that scene in unraveled where keefe walks in and alvars watching the great british bake off made me want to make a part two to my original meme

do yall think alden's parents were at alvar's tribunal

or edaline and juline's parents at sophie and dex's planting, losing two more grandchildren

gisela's parents finding out what she's done, how she's hidden her ability since childhood all to be underestimated, and wondering where they went wrong

cassius's parents refusing to even speak to him once he's removed from his title of emissary. and when word gets out that keefe made it to exillium, his fathers only words to him in decades are, "he's still more of a Sencen than you."

brant's mother and father falling further into their guilt, wondering how they missed something so important. they missed everything, and people died for it. why didnt he just tell them? maybe they could have helped. maybe they could have saved him...

elwin's parents as he calls home and tells them of this talented, brave girl he just can't stop bringing back to life, and they worry about how much of a toll it takes on him to see so much violence, to lose these children over and over

grady's parents when the council put the ability restrictor on sophie, and they're suddenly taken back to a hundred years ago, watching their son manifest and being told, "he's too powerful."

"fitz was right to never forgive alvar" and "alvar is capable of growing and becoming a better person no matter what depths he's sunk to because there is no point at which you lose the ability to change and improve" are two things that can, and do, coexist. unforgivable and irredeemable are two different things

I absolutely despise Alden Vacker. Half of that hatred comes from him being problematic, and the other half comes from him putting a bad name on the name Alden. The only character I’ve come across with my name and it’s this guy???

Anyway, never thought I’d catch myself making Keeper of the Lost Cities fanart in almost 2025, but here I am, doing that.

I took some creative liberties with Alvar. I really wanted his deranged loser qualities to shine through

do you- do you ever think about how Fitz Vacker grew up loving his big brother and admiring him and how he had no idea that his big brother secretly hated him the whole time and actually favored his sister and best friend over him

do you ever think about how Fitz truly loved Keefe and wanted to be there for him, only to find out that Keefe has resented him for most of their friendship and would choose his betraying brother over him

do you ever think about how Fitz told Sophie she was the only one he trusted, and how willing he was to share himself with her, only for her to withhold from him and run to his best friend and leave him in the dark
