh! Not the tragedy, but arriving home after. Cool to learn some tidbits about that part too.

A child cursed Dimitri after the funeral because his dad died in Duscur and was furious with Dimitri for not killing Dedue, but hanging out with him instead.

Dimitri just ignored him.

Then Dimitri talks about his duty to those who died, and asks Dedue what he would do if Dimitri begged for vengeance while he was dying. OFC, Dedue says he'd do it even if he died.

Then Dimitri asks the opposite, what would Dedue do if Dimitri begged him to live for his own happiness? Dedue said he couldn't.

"I cannot know happiness without you by my side." :(((((((

He'd seek revenge, for his own sake, not Dimitri's.

Dimitri's like, nothing I'd say would change your mind?

Dedue just flips the subject, asking if Dimitri can't just live for himself, and ofc Dimitri says no, he can't.

But imagines another life traveling around as a merc with Dedue or living as a farmer. Dedue's like, why not go?

Dimitri says obviously I can't do that.

So Dedue's like get some sleep.

It worries Dedue every time he sees Dimitri asleep like that at his desk bc he's worried Dimitri died. But Dimitri's like, not why you're here. It won't happen.

Dimitri's like, if I died, that wouldn't go well, so I'll listen.

GUYS. DIMITRI'S GOING TO SLEEP. SOMEONE TALKED HIM INTO SLEEPING. THE POWER OF DEDUE.

They're married, your honor.

DIMITRI & FELIX A

Starts with Dimitri apologizing and promising revenge, killing all of TWSITD no matter the cost.

Felix walks in, Dimitri almost calls him Glenn, but corrects, and apologizes again except to Felix for seeing that.

Felix is like "I've seen all there is of you to see." So, uh, what does that mean?

Dimitri explains that he suffers from a "waking dream," saying he sees the dead like they're real.

Then talks about the violent revenge the dead scream at him.

Felix asks when this all started. Dimitri says 6 years, but the voices started 4 years ago during his first battle? Not sure those numbers line up with lore and age, but I don't know how old they are this time. Anyways, started with Duscur, got worse when Rufus tried to have Dimitri killed by sending him to battle.

The man he killed that freaked Felix out was someone from Duscur, and the voices cheered when he killed the guy.

Felix is like, do you really think Glenn and Lambert would torture you like that? Telling Dimitri he's the one doing it, not them.

Dimitri's like, even if that's true, I can't forgive myself.

Felix talks about how if Dimitri loses his path, he's taking everyone down with him (so Houses, sans AM) and says "keep the whole removing their heads thing in check yeah?"

Felix says it'll be their secret.

"are you offering to let me unburden my heart to you when the time calls for it?" - Dimitri to Felix. Guys, I'm dying a little.

Dimitri credits Felix with the reason he hasn't descended into madness, and asks Felix to continue being his right-hand man.

Hahahah, OMG, Felix picked Dimitri up and is physically carrying him to bed. Dimitri is nearly laughing because he's so much taller than Felix his feet are dragging the floor.

Felix calls him a "sack of muscle" lol

Dimitri carried Felix like this when Felix twisted his ankle. And now is calling this a workout. Dimitri's still massively entertained.

They are also married.

Man, so Dedue got Dimitri to fucking sleep, and Felix got him to laugh.

Ok, this game is really Dimilix, the game. I swear a shipper on deck wrote this. It may also be why Felix was one of the few Blue Lions to survive SB. Writers' bias.

My shipping heart is so happy with both supports.

ASHE & FLAYN B

This is their final support.

They're fishing together. She's trying to reel in a big fish, but it's not working. Ashe gives her tips. And she got it!

Though, it seems like it was a bit of a struggle.

Flayn swore she'd not let go no matter what. Ashe says sometimes it's best to not let go, and suddenly understands Seteth. But still compliments her on her determination.

Flayn thinks her mother would be proud of her for catching this, which is part of the reason Flayn loves fishing.

She flirts with Ashe a bit too lol.

And now she's drooling over the fish.

Ashe says Flayn enjoys him of his sister and really had fun.

But then panics thinking of Flayn in the kitchen lol.

ANNETTE & CONSTANCE B

Constance compliments Annette's performance in battle.

Constance is a legendary alumni at the school in Faerghus.

Stories include turning bossy noble kids into horses. And she started using it everywhere.

She argued magical theory with teachers and won.

These make me love Constance, not going to lie.

Annette is nervous being around someone so famous. Constance calls Annette one of the most talented women in the Kingdom.

Constance loves a book Annette work, but it's mostly a cook book, so Annette doesn't make much of it.

Annette wrote a magical cookbook, and Constance is all about it.

Annette tries to give Mercedes credit because she's the cook.

They both want to get to know each other better.

This was really them geeking out over each other, magic, and Mercedes' cooking.

MERCEDES & JERITZA A

It came down to the lack fucking minute, but I got it. Thank you, Shez, for cooking the perfect dinner.

Jeritza finds and old letter from Mercedes' mother. Or, rather, she wrote Jeritza a letter after Mercie told her that they found him.

They both want to live with him after the war, but he says no.

He can't face her because of his past actions. Doesn't seem Mercie holds it against him. And says neither will her mother.

Then Jeritza talks about the Death Knight persona.

Mercie's like, naw, because you're fine right now.

Jeritza still doesn't give in though. He insists he must pay for his crimes, which he thinks he never can. He wants to get judged by the law, which, honestly, respect.

Mercie decides to support his decisions, even though it makes her sad, and that they'll be waiting for him. No matter how long. Even if they're both old ladies.

I really loved that support. Seeing Mercie support Jeritza's decision, seeing Jeritza take responsibility for his actions. All around good support.

ANNETTE & CONSTANCE A

Glad I got this one. I think Seteth/Shez A is the only other support still within reach.

Constance wants Annette's help conducting an experiment outside. Annette knows how Constance's mood changes when she goes outside. Annette's happy to help.

Obviously now Constance is being down on herself.

Annette volunteered before learning the experiment. Thankfully it's just to try and get all the cats from the area.

It fails :( I want a spell like that.

Constance is obviously moping, Annette gives her a pep talk, but it probably useless bc they're outside.

It attracted bugs, and Constance says the cockroach is a better sorceresses than her lamo. Then they attract angry birds lol.

Once back inside, Constance realizes her spell does sort of work, but they just didn't know how to get cats.

Aww, I really liked that support chain.

FINAL BATTLE

How can anyone not tell something is wrong with Edelgard?

It's so weird how they just ignore the special chapters.

Thales is making her fight.

Sylvain said he'll skip the class reunion if this is what they're like.

Ingrid is roaring to go after Thales.

No sign of Claude. Dimitri's trusting him, but I don't know about that. I wonder if he betrays you here too. Though Dimitri makes a good point that if Faerghus falls, Claude's ass is next.

On, cool image! Dimitri giving a speech. It's like a moment in Lord of the Rings before Aragorn and co march on Mordor.

I like this! Dimitri's talking about severing the past and moving on into tomorrow. Good to hear him talking like that.

I only got 40 points too. Guess Claude was the odd one out, getting more points for his battle than the other two.

Kyrona made an appearance.

Felt good to kill Varley for once.

Getting ready to face Thales now. Dimitri about to get his revenge against TWSITD. Feels good.

Shez is reassuring Dimitri that he's not alone. That his friends are here to help. :)

I think I just killed Kyrona for good this time.

Time to kick Thales' ass. Much better than killing Rhea. Again.

We also got to defeat Edelgard. Having a hard time feeling bad about that.

This battle is pure chaos. But in a fun way.

Oh, did I beat Thales? I'm at a cut scene. Shez stopped Edelgard; and Dimitri's marching to kick Thales' ass.

Haha, he just ignored Thales magic like it was nothing. What a fucking badass.

He's not even saying anything, just breathing, and the voice acting is still on point.

Edelgard remembered Dimitri? So he didn't kill her. And outside Rhea, Claude and the Blue Lions are waiting. And sun is about to come up.

This felt WAY more complete than the other two. I was expecting MUCH worse. Maybe if I played the other two first I'd be more surprised, but they set the bar stupid low.

We defeated the Empire, defeated TWSITD - I don't know what would even be left?

I love how hard the narration tries to make it sound like the Empire has a fart's chance in the wind anymore. It's just clean up now.

MVP time. It'll eventually turn into the Dimitri show like SB did Hubert and GW did Lorenz. I suspect it'll take longer though bc I wanted to use the other Blue Lions a lot.

Actually, I lie, it happened like the second I got Dimitri and not just Shez. I think I may just be a stan lol. He's also just so damn strong he killed so much easier and faster than anyone else.

You can tell the chapter Dimitri was missing for since Felix and Ingrid kept trading MVP. Then back to Dimitri.

Hey! Rodrigue got one!

I'm excited for Dimitri's letter. Still wish we got paired endings here though.

Dimitri feels reassured with Shez by his side. He's also the only one who asked Shez to stay in the Kingdom. It's nothing spectacular, but it was sweet.

I'm also a bit sad to see this one end. No more Fodlan unless I replay, but I guess there's still supports I didn't unlock.

Guys, I can't believe I finished. Now I'm finally "free" to play whatever games I want.

Def want to replay Engage and Houses, and some non-FE stuff too. Should I get the Engage DLC?

fe3h support thoughts

Ingrid shouldn't have had an ending with Claude. The Claude Ingrid support is one of the worst support chains in the entire game. Entire thing just rambles on and on. It has the plot and structure of your typical C-B support where the two people start off antagonistic or have a misunderstanding but then come to realize the other person isn't so bad but instead of the usual 2 conversations this takes place over, the Ingrid Claude one drags on and on for FOUR scenes of this nonsense. It's the B support line formula that most of the other B supports use where at first they aren't on the same page but then come to appreciate each other. But for some reason their support just drags on and on and on and it doesn't add the depth you'd expect from an A support.

Ingrid's supports with Ignatz and Raphael where fine, I liked them though I think they could have done more with Raphaels. Loved having the two big eaters of the group have a support but Ingrid could really learn about grief and healthy coping mechanism from Raphael (most of the blue lions could really).

Pretty much all of Hanneman's paired endings should have been platonic. The hanneman supports are so weird in that for the most part they're good and they're all platonic but then halfway through some of the A support it takes SHARP turn and becomes romantic out of NOWHERE, it is incredibly jarring. Like they took a perfectly good non-romantic relationship and shoved in an unwanted romance last second.

I'm going to write a petition to give Flayn female friends. Flayn deserves more women in her life! Not even paired endings I just wish she had more supports with women. Some of her supports with men are very interesting or reveal more about her character but others were kinda just filler and easy could have been replaced with other supports.

I find the Shamir Claude ending funny just for the sheer number of positions of power Claude runs away from. Duke of Riegan? Outta here. Leader of the Leicester Alliance? Sayonara. King of Unified Fodlan? Nope. King of Almyra? My work here is done.

Hapi is the blue lion member of the ashen wolves with more supports with them than the other wolves but she shouldn't be. Thematically I'd argue either Golden Deer or a neutral 4th party like abyss is better for her. Golden Deer is all about outsiders and perceived notions, expanding worldviews and greater perspectives, the truth, and the way the mysteries and histories of the Church, Fodlan, Crests, nobility, the Children of the Goddess, and the Agarthans are all connected. Hapi's life story started because she wanted to leave her isolated village and see the world. Her life was greatly influenced for the worse by both the Agarthans and the Church, its because of both of them that she is where she is. She's technically from the Fodlan continent but she's not really a Fodlander either culturally or in perspective in a lot of ways she's more like Dedue who is from a separate culture. I think the devs made a mistake. Yuri is the one with all the history with Faerghus, he's a Faerghus boy through and through with Farrghus values and Faerghus ties. However since he's house leader the devs wanted to write him as the neutral 4th option when that doesn't make sense for him as a character. He was a part of house Rowe, he and Ashe have parallel stories, he probably knows the inner workings of the Farrghus court and nobility very well. Yuri should have been the Blue Lions support character instead of Hapi.

Sylvain, Ingrid, and Felix are especially close. Due to being the prince but more importantly closing off after the Tragedy of Duscar, Dimitri in recent years hasn't been as close to the others. Dimitri closed himself off after the Tragedy so I can see why he and Sylvain don't have an A support. Also while they knew each other in childhood, living indifferent territories, Dimitri's closest friends weren't Sylvain, Felix, and Ingrid.

Manuela and Edelgard's supports were about religion and how Edelgard initially viewed religious people as weak, relying on religion instead of standing on their own. Manuela shows her how religion can be a personal relationship that can make people stronger. It's one of the more interesting philosophical moments in the game (the others come in some of Claude and Linhard's various supports off the top of my head)

So.. I wanted to try to make an alignment chart for where I think the Fodlan characters should be. It was... uh... highly chaotic.

I also made an equally chaotic chart to go with it!:

Blue: Hard Faerghus, ride or die for Faerghus

Light Blue: Faerghus but Leicester aligned without Faerghus (ex VW)

Yellow: Hard Leicester, ride or die for Leicester

Light yellow: Leicester but slightly aligned to Faerghus and/or the CoS

Green: Hard CoS

Light green: CoS but Faerghus aligned during wartime

Orange: Adrestia but slightly CoS aligned

Red: Hard Adrestia, ride or die for Adrestia

Gray: Leicester aligned, could be slightly Adrestia aligned or Faerghus aligned

No color: Aligned to/has possibility of being aligned to more than one at once

STOP RIGHT THERE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE!!! This is how I feel the alignments should've been handled based on story/character context. I am not saying this is strictly, directly canon (except for a few such as Dimitri, Rodrigue, Matthias and Miklan as they are story locked loyal to Faerghus and I still could never see them aligning anywhere else. I've talked about Miklan in that regard before, so that's not for this post).

SO! By character:

Dimitri, Rodrigue, Ashe, Sylvain, Matthias, Miklan, Dedue, Felix: Hard Faerghus

Felix, Ingrid, Annette, Dedue: Faerghus but would align with Leicester if Faerghus wasn't an option (Dedue in VW I do think would align with Leicester without Dimitri)

Gilbert, Yuri: CoS and Faerghus both

Mercedes: Faerghus and CoS. Could be partially Adrestia aligned due it to being her old home

Hapi: Faerghus primarily, but may be aligned with Adrestia or possibly the CoS (brainworming that one)

Catherine, Flayn, Seteth, Jeralt: CoS but would aid Faerghus (would also aid Leicester but are less likely to consider themselves truly aligned to Leicester)

Cyril: Hard CoS. Will aid Leicester or Faerghus as needed

Hanneman: Primarily CoS, somewhat possibly Adrestia alignment based on Edelgard's stance toward crests (though unlikely)

Manuela, Linhardt: Adrestia, but partially CoS/most likely to align with the CoS if not Adrestia

Dorothea, Ferdinand: Between Adrestia (as it's their home), the CoS (in SS context as they try to win back their homes), and Faerghus (non SS context). Dorothea I believe would be better suited to Faerghus'/Dimitri's ideals, while Ferdinand I believe should always side with Faerghus against Adrestia in the war to get his home back. Dorothea may be aligned with Edelgard in CF context. Ferdinand should not be aligned with Edelgard specifically, but rather, Adrestia itself (thus being in opposition to Edelgard in the war, and aligned with Faerghus for it)

Shamir: CoS primarily, but a smidge of Leicester and Faerghus if hired

Jeritza: Adrestia, but can be CoS or Faerghus aligned (Mercedes could convince him, and Faerghus alignment opens him up to meeting Dimitri)

Petra: Adrestia aligned as far as being the only place in Fodlan she's lived at (by force, technically), but is more aligned to the CoS and Leicester, and could be aligned to Faerghus

Monica: Primarily Adrestia, but could become Faerghus aligned due to Dimtiri's association with Edelgard and TWS (and in AG's context, that on top of the Lions saving her). Could become CoS aligned due to her hatred for TWS

Caspar: Primarily Adrestia, but may be aligned with the CoS, Faerghus or Leicester if against Edelgard

Constance: Adrestia, but may be Faerghus aligned due to the School of Sorcery and her connection to Mercedes. Would align with Leicester if it was her only option

Bernadetta: Adrestia, but not unlikely to become CoS or Leicester aligned. Not very likely to be Faerghus aligned but not impossible

Leopold: Hard Adrestia, but has a respect for Leicester and would not be against aiding them if necessary

Edelgard, Hubert, Waldemar, Death Knight: Hard Adrestia (Death Knight using the war to his advantage and partially why Jeritza has trouble defecting)

Lysithea: Leicester aligned, but could easily become Adrestia aligned for Edelgard or Faerghus aligned due to their deep connections with TWS (as many of its primary and most notable nobles have a connection to TWS post Duscur)

Hilda, Holst, Judith, Balthus, Erwin: Hard Leicester

Hilda: Hard Leicester but would aid Faerghus if needed

Lorenz: Leicester/Hard Leicester but definitely aligned with Faerghus during the war and fighting for his home/lands/people. A ride or die for Leicester, but also has deep respect for Faerghus

Raphael, Marianne, Leonie: Leicester primarily, possible CoS or Faerghus ally but unlikely to be truly aligned outside of Leicester

Claude: Leicester aligned, Faerghus ally (AM). Not hard Leicester aligned due to being royalty from another nation entirely, but is deeply loyal and aligned to Leicester (Fodlan in general post AM, as he merged Leicester with Faerghus in an official setting).

I've spent a lot of my day sorting out my three houses ocs and i. am so happy with how they've turned out so far.

as I've said before, they're all characters that I like to throw into various games. while they differ to suit the series they've been thrown into, their background will near enough stay the same.

here's some basic info! (about them in the three houses universe)

The Midnight Rabbits are a small group of merchants selling valuable goods, as well as offering mercenary services. Due to their positive reputation, the Church currently have them employed at Garreg Mach to help out the knights and townspeople, and to sell their wares to them too. At least, that's what you've been told... but it feels as though there's more to them than what everyone is letting on.

Lunaris (He/Him):

The leader of the Rabbits. Seen as a very quiet and possibly unnervingly calm individual, he's actually very sweet once you get to know him. Is fiercely protective of his friends if he feels they're in danger.

Birthday: 13th Day of the Wyvern Moon (October 13th) - 17/18 Pre-timeskip / 23 Post-timeskip.

Preferred Class - Warlock / ???? (secret unit exclusive class ooooooo)

Strengths - Reason / Lance / Authority / Flying

Weaknesses - Heavy Armour / Bows

Budding Talent - Faith

Supports - Byleth / Lucien / Max / Tyler / Edelgard / Hubert / Linhardt / Bernadetta / Petra / Dimitri / Dedue / Annette / Ashe / Claude / Marianne / Ignatz / Seteth / Flayn / Yuri / Hapi

While he has paired endings with most of the characters he has supports with, it should be noted his canon ending is with Lucien.

Lucien (He/Him)

Armed with a sharp wit and silver tongue, alongside some frustratingly good luck, Lucien is very good at getting what he wants. While he certainly has a snarky streak, he cares a lot about his friends. Lunaris's right-hand man.

Birthday: 21st Day of the Garland Moon (June 21st) - 18/19 Pre-timeskip / 24/25 Post-timeskip.

Preferred Class - Trickster / Dancer

Strengths - Sword / Reason / Faith / Authority

Max (He/Him)

Upbeat and outgoing, almost to the point of recklessness, Max is just a ball of sunshine. Has a love of the outdoors and lot of skill in combat and, surprisingly, baking. Tries to approach every task with enthusiasm.

Birthday: 19th Day of the Lone Moon (March 19th) - 15/16 Pre-timeskip / 21/22 Post-timeskip.

Preferred Class - Sniper

Strengths - Bow / Riding / Flying

Weaknesses - Reason / Faith

Budding Talent - Lance

Birthday: 9th Day of the Great Tree Moon (April 9th) - 18/19 Pre-timeskip / 24/25 Post-timeskip.

Preferred Class - Falcon Knight

Strengths - Flying / Axe / Lance / Heavy Armour

Weaknesses - Riding / Bow

Budding Talent - Sword

watched a video someone made about who they through in the fire emblem 3h cast they could beat or lose against in chess-boxing and it made me think about what my chances would be.

now, the best thing about my chess ability is that "i can play it." however, i have been studying martial arts since i was a kid and have done full contact, so i at least i know i stand a fighting chance against these medieval jabronis in fisticuffs. with that in mind...

characters who destroy me in round 1 chess so we don't even get to the boxing portion:

lysithea - probably the biggest nerd in the game.

claude - he beats me at chess before we even sit down to play.

seteth - this seems like the kind of dude that really knows chess and hes been around long enough to be really good. though it doesn't matter too much because even though I THINK i could box him up if we made it that far, if he unleashes dad rage, then its over for me.

yuri - he could easily beat me at chess fair and square but he's a lil freak that runs an underground rodent kingdom, so he cheats and beats me unfairly.

i think that's about it for characters who insta-beat me in chess;

characters who beat me in boxing only:

raphael - he outweighs me by like 100+ pounds and his arms are bigger than my legs. luckily, he's the one character dumb enough that i could probably beat him in chess round 1 before i got my head punched off.

balthus - literally the same thing as raphael.

catherine - also pretty dumb, but smarter than raphael and probably survives the chess round. shes going to stomp my shit in during the boxing.

dimitri - also kind of a doofus, but will definitely hold his own long enough until we get to boxing where i get punched so hard, i go flying out of the ring and probably straight to the morgue.

characters i curbstomp in chess: n/a (raphael if im lucky)

characters i can stall long enough in chess to mollywhop in boxing:

lorenz, flayn, sylvain, bignatz, ashe, dorothea, annette, bernadetta, mercedes, marianne, cyril, sylvain - the least threatening characters in the game. i think i could fight them all at the same time and win.

ingrid, hubert, hilda - im not losing to the racists.

linhardt - okay, hes definitely smart enough to defeat me in chess super fast, but this dude is the laziest man on planet earth, aint no way he's speedrunning me in chess. he'll prolly fall asleep.

constance - yea, she would probably kill me in chess, but shes so incredibly arrogant (affectionate) that i think i could boost her ego long enough to get to the boxing round.

characters who kick the shit out of me in both chess and boxing:

rhea - dude, shes in the opening cutscene both leading an army and LITERALLY throwing hands.

dedue - hes definitely smarter than me and he also outweighs me by at LEAST 50 pounds. just looked up his height and he has over half a foot on me, so i have no shot.

toss up

edelgard - she would eventually beat me at chess and she wears 500 pound armor and wields a big axe, so shes got to be strong as shit and can fight, but shes little and a colonizer so i get a rage stat boost

felix - hes probably terrible at chess, but so am i. hes definitely at least a decent fighter, but very impatient and im a counter fighter anyways, so i think i could eventually beat him on points.

caspar - i dont think this is that much of a toss up. i think i beat him both and chess and boxing, but not like a curbstop either way. late tko.

leonie - this ends in a draw. we're both pretty dumb and i think we're evenly matched in a fight.

shamir - honestly, she probably poisons my water and i lose.

petra tier (characters i wont fight)

petra - i aint fighting petra. if you created an evil clone of me that had my exact stats but was just evil and then you killed the real me so i couldnt kill the evil clone before it challenged petra, it would STILL lose to her in both chess and boxing.

hapi - like cmon dude.

jeritza - his alter ego is the DEATH knight. im not fighting him, sorry.

Blue Lions maddening redemption team. And Ingrid, Dedue and Annette didn't die this time lol.

Some the best units were definitely:

Dimitri: especially after I got him set up properly. Highest level unit because I kept putting him on yellow spots during battles to heal his battalion's endurance so that one unlucky hit wouldn't make it abandon him and therefore ruining his build mid map.

Byleth: she was so incredibly meh in my No NG+ file because I left her in Enlightened One, didn't do that here.

Yuri: he better have been after I put so much effort babying him in three of his banes lol.

Felix: crit monster with killer knuckles+ and I'm pretty sure his crest effect activated on most, if not all, maps. I made him a bow knight on my original maddening file and he was kind of shit so I stayed clear of that this time.

Sylvain: swift strikes.

I played on NG+ because as far as I'm aware, I already got my piss yellow title screen almost 5 years ago therefore I see no reason to make myself grind for professor level, etc. all over again lol. And the same stupid maddening BS and unluckiness happens regardless so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Anyways, like last time, this map quickly annoyed the hell out of me so I just threw Dimitri in the middle of everything after a retribution, stride and a warp and he cleaned up.

Think I'll play Golden Deer next as I've only ever played that route a total of one time lol. Also heard that out of all the final bosses, VW's is the easiest of the four on maddening.

"Ingrid is so annoying about Glenn's death" -> I'm guessing whoever wrote also hates Katara for always "bring up her mom died." Geez I'm sorry she has PTSD and can't just get over it. Maybe Dimitri and Edelgard should also get over their family's death too huh

"it's intentional that all canonical Queer characters are from the empire and rebelling against the church" -> Is what counts as queer only if they can fuck Byleth? That's silly. Not only is OP putting Rhea's queerness aside to make their point, it's ignoring a lot of queer subtext in other characters like Dimitri, Felix, Sylvain, Dedue, Hilda, Marianne, Catherine, etc. Subtext as well as straight up canon; Yuri is a bisexual religious guy from Faerghus, Shamir is bi and from Dagda. Mercie won't even rebel unless you recruit her. So like, literally what point are you making? You're using a whole lot of words to say nothing.

I guess my own hot take is that the CoS is not the Catholic church. There's nothing in the text that says the CoS is homophobic why do you want Rhea to be homophobic when she's literally queer?

If you, the fan, want to explore religious trauma in a fanfic or RP or a headcanon and you decide to make CoS homophobic, that's your prerogative. But I'm begging fans to stop acting like it's canon.

That being said, some people are 100 percent and I'm shaking their hand.

Robin should be tan/darker skin and transmasc (and by extension, Morgan should be tan too), Rosando and Forrest are FE versions of F1nnster, archers should be green.

i had my reservations about some of these, but now that it’s all said and done i’m actually a fan of how this ended up. this’ll make for a lot of fun.

while im outlining this fic im also gonna make some art of their rooms lol, i think it’ll be silly to see how they end up decorating and what the general State of each room is. i’m also gonna share the layout of the dorms with you guys so you can see who’s neighbors with who, since that’ll add an extra bit of Fun.

i haven’t decided which house byleth will lead in the fic tbh. i’m obviously leaning towards the blue lions but if anyone can make a good enough case for other ones then i’ll consider it. i’m also definitely gonna have a think about which students will end up transferring classes, and just the general Big Picture things. this is gonna be loads of fun lol.

thanks to everyone who participated in the polls!!! i think it’s rlly funny that a lot of people seem to have found my blog through them when i don’t actually do stuff like this very often at all. though this was a rlly fun time so i might actually plan more of my big projects this way. i hope you guys will enjoy the art and writing that comes out of this au as well as the other art/writing that im gonna be making outside of it while im working on outlining this giant fic lol. peace and love 💓

Byleth has allo atium and feru gold, sees future, stores health. Though plot wise she'd be mistborn

Sylvain is totally a soother with his seductive powers

Felix could be a slider like Wayne, double speed from time warp/speed

Dedue's personality is close to Marsh imo so I think of him as a seeker. Or a smoker, to protect Dimitri

Dimitri obviously double pewter, but maybe he has old Koloss blood

Hilda and Constance as rioters

Claude as a copper mind with steel for flying. Actually this works perfect because his dual heritage to have both allo and feru

Edelgard allo pewter, feru gold maybe?

Ashe is literally Spook as mentioned

Hubert is a kandra

Yuri is mistborn

Balthus is a crasher like Wax

Ingrid could interestingly also be a crasher, but instead of increasing her weight to "crash" she could decrease her weight to soar

Hello everyone here's the part of the night where I am forced to reveal that I occasionally read books (mostly when bullied these days) and Hapi here decided to bully me into reading Mistborn. So if you're wondering where I was from about late December to early January, I was reading three 700 page books before my semester started and my will to enjoy words written on officially published pages evaporated

Good series (only read Era 1 because I physically could not fit Era 2 into that timeframe but you know) would recommend. 8/10 cool world excellent buildup lovable characters, needs more gay and women and women gays

So uh anyways, Blue Lions? Blue Lions. Been a while since I talked about 3H anyway! I'll probably just pick the metal to associate with them instead of dividing it up between allomantic and feruchemical powers

Dimitri: Definitely a Pewter boy. It just fits with his canonical strength thing he's got going on

Dedue: Copper boy. Lowkey and not necessarily seen as super important to the team, but arguably the most important person on the team. Also, storing memory could be a wealth of angst if you wanted!

Sylvain: Sylvain is kind of hard for me. He doesn't really scream one particular metal like most of the rest of them. I suppose bronze is the one that sticks out the most? (I know they don't all have to have different ones but I think it's more fun if they do).

Felix: Zinc boy, to honor his uncanny ability to piss people off :) Just look at him.

Ashe: He's a tin boy. IMO having the sharpened senses makes sense with his backstory of living on the streets.

Ingrid: I guess I'll give her steel, mostly because you can store speed with it and that just calls to me with Ingrid for some reason.

Annette: Which means Annette can have iron, mostly because I think it'd be funny to watch her accidentally send things flying around.

Mercedes: Brass girl. She just seems like the best candidate for emotional soothing, and there's something kinda cute about her being able to store warmth
