Whenever I consider an older Stan and Ford meeting a younger version of Stanley through some sort of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey scenario (which happens relatively frequently) ...there is one thing that grounds me from the probable fun/hijinks that would eventually abound:

Younger Stan (mullet-or hell, even teen Stan), upon seeing a 60+ Stan, would in fact be freaking the fuck out.

Not if he saw Stanford- of course he would expect his brother to live well into his 60's and beyond. He's well equipped to succeed in life with his big brain.

Why are they still here? He's not the smart one, but he knows that's not how his story goes. He's always getting into trouble; it's going to catch up to him eventually.

something about the key colors for elphaba💚/glinda🩷/fiyero💙 and how they reveal a little about their dynamics with each other like:

complementary colors to a tea!

their explosive clashing is what brings out the best in both, making the big picture shine brighter

"pink goes good with green" "goes well with green" (it so does)

🩷💙 as gliyero:

aesthetically pleasing contrasting color combo like green/pink!

what really catches my eye tho is the underlying pink/blue as traditionally f/m gendered colors... (it's giving the "we're perfect together" traditional het couple)

💚💙 as fiyeraba:

NOT complementary colors this time... cold/cold color combo suggests some underlying similarity (aligned in their disillusioned view of the world, even if the way they deal with it differs at first)

they work effectively as harmonious colors that sit next to each other on the color wheel, creating a stable overall atmosphere

I haven't been in the stucky fandom that much but I've noticed that in fics, not a lot of writers write steve as intelligent? Like, the second cap movie shows that he is intelligent! The elevator scene! He saw 3 signs and immediately knew what was going on. He thinks super quick on his feet, and is the technically the avengers' leader who makes the plans of attack (their tactician when it comes to fights). He also knows French? He listens to batroc talk to him in French, understands him, and responds back in French! And also I know it's movie comic book science but the way he uses his shield quite literally shows that he has great understanding of (comic science) physics! He spends his time reading military strategy and history.

He doesn't have spy type intelligence but he's still very smart. The mcu sucks at sticking to their own characterization cuz past the second cap movie and the first (and maybe 2nd) avengers movie, I don't recognize steve. They just focus on his fighting but miss his intelligence and empathy(!!!!) (And let's never talk about endgame steve cuz that wasn't steve at all)

I used to have a really hard time bringing up the fact that I graduated from high school a year late without feeling the need to explain why and insisting that it wasn't my fault while simultaneously kicking myself for how much I sounded like I was just making excuses for something I should take responsibility for.

Then I watched Dimension 20's "The Seven" and suddenly I could simply say that I was a super senior.

The first time I heard the phrase "super senior" was in reference to Antiope Jones, a Black girl who had been held back a year after getting kidnapped and imprisoned by members of a fundamentalist cult, and like, girl, same.

So, since then, instead of anxiously spinning out any time I tried to tell a personal high school anecdote, I could just say I was a super senior, and then my brain would auto complete that statement with "like Antiope Jones" and I'd feel good about myself because Antiope Jones Is That Bitch.

That's what the problem had been the whole time. I wasn't worried about how other people would perceive me; I had been struggling with how I perceived myself.
