I hate it when fandom people look at a character (male or female) who doesn't conform to gender in one way or another and they all unanimously decide the character has to be trans. It's just so annoying seeing people 'They/them' every short haired tomboy and get super tilted when the cross dressing anime boy of the day is referred to as a man (even when he says he's male in the canon story). It's always so transparently about Looks and Aesthetics and Validation and (projecting their own self absorbed) Identity or whatever.
Also, I've noticed that trans people are the ones who are the most obsessed with how Gay™ the characters are. It's like a source of gender euphoria to them. I just think it's ironic how people assume homosexuals are obsessed with their own sexuality when it's the straight agp/fujoshi trans people that slobber all over this stuff.
Sorry for ranting in your inbox, btw
It’s so sexist. They seem to be unable to comprehend the idea of gender non-conformity existing separately from trans identity. And the crazy thing is that a character doesn’t even need to be that GNC, because the trans community is so incredibly reliant on gender stereotypes that they will see a character wear one garment that could be considered GNC, and they declare them trans.
And omg the obsession with “they’re so Gay™️” drives me NUTS!!!! It’s so clear that they think being gay is a personality trait and not just a boring natural part of somebody. They’re always bringing it up in ways they’d never bring up heterosexuality. I never see people saying things like “so much straight!” So why are they saying things like “so much gay!”? They use “gay” the same way you’d use cool, cute, etc. It’s so jarring because homosexuality is just so normal to me. It’s like having hands or feet. So then I see people running around all over every fandom going “omg they’re gay and in love!!! They’re so gay!!! THE GAYYY!!!” And I feel like I’m in some weird alternate universe. And it’s always so tempting to ask them, would you talk about a straight character/couple this way? No? Then why do you talk about gay characters/couples this way?
The irony is kind of funny. Most homosexuals just want to be left alone. We don’t act like this. It’s the straight people who want so badly to be gay for some reason that do.
