you're the kind of creature a person would see standing in the corner of their room, projecting such strong negative energy it makes them curl up under the blanket and pray for protection. the kind that would circulate around the internet because people can't stop talking about this figure that had unexpectedly shown up in what was supposed to be a happy family photo. the kind that parents would make up stories to scare their children into behaving.

one glance is all it would have taken for ghost to aim his gun at you and fire away. no one else is around at his end of the building, and no one would question it if they heard shooting, but seeing you made him pause. he's not sure if he feels scared, but he's definitely intrigued. you're unusually tall with long, crooked limbs and hair that reaches down to your knees. the two black holes where your eyes should be have him tightening his grip on his weapon because he can feel you staring at him, and when you open your mouth, all he can see is sharp, bloody teeth and pieces of what looks like some sort of meat stuck between them. he thinks he can guess what, or who, you ate.

what he doesn't expect, however, is for you to move forward, seemingly floating on the ground, and stand right in front of him. you carefully bring a hand up to his face with slow and gentle movements before caressing his mask. your nails are long and black, and he can almost hear you let out a soft sigh as you brush a thumb over the skull. he can't figure out why he promises that he won't hurt you, but his intrigue grows when two white dots glimmer right in the empty pools of your face.

when ghost regroups with the rest of the squad, no one can pinpoint why he feels more menacing than usual or why there's a bigger, darker shadow following him.

quality time guy by default. to give you his whole, undivided attention—with that sharp eye trained on details most wouldn’t even register—is his way of offering the best version of himself, to let his quiet love speak loudly with intention. this isn’t something he puts on for show. . he will tell you by his language that this is akin to breathing, this is him and his nature of love.

listening to each other’s playlist, offering you his thoughts, even recommending you songs he thinks you’d like—he’ll go down rabbit holes of albums you’ve never heard of, just to find that one track that might make your eyes light up.

watching documentaries, a smile lingering in the corners of his lips when you ask a thoughtful question, looking at you as if you’ve said something endearing. (you realize much later that he actually glances at you more than the screen.)

walking home together, with the setting sun bathed into the grooves of your skin as he lets you do the talking, or sometimes when silence grows, his cheeks would blossom as he feels the warmth of your hand in his, interlocked, as you tease him if he’s ever thinking about you. (he does, quite so.)

(and yes. one of his favourite memories are you and him studying at his place or yours despite how unproductive it gets because what matters is both of your knees are touching and he's telling you about the time he and yamaguchi built a lego set for hours until halfway through, as if it just occurred to him—he admits he’s been in love with you ever since he understood what love could be.

loving you, for him, is like building something that takes a lifetime. beautiful. steady. time dissolves into irrelevance. no matter how much time he'd waste, the quality is here, where he’s allowed to lay his heart bare without needing to speak a single word more.)

Honestly for this au I think that Makarov fits the role more than Graves. Mainly because of his relationship with Price, but also because I think his dynamic with Soap would be really interesting!

Anyway here are some sketches I did of him + Soap because I love him

I tried to establish some connections between him and Soaps snake tattoo. The idea is that he got it while they were still working together and later tried to cover it up with flowers.

I'm still not 100% sure about his design + it was my first time drawing him but um yeah... here he is!

I think this is one of my favorite lines from the Wraith route because of (imo) how much the meaning changes depending on if you got there via Spectre or Nightmare. For Spectre, it honestly strikes me as a genuine question. Why are you doing this to her? If you're on the Spectre route, you presumably already know the Narrator can't really be trusted, since you had to reject his reward to get here. What are you hoping to gain from continuing to hurt her? For Nightmare, it honestly just makes me sad. As the Shifting Mound describes her, "She desires only companionship, but the only thing she knows is how to hurt." This line feels like a plea from someone who genuinely doesn't understand why you keep rejecting her. She wants to be with you, but she just can't understand how to do that in a way which doesn't hurt you.
