isagi is quick to think of one particular person. despite feeling absolutely milked, a smile forms on his face. with heavy breathing, he replies, "well, obviously my parents and my teammates, they always pushed me to be better and improve, but there's a special girl out there who has always been my biggest supporter." 

the crowd audibly coos, the flashes simply getting even brighter. isagi can tell that everyone is begging for him to continue, so he does, his desire to brag about you growing. 

"she's always been there for me, watching me since i managed to find my love for soccer. and  i don't think i could be here if it wasn't for her." he ponders if he should say the next sentence, but the swell of his heart overtakes his brain.

"thank you, y/n. and when i come back home, i'll make sure you're the happiest girl in the world."

✩ when i say forced, IM TALKING FORCED!! like- you're the foreign exchange student living in his own house!

a fun fact you've learned about rin is that he is always on schedule and has a strict routine. this includes everything from his well kept diet, sleeping at 9pm sharp, and even his devoted time to reading a book for 30 minutes once it hits 7pm.

everything about his life has set rules and orders, and once again, this includes his showers. 

it's not like you're purposefully trying to learn what he does every minute of the day, it's just that he's so prominent with his ritual that you simply learn it without realizing. after eating dinner, he always thanks his mother for the meal. then he heads towards the bathroom to wash up for exactly 45 minutes and heads over to tell you the bath is free at 6:50 on the dot. 

so why is it taking longer than usual today?

for some odd reason, you're worried. rin has practically mastered his way of living and to think that he's behind on something as simple as a shower makes you wonder if he decided to drown himself in the sink. should you check up on him? you guys aren't close like that but you can't help but stand up and make a beeline to where the shower is.

you hesitantly knock on the door. "uh... rin? you okay? it's been pretty long since you've been in there." 

it's silent for a few seconds until the door clicks. you're met with the sight of messy wet black hair, grey sweatpants hung low, and a white tee that simply adds to the masculinity of rin. 

at this time, you also remember that the boy you're temporarily living with is jaw droppingly handsome, and you can't help but avoid eye contact.

but to your surprise, ghost seems somewhat okay with it. his face doesnt really change (from what you can tell- his mouth is still hidden due to some face mask he put on), but he seems neutral, relaxed, even. he mutters something along the lines of how it isn't too bad, but it doesn't beat a cuppa- to which you chose to ignore, and how he'll probably just stick to having an earl grey in the mornings. but a few months later, you catch him at the same boba store, and you cant help but giggle to yourself.

soap fucking inhales the drink. its genuinely concerning, to say the very least. he seems to like.. unhinge his jaw like some kind of snake, and then inhales the whole drink in what you think is a millisecond. and since he's the only scotsman on the team- thinks the whole 'tea n biscuits' ritual his colleagues have is utter stupidity, so not only does he now FREQUENTLY drink boba because he likes it- he also drinks out of utter spite.

gaz is the only one with a seemingly respectable opinion about boba, unfortunately. he's had it before, multiple times- it appeals to his sweet tooth and is the occasional treat after long missions. but unlike you, gaz does not value peace, and seems to keep egging soap on in chugging unreasonable amounts of the drink. (and he doesnt mention it, as he does not want to face the same punishment as you did, but he thinks that bubble tea is sometimes, just sometimes better than his cuppa.)

Firebending is known for its intense and aggressive attacking style and literally

Tanaka yells like a maniac anytime he goes in for a spike

and firebenders can be hotheaded (dont have to be, Iroh for example) BUT say anything about Kiyoko, Karasuno or really anything and he’s ready to throw down

it might be all talk but he still gets fucking triggered

he fires up two flames in his palms and makes that face “ehhh what did you say about our lovely Kiyoko-san?!?”

Enno:

he has such patience and probably mediates or something 

or else he’d go crazy from Tanaka and Noya doing stupid airbender/firebender shit and burning down the entire town 

deals it out when he needs to, sometimes blowing Tanaka and Noya to opposite sides of the room and pinning them there until they calm the fuck down

anytime Tanaka gets too heated, Enno just shows up and blows out his fire 

Hinata:

but airbender

i know airbending is defensive and Hinata sucks at that aspect, but his personality man, airbender all the way

again imagine him and Noya zooming on air scooters around

they would be a MENANCE

but also in the same sense, airbending is all about finding a way around the “normal” way of fighting (they refuse to harm anything is what i mean)

Hinata had to find his own way of fighting in volleyball and yeah…airbender

but then he meets this stupid, bounce off the walls, airbender who he doesn’t need to control bc this kid already does what he couldnt find in anyone else

and he slowly learns to stop using bloodbending, sometimes slips and lapses, but for the most part has left that part of him behind

also water is the element of change and Kageyama certainly goes through a major change in character throughout Haikyuu

everytime Hina and him fight, they make a snowstorm that nobody can stop and it pisses Tsukki off bc he can’t do anything about it

with his ability to analyze and control, he would heckin destroy

but Oikawa would also be a waterbender, i guess it’s a setter thing

water is the element of change and Oikawa adjusts his setting style and approach for each of his team members to bring out the best of them

waterbenders let their defense become their offense turning their opponents own forces against them which i think fits Oikawa to a T

can make ice spikes he can throw long distances with scary accurate precision

like, one can just zip past your ear, and you dont see him anywhere where tf is he?!

Iwaizumi: 

i couldn’t decide between firebender and earthbender

so i went with the lovely mix, lavabender 

just like Toph, Iwa shows his affection through some sort of violence, but thats just cause he cares a lot

oikawa has mastered the art of distinguishing flaming hunks of smoldering rock thrown at his face

also stubborn unmoving like a rock

and when he gets heated, he is fired up

like ty lee specializes in chi-blocking 

he can disrupt someones chi pretty easily making them completely helpless

he has the concentration and flow it takes to lightning bend, i mean he has that whole speech he gives to his team before every game

and while this may lead to possibly thinking he could be a waterbender, he uses his knack for fluid motion and deceptive strength for a different purpose

not only can he lightning bend, he can redirect lightning which takes an immense amount of skill and is drawn from waterbending techniques

maybe its also the hair cause it looks like he got hit by lightning

Kenma:

ill be honest, i dont think Kenma would be a bender

what he would be ilike is Sokka, super smart, the strategizer, the man with the plan

who people look to for the next step, the brain of the operation

and i dont think he’d necessarily have a speciality besides overwhelming ability to observe and make decisions

so basically…he’d be the same LOL

alskdjnsjklnljkls tysm!!!! yeah sure ill share some headcanons. i did a post on a similar topic about a month ago but that’s more their individual personalities/aesthetics than actual relationship material so ill go ahead and add on some stuff here.

i should note that portions of this are based heavily off of the idea that they grew up together so prepare for some au territory at this point. my backstory for them is becoming so intricate jfc;;;;;; i really hope ur not disappointed with this answer i have like an entire pre-forces narrative planned out in my head at this point OTL if u were hoping for more general stuff just lemme know i can give you some more hcs for that (there’s already some but there’s also Backstory stuff that i can’t really explore through oneshot format)

there’s a lot of like. casual touch. lotsa hugs and leaning on each other and resting their chin on the other’s shoulder (or top of head depending on who’s who bc height difference) while looking over them at what they’re doing and its really rooted in their learning early on how much Gadget loves that sweet sweet Physical Contact (if u scratch behind his ears he will melt, guaranteed, you’ll have yourself a Boneless Gadget with a two-liter coke)

if it’s raining out gadget will insist on doing something that’s not just sitting inside all day but snugglin w/ infinite ends up tempting him into doing Exactly That lol

there’s a lot of companionable silence between them when it’s just Them Alone in a Room. sure they talk and chat and joke but there are so many times where it’s just,,, being Together,,, and enjoying being in the other’s presence as they each do their own thing

sorta going into childhood/backstory stuff but uhhhh:

starting freshman year of highschool they started just bein each other’s dates to school dances even though they were “just friends” for like half of that timespan . i love cheesy stuff like that im sorry bro i had to include that tidbit i know it’s super specific and particular to my own backstory for them but just, they’re best buds and they gonna have a good time at homecoming lol

please imagine: those cute pre-dance pictures that parents take at the stairwell or front porch or somethin right before their kids leave, but with gadget and infinite. gadget’s got braces and they dont really fit in his mouth and his lenses reflect the light in the photo and oops infinite blinked and his shirt is too big and tbh their suits in gen just don’t really fit them right, gadget’s shirt is untucked and infinite’s tie is crooked but it’s okay, they’re both smilin reeeeaaaal big (and besides they figure out how to look Aesthetically Pleasing by junior year)

summers were hot in their hometown (note: i grew up in the north so i know nothing of True Heat, bear with me on this one.) most evenings were spent out on gadget’s fam’s back porch, cold towels resting on the backs of their necks, sweat in and under their fur, and they’re melting into the wood of the deck, fan plugged into that one weird outlet on the outside of the house that’s really more a fire hazard than anything else but the cool air is nice. they’re just lounging around reading comic books and listening to music on infinite’s old zune (lots of mid-2000s punk rock bands bc what else were u expecting) and in later years when they’re in that teen puppy love stage they’re trying to cuddle but it’s TOO DAMN HOT OUTSIDE so they resort to like, gentle hand holding, infinite reading some pretentious literary work or whatever and gadget spacing tf out next to him

when they graduate and are assigned a partner to walk down the aisle with they still end up w/ each other even though technically the partners are chosen according to alphabetical order and they’re on opposite ends of that list whOOPS how’d they do that? (hint: last minute shuffling in line)

when they move outta their small lil home town and into The Big City (im gonna say that would be Sunset Heights to tie in some canon plot relevance) they move in together and share a flat. a) its more financially manageable to just split housing costs like that and b) it’s been a dream their entire lives to live together when they’re older so oh!!! they’re older now!!!!! time to live together

neither can cook but its ok

it may seem like they bicker a lot but it’s usually either the like, joke argue of “what do you mean craft mac n cheese is gross take that back” or reprimands like “it’s one a.m. time to sleep u Fool” (self-care is important, lads). they actually communicate really well so high-stakes arguments aren’t super common (and when they do happen they dont tend to explode. i wanted to have them be the type that argue for understanding and not to prove they’re right, so that greatly affects the outcomes of their disputes.)

infinite loves to hum while he’s doing things, or just in gen, and his voice is very low and smooth and gadget looooooves it, so much. they’ll be, i dunno, doing some mundane thing, like maybe they’re out getting groceries or doin dishes or something (i love me that domestic content) and he’ll start humming quietly and it just, it really grounds gadget in a way that sometimes he doesn’t even know he needs till infinite does it.

anyone here ever played bayonetta? any a yall remember those bits where there’s a woman in bayo’s memories singing and/or humming ‘fly me to the moon’ all quiet and low? think that but just,,,, pitched down,,,, yeah,,,

the tunes are usually very slow and while not so much melancholy theyre just? i dunno melodic in the same lax, smooth-tempo’d way a lot of melancholy songs are? i dunno i like quiet, introspective infinite and aesthetics that reflect that

here’s a long one: about a month before infinite “goes missing” and forces happens, infinite lands a job at a local news outlet as one of the column writers and even tho he’s more into prose than journalism he’s so fuckin pumped. it’s mostly just excitement over not doing cashier work and having a money-makin outlet he’s at least somewhat interested in lol …aaaaaand the way ship headcanon works into this bullet is that when he finds out that he landed the job he so excited that when gadget walks into the room (it’s morning and gadget literally was just gonna get some coffee, he’s still in his pajamas, he’s got bedhead) infinite sees him and whoops he tackle-hugs him and then whoops he knocked them both onto the floor but its cool gadget kinda let it happen and when infinite tells him what happened and apologizes he’s now also super excited and happy for him so now there’s two (2) people screaming inside (and out) about this awesome development

here’s a short one: they wear each other’s clothes a lot

gadget’s v cuddly in his sleep so he gets really clingy w/ infinite when a) it’s early morning and they’re just waking up b) it’s Late o’ clock at night and they’re chillin at home or c) he’s Actually asleep and within like three feet of infinite

i dont really know how to end this lol i dont really wanna just start repeating myself and i might think of other stuff later but for now pls consider the following: when they sleep whoever’s big spoon ends up resting one hand over the other’s heart and it’s super sweet

5. How do they dress? What styles, colors, accessories, and other possessions do they favor? Why?

Hana tends to dress very light and feminine – pastels, especially pinks, creams, and whites, and floral print, and/or skirts, dresses, leggings, etc. Despite her style, she also dresses practically; you’re more likely to see her in flats than heels, leggings under her skirts, shirts that are easy to change out of in an emergency – and this is partly due to those types of clothes just being what she has around, and the internalized knowledge that the Gwishin could come back at any moment, so what if one day she doesn’t have time to change clothes, you know?

10. What energizes and drains them most?

I’d say Hana’s biggest negative energizer is alarms. She naturally associates alarms with disasters ;; the gwishin, natural disasters, waking up. Hearing one sends her pulse racing and gets her blood pumping, but also usually leaves her fingers and knees shaking.

Her best positive energizer would be playing games with her friends. She prefers video games, but in truth it’s simply the act of spending any kind of time with those she loves that makes her smile – video games are just a bit of an extra adrenaline source. I mean, have you ever had a really really close Overwatch match and it got your blood pumping? Yeah.

15. What kind of inner life do they have — rich and imaginative? Calculating and practical? Full of doubts and fears? Does it find any sort of outlet in their lives?

Ooh, inner mind stuff! Hana at heart has always been imaginative. She’s very inventive, with an odd kind of creative drive behind her thinking. She’s the one who looks at it all from another angle – without being told to and/or held upside down by one’s brother as he danced around the room.

That being said, imagination isn’t always a bad thing. Hana’s always allowed her creativity to go unchecked – i.e. it’s grown without constraint, so sure, she’s creative, but now that she’s older, with all that trauma from war, it’s taken to manifesting in less than pleasant ways. What was once a creative spark is now source for a lot of anxiety, a constant what if, what if, what if? What if the Gwishin come back and she can’t stop them? What if she’s not ready? What if she’s responsible for the fall of Busan?

20. What kind of individual relationships do they have with others, and how do they behave in them? How are they different between intimate relationships like friends, family, and lovers versus more impersonal relationships?

Hana is a very multi-faceted individual. Each relationship is special to her, and she behaves a bit differently for each – though there are exceptions to every rule, of course. With friends she’s just met, she’s much more… Controlled compared to her regular self. Once those friends work their way up to ‘close friend,’ however, she easily comes out of her shell and showers them with support and physical affection.

Hana hasn’t had contact with her family since she was eighteen – however, before that, life was more or less pretty okay. I imagine they wanted her to do more than pro gaming, but in the end it was her happiness that truly mattered. Hana would treat them with any respect and kindness that was due, but if they talked down to her, she’d be as big of a little shit as she could until they treated her as an equal in the conversation.

With lovers… Hana’s never really had an opportunity to be in a relationship. Before gaming, she was very enveloped in school and learning – and after gaming, she joined the military. Now theoretically she COULD get a date if she really wanted to, but… Well, she’s scared. She knows the risks of her job, and letting someone get so intimately close, only to die on them? She’s not that cruel.

25. What do they need and want out of relationships, and how do they go about getting it?

First and foremost what Hana needs is support. She needs someone who’s there for her on bad days, even if they don’t know it’s a bad day;; someone who cares for her. She won’t go out of her way to force you into that, but if you can’t give her the support she needs (i.e. because you don’t CARE, not because you’re literally unable to) she will drop you like a hot coal. She knows what she deserves, sometimes.

30. What is their preferred level of activity and stimulation? How do they cope if they get either too little or too much?

I hc all/most of my muses to have adhd like me – Hana herself has ADHD-c, also like me, also known as the combined type – she’s equal parts hyperactive and inattentive. This means she’s very in-tune with a lot of stimuli around her at any given moment. She has a rather high tolerance level (unlike me) which makes it easy to do stressful things like, say, pro gaming, without tunnel-visioning.

When she does get overwhelmed, though, she tends to shut down – she becomes withdrawn and snappish and moody, much like a caged animal, and she has to leave at some point and find a way to relieve that tension – typically by playing a few games or listening to music.

When there’s not enough stimulation, Hana often resorts to her mind wandering, exploring different ideas and concepts. Normally, hey, sure, that’s fine, everyone does it – but for people with anxiety, this isn’t always a good thing. Why do you think she’s constantly out and about? She needs that stimulation.

35. How and why do they internalize knowledge? What effect has that had on them?

Hana is a very hands-on kind of learner. She can’t learn very well from just sitting and being told what to do, despite her good grades in school – it comes much easier when she has something to interact with, especially if finding a working method reaps benefits immediately – like gaming. She’s very inquisitive and a natural learner, and she’s always been drawn to hands-on jobs – pro gaming, MEKA, etc.

40. What do they wonder about? What sparks their curiosity and imagination, and why? How is this expressed, if it is?

Hana often wonders about a version of the universe where the Gwishin never attacked Busan. How advanced would they be, how populated would they be, would Busan expand? Shrink? Without the Gwishin to wreak havoc and destruction, what would city life be like? What would her life be like? With no need for MEKA, she’d likely still be in the pro-gaming scene, which… Well, it doesn’t sound like a bad thing.

Things that spark her curiosity and imagination are things she views as – well, curious. The meaning of life, the way human and omnic bodies move and function, a particularly good song… It’s all about finding the pieces that click. While Hana isn’t naturally artistically inclined, and doesn’t necessarily express these imaginings, she likes to seal them in little mental bottles and file them away for bad days when she needs a distraction.
