đź’— GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?
Thank you for asking! đź’ś This one's maybe more of a guess on my part, I think, because I haven't written that far for any of the characters yet and sometimes they surprise me, lol.
Ayre likes to play their cards pretty close to their chest, so I don't think that them with a crush would look much different than how they behave now. In love, assuming the feeling is mutual, I think they wouldn't have anything to hide any more. They would be much more open with affectionate words and gentle touches, and quite a bit like a cat that drops dead birds at the foot of your bed (though hopefully they choose more useful gifts).
Jolenn is already such an ostentatious flirt that I'm not sure you could tell the difference between how they usually act and how they would act when they have a crush. Maybe they would be caught stealing glances more often than usual. In love, Jolenn would be quite clingy, both in physically wanting to hold or be held and in the way that they would want to do everything and go everywhere together. Some might find it annoying, lol.
Nex, being demiromantic and also very closed emotionally would probably be hard to read. If they had a legit crush, it would be on someone that they had already formed quite a close bond with, and they would be quite surprised to feel such a thing at all. They might be a bit more broody than usual. In love... It's hard to say. At first they might start to test boundaries, to be their very worst self, to see if this is even a safe person to have such feelings for. If all goes well, then they would become quite fiercely defensive and protective of that person, and likely more open and talkative than they've been before.
Wren, particularly with a crush on MC, would be quite peculiar at first. They might withdraw, have a hard time talking, and try to make some distance. Eventually they would settle and look to spend more time and space with MC, playing games or just asking them questions. In love, Wren could be quite the hopeless romantic: tenderly gazing at the object of their affection for minutes or hours, taking photos of them or taking photos together, and probably journaling about them too.

So, do you accept asks from the Rogue Trader questions list? Because I'd love to know 8, 9, 11 and 12 for Ariette!
I absolutely do accept asks from the Rogue Trader questions list! 🙂‍↕️💜 Thank you so much for the prompt!
Ariette von Valancius Character Questions
A little background for context purposes: Ariette has the Ecclesiarchy origin but she isn't a priest. She was part of a Voidborn clan of scribes, archivists and records keepers living and working on a nameless asteroid (its only identification was a serial number) orbiting a Shrine World of the Adeptus Ministorum.
This asteroid housed a vast repository of data collected by missionaries sent to remote planets which had yet to be brought into the God-Emperor's light, describing everything from the local flora and fauna, to the strange and varied cultural practices they encountered, to conflicts they were involved in.
Most of it was centuries old and utterly forgotten by all but the diligent branch of Adeptus Administratum workers who continued to look after it, year after year, decade after decade, century after century.
Ariette was one such worker.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
8. What was their Triumph? Do they take pride in it?
By painstakingly collating several disparate sources she had discovered in the mouldering depths of an all-but-forgotten section of the library, Ariette was able to piece together the hagiography of the most prominent Saint whose relics were interred on the planet below.
This work had been thought lost centuries before, and its discovery prompted renewed interest from pilgrims all over the sector. Of course, the find was not credited to a lowly archivist like her, but rather the God-Emperor's providence and the diligence of His faithful priesthood, though Ariette did receive a rank promotion and a commendation for her efforts. She was very proud, as was the rest of her clan.
9. What was their Darkest Hour? How does it affect them today?
A bright, curious girl of fifteen, Ariette spent what little free time she had (for she was well into her apprenticeship by then) exploring the nooks and crannies of her asteroid-wide library in search of forgotten secrets.
This was generally tolerated, since all proscribed material was under lock and key in the restricted section which only the Head Archivist and the Deacon stationed on the asteroid had access to.
After months of waiting and observing, Ariette finally discovered the Prayer of Machine Spirit Propitiation which would unlock the restricted section and allow her to state her curiosity about its contents.
What she didn't know was that an alarm would be sounded if any unauthorised personnel were to find their way inside. She had barely cracked open a tome detailing a long-dead missionary's encounter with xenos (!!) when library sentries burst in and hauled her away.
The punishment for such a transgression was death in the void, but the Head Archivist, who had known Ariette since she was born, pleaded with the Deacon to spare her life.
According to the Deacon, Ariette's spiritual purity was in question - for her young, unguarded mind was fertile soil for the seeds of corruption festering in the pages of those proscribed texts.
If she were to be spared, she had to be purified, and nothing cleansed the soul quite like pain.
Ariette was subjected to a ritual of mortification of the flesh - purifying the spirit through torture - which nearly killed her, and left many scars all over her body. Her hands - which she needed for work - were left untouched.
As a result, she always wears covering outfits which hide her deformities and still suffers from post-traumatic stress related to that experience. It was also what triggered her psychic awakening, which further traumatized her even as she tried desperately to keep her new abilities hidden.
11. Who amongst their retinue are they closest to?
In truth, Ariette isn't very close to anyone in her retinue. Although she does her best to be pleasant and courteous, a life spent in near-isolation with no-one but her clan for company has left her with few social graces, and her mannerisms often strike more worldly Imperials as strange. Plus, as a Voidborn (and an unsanctioned psyker to boot) she is used to being regarded with hostility and distaste.
The ones she has most in common with are Cassia (a fellow mutant with a sheltered upbringing) and Idira (a fellow unsanctioned psyker) but their differences make it difficult for her to get close to them.
Oddly enough, the one person who seems to understand and appreciate her predilection for temperance, introspection and looking beneath the surface of things the most is Yrliet, the Aeldari...
12. Who amongst their retinue do they clash with the most?
Abelard despairs of his mistress' shows of compassion to those who, in his opinion, don't deserve it, and her insistence to take a personal interest in the life of every peasant who comes begging for a favour. He also wishes she'd spend less time with her head in the clouds and her nose in a book, and more taking charge of her protectorate...although he can't rightly claim she is neglecting her duties.
Heinrix makes her highly uncomfortable for more than one reason, but Ariette does her best not to show it. He knows, though - she is sure of it. She tries not to interfere with his duties as a member of the Holy Inquisition, but she will put her foot down if they involve causing her people unnecessary harm. In spite of popular opinion, she isn't a pushover.
Phew, that turned out longer than I expected. =)

I'm sobbing as I send this but can I get smiling between kisses with kuujyu ;;;;;;; đź’śđź’ś thank you in advance
Wait, why are you sobbing?? Nooo!! I hope this little thing will cheer you up! More laughters than smiles, but I hope it's okay. Summary - Jyushi: *can't accept compliments* Kuko: *that Lady Gaga meme* Title: Addictive Fandom: Hypnosis Mic Pairing: Kuuko/Jyushi Prompt: Smiling in-between kisses
Jyushi’s room was exactly like its resident. A little quirky with many small details inspired by a specific aesthetic. Kuko, who was not used to such rich furnishing, had always been fascinated by the room. Even if there was a giant moon shaped lamp on the wall, the place was relaxing and calm… a good refuge from his everyday routine.
Every time he didn’t want to deal with the tasks given by his father, the young monk would declare that they would continue their training outside the temple and Jyushi would understand in an instant what he meant. They would stop in a nearby conbini to buy a few snacks and go straight to Jyushi’s house. Kuko would never confess it, but it had become basically a habit for him.Â
They would usually play video games or watch a movie for the entire afternoon, but that day Jyushi had decided to continue sketching the outfits for his band's next concert, so Kuko busied himself with his manga collection. The small bedroom was silent if not for a visual kei playlist coming from the pc.
“Kuko-san.” Jyushi called him at some point, almost startling him. “I need your opinion.”
“On what?” He asked and got up from the bed to move near the armchair the other was sitting on.
“I’m trying to come up with a cool embroidery design to add on our jackets.” He explained as he showed him his tablet. “ArgoξOrchestra’s new song has a lot of references to the Western zodiac, so my idea was to create a decoration combining each member’s sign constellation… what do you think?”
Kuko looked at the sketch and nodded. Jyushi had recreated the logo of his band by using some of the stars of each constellation. He had to admit it was cool. “It looks great, but I thought you didn’t feel good enough at embroidering to do big projects…”
“Well, as you often say, I won’t get better if I don’t keep practicing…” Jyushi murmured and opened another file on the tablet. “I’ve been working on smaller projects for some time now.”
“Pretty good advice, I gave you!” Kuko chuckled while sitting down on the arm of the chair to look at the other pictures. “You’re already talented, so just imagine what you’ll do when you've mastered the art!”
“Oh.” Jyushi nodded and tried to hide his face a little, but Kuko caught the faint blush that had appeared on his cheeks. The visual kei singer loved compliments, but he still couldn’t handle them if they came from people he really cared about. The monk glanced at the abandoned manga (surveilled by Amanda) on the bed and at the tablet… they had both finished with their own things, so it would be okay to tease Jyushi a litte, right?
“You’re also so creative… look at these designs!”Â
Jyushi blushed even more, hiding behind the tablet. “There’s no need to lie now, Kuko-san…”
“Are you calling me a liar?!” He pretended to be offended and took the device from his hands to place it on the nearby shelf. “I’m telling the truth. Talented, inventive, original…”
As Jyushi tried to cover his face with his hands, Kuko grabbed them and forced him to look up. “Kuko-san…”
Seeing him so embarrassed made the monk smile in an affectionate way before he continued with his list. “...unique, humble…”
“That… that has nothing to do with what I create…” The other protested and Kuko rolled his eyes.
“I’m trying to create a mood here.” He whispered. “Dummy…”
“H-Hey!”
Before he could add anything else, Kuko gave him a peck on the nose. “...a little too whiny…”Â
At that, Jyushi giggled a little.
“...kind…” He said and moved to leave a kiss on his cheek.
“Kuko…”
“...attractive…” He kissed him on his lips for an instant but, when he moved away, he felt Jyushi grab his jacket and tug. He smiled. “...eager…”
This time Kuko took his time with the kiss and he actually struggled to pull away. “Have I already said attractive?”
Jyushi laughed out loud. “Yes, you have.”
“Mmm… so damn attractive, then…”Â
“Don’t tell me you already finished the words to describe me.” His voice was a little deeper now, more similar to the one he used in his narcissistic chuunibyou’s mode.Â
“You just made me remember one: cocky.” They both chuckled and shared another brief kiss. Kuko moved to get up and go back to his manga after that, but Jyushi grabbed his hand.
“I wasn’t joking, Kuko-san. G-Go on…” He was blushing again, embarrassed by the request he was making, but a little more confident after Kuko’s words.
“Let me think.” The monk smiled and slowly sat down on Jyushi’s lap. His lips were almost on the other’s when he whispered one last word.
“Addictive.”
