Personal headcanon that I think is implied a little bit in the game is that you, Alex Winston, have some sort of beef with Patrick Bannon

Like we already know for one Patrick would be anything but kind to other staff, let alone the janitor turned broadcaster out of nowhere

You’re kinda distracted/have headphones on so you don’t hear your boyfriend knock on the front door. Your mom answers it and lets him in and he climbs the stairs

He can hear your fangirling (freaking out) over something as he walks towards your room

You jump in surprise when he opens the door, because you thought he would be a bit later but immediately release your pent up excitement

“Tooru just LOOK at him he’s such a bad ass like oh my gosh he literally has swords and he’s still running around slaying the MPs who have guns. God whenever he gets angry he looks so hot,” etc. etc.

Doesn’t really know you’re into anime/gaming at first

I don’t think that’s on purpose - Atsumu just has such a one track mind when it comes to volleyball and he’s always busy with practice

so he just kinda doesn’t really give all the anime merch in your room a second glance even though it’s a dead giveaway

I bet Atsumu secretly watches some superhero anime - probably shounen stuff like My Hero Academia, one punch man etc.

He probably starts to notice you’re into anime/games because you’ll play games on your phone/gaming device all the time

One day he notices you’re giggling + blushing while looking at your screen. He’s curious to he heads over to you when coach says they can have a break

Peeks over your shoulder because he wants to know what you’re playing - but instead he’s greeted by some 2D samurai guy called Harada Sanosuke asking you to marry him

“Huh, I didn’t know you were into this kinda stuff y/n” tries to sound playful but internally he is screaming / ?????? WOT I DIDN’T KNOW MY S/O WAS INTO OTOME GAMES

Atsumus pretty chill about it at first, he probably teases you a lot about playing the game but isn’t really bugged about it

I mean - he knows he’s attractive and why be jealous? You only really play the game when he’s busy and you don’t really let the game play seep into your dates/hangouts

Has everything set up - this man is ready to go: snacks? he has all of your favorites, couch? filled with soft pillows + multiple pillows. Attire? Comfy sweatpants shirtless 🥵

Last time he chose the series for your binge sleepover so he let you choose what the two of you were gonna watch this time

Turns out you decided to watch Psycho-Pass - it seemed like a pretty cool show, he was down with the whole dystopia/psychological concept

Starts out pretty normal, is appreciating the action + mystery elements and is glad that you chose that show

About halfway through the anime you two decide to take a break - he goes to the kitchen to refill your snacks, leaving to stretch you back.

When he comes back with more food, he notices that you’re hunched over your phone, typing something

He sneaks up behind you after he puts the food down, “Whatcha reading there babe?” You squeak and try to hide your phone, but not before he sees the words kougami x reader typed into your tumblr search bar

Lit-rally exCuSE me what - he’s not mad (more amused than anything else) but he also kind wants to tease you (bc Mattsun is a little shit)

Now that he’s released the floodgate, he can’t stop your occasional comments like “omg how does he look so GOOD when he’s punching someone” or “he could shoot me with his dominator and i’d still say thank you”

The thirst comments are kinda getting to him, so he decides to take things in a different direction

“Let me what I can show you with my dominator~” L M A O I’M SORRY THIS EXISTS

Suddenly you’re being pulled onto his lap, and pressed against his bare chest, Issei barely gives you time to adjust before he’s kissing you roughly, tongue plunging into your mouth

His hands wrap around your hips pressing your core closer to his own, and you can feel his hard-on pressing into your stomach

He’ll be sure to suck a dark hickey onto the side of your neck and his hands travel under your shirt, just to remind you who your real boyfriend is

Hyrule Warriors - BotW

 So, with the Switch out, one thing it’s been noted for is releasing either undated ports or straight-up sequels to Wii U games (they’ve done it with Mario Kart 8, Pokken Tournament, Splatoon, and they’ve heavily implied that they’re going to do something similar with Smash 4), I wouldn’t be too surprised if they eventually revealed either a port or (probably more likely) a sequel to Hyrule Warriors.

So, obviously, they’d have to capitalize on the hype of BotW, and include at least one (if not all) of the Champions if they did. And I could see each of them working fairly well. As such, here’s my speculation on what each of them could possibly bring to the table...

First is my personal favorite out of the Champions, Urbosa

She’d be a Lightning warrior, and her weapon would be “Scimitar”; Level 1 - Gerudo Scimitar (which also has her equipped with a Gerudo Shield) Level 2 - Moonlight Scimitar (which also has her equipped with a Radiant Shield) Level 3 - Scimitar of the Seven (which also has her equipped with the Daybreaker) Level 4 - Scimitar of the Seven+ (same as level 3)

With her huge, muscular build (*drools*), I can see her being a bit of a lightning bruiser who’s both fast and powerful, but is a bit lacking in defense due to the Gerudos’ overall tendency to wear little armor and leave a lot of skin exposed.

Her X attack (or Y if you’re like me and prefer the “Zelda Style” control settings) would be to use Urbosa’s Fury; she snaps her finger, and a bolt of lightning comes down directly in front of her, doing a small amount of damage, but stunning anyone hit by it. Additionally, several of her combos could end with a powerful shock via Urbosa’s Fury.

Lastly, her special attack would be a powerful sword combos, ending with her calling upon Vah Naboris to unleash a massive, wide-range blast of lightning. Or something like that. For obvious reasons, I thought it would be neat to utilize the Divine Beasts in some way or another for each of their Special Attacks. ------------ Next is Daruk;

He’d be a Fire warrior, and his weapon would be “Goron Blade” Level 1 - Cobble Crusher Level 2 - Stone Smasher Level 3 - Boulder Breaker Level 4 - Boulder Breaker+

He’d be about what you’d expect from a large rock-man weilding a giant metalic sword-hammer; slow, powerful, and tanky. Admittedly, his overall fighting style would probably feel similar to Darunia’s, though I can think of a few ways to keep them form being basically clones of each other.

The biggie would be his X (or Y) ability; Daruk’s Protection. Similar to the likes of Ruto and Twili Midna, he’d have a separate meter that would increase as he dealt damage to the enemy. Once said meter is full, you activate his famous barrier by pressing X/Y, which will block any and all damage from enemy attacks. To keep it from being too OP, it’ll only last for a few seconds. 

Another possibility is to include a counter mechanic similar to the parrying from BotW. If you activate Daruk’s Protection right as an enemy is about to hit you, they get stunned, which leaves him open for a punishing counterattack. Additionally, there’s always the possibility for some “barrier bashing” (like shield bashing, but with a barrier) in some of his combos.

For his special attack, he’ll call upon Vah Radunia, who will proceed to kick a conveniently located volcano and make it erupt. Daruk protects himself with his barrier, while the are around him is bombarded with a shit-ton of magma bombs. ------------ After that, we have Mipha;

Surprisingly, she’s Water. Imagine that. And her weapon will be “Spear” Level 1 - Zora Spear Level 2 - Silverscale Spear Level 3 - Lightscale Trident Level 4 - Lightscale Trident+

Okay, so Mipha was a bit tricky, and I ultimately ended up taking some liberties with her when I came up with ideas for her. Aside from being adorable, the only thing she had going was her healing ability, Mipha’s Grace. Dunno if something like a free heal would fly in a game like Hyrule Warriors. But I didn’t want to leave it out, since it’s such a huge part of her in the game.

As such, Mipha’s Grace functions similarly to Fi and Cia’s X/Y ability; rather than an attack, it gives her a temporary buff to Defense. 

As for her fighting style...honestly, just picture Ruto with a spear, and that’s more or less the mental image I’m getting. She’s very swift and graceful, and while each individual attack doesn’t deal a whole lot of damage, they’re quick to execute, so the damage adds up rather quickly; kinda like the spear weapons from BotW.

Additionally, while some of her attacks would still involve water, I figured out a fun way to further separate her from Ruto; have some of her combos involve flinging Cryonis cubes. I mean, Vah Ruta used them during the “battle” against it (also that entire sequence is easily one of my favorites in the game), and she does have control over Vah Ruta. So it’s not too far fetched.

And let’s be real, HW has already taken more than a few liberties with various characters’ movesets, so why not?

Anyways, for her special attack, I thought it’d be fun to base it on one of the shrine quests. 

Basically, once you clear Vah Ruta and get the Lightscale Trident, there’s a shrine you can unlock by heading to a place called the Veiled Falls, where there’s a waterfall and a shrine platform. What you have to do is swim up the waterfall with the Zora Armor, then use the aerial spear attack (a death-from-above stabbing attack) and land on the platform.

So basically...that. She calls for Vah Ruta, who sprays a waterfall-like stream from its trunk for her to swim up, and then she dive bombs spear-first into the group of enemies, creating a shock wave that smack anyone nearby. ------------ Last, and certainly least (because I honestly don’t like this guy), is Revali.

His element would be Light, but only because I didn’t want to repeat elements, and Dark wouldn’t really make sense. Honestly, if they do make a sequel, they should add a Wind element. That’d be a lot more fitting. Anyways, his weapon is “Bow”. Level 1: Swallow Bow Level 2: Falcon Bow Level 3: Great Eagle Bow Level 4: Great Eagle Bow+

At first, it was kinda hard not to picture Revali playing a lot like Medli, with the only obvious difference being that he he’d have a bow and not a harp. Fewer gusts of wind, and more arrow barrages. But as far as how they move around, a lot of the ideas I was coming up with ended up being cases of “wait didn’t Medli do that?”

With that said...yeah. His X/Y attack is more or less the same as Medli’s. He uses Reveli’s Gale to fling himself and any opponents next to him into the air, then he can either do a flurry of rapid attacks against the enemies in the air, do a dive-bomb attack against enemies on the ground, or perform a few air dashes.

Because I don’t see the follow-up attacks working well with a bow, I figured he could brandish a Feathered Edge for these (and a few of his other combos), possibly as a nod to how Link can use both a melee weapon and a bow in both games. Honestly, there’s no other reason for it other than it might look kinda cool. Other than that, though, most of his attacks will involve multiple barrages of arrows.

For his special attack, he’ll leap into the air and call upon Vah Medoh, who will swoop in and bombard the area in front of where Revali was standing. Then he’ll pull out his bow and fire three Bomb Arrows simultaneously. I can’t help but picture it being done in slow motion, as a shout-out to the mechanic from the actual game. ------------ Anyways...yeah, that’s pretty much it. This isn’t meant to be a prediction or anything, and if it actually does happen, I’ll be surprised if they’re anywhere close to what I’ve put here. This is just something I thought of when I was bored that I feel would be pretty sweet, and decided to post for the hell of it.

Also, can we get a Giant Boomerang weapon for Link? ‘cause like...that’s kinda my favorite weapon in BotW. I don’t even know how a moveset centered specifically around it would work, but I want one.

13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?There’s probably so many I don’t think of because I’ve taken them to heart, but the best one I can think of right now is “said isn’t dead”. Using too many action-y based words during dialogue can upset the flow, and it’s ok to use ‘said’ because its accurate, and not at all distracted.  I’m glad I was taught this after middle school tried to convince me otherwise.

Lemme scroll through my googledoc and see what I even have started hah!Ok so there are a lot more than I realized, and some I haven’t worked on in ages, but I’ll put ‘em here anyways! I’ll organize them by how much I have written for them. Spawned from that “when a group of friends is formed, the mom friend emerges” post. It was decided that Ritsu would try to be the most responsible of them all and thus the mom friend. (Teru does his own thing, Mob wouldn’t wanna ruin the others’ fun, and Shou…is Shou). Also spawned from a hc that, in short, is Teru and Shou would be Those Friends who would be real competitive and egg each other on and, if unsupervised, would be Bringers of Destruction). He has confiscated many “Bad Idea Materials “.The story would just be Ritsu tryin to keep his friends safe heh. Direct quote from outline “”ritsus always like! how the fuck! my guy! just stop this it’s like ur trying to get urself killed!!teru and shou just “we are” simultaneously and ritsu rly cant tell if its a joke but hes mildly concerned for a week after”“. My idea of where Pidge may have ended up after S1. Completely pointless now, although I’m still wondering if it would be something interesting to post as a ‘what if’. I’d have to finish it though and I am not particularly motivated since S2 came out. I just kinda wanted to make a cool fic about Pidge being lost on a water-based planet and trying to get their lion functional again with whatever was around so they could meet back up with the rest of voltron (also I wanted to make another nonbinary pidge fic for the tag cause those fics Give Me Life)4. “shou u little fucker open up“. Mp100.  A loose sequel to “My Parents Should Have Taken Me Back for Repairs Before the Warranty Ran Out”. Snippets of Shou bein relatable and Depressed and Ritsu helpin him out as he can. Written so far: depression meals aka being too down to go to the kitchen for food let alone going to the petstore to get your hamster more food so you text your best bro to get hamster food for you and tell him to feed ur pet for you and bein discrete enough that he thinks youre out of the house otherwise he might not do it cause theres no way in hell youre telling him you didnt do it yourself cause you didnt have the energy to get off the couch for like 20 hours5. “Awakening“. Mp100. I realllly wanna finish and post this one. Its based on those lines those claw guys said. “HQ sent an awakened brat” “What? A kid went though that?”. Shou doesn’t know how bad his dad is, he is young and loves his parents. He admired his dads powers. He wants to be like his dad. He doesn’t know what it costs. (He is weak in power, and his dad wants him to be strong, an heir, so he takes him to a branch and has him tortirued to awaken his powers fully).Fully written (but in need of revision/I’m uncertain of whether or not to actually post it):1. “Ritsu worries for Shigeo, Shigeo worries for the cats“. Mp100. A post Mogami arc fic. Ritsu knows nothing of what his bro went through, but Mob has a new habit of feeding any and all cats on their way to school. One day two of the cats are fighting and mob stops responding and goes to break up the fight but he’s already losing himself to his powers so Ritsu has to help him back down. He is more confused than ever.2.”Instinct, and the Training of“. Mp100. A fic about ???%, or about Mob’s powers, personified. Whichever the viewer themself wants to read it as, I left it ambiguous on purpose. Personally I like to think of it as ???% but I won’t make others read it as that. Every time ???% happens, or nearly happens, or is implied to have happened, from the pov of itself. Written in such a weird style, I just need to reread it and see if it sounds ok and other last review things before publishing. Oikawa Tooru

Since practice finishes pretty late he usually goes to see you at your house at night, but tonight things wrapped up earlier - he’s excited to spend more time with you

You’ve finished up most of your homework so you’ve just been rewatching Attack on Titan since you’re super excited for the new season 

You’re kinda distracted/have headphones on so you don’t hear your boyfriend knock on the front door. Your mom answers it and lets him in and he climbs the stairs

He can hear your fangirling (freaking out) over something as he walks towards your room

You jump in surprise when he opens the door, because you thought he would be a bit later but immediately release your pent up excitement

“Tooru just LOOK at him he’s such a bad ass like oh my gosh he literally has swords and he’s still running around slaying the MPs who have guns. God whenever he gets angry he looks so hot,” etc. etc. 

You’re shoving your laptop in his face, showing him gifs and video of attack on titan, specifically the captain of the survey corps that you are obsessed with

Tooru gets it - for him its space, shitty alien films and astronomy. For you it’s video games and anime - or more specifically, handsome characters from said franchises

Even though he understand that it’s something you’re passionate about he still makes a whole show about whining how you’re in love with Levi Ackerman (lmao i still thirst over our favorite captain) instead of him

“y/n i’m taller than him! And more handsome! He has blood on him all the time! And he’s super annoying because he’s obsessed with cleaning.” *cue pouty Tooru*

You probably shouldn’t tell him that you are an avid follower of the levi x reader tag on tumblr 

Tooru still somehow finds out you’re also reading reader insert fanfic and goes BERSERK with his pouting and whining - literally everyone and their mothers have heard his sob story about how “his darling y/n is leaving me for a short germaphobic asshole” 

The rest of the team finds it hilarious - the end up pranking him by posting pictures of Levi in his school locker or texting them in the volleyball groupchat (Oikawa is Suffering™)

Makki and Mattsun get him a Levi keychain for his birthday and cackle when he chucks it violently into the nearest trash can 

Miya Atsumu

Doesn’t really know you’re into anime/gaming at first

I don’t think that’s on purpose - Atsumu just has such a one track mind when it comes to volleyball and he’s always busy with practice

so he just kinda doesn’t really give all the anime merch in your room a second glance even though it’s a dead giveaway

I bet Atsumu secretly watches some superhero anime - probably shounen stuff like My Hero Academia, one punch man etc. 

He probably starts to notice you’re into anime/games because you’ll play games on your phone/gaming device all the time 

One day he notices you’re giggling + blushing while looking at your screen. He’s curious to he heads over to you when coach says they can have a break

Peeks over your shoulder because he wants to know what you’re playing - but instead he’s greeted by some 2D samurai guy called Harada Sanosuke asking you to marry him 

“Huh, I didn’t know you were into this kinda stuff y/n” tries to sound playful but internally he is screaming / ?????? WOT I DIDN’T KNOW MY S/O WAS INTO OTOME GAMES

Atsumus pretty chill about it at first, he probably teases you a lot about playing the game but isn’t really bugged about it

“Maybe you should thirst over your boyfriend instead of a fictional character babe~”

I mean - he knows he’s attractive and why be jealous? You only really play the game when he’s busy and you don’t really let the game play seep into your dates/hangouts

But one time he walks in on you reading some ~spicy~ hakuouki x reader fanfic and he’s like are u serious

Like you were lowkey quiet screaming to yourself and muttering “omg omg omg” when he walked in and you definitely tried to close your laptop so he couldn’t see what was open in your browser

Too bad Atsumu has mad reflexes and manages to prevent you from making your computer go to sleep

Briefly skims whatever it was that you were reading and smirks at you 

“Hey, if you really want something like this, why don’t you let your real boyfriend deliver” before kissing you

Matsukawa Issei

Look, Issei just wants a chill movie/tv show night where the two of you can bundle up on the couch and binge whatever anime you feel like

Has everything set up - this man is ready to go: snacks? he has all of your favorites, couch? filled with soft pillows + multiple pillows. Attire? Comfy sweatpants shirtless 🥵

Last time he chose the series for your binge sleepover so he let you choose what the two of you were gonna watch this time 

Turns out you decided to watch Psycho-Pass - it seemed like a pretty cool show, he was down with the whole dystopia/psychological concept

Starts out pretty normal, is appreciating the action + mystery elements and is glad that you chose that show 

About halfway through the anime you two decide to take a break - he goes to the kitchen to refill your snacks, leaving to stretch you back.

When he comes back with more food, he notices that you’re hunched over your phone, typing something

He sneaks up behind you after he puts the food down, “Whatcha reading there babe?” You squeak and try to hide your phone, but not before he sees the words kougami x reader typed into your tumblr search bar

Lit-rally exCuSE me what - he’s not mad (more amused than anything else) but he also kind wants to tease you (bc Mattsun is a little shit) 

“Is that the reason you wanted to watch this show?” he asks playfully. “He’s pretty hot tho, I kinda agree with you there babe.” 

Now that he’s released the floodgate, he can’t stop your occasional comments like “omg how does he look so GOOD when he’s punching someone” or “he could shoot me with his dominator and i’d still say thank you” 

The thirst comments are kinda getting to him, so he decides to take things in a different direction

“Let me what I can show you with my dominator~” L M A O I’M SORRY THIS EXISTS

Suddenly you’re being pulled onto his lap, and pressed against his bare chest, Issei barely gives you time to adjust before he’s kissing you roughly, tongue plunging into your mouth

His hands wrap around your hips pressing your core closer to his own, and you can feel his hard-on pressing into your stomach
