What is your process for tuning, if you don't mind me asking? 👉👈
idm u asking at all dw :3 i can try explain but i am So bad at explaining this stuff so bear w/ me and expect the worst LOL
so ( usually ) what i do is get some ( what i like to call ) “base” tuning done before i do anything, so pitch dips at the start and end of words etc!!
after that, i’ll add vocal modes ( so softer parts have example: gentle vocal mode, and powerful parts get power vocal mode ) after that, ill usually add some “pitch cracks” on the more powerful or emotional parts ( unsure what else to call them ) so instead of a dip when a note starts, i’ll remove any dips i added and change them so it ascends downwards onto the note like the singer is starting off on a higher note? sometimes it doesn’t work great so i’ll do notebending and take part of the note up .. i feel lke i’m explaining this poorly LOL. hold on ..
so here is what i’d personally call “base” tuning, it’s got the basics for how i’d want it to sound if i’m going for realism, this would fit for basically anything

but if i want it to have more power, then i’ll do this

but sometimes doing this with pitch bending doesn’t give me the desired effect or the “crack” can sound off, so i’ll note bend it instead like this

im still very inexperienced with tuning so maybe i’m going abt this the wrong way but it’s what works for me LOL . i really like doing pitch cracks, it’s probably the most fun i have w tuning alongside vocal modes!! i have a LOTTT of fun wuth vocal modes and messing with tension, breathiness, gender and tone shift!!! def my fave things 2 mess w:3
